Such a friendly welcoming pub! Can't wait to hopefully revisit some time soon. Great drink choices too.

Food was brilliant especially the steak pie and salt & pepper chicken whxih weve had on a few occasions. Only let down for the place is the seats are quite uncomfortable, but doesn't put me off returning.

Great village pub run by Mark and Emma. Good range of drinks and always a guest hand pulled beer for the connoisseur. They have music nights, pub quiz, food events and a good beer garden. Good for a drink after a walk round the lovely village of Methley

Went with my husband, our two children, mother and father in law for lunch. Service was fantastic , nothing was too much trouble and Emma was brilliant with our children. The food was excellent and portions were huge. Great value for money. Will definitely be eating here again. Mark and Emma make you feel so welcome. Thanks so much!

Went on a Sunday to a casual double celebration for one of my wife's work mates leaving do and the boss welcoming her first grandchild. The weather was good so we took ourselves outside into their extremely well laid out beer garden. I drank the Wainwright Yorkshire Gold which was eminently quaffable. Each time served by staff who are good at what they do and don't keep you hanging about. The landlady even tipped us off about getting a hold of a pizza, so several of our party ordered. All in all we enjoyed a lovely evening with excellent company in a great little village pub. What's not to like.

Was lovely home cooked Sunday lunch, option of 2 meats , lovely sized portion , gravy nice and tasty , veg cooked nicely.

Mark and Emma are lovely people. Just had a video call from them checking up on the old folk which we thought was so nice in these difficult times. My local and can't fault it.Dog friendly.Horses welcome but not inside.Popular with walkers and cyclists as very close to the river and St Aidens nature reserve.Undiluted lagers etc.You get the proper stuff not like watered down drinks in the city.Outdoor seating and child friendly area at the back.Emma and Mark doing a lovely job in a village pub.
