Lovely setting, but poor food. The burger buns were past their best, very dry. The chips were huge chunky ones (that way you don't have to serve many). Our food was luke warm as was the coffee. All in all not a good experience for the cost.

Very disappointing food. Some "clever" catering guru has designed a menu of confusion. Only burgers are available in the sit down table service area but the beef one had the texture of being cooked the previous day (and was lukewarm at best), the chicken one just tasted of chilli/paprika and the vegan one just tasted of cumin. As we passed the 'takeaway' on the way out we saw a tray of pasties and wondered if we should have gone there but the menu told us they were cauliflower bhaji pasties. We do have adventurous tastes in general but this just doesn't work. With the food offers as they are, we cannot recommend this place despite the very pleasant ambience and the helpful staff (so sorry for them to have to serve this!) Can't even say it was value for money I'm afraid

Lovely location and good service but the flat white and cappuccino we had were awful. Both lacked coffee and had far too much milk in them. Shame as the setting was perfect.

Not the kind of food you would expect from a cafe in a stately home. Clever food with some very interesting ingredients and flavour combinations great quality food. One guy controlling order taking, and boy did he do a good job keeping the gues down. Not only is Waddesden a beautiful opulent house, the cafe did it justice as well. So we'll done guys a lovely day at the doodle and s lovely meal to boot

Very disappointed with the Stables Cafe lunchtime today. Only burgers available at the hatch but we were told we could get food from the takeaway and sit in the cafe to eat. In the takeaway the shelves were empty, no sandwiches in the chiller and empty shelves where the hot pasties and sausage rolls should be. We enquired if there were any more and 6 sandwich packs were taken from the fridge and put on the shelves. We were told that more pasties were being cooked but the chef had no idea when they would be cooked. Have never experienced this in a National Trust property before.

Very disorganised. Had 3 young lads who could not cope with the demand. Ended up getting girders mixed up. Waited 14mins for them to make one coffee and 4 got chocolates. Cooler was not hot . Not great when you have paid close to £20 for 6 drinks. Never again

We came here after doing the light display. There was a nice range of hot and cold food and a good selection of drinks. There's plenty of seating inside and out and the service was fairly quick.

Popped in today for a family lunch. First of all there are two places that do food in the courtyard. One for hot sit down meals and one for takeaway. Sadly the selection of sandwiches in the takeaway was very poor, they only had five left at just after 1pm. In the end we went to the hot sit down cafe. We had a very varied selection including (and not limited to) sausage and mash, rarebit, poached eggs and croquettes, scone and jam and millionaire shortbread. I have to say the service was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious and piping hot! The staff had lots of new starters but nothing lacking that we noticed, they were all smiling and had great attitudes. The hot chocolate was absolutely amazing (that came from a picky 21 year old) so must have been good. We will deffo come back! Thanks Waddeston.

Please change how this place appears on Google Maps! I hilariously got flagged down by panicked staff after riding down the road towards this cafe, not knowing that its “private”. While it looks like a normal Cafe on Google Maps, it’s turns out you first need to buy a ticket to assess the grounds of Waddeson Manor. Please update your description so people know this.

Open with distancing, so only one person or family group could enter at once which was well managed. Service was helpful. Menu was limited but good quality sandwiches for lunch and ice creams.

This is the informal restaurant on the Waddesdon Estate, during the Christmas festival, so it was busy, but we managed to get seats and the service was really good. Some really good food was served

We were actually outside the stable cafe in the courtyard, where the three unusual beverage vans were very welcoming. We had a great pancake with lemon and sugar from one and hot chocolate and a apple spice tea and coffee from another. Then later on in the grounds we stopped by the aviary where there was another van serving hot chocolate with a shot of bourbon or rum and various other coffee and tea at reasonable prices.

We had a coffee and an apple & cinnamon drink. Both were superb and it was lovely to sit by an open fire.

Have visited Waddesdon many times over the years and we've always accepted the Stables, like most NT cafes are a bit pricey. Today we felt particularly ripped off at the Stables - finding my £3.30 scone + jam came with no cream, I asked for some cream only to find after that an additional £3.21 was added apparently because this was now considered a cream tea. So with the scone, my wife's tiny chocolate brownie and the 2 teas (which arrived after we'd finished the cakes) the bill was £15.51 !! The place is run by very polite but green school kids who don't really understand customer service. Unfortunately we will be avoiding in the future.

Sat outdoor. The food was very good. I got fish finger burger and the banana cake. Both amazing. The price is also very reasonable. Strongly recommended. I will come again. Just one thing: don't come on bank holiday. Crowded making service super slow. The exhibition next to cafe -- Eliot Hodgkin -- was great too. So sad I couldn't stay longer as I was in rush to enter house.

Super quick as always. Really helpful, young lady prepared the table (we hadn’t booked)! The restaurant was busy and a table of four, we were lucky to get seated. We were checked on regularly and the food (three pizza and a burger along with sides) was great as always.
