Oakfield farm in Erewash

Had an excellent full English breakfast with additional black pudding. OMG! So tasty. The black pudding had a lovely spicy twist. Service was top notch too. A visit to the attached farm shop also proved worthwhile. Excellent too. I spoke to the owner and found that the BP is home made. We will be back! Thankyou.

Wonderful place to meet up with friends for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and cake. Very Covid safe, well organised and excellent quality produce. I am recommend the sausage and mash, delicious and the faggots. For a lighter lunch I can recommend the soup if the day, we had leek and potato and it was very good.

What a lovely little farm shop - great selection of fresh produce, meats and cheeses. The lamb and mint pie was so delicious! Lovely little cafe where you can watch the riding school have horse riding lessons as well!

The cafe at Oakfield Farm was very nice. I was served by a young woman who was friendly and professional. It turned out it was her first day working there. I sat outside it was a lovely morning, it wasn't long before it got busy with even cyclists passing through. It has a horse riding school on site which was being enjoyed by participants. Thank you.

First time at Oakfield farm today me,my daughter and cousin came out for coffee ,the staff was welcoming and helpful ,food was lovely .farm shop was great thank you for all your help we will be back ,has u r now on our days out for coffee.💕

What a lovely little find. We arrived after the kitchen had closed so there was only drinks & cake on offer. Its a working riding stables with a farn shop & cafe. The cake was really nice, sat in the restutant with a view onto the riding school paddock. Gorgous place. I will definetly revisit to try the food menu.

Love going here. The farm shop always has great quality products and new things to try. Lovely friendly people working here. Also has a really nice coffee shop/ cafe. Nice choice of foods/ meals but nothing much if you’re vegan. I have to be dairy free so vegan is the safest way for certain foods. Does have choice of milks though. There is also a riding school here which I book a lesson for my granddaughter when she is staying with me. She loves it and Manda is a great teacher. Definitely worth a visit and you will keep going back.

Really great place to be, tea great, had the steak sandwich and the side salad was really good, but unfortunately the steak was tough for a sandwich and the chips were cooked a bit too long and they tasted slightly acrid. I would go again but maybe have something else.

We had a lovely welcome from friendly staff. The restaurant was cosy and very pretty. Lovely solid wood tables that had seams of sparkly gold resin in. Very nice menu. Nothing 'fancy' just proper, well cooked, tasty plentiful food-delicious! Also an array of yummy cakes-if you have room after the main course or you could take one home. The attached farm shop and butchers sold excellent produce too. We'll definitely be returning.

15 of us attended for a colleagues 60th lunch. All thought the food was fair for the price and pleasant atmosphere. Considering we spent about £200 between us, we were amazed to be charged £10 when we asked for a small cake to be cut and it turned out that was for the use of a cake knife to cut the cake ourselves! We all thought that was mean.

Lovely place great atmosphere. Been couple times now and was bit disappointed with the food both times.should really have said something. Poached eggs hard and cold .bacon cold.went with friends who's meals were the same. Such a shame as Lovely place .sorry to give dull review.

Great Sunday Lunch celebrating Mothers Day : Roast Turkey cooked to perfection, a big fluffy Yorkshire Pudding and a great selection of seasonal vegetables , followed by Home Made Black Cherry Bakewell Tart and Ice cream accompanied with a nice bottle of Jack Rabbit wine and my favourite Flat White Coffee made by Katie a very talented Barista The service was 5star, a very friendly team I would highly recommend a visit to this little gem .

Called in for Sunday breakfast on spec. Initially was very happy with the choice, we loved the feel of the barn, accompanying a farm shop and the view out to the riding arena. The atmosphere was good, nice conversation and the warmth from the log fire. On asking for a table we were told it would be a bit of a wait for food. Coffee came quickly and it was reasonable quality for the price. The food however was a lot longer than a bit of wait, something like 40 minutes which struck us as unreasonable for breakfast. The pace of food coming out of the kitchen was painfully slow which it just shouldn’t be for breakfast. They definitely need to review process on how to speed up rather than obviously cooking everything order by order in a linear way, which is the only thing I could think was happening. When it arrived, presentation generally was poor, and the quality of the produce not as high as I would want from a farm shop. In particular the kids pancakes tasted shop purchased and toasted, especially poor given the wait. The bacon unnecessarily fatty. Portions on the under generous side. To be fair the front of house team did their best, consistently apologising and on a quieter day I can imagine it’s a lot better. Would have to return and see for myself before I could recommend the place to friends which is a shame given its aesthetic.

Lovely , it was my daughter's birthday and all she wanted was a good breakfast, and she got that, also popped in the farm shop and made a purchase too.

Love coming here, the staff are lovely although it is sometimes cold in the cafe. The Sunday roasts are very tasty, however I am yet to have a hot one. In fact this Sundays was barely warm so I’m not having another. I asked for a hot plate one week but it didn’t make the roast any hotter. Also my Mum’s plum and apple crumble was such a small portion for £6.95. Disappointing.

Went today for coffee and cake , arrived at about 13.45 pm and only a couple of tables free . The place was really cold, not warm and inviting, the log burner was not lit . The Victoria sponge and lemon and blueberry were ok but very dense cakes ,not light as a feather sponge cake . Coffee lovely as usual . Great table service as usual .We left after one drink and went down the road for another coffee as we knew it would be warmer there . Also felt unwanted when we left ,like they wanted to get us out and close early , very off putting.

Came here this morning for breakfast with my friend. Had been before, but it was pre-covid, so feels like a very, very long time ago! We both had hot drinks (latte was lovely) and I had the poached eggs on toast with bacon, which was so tasty. Staff were super friendly too. Will definitely return!

We made a booking & asked to make sure we arrived before 10.30. We arrived 10.20am & placed our order with the waitress at 10.30. We ordered Eggs Florentine & Eggs Benedict with a coffee & hot chocolate with our meals. Drinks came which we drank whilst waiting. We noticed people who came in after us on the other side of the room were served before us. 11am we asked the waitress if we had been forgotten. Waitress said "maybe 5 or 10mins" Just after 11.06 our meals came. Eggs Florentine was only just warm & yolks slightly hard. We did not want to say anything at this late stage. The place & surroundings are lovely, just disappointed with the service on Christmas Eve Morning

Called in for a hot drink today, very busy but they found us a table, had hot chocolate which was delicious and even got to watch a riding lesson, the staff were so friendly and helpful, loverly place

Was attended to and looked after throughout the whole meal, staff were very helpful and efficient, the meal was absolutely stunning. Highly recommend the Steal and ale pie, with the price also being very reasonable for the portion and taste. Atmosphere felt very homely and polite, the shop was an added bonus

Hidden gem! Went with family for Sunday lunch. Restaurant was lovely with a log fire which made it feel warm and welcoming. We had Sunday lunch menu & whilst the menu was minimal, there was a good selection to choose from. I had the Roast dinner - turkey and wasn’t disappointed! Everything was cooked to perfection, the sage and onion stuffing was amazing and all veg was lovely! Only down side is asking for extra gravy which is an additional 50p for a small jug which I understand may be down to costing, thought this was a non necessity charge. Will definitely recommend & return in the future!

Beautiful setting, excellent menu, service second to none. Staff are polite, friendly, and helpful. The Deli, Butchery department, Grocery department, and items various available for purchase are all excellent quality and value. Give Oakfield Farm a try, and you will not be disappointed.

Popped in for lunch on Sunday,but was very disappointed.We ordered the Sunday roast the meat was lovely,but we had to ask for a Yorkshire pudding,no taste in the gravy and the food was not warm.

We decided to take a trip to Oakfield Farm for two reasons, their fabulous farm shop, and to have breakfast in their lovely cafe We both had the full English breakfast, top quality ingredients, well cooked, very tasty and hot The service was excellent, super friendly and attentive staff Also had 2 very nice coffees Definitely recommend We also stocked up on some delicious deli items and a joint of lamb from the farm shop, great value and choice

Not sure how the restaurant food is as it closed at 3pm Saturdays didnt get to try it but wow what a beautiful butchery, delicatessen and shop it looks a bit drab from the road and you would never know it's there.. but pull over park up and go see it's like a hidden gem looks as good as Harrods inside.. I've lived locally all my life and this was the first time I've visited.... all that lost time ....

Brilliant farm shop staff friendly and helpful fram cafe great food menu and friendly grils, nice to have some food and drink watching the horse's in the paddock can take the dogs and sit outside 10/10 highly recommended.

Visited for the recent cider and sausage festival. Lots of home made of both, friendly staff and a great band.

Lovely place, didn't realise it was there as not really from the area. Drove past twice in one day and decided to stop for lunch on the way home. We really enjoyed it, the food was great.

Lovely food had the quiche with a beautiful salad and homemade chips Quality food yes you do have to wait for it but least you know it’s homemade and worth it and not reheated! Amazing farm shop next door butchers so helpful I will be back.

35 minute wait for breakfast while all other diners had their food. When it finally did it get served, burnt toast and over cooked sausage. Lots of excuses and poor service. Never coming back here

What an amazing example of diversity, Oakfield farm has something for everyone, Now this place by no means is a secret to those near and far. With it's fabulous farm shop selling everything quality, to the cafe that serves exemplary coffee cakes and food, If you like live music and a drink your catered for with regular events featuring class bands and if you fancy learning to ride, their equine centre is a must, See it to appreciate how this family run business has evolved is truly inspirational, an easy 10/10

Lovely food, served in reasonable portions at decent prices. Service was very good, and it was nice to have a poke around the farm shop after eating. I can definitely recommend the Sticky Toffee Pudding!

Have walked to the farm today for Sunday lunch with my family. Only to be told there is only cake and coffees as food stops at 2.30 on a Sunday. When I asked why it doesn't say anything on the website about this, I was told that's that's the way it is . We are staying in the area for a few days, and my family was looking forward to a Sunday lunch at a reasonable time . Please update your website regarding hot food times

I went to this tearoom with high hopes after a recommendation however my meal was met with disappointment. I had pie, chips and peas and the chips were abysmal - small and overcooked. I mentioned to waitress and was met with some feeble excuse about kitchen equipment today. It’s the first and last visit to this place unfortunately.
