Goldstar in Breckland

The food here was so bad that my dogs turned their nose up at it, it took 2hrs to deliver for less than a few miles away. The food wasn't fresh, it arrived nigh on cold and the fact this place is allowed to operate on a high street is scandalous. I'll be reporting them to the local council and trading standards.

I enjoyed the lamb salad wraps and chips and can of diet coke in the cafe

Popped in while passing through Attleborough. Staff really nice and friendly. We only had time for a sandwich and baguette. Both really tasty and freshly made.

Ordered a margarita pizza and a 2x kids nugget and chips for delivery. The pizza arrived burnt, the kids meals were not cooked properly. I then had to take it back into the takeaway as they would not discuss over the phone. The staff member put the phone down on me when i called. I had to take my two children into town to return and then get a refund. I would never use this takeaway ever again. The racist comments from the staff about me being “a stupid white woman” were disgustingly rude.

Was awful ordered twice last order was 2 pizzas were over 2 hours to get delivered was £20 couldn't eat was like card

Food was awful all round ! Large chips was like a cone of chips and cold. The large kebab cost £9 was tiny no sauce options so ordered 2 chilli sauce and looked like chilli con carne. The fact this food cost me £30 makes me feel sick ! Total rip off and tasted terrible. Really disappointed.

Would not bother to go back again there is better places in town.

My husband & I went in here for the first time yesterday, we had burger & chips. The food was delicious & we will definitely go in again.

made an order on Goldstar Cafe App 18/10/21 money came out of the account and food did not turn up. expecting the money to bounce back but didn't £28.85 down the drain. hope to see a refund. UPDATE after 2 weeks and still not had a refund will now have to the correct authorities.

We wouldn't even put 1 star. Placed order on Sunday evening and money came out of the bank. After calling Sunday the staff claim it hasn't come through. I'm starting to think this is a scam after reading the reviews Goldstar, tut tut. Expect full refund or will definitely follow this up with the relevant authorities.

food turned up cold fish was hard as stone went straight in bin phoned up to view opinion owner said we are busy Saturday so what do I want him to do about it he couldn't remember the order then put the phone down on me

Our food turned up over an hour late, the wife called to chase up before it arrived but the guy on the phone completely blew his top. Thought he was going to have a heart attack, telling my wife it was her fault because they couldn't find the address being in mind it was ordered through just eat and address details were correct. I ordered my food at 2.00 o’clock and it turn up at 16:45 and I ask them for it ASAP and EVERY TIME I CALL THEY TELL ME IT WILL BE THERE SOON as I went to conplain About it they called my the c word and shouted down the phone to me I am so disgusted I will never be using this food place again And I will be report this company to who ever is in charge i and fed up every time I call them I get verbal abuse by the staff NEVER AGAIN and I will be make sure people know how they get treated by the staff and they told me I was gonna get my food at 3:00

** VERY POOR ** The business took my order over JustEat at £12 which was the spend needed for delivery, delivery location is 3 miles away which is roughly 7/8 minutes drive. I waited for about an hour to then go onto the site and find that Goldstar cafe had cancelled my order, I called to enquire and the staff rudely suggested that I need to spend at least £18/£19 for them to consider driving that far. Extremely rude customer service.

It's a fantastic place to eat, food is excellent and great value for money, and the people who run it are great and very welcoming, we love going there, 😀👍

Ordered via just eat for delivery at 7:15. It got to 8:15 and still hadn’t arrived. So we rang the cafe. They said sorry driver is on the way it will be there in 10 mins. We waited 20 mins and still nothing had arrived. Rang the cafe again. This time they said they didn’t receive our order as there receipt machine was broken and that they would send the driver and again would be 10 mins. Food arrived at 9pm. Although I’m not sure how they knew what our order was as the receipt machine was broken 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ after the extremely long wait we were hungry ! And the food was Luke warm and disappointing. We won’t be ordering again.

The chips was horrible and the sausage I had a bite and I had to spit it out horrible taste with the sausage not happy at all never going back

Should not be allowed to be part of just eat, cancelled late after originally confirming order. Will not be ordering from them again. Yes I'm hangry....maybe you would have had a better review had you delivered the order.

Stopped here and happy I did food was excellent and plenty to choose from the menu. The potato chips were homemade and had a lovely texture to them. Well worth a visit.

Fish was smelly with a bad after taste and chips were OK for chips.. Wanted my money back after eating a mouth full of fish and staff refused to give me my money back for my fish, I said that I would pay for the chips as I eat half of them but the staff were rude and told me to get out!! Won't be using this place again

Tried to charge extra on top of the topping cost as I wanted to add one item to my order. Who owns the cafe and the one opposite (they are linked) and why are the standards so low. No hand washing when handling fresh and cooked meat also. AVOID!!

Best chicken kebab I’ve had. Cooked to perfection! And the staff are absolute gems too.

Ordered pizza and garlic bread for a group one evening and although the food was nice, it was a tad greasy but still enjoyed it. Satisfying food.

Typical greasy spoon - be aware they're cash only. Cardboard sausages, tinned tomatoes and a crispy fried egg make the breakfast distinctly average. Prices are cheap and the coffee is hot and wet so can't moan really.

GoldStar Cafe...wasn't sure from outside, menus and signs a bit OTT, so glad we ignored this and went in, place absolutely spotless, there was two of us and we both ordered large breakfast. Service was excellent and meals arrived very quickly and presentation was work of art, perfectly cooked, and very cheap with drinks included. I'm fussy but just couldn't fault other than its cash only. Will definitely use again if that way, Ideal diversion if you go to Banham Zoo, wish I lived nearer.

Excellent Fish N Chips, Went to 4 different Fish N Chip restaurants while in the UK in April and theirs was by far the best, and reasonable priced. Make sure you have cash as credit cards are not accepted.

Going for 30 minutes late. This is the third time it’s happened. Won’t purchase here anymore. Had to move my evening plans around because they basically forgot my order and didn’t start it until I rang them up.

Staff are extremely friendly and the food is really really nice - admittedly I only ever get chips (chip shop) and lamb or chicken shish but everything is cooked really well and tastes delicious.

We got a takeaway from here one Sunday evening when we were staying locally. The food was perfectly ok - nothing special, but nothing wrong with it. We didn't have to wait long, the service was polite. I'd rather have normal chips rather than fries with fish and chips, but the fries were well cooked.

Poor quality and quantity and rude staff making you feel uneasy. All food had a cheap look and taste. Only went because Norfolk kitchen was Being refurbished.

Great breakfast quick tasty good service.

We visited for breakfast on Bank holiday Monday. It was our first visit and we were very pleasantly surprised. The whole restaurant is immaculately clean, the menu is varied and the staff are very good. Both our friends and my husband and I were really surprised at the quality of the food and the good value. We will be happy to return.

Consistently good food and service. One star off as staff have habit of lighting up in the rear garden and the smell of fags can waft thru...I'm an ex smoker so a bit sensitive to it.

Me and my work mate were looking for a fry up, found this place on trip advisor despite the previous reviews we thought we would give it a try as this town doesn't have many breakfast places to offer, the boss was just opening up but as soon as we walked up he greeted us and got in the kitchen and started cooking straight away! We both had the 'big bertha' breakfast and it was huge packed with tasty mushrooms and really good quality English bacon, the service was just what you need from a place like this not all in your face just took our order and brought our food in no time.Would definitely come again! Also the the tea was nice!*****

Al informar sobre el teléfono que la pizza estaba quemada y mi pollo burger no tenía ensalada o salsa, sólo un servicio pechuga de pollo entre dos bollos manky. Nos dicen que esta es la forma en que el pollo burger está vendido y que la pizza no se quema! ! ! (Puede que se vea por teléfono? ! ?

I write this review with a very heavy heart. I have been eating in goldstar for years with no problem and i can slowly start to see a decline in the business, its customers service and quality control. I am giving this such a poor rating. After the service i received today following the discovery that my sausage was raw I called the owner! Over who tried to tell me at 28 years of age that it was fine. It was not. He was very rude and arrogant with pretty much 0 people skills. We also found an additional hair in the food and when trying to get a refund for the utterly poor quality all round we was told to f**k off amongst otherthings. Not quite what we was expecting especially after nearly spending 30quid on breakfasts. He also had the audacity to try and under pay for my refund by over charging me on my drinks! Absolutely disgusting. You would have thought that rather than arguing with the customer that they would just accept responsibility for the mistake and rectify it. The chump couldn't even apologise seeing no wrong in serving raw sausage. I will never be using the service again n there is plenty of other places in attleborough to go get a decent properly cooked breakfast. Disgusted beyond belief

eating in or take away the foods reasonably priced lots to choose from the staff are friendly and helpful delivery usually takes about half an hour order and pay online or when its delivered good for anyone wanting traditional fish and chips, kebab or a pizza

Este lugar es lo que es un poco 'greasey spoon cafe! Mi pareja y yo vengo aquí cada ahora y de nuevo por un gran guiso y siempre es genial! También hemos utilizado el servicio de entrega / llevar, que también es muy bueno. Hacen un precioso vegetal hamburguesa! La camarera es siempre muy amable. La única cosa que es un poco extraño es que no parecen tener un horario especificado, y normalmente no se abren hasta alrededor de las 10:00 p.m., que no creo que es lo suficientemente temprano, teniendo en cuenta que hacer el desayuno... No es un café pequeño y pintoresco donde damas ir para un Earl Grey y pastel, pero no dicen ser! Es más un kebab shop que funciona como una cafetería, y hace perfectamente bien!

ve just recently moved to Attleborough and tried this take away out as it is within walking distance of my new house. What a lovely place. Great staff, super friendly and excellent take out food. I've since used them with Just Eat to deliver. The service was extremely fast...half the time stated on the website. The menu choice is vast, with something to suit everyone. Highly recommended. My daughter, who lives 30 minutes away, now makes me tell her when I'm ordering from here, just so that she can drive over and join me...and she's a fussy eater, so that tells you how good the food is!

If you are going to died and this is the last place in the earth, you can get it. Otherwise pass on. Food is rubbish. People are unpolite. The place is dirty and we were not able to get the receipt as well. Forget it. Never never again. If you are not able to make this work, do something else.

As it was s quiet night decided to get a pizza from here for a change. The choice they have is as expected for a takeaway. They also have all the other usual fare. The pizza I had, a 9" chilli was nice enough. It was spicy as I was expecting. It was also around the price I thought it would be. I'd rate this place differently if I was to have a sit down meal here. It also seemed quiet for a Saturday evening.

Took my other half in here on 3 separate occasions. First time, i ordered an all-day breakfast and the chef threw the raw sausage into the fryer from a distance. It missed completely and landed behind the cooker, which he promptly dug out and threw into the fryer. Second time (thought we would try again) ordered big breakfast only to receive half of it with a plateful of disgusting chips. Third and final time, we were overcharged for something we never got and he erased to refund and pretended he couldn't speak English!! Do yourself a favour and *avoid*
