People avoid this take away the food is really poor ie portion sizes quality, I ordered scampi which Tom has 10 of the most tiniest pieces of bread crumb only know scampi in them at all, and I also ordered a large cod and chips which was absolutely revolting. My brother-in-law ordered the same and the portion size of the fish was so small you couldn’t even consider it to be a small portion. Absolute rip-off. Avoid avoid avoid

Upon entering the store I was met with something terrible. As I went up to the counter I came across what can only be described as the young man working there to be “shuffling his pack”. Yes you heard me, he had his hands down his pants. To make matters worse, he proceeded to remove his hands and start serving chips without any form of sanitary procedures, I’m not quite sure how this is allowed but i for one am kerfuffled by this conundrum. This takes the meaning of cheesy chips to a new level 😬

Schlechter Fisch mit viel zu viel Panade, die zudem noch trocken war. Pommes waren eher matschig. Sehr hochpreisig, da kann man fast in ein Restaurant gehen.

Got a takeaway from here a couple of days ago; a portion of chips, fish burger & bit of cod was £17.40. We asked if we could have crispy chips & the young man said yes - the chips were tasty but weren't crispy. The bit of cod was very small - it's about 1/3 of the size from our usual chippy which is cheaper too. Everything was cooked ok (apart from the chips not being crispy), it tasted nice & the young man who served us was very polite & friendly. However we won't be eating from here again as it's very poor value for money; more expensive than most chippys yet with much, much smaller portions

Terrible fish and chips extremely over priced, for the smallest bits of over cooked fish you can imagine, terrible and rude staff, that refuse to deal with complaints, never again, I advise no 1 go hear unless you want to pay nearly 20 quid for 2 kids size portions of fish with chips. Discusting, will never visit again. Such a shame, used to be ok

Don’t often buy fish and chips but after a long day and walk along seafront wanted to try some. They were delicious, generous portion, freshly cooked. Fish on batter usually repeats on me but ate these and no upset tummy after. Excellent meal to eat sitting on seafront as sun went down.

The previous owners at Linden Fisheries produced fish and chips exactly as I like it and the value was excellent. Since they left I have tried just about everywhere else in Bognor and found either good chips and poor fish or reasonable fish and poor chips. Not realising the owners at Starfish were relatively new, I left this one til last and what a mistake that was. Fish portion is not huge but perfectly cooked and no skin and no bones (unlike five of the others I tried), chips are very good. Consistently good five times now, friendly service, I won't be going anywhere else now. If you liked the old Linden fisheries, this is your best alternative.

Amazing fish and chips, the best around bognor for sure. I used deliveroo and my order arrived in less than half an hour. It was hot and crispy. Very generous portion of chips and the cod was perfectly cooked. The fried chicken was deliciius. I am converted to this place now.

the food it really nice (would of liked to have a bit more) the chips were one of the best i have ever had the haddock was lush and the curry sauce was lovely over all i would recommend

Good Chips poor fisf not fresh frozen and full of fat not enjoyed at all the fish was the triangled shape type you buy in bulk not nice ,not what you expect at the sea side

Called in for some chips to go with already bought roast beef! Smallest portion was £2.40 of which I must have thrown away the £2 worth. Poor quality. I should have learned from a visit 2 weeks ago to buy 3 pensioner portions.(£5 per portion) Smallest fish I've seen, more like a fish finger however the chips on that occasion were reasonably edible. Better travelling further to Oceans. Better quality, bigger portions and cheaper prices!!

One of the best places in bognor. Great fish lovely chips. But the curry sauce was to hot for my taste Definitely recommend

Just popped in for fish and chips sat outside used the facilities absolutely spotless .[ I've ever seen the place is so tidy and when the food came out absolutely fantastic best fish and chips I've ever had honestly if there is any bad reviews I think there must be jealousy unless it was a very hot day and the boss wasn't here very nice chat

Just thrown away £13 of fish and chips from here. Medium cod like a fish finger size of “cod” smothered in grease soaked thick batter. Maybe we caught it on an off day as other reviews on here suggested we may have done. My advise steer well clear

It was great that we could sit in as it was lashing it down outside. Staff were super friendly and helpful, service excellent.

The only disappointing thing about our fish and chips was that it was too blimming windy to sit on the beach and eat them! Lovely clean fat the fish and chips were fried in, super crispy batter, the most meaty and fresh cod and crispy and fluffy chips and friendly service to boot....we had a saveloy each whilst we were waiting for the fish to fry, which is the norm for us...which on this occasion were also very nice as they had a gentle spicy kick to them....would most definitely recommend this place.
