Stayed for an overnight on the way back to Glasgow. The evening before we were told there were grilled sandwiches available all day. Returning for breakfast at 9.15am we were then told that only coffee was available. We purchased this £3 for a cold coffee from a flask with a disgusting spoon that had clearly been sitting for hours. When I asked for a clean one and commented I was told I could get my money back in a very aggressive manner. Knowing that there was nothing else in the area I felt very intimidated as I was with a group of females the man clearly had an issue. Then going for a shower to experience faeces up the walls on the main floor and toilets that couldn’t be used. I would not recommend!! The staff on the previous evening were great and having been many times before with other friends and family. This place has clearly been taken over and went right down hill!! If you want a relaxing break away AVOID !! Many other amazing places in the area that accommodate a lot better. Definitely not recommended for females only.

We recently had a 2 night stay in our camper van at Beinglas Campsite. We are at the Stagger Inn both nights and were not disappointed. Good platefuls of food and very tasty. Really recommend “the mother clucker”, the fish n chips and also the sausage and mash, all extremely tasty and really good portions. Top drawer!

As nice as the staff are they have absolutely no idea what's going on. I was charged 3 different prices for the same drink one night. Food was coming out to non existent customers. It's not hard to note down the correct table numbers, the patrons were finding this most amusing may I add! Bar staff cursing customers loudly as the customers didn't have English as their first language and were taking a while to make their mind up, this is normal. Plastic glasses in a pub is shoddy, two bar staff gave different reasons why they were in plastic glasses. They have a DJ and a Karaoke. Why? Folk don't come to the camp site for this rubbish. They will go to Butlins! Positives though are the location is good and the site has so much potential just train the staff in basic hospitality, it's really not hard. Oh and a big shout out to the fire pit/BBQ. That's a nice wee touch 👍

Can't belive it's open again. Had the lovely experience off having a taster before being officially open. Excellent campsite with great facilities. Right on the West Highland Way .area was busy, busy with lots of walkers passing through and stopping to rest and recover. The pitches are big and spacious but not too far from the facilities. Toilets, showers etc. very good. There is a shop on site with everything you need including freshly made rolls and tabacco on offer which was a life saver for me ,as well as a bar and restaurant. There is an indoor seating cooking area for those that want to cook with plenty crockery and utensils available as well as a huge fridge for storing fresh goods. The stagger Inn Bar was lovely and warm, spacious and full of little trinkets of history. All staff were friendly and informative. The food on offer was phenomenal, especially when I was on baked beans and noodles for two days 😋 Can't wait for next year's adventure.

Visited with my husband recently after receiving a hotel, spa and afternoon tea voucher for my 50th birthday. My husband suffers from a severe seafood/fish allergy and carries an epipen after being hospitalised in the past. This was explained to the staff who said that this "was a standard request and would not be an issue" After waiting over 30 minutes with no sign of our afternoon tea I asked a member of staff if there was any sign of our food and were told that our server that forgotten to order our afternoon and did we want to wait! I explained that we had received a gift voucher so we would have no choice but to wait. After another 15 minute wait our afternoon tea arrived. My husband who was starving by this point was just about to tuck into the savories when I detected a smell of fish. It transpired that there were 2 salmon tartlets which were also touching the sandwiches. I immediately removed them from the plate and took them to the server who confirmed that these were indeed salmon! What point of a seafood/fish allergy do they not get. I immediately asked to see the manager and he agreed that this was completely unacceptable. I did feel that some of the staff did not appreciate how serious this could have become if my husband had eaten one of these tartlets. We did not eat any of the afternoon tea after this as we simply could not take any chances. A refund was given but this definitely did put a dampner on what should have been a lovely birthday treat.

Good food, good prices, good service. My husband never gives 10/10 but they got it! Definitely worth a visit

Tasty and generous meals in a comfortable, traditional setting. Friendly staff and seemed to be well used by the local community.

It seemed promising from the outside but the food was just okay and the women working the pub/restaurant were not the friendliest. Neither was off putting but just not the warm and friendly vibe we had hoped for. I think this is a better place to watch a sporting event as evident later that night. Hardly anyone eating there but lots of people watching football. Here's the catch, there are really only two places to eat in town and if you did not have reservations at the hotel restaurant, then you basically are stuck here. If you have a choice, choose the hotel restaurant option.
