Stage Espresso & Brewbar in Leeds

These guys are the best coffee house in north of the city around the Universities, hospital and the Council. I go along every time I am in Leeds (live overseas).

Nice coffee and actually quite tasty food. Sadly the miserable counter staff (one ill-mannered female, one male) spoiled the experience. Looked like it was a big inconvenience having customers. And the atmosphere is as cold and sterile as the staff - lots of miserable laptop singletons furtively looking at anyone walking in. Not a welcoming place at all. Leeds is renowned for polite and friendly people - but not here.

The best coffee and light food anywhere. Really good coffee and fantastic open sandwiches- in particular the tomato and artichoke! But don’t miss the sweet corn fritters

Honestly the best coffee in Leeds! I’ve been minimum three times a week for the last two years and I’ve never ever had anything less than a perfect coffee and a lovely experience. You cannot do better for coffee round here (or anywhere else in Leeds in my humble opinion)

Not being local to Leeds, I was looking around for a nice place to have a coffee and a sweet treat! I came across Stage and was welcomed by 2 friendly chaps. Really chilled environment and music right down my street. I had a berry crumble and a coffee, couldn't fault the service and it all tasted amazing! Keep doing what you're doing lads, cracking job, proper top notch. Give it a visit! 👌😉

A great experience with excellent coffee and tasty cookies. The menu looked interesting and we hope to come back when next in the city. Thanks for making us so welcome even though it wasn't far from closing time - we never felt under pressure.

Lovely little coffee shop, serving a great range of breakfast, sandwiches and cakes. It is a shame when independent cafes are struggling to compete with high street cafes and two guys took up a table for four and spent an hour over 1 cup of coffee at lunch time. Great food and service.

The coffee was delicious and their specialty white chocolate hot chocolate was very very tasty. A small selection of snacks though.

I’ve been to a lot of coffee shops around Leeds and Stage is by far my favourite. The coffee is delicious and is definitely a highlight of my week. It is a really relaxed and unassuming atmosphere, whether you are sitting in or just stopping by for a coffee to go. The staff are really friendly and if you are lucky enough for their dog Copper to be there you will have the warmest of welcomes!

Located in a quiet corner in George Street in Leeds, Stage serves good coffee in a wonderful atmosphere. I recommend this coffee shop for those who want to escape the crowd.

I visited for the first time today and can genuinely say this cafe is one of a kind. It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere for working or relaxing, great food and drink, friendly staff and great decor. Not forgetting the wonderful addition of their dog, Copper, who absolutely made my visit - even if he did steal the milk from my tea! I will definitely be returning to Stage very soon!

Lots of places do good coffee but this place also has a great doggo which sets it apart from the rest! I'm not a coffee expert but it's delicious. Friendly staff and a good location, plus I get an NHS discount :)

Met with a friend before work to have breakfast. Superb place to have open at that time of day with good quality and delicious food. Price is great! Will be coming back again.

This is our go to brunch place when I travel to the North. The reason being it is a feed. This being a decent portion at a decent price. Yeah fettle down the road is fancier but this is good quality, really decently priced brunch....
