Had a lovely afternoon tea for 7 of us for a baby shower celebration. Service was lovely and all staff were attentive and friendly. The afternoon tea was beautiful and you got so much, everyone had to take a box with cake home as they were too full. I'm gluten free which can often lead to a disappointing experience when eating out. My GF afternoon tea was prepared and served separately and was wonderful...everything tasted delicious and for once I didn't feel like I was missing out or like the awkward person in the party! Everyone left happy, full and content. Thank you!

Set within Ilkeston, close to Dale Abbey, Stable View is an absolute gem of a restaurant. My partner and I ordered breakfast with bloomer toast along with tea and we were absolutely delighted after such a lovely meal. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming too. If you've never been to Stable View, pop in - you won't be disappointed and we look forward to many, many more visits in the future!

Stable View is a lovely, clean and gorgeous place to go. The place feels classy but relaxed, my wife and I went to celebrate our Anniversary and the staff made us feel very special. All the food was tasty and we were checked in on to make sure we all right. The place was a little busy but not once did we feel rushed to 'eat and leave'

Went to stable view for a tumble soft play event they hold monthly. First time going somewhere like that with my 2 toddlers. The staff were amazing and so friendly when my 1 year old decided to keep running off into the kitchen when I wasn't quick enough, they were so understanding and kind it made the whole experience brilliant! The milkshakes and muffins were also amazing! Will definitely be making it a monthly visit ♡

I first came to stable view with a new mum group after my daughter was born and have brought so many friends and family here since. It’s a beautiful space with delicious food. Between the menu, cake selection and specials menu, there’s always loads to choose from. Probably the best thing from my point of view is how family friendly it is. It’s always been easy to come here with a baby (now toddler) in tow, which can’t be said for a lot of places. We’ve sometimes needed to wait for a table because we haven’t booked and it’s a popular place, but it’s honestly worth the wait.

This is the second time I've been to Stable View and I'll definitely be going back. A friend introduced me and today I went with my husband after a walk in Locko Park. Kind and welcoming staff and delicious cakes. So lovely today - sitting outside in the sunshine. Thank you

Nice place to walk too but unfortunately not very dog friendly, which is a shame, only allowed outside. Also found it a little noisy inside. Cake lovely but not that impressed with the coffee. Pretty average overall.

We usually enjoy our visits to stable view but today we were served by a waitress that was obviously having a bad day and was quite rude which was shame cause it’s a lovely place

First visit for us and we loved the vibrant vibes of this very popular coffee shop. We visited on a Saturday around 10.30 so it was very busy with people eating breakfast. A short wait to be seated but we were very impressed by the lovely friendly staff. It is table service which we like. We opted for cheese scones, latte and a flat white. The scones were served warm light and fluffy and proper Lurpak butter! Delicious and home made another plus. As we were short on time we didn’t choose a breakfast this time but judging on the quality of the breakfast being served around us we need to return again very soon. Good prices and a lovely setting off the beaten track. A must on a nice day to be able to sit outside and admire the view- too cold today sadly. Well worth a visit

WOW what an amazing breakfast me and my husband had here on Saturday 20th April, you could not fault it from presentation to taste!! It was the best I have ever had. The service was first class to with a shout out to Cathrine nothing was any trouble, service with a smile even though they were very busy it was well organised. Keep doing what you are doing!! Would highly recommend.

I live very close by and pass it whenever I go into my office but have never been in, until now! Had a meeting for breakfast and the place is lovely, good atmosphere, lovely staff, fabulous service and lovely food. We couldn't resist a cake afterwards, such good value. Would highly recommend. We decided to visit this lovely little cafe again for an all day breakfast but was disappointed to find out that was only at weekends. Instead we had a lovely cheese scone and a cuppa and inevitably will have to return at the weekend for the scrumptious breakfast. Keep up the good work!

This is a first class cafe, the food is excellent, I have been for breakfast, morning coffee and afternoon tea (not all on the same day) and it was lovely, the staff are super friendly and attentive. Good veggie food and the cakes are amazing. I would highly recommend, however it does get busy!!

Location is lovely, and the staff were friendly and efficient to. A busy place, all the tables were full by 10! Lots of choice on the drink front, and the cakes were lovely. I personally didn't rate the food, and found it very expensive. £37 for me and a 2 year old..? Maybe I'm just a tight so and so.. However judging by how busy it was people are happy to pay this:)

I’d organised a surprise 60th birthday afternoon tea for a friend for ten people at 1pm. Once the birthday girl arrived, we expected to be served. Although we were asked what drinks we wanted, it took ages for them to arrive and our food didn’t arrive until 1.45. I accept that catering for a large group is time consuming but you don’t expect to wait 45 minutes for food that should already have been ready prepared. The food, when it did arrive was excellent - it was delicious and there was a lot of it. When I went to settle the bill, the owners response to my complaint about having to wait so long was that they were busy. There was no apology at all.

This was our first visit to Stable View and it certainly will not be our last! We were able to get parked just outside and greeted by a friendly member of the team from behind the food counter. We only had to wait 10 minutes to be shown to a table, this was because they were very busy and no tables were free when we arrived. We used the waiting time to look at the fantastic selection of fresh cakes and hot drinks that they offer. Once we were seated we both decided to order the Barn breakfast, one latte and one white hot chocolate. The drinks arrived promptly to our table (its table service) and not long after the breakfasts were served. All of the items were fresh, tasty, hot and absolutely delicious. We cleared our plates! Thank you for a great first visit, we will be returning with our dog next time.

Another amazing visit at The Stable View. Booked a table for my friends birthday, they had gone the extra mile with. Happy Birthday reservation card and even got her a little cake and fountain candle. The service was fast even though it was super busy. Food tasted amazing as always and the staff are just lovely. Always enjoy my visit and would highly recommend everyone to attend. You will not be disappointed. Keep up the good work ladies! X

Absolutely awful experience , first of all for the price for the stable breakfast isn’t too crazy but when it comes out looking like roadkill it makes the £9.95 make them look silly , I had to drink so much water because it was so dry , such a shame because me and friends saw how pretty it was so we traveled 40 mins , such a waste , we ended up leaving so much food and went to the other nearest cafe instead was way nicer and the presentation was beautiful, I don’t mind payer the little extra when you can tell they put more time into it rather than slapping it on the plate like stable view did . Also we saw the video of them rudely talking about customers on Facebook , how embarrassing of them ! Don’t give them your hard earnt money, because clearly they don’t give a rats a$$ about their customers

A five star service as always - fab varied menu - we opted for for two stable view breakfasts which were served by a friendly accommodating waitress - food was super hot and plentiful. We did manage to sneak in a cake off the counter...

This is my go to fave spot for brunch . From my door it's a beauty of a 10k loop ➰ across a beautiful part of Derbyshire. The food is out of this world 🌎 and the staff are chatty friendly and warm. The sausages are my son's favourite meaty monsters.

A fantastic place to eat - staff are always friendly and professional and the food is homemade and tasty and you get a good size portion. You will not find a better Latte for miles. Definitely a top 10 place to visit- you will not be disappointed.

I absolutely love this place. My friend introduced me to stable view when we went on our dog walk, since then I have raved about. The food, the quality, location, staff are amazing and they are so friendly. Their afternoon tea is amazing and i can honestly say their GF section is unreal! Sometimes its hard to find places that do GF cakes/scones ect but Stable view have never failed to disappoint. When anyones ever asked me where they should go for, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or just for a brew i will also recommend Stable view Thanks for being great! ❤️
