I have been going to this kebab shop for about 6 years now. (See other review) It's always been absolutely stellar. Looks like it's now under new management and much like other feedback I have seen I am incredibly disappointed. Portion size of the house special has halved. Yet the price is the same. The Donner meat quality is now the worst I have ever had and the Sheesh kebab tasted like a sheep farm. Will no longer be going here again. Very disappointed.

Disappointing, haven't used in a while, and won't be using again. The chips weren't fresh fried, and the special kebab has decreased in size. Not enough for two people. Real shame as the used to be our favourite as they're the only shop that do shwarma. Guess we'll have to go elsewhere where

OMG I was so disappointed. I always use Star Kebabs as always pleasant and food is good but thurs was completely different. Poor service, person in charge shouting at everyone and then he just threw my kebabs together. My chicken kebab had hardly anything in it. Told me it would be half hour wait but others who were there after me got their kebabs before I did, that usually not a problem but I ordered donar kebabs and chicken schwamma so usually put together straightaway. I felt very uncomfortable in shop 😕

I’ve been using Star OK for years now, and recently (since new management), the food quality has seemingly dropped off the face of the earth. Curly fries portion halved, no taste and felt like I was eating play-doh. Pizza is far too cheesy and leaves a weird aftertaste. I understand new management usually change things to their liking, but if it isn’t broken, don’t try and fix it. Miss the guys that used to work in there as well, always used to serve with a big smile and friendly conversation, not much of that anymore unfortunately.

I was going to right a review, but what this gentleman wrote a few weeks ago is exactly what my family and I experienced tonight, so here’s a copy and paste… “Has some one new taken over? Portions are getting smaller salad is practically non exisistent no chilli's and the kebab meat is burnt and dry Used this place for years now wondering if il go back” …also to add, expensive for what you get Hopefully these reviews will help them to improve, and they can get back to the previous standards, I for one would be fine paying the prices if that quality/quantity was on offer

Kebabs now come large or small ? Not a fixed regular price, nor size ? The grilled meat was unfortunately really tough & the product was excessively expensive for what was received from a small back street take-away.

Dear people I had offer 1 The food was terrible The lamb was burned Lam doner was disgusting The chips was cold and could not eating The tubs was it smell funny And the price it was £21.99 But when I went to collect it Thye charge me £24.99 And if you look at the grill Is all dusty The only thing it was good It was a pita bread

Menu not updated on line says 19.99 for 2x 14 inch pizza now 24.99 so sick of this place food cold and items missed or wrong from order. Star ok used yo be great 20 yrs ago would bother with this place now.

We were told 20 mins wait 45 mins later, ask for lamb and chicken donor combination got hard lumps of chicken which I fed to the dogs, lamb meat was tough ,the chilli sauce has no resemblance to chilli at all. Won't be going again.

Turkish service, turkish quality and the foods always satisfactory

Going to Dereham so phoned home and asked the Mrs if she fancied a Kebab! Had my youngest with me and he didn’t take much persuasion! Telephoned order and said would be ready in about 10 mins! Turned up and asked to wait as they had just put new kebab slab up! Said don’t worry, don’t mind waiting! Waited 25 minutes and was ready 2 meat and Chips and a Medium Doner for the wife £24.95, bit steep but there ya go! Got home 12 miles away from shop, opened up Doner and WOW! Tiny pita bread and 2 shaving of meat sbout 10” long and a couple of dried up bits at the bottom, all covered up with a mountain of salad! Phoned up, spoke to girl she said they were busy and that must be why! I said I had a picture of it and she said if you come back they would change it! I said logistics meant it was not a great idea to come back! She actually asked me what I wanted to do then! She said she would take my name and number and next time I called in they would give me kebab for free! Not really free though is it! Not sure when I’m ba CV k that way but we will see! I really think the whole meal agsin as me and the boy gave the Mrs some meat from ours so we all had smaller meals! To be honest, the one that put the meat in should be sacked and hold head in shame! Must have k own how little was going on the kebab! £7.50, what I joke! I’ll see you in a couple of weeks Star Kebabs and maybe I’ll have a better review! Have to say it’s the first time and the Mrs had a great one a few weeks earlier 😩😡

Called 11 times at 9 o’clock no reply have 5 children waiting for there dinner meat and chips

We have ordered from star ok five times now and every time they manage to miss something from the order. Won’t be ordering from here again

The kebab I had was great the only thing bad about it was that the Donner meant was abit hard .

Great food, friendly staff, great value for money, good variety.

Have tried three of the kebabs on offer here(Donor,Chicken Donor and Chicken Shish) and have all found to be of great quality. There's often a wait but that's down to the amount of orders they have. Shish kebabs are grilled to order and the donors both look and taste like there's some quality meat gone into making them. Donor wasn't to greasy and had a decent crust on the outside and soft in the middle. Decent value and a satisfying meal. If I were to be pick something that could be better the chilli sauce needs to be a bit spicier.

Cheese chips with tomato sauce and a chicken kebab is my favourite. I don't think I've ever had a bad one yet, and I've been using it once a month for 3 years ! Wow I've just realised why I can't fit in my clothes 🙄 awkward 🤔

I say that I won't come here again as it's not really all that healthy, but I'm here every Friday night for my pizza, kebab and chips. But the plus point is that they do a stuffed crust pizza, which none of the other takeaways do. Mmmmm, roll on Friday.👍🏼👍🏼

Tried to order and the girl on the phone was insulting and down right rude she eventually put the phone down on me - got to say I have never been so insulted in all my life, I would never go back to this take away again. If I were the manager I would seriously think about who I was employing, who was it that said the customer was always right? Well not at this take away, that’s for sure. Steer clear!

Been going here for years - best kebabs in Dereham. Plenty of choice & pretty quick service even when busy. Always been good food regardless of whether had a few drinks or not!! Does home deliveries as well.

I have Been ordering food from star ok kebab house in Dereham for years, tried to order again and was told that they were unable to take my order due to being sworn at last time we ordered, even though me nor my family have never been rude to any staff there. Absolutely disgusted with the girl who answered the phone as she had no interest in solving the issue at hand. Was hung up on after exclaiming how ridiculous the service was, strongly suggest not to order from here again and strongly recommend Kings Burger Bar instead.

First visit for a while. Used to be good, now sizes seem to have shrunk and on getting home found I'd got cheesey chips instead of plain. Do I look like a chav?Very disappointed and won't be using again. Advice try somewhere else or go to MacD's or Dominos.

When ordered food we was passed to person to person as someone couldnt understand the order of a plain chips and 2 burger meals, waited for nearly a hour and still no food, rang up and was told that we have got to wait more time as other order have been put before us so when the food finally areived another 45 mins later we was missing our chips so i rang up and said where is my chips where i was told by the guy that toke the order that we didnt order any when it was the first item of our order the guy said he would bring them now, 25 mins later i rang back as still no chips and spoke to one of the men that run starok and he was very apoligetic and said he would get the driver to deliver straight away which we finally got our completed order nearly 2 hours late !! Never ordering food again from there

Entrega ordenados y me dijeron una hora, me dijeron que me recogerá, pero me dijeron que sería más de media hora, que sería con nosotros en una hora. Llamé después de una hora y media y me dijeron que todavía estaban cocinando mi pedido y sería salir PRONTO. Bloody pobre para decir lo menos, podría haber preparado mi propio kebab y comido en una hora y media

Visited here before ,where after eating I was ill, was talked into visiting again, this the same happened, I was on the loo within half hour of eating my meal. No smoke without fire

He usado estrellas bien muchas veces, así que tengo mi familia y nunca hemos tenido un problema. No es nuestra primera opción, pero si estás realmente atascado vale la pena probarlo. Hemos tenido de pollo, hamburguesas, hamburguesas de carne, patatas fritas y que han sido siempre agradable. La ensalada de pollo hamburguesa es buena pero muy grasiento! El pollo no es genial, pero te llena bien con el panecillo gruesas y abundantes ensaladas. Las patatas fritas son siempre agradables y crujientes y la ensalada que te dan con las hamburguesas siempre es fresco. El precio es bueno, mejor que otros para llevar, pero la verdad es que su promedio para llevar local, no se puede esperar mucho más.

Nunca lo use este servicio entrega de nuevo!!Habíamos pedido comida y nunca nos dijeron que un tiempo de espera. Esperamos alrededor de 45 minutos. Que estaban bien. Llegó a una hora y les llamó para preguntar si estaba en el camino ad la señora se disculpó.Cuando la entrega llegó el conductor giraba en el coche a una velocidad alta no creo que sobre los niños ni nada de eso. Ella era muy grosero cuando me abrieron la puerta y cuando pedí un descuento porque había tomado tanto tiempo ella simplemente se miraban blankly. Estoy de acuerdo con el precio normal al final y pagado el total de dinero. Entonces ella no tenía cambio y era vaguear en su coche tratando de encontrarlo! Cuando ella debe haber esperado que hubiera necesidad de cambio y tomado con ella en primer lugar. Luego abrimos la comida estaba fría y pasada!No se usan de nuevo como la entrega, ya que su comida es normalmente bien.

El servicio clientes es completamente desagradable. Se tomaron 1 horas para entregar mi comida por que el tiempo era frío. También cuando el conductor entró en mi patio fue llegando a las velocidades más altas de lo que es apropiado, teniendo en cuenta que a menudo tienen un hijo de 5 años corriendo por fuera conmigo. Otra cosa es que tomaron casi 5 minutos encontrar el cambio correcto ya que dejamos dinero en coche y le costó encontrar.

Cold when delivered no apology they did not offer to replace the foods, there food is up and down all the time no consistency .

Got my order wrong, took over half hour to do a couple portions of chips and a donor wrap. The wrap didn't even get salad in it because I apparently said I wanted it plain, which I didn't and ended up putting my own in it. I would not recommend this place, go to ali Baba's down the road instead. Yalcin is a lad
