Star Kebab & Pizza in Hackney

Bought a platter around £45.Dry meet ,dead salad and couldn't believe instead of Turkish bread I been given 6 soggy pitta bread.Nsver going bk

Hi , Don't make a habit of leaving posts such as these, but tonight I ordered a pizza to takeaway. Started eating the pizza when I got in and found what was like fishing line in my mouth which to my disgust turned out to be a thick black hair which I had to pull out. Safe to say I threw the rest of the pizza in the bin 90% of it. Shame as it was alright from the bit I had. Need to tighten up on the hygiene , maybe wear hair nets or be more stringent with quality control going forward. Chris

Excellent kebab meat, we ordered the £55 deal box, it came beautifully prepared and fed 8 hungry big boys. Very friendly delivery man makes the food that much more enjoyable and right on-time!

the plain chicken on the pizza was instead donner chicken. it was grisly so i had to spit out 3 times within 3 slices- then i had to be cautious as i ate each slice. it was also drier than should be, (tuna and chicken.) Another member of the household decided they were not going ro eat it. we may have been put off pizza for a while! probably what happens when i leave it late to order.

Best service in the area, been going here 3yrs and always get the absolute best. Chatty servers who always make us feel welcome, and the food is everything you want from a late night takeaway. Lovely lads, 10/10.

1hr and 36 mins to deliver, chips were soggy and stone cold so was the lamb donner and burger, I normally stick to my usual Turkish for good reason as u can see what happens when u want to try something different, learnt my lesson never again will I order from this place

I had an absolutely horrendous experience at this kebab shop. I went in to buy a doner kebab, and when I requested one freshly cut, the chef outright refused. Another chef overheard and decided to make one on the spot. While waiting, the first chef started arguing about the quality of the kebab in the pot. When I inquired about the temperature of the pot, he lost his temper, screamed, and swore at me. Things escalated quickly when he stormed into the kitchen, screaming and swearing even louder. Eventually, other staff members had to intervene to calm him down. It was a terrifying situation, with a total of five people trying to manage the outburst. The chef's behavior was so erratic that he even attempted to start a fight with me when I tried to leave. I feared for my safety as he continued to swear and scream. Later, I was informed by other staff members that he has mental health issues. Despite the chaos, I decided to wait for my order to avoid causing further trouble. Although they offered a discount, I declined and paid the full amount. However, the stress and trauma from the incident lingered long after I left the shop. I strongly advise caution to anyone considering visiting this establishment, especially if the mentally unstable chef is still employed

Rumbaba was half dry...considering that it's literally a syrup sponge,that's saying something...kebab meat smelt off...paid for halep...got doner in a tray with a bit of chilli sauce...definitely not ordering from here again.

Kebab was delicious, my only issue was too much garlic sauce covering the kebab it would have been nice to come separately..

Döner portion was so small it’s as if they ran out of meat or couldn’t bother putting the meat into the bread

Donner Kebab was awful.Had that gritty meat , pale looking Donner.Was over 30 mins late . Had to call twice to be told it's on its way. 30 mins later it arrived , I live 5/10 mins away in a car so moped should of been here quicker, so when I called and they say it was on the way it had not even been prepared. First and last time ordering from here.

I got 2 meat and chips with my cousin and both of us got diarrhea the next day we didn't eat anything else before that so it has to be this, ordered from this place many times didn't have that problem but this time I did and I will definitely not order again I think we got food poisoned I am still in pain after 2 days

The food was ok. The chicken looked kind of weird though, was kind of grey looking. Not sure how I felt about it. The delivery guy also buzzed and claimed the gate wouldn’t open but I think he just couldn’t be bothered to come up lol

The food was delicious and the quantity was great. It would have been better ro have the sauce in a container so I could choose how much to put on. The food was great, definitely would order again, better than some of the competition out there.

Whatever seasoning you use to flavor it was slightly stronger today, and it was great, add more going forward.

On my mother life I just saw a rat in here and he still pressed me to order.
