Usually love the food from you, but tonight's delivery was awful. The bread roll was underbaked and soggy, the burger could have done with more cooking. All in all the burger and roll were unedible. Chips were lovely as usual though

The VERY BEST fish and chips I've ever had. Got to be the best in Bristol. juicy white flakes of cod and plenty of it. Fabulous chips too. Thankyou lovely Lady, we will be back janet from Wells xxx

Best Chips in Bristol, and staff are super friendly, and whilst not necessary to mention; very inclusive, I'm trans, they don't make me ever feel unwelcome, so I highly recommend travelling even a couple miles to get food here. Values great too, as is the quality

Used to really love this chip shop and especially the chips. Would often come just for chips alone as they used to be delicious! However lately the chips are just not the same especially on a tea time not long after opening, they are hard and dry. Not sure if the potatoes or oil has changed or if the chips are being carried over from lunch time. Also it has taken me quite some time to post this review as kept hoping they would improve again but have not. It's a shame as the service is usually very good and friendly. Especially the gent who works there, think he is the manager. Don't want to be mean but the fish and chips should always be top quality and given the price point at the moment feel I had to give the feedback. I hope they improve as this is my local and convenient. I like to support our local shops

Not sure why so many 5 stars. £10 for simple fish and chips. I will still prefer wetherspoons over it as it comes with a beer, peas and a place to sit. Chips were fine but I would much prefer to salt them myself.

Amazing food, it was quickly served eventhough there were customers the service was impeccable. There’s a nice view to eat as well nice river to relax and eat by. The drinks were perfect and cold very refreshing.

Had fish and chips from here Friday 6th May - delicious. Went back Friday 13th May chips were not fresh and fish was below par. I'm concerned about how consistent the quality is. Staff are friendly.

Brilliant chippy. Food is tasty and the manager/owner Hugo (or maybe Ugo?!) is an absolute legend. Very personable and friendly.

Dreadful place, staff are so miserable and the female that works there is so moody. The chips are vile, another dinner wasted and chip in the bin. They are rubber and reheated! I will not be going back there anymore. It’s really gone down in standards now and there is better places in the area.

Never a bad experience from here. Always generous portions, not greasy, and never tastes like it's lasts nights leftovers refried which a lot round here are like. Quick service as well! 9 orders altogether over past year and not one bad result

Lovely consistency to the quality, and you can't fault the portion sizes. If you have the option make sure to check out the lunch menu for some good value meals

Well very disappointing from the person that takes the orders to the order itself This is no way to take a order no interaction just one work response no please thank you probably better to talk to s robot The chicken wing was so over cooked I though it was going explode into dust looked grey was very dry Would I go again ? Not if it was the only chip shop on the planet

Good local chippie with arguably best chips in the area. Covid restrictions apply with counter divider and only two people allowed inside at any one time.

Since the lock down I have been going to this place if anyone wants kebab burger or fish and chips this is the place to go one of the best food and fresh the owner is so friendly and helpful and the staff are very friendly too give it a go its gert Lush

Kebab was a good size not over the tio like most places and also wasnt drupping in grease 👍🏻 large cheeses chips will feed a family of four no problem and are lovely . Cod bites were delicious !! Will be back !!

Real nice fish n chips good value for money friendly staff

Went and asked for a large fish lot and the girl didn't understand English got home and it was a snail cod lot. On ringing to complain was told by manager that they dont do large fish and the girl was new. Not good enough as then had to prepare more food which then I may aswell not gone out to buy fish and chips

The fish is very good but this is the third time I have had to take the chips back as u can see they have been warned time and time again

A different take on fish and chips, the fish I had was cooked in a very nice sauce, and not the normal greasy batter. Chips are chips I suppose, but for me the portion sizes are large to say the least. Very good value for money, I'll be back.

Yesterday we had cod & chips, a veggie burger & a grilled cod portion, they were all brilliant. The grilled cod was amazing!!

Ordered food here a fair few times, staff are fantastic and always happy, food always amazing quality, every time and the sizes are far more than fair for the price. Wouldn't go anywhere else to be honest. Highly recommend star fish bar to anyone.

would rather go out of my way and go to queens road. The staff were miserable and the quality and portion size was severely under what I am used to at star fish bar. what a shame :(

The portions were really small for the price and by far the worst star fish bar I have been to queen's road and bedmister are by far the best and I would rather go out of my way for the service and quality of the portions Then go to this place again.

Very disappointed. Offer of 20% off when you take your menu in. This was not taken off and when questioned was told tough. No offer of resolving only to be told "next time I go in"! To top off the service. My order was incorrect. I had to wait for it to be corrected. After finally getting home with what I thought was the family dinner. Two main items were missing. Don't think we will be using this chippy again.

So far I am very impressed with the food here, good sized portions of high quality chips (not soggy and a good mix of crispy and not). Very tasty fish in a reasonable portion,with nice crispy golden batter.
