Good location, but overpriced for what you get. Service was ok and as expected for the price. We were moved on despite there clearly being lots of space for other customers. But told there was a time limit on staying... Even when buying food etc.

We stayed here before we caught the Eurostar to Paris, whilst the architecture & the bar area are nothing short of amazing, we found our room ridiculously bland & colourless , and at £349 without breakfast for a 15hour stay stupidly expensive, yes it’s London, & really handy but too expensive, so with sadness we won’t be staying there again, on a minor note the hotel took a £100 damage waiver, which took all of ten seconds to leave our account & after 15 days has yet to be refunded (we didn’t damage anything)

It was an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, Laura at the front desk greeted us with such warmth and professionalism. Our dinner at Booking Office 1869 was exceptional. Artemis made us feel truly valued as guests and Rossario’s exceptional hospitality set the tone for a delightful evening. Special mention must go to Chef Jordan, whose fish dish was simply exquisite. The hotel's seamless blend of historic charm and modern luxury, coupled with such dedicated staff, made our stay truly memorable. We look forward to returning soon.

I've been coming to this hotel for a few years now and it never disappoints! My last visit was Christmas 2024. The hotel was very nicely decorated for the season and we had one of the newly refurbished rooms which was very nice too! Laura, who was based in the club lounge, was always very accommodating, friendly, and always went the extra mile in making sure our stay was special. It was my mum's birthday, I had mentioned this to Laura and she organised a surprise of champagne and cake in the room the following day. So thank you, Laura, for helping to make our stay even more special/memorable - employees like this are invaluable to hotels!

This hotel is located inside St. Pancras Station, which appears in the movie ``Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.'' (Incidentally, platform 9 and 3/4 is located at King's Cross Station, which is located next door and is about a 5-minute walk away.) As this is a Marriott-affiliated Renaissance hotel, suite guests and Marriott Bonvoy Platinum elites and above have access to an executive lounge called The Chambers Club. The velvet cake and scones (I forgot to take a photo) that I had during afternoon tea in the lounge were delicious and a pleasant surprise. Also, Mr. Ozge was very kind to me during that time, and I was able to spend my stay very comfortably. thank you very much. Due to the nature of the building, you can't expect much of a view, but I highly recommend it for people getting on and off the Eurostar or for Marriott Platinum or higher. Oh, I want to eat that moist velvet cake again and the most delicious scones in London!

My family and I came from the US to visit. We came in to check the place out, BEFORE booking our rooms. Imagine the blessing of hearing a lady singing a BEAUTIFUL Aria by Handel, along with an incredibly skilled piano player. We were so happy to be there, and loved that they had this rare wonderful classical duo. We were enthralled, to say the least. However, all of this was interrupted by a group of RUDE, RACIST, POWERTRIPPING, DISGUSTING, BULLYING, “Managers & Security”. We proceeded to hear Lauren (not a manager, but plays one on tv) tell the piano player that the piano was a historic instrument, and could not be played. It’s a new electronic piano, that is NOT historic. The other middle eastern man, physically shut the piano lid on the players hands. A minute or so later, Lauren then says it’s $1000 pounds a minute, by reservation only. Can you say “CONTRADICTION”? We have never witnessed such unprofessional and disgusting behavior. We travel all around the world, never have we witnessed what we saw there. Needless to say, we didn’t book a stay, nor will we ever. We stay in 5 star establishments regularly, this is the first time to ever witness such abhorrent behavior. Y’all should be ashamed!

Butter chicken starter was overcooked and had too much coating for very little chicken. Main course of sea trout very tasty. Service good but wine pouring at the table was terrible. First pouring of wine around our party of 5 was equal. Second pouring, waitress gave the first 3 full top ups, 4th got a little and by the time it came to the last person, none left. Really not very good.

A beautiful building in a central location and perfect for traveling by Eurostar. Be sure to book a room with access to the Chambers Club, the breakfast there is really good and you can get drinks at any time throughout the day at no extra charge, as well as small evening snacks and Aternoon Tea. Would I book there again? Rather no, there are the following reasons - We encountered mice on the 1st floor and in the Chambers Club (the appropriate bait is available - maybe that will help) - Our room card only worked for a few hours, then the door between the elevator and the hallway was blocked for us and we had to go to reception every day - on the last evening we had a "threatening letter" in our room, saying that we had already used extras for over 500 GBP and that 200 GBP would be debited from our credit card for the next two nights; If we don't want any problems when checking out, we should come to the reception immediately (almost sad, at the reception they were completely irritated and just said "they didn't have any extras, I don't understand that".....)

Incredibly rude, brusque service; really gone downhill (my friends commented, like a Premier Inn lounge, though that does a disservice to the Premier Inn). Tried to get a table in the lobby lounge. “45 minute wait if you’re not eating!” (it was 5.30pm & there were plenty tables). Shunted off to the ticket office bar. No obvious hostess system - it’s just a bar after all - so sat at a high stool table in the bar area. After about 20 minutes (no drinks service in all that time) a hostess came bustling over & literarily growled “how many people?” (Like she couldn’t count), promptly followed by telling us we had to leave as said we weren’t eating. Tried to direct us back to the lobby lounge; when I said we were told 45 mins wait there and to go to the bar, she was unrepentant and said we had to move. Quite cross by now at her attitude, I said I wouldn’t move until we had a table to move to (I was trying to conduct a business meeting), She then suggested a cafe next door on St Pancras concourse! I said no. She then flounced off, seemingly to find us seats but never returned. A few minutes later a lovely man came over snd asked if he could find us seats. Then transpired there were ample. £40 for two drinks after being treated like an inconvenience? I won’t be rushing back.

A truly breathtaking location. The building is one of the finest I have stayed at ever. After a previous stay I would have put it on my "must see" hotels around the world. It's convenient to my meetings in the area, and so easy to get to from Heathrow. This stay was unusually expensive, but I had enjoyed the spectacle of the building so much on a prior stay I thought it was worth the charge. Upon my return home I came up in welts on one arm and one side of my head. The hotel have (after 3 weeks) confirmed the presence of bed bugs. I understand that this is something that happens, the train to the continent stops beside this hotel. It's a big, international, interconnected city. Here's what was avoidable: Taking days to acknowledge my complaint, with further guests exposed to the bedbugs through this period, not contacting me when we have agreed (multiple times). Taking 3 weeks to acknowledge the bed bugs. Commiting to make restitution and not following through. The marks on my arm are still visable. This is a risk as a frequent traveler (though you would hope less of a risk at such an expensive hotel?) The complaint handling should have been a chance to shine. When I get them on the phone the apologies are profuse. Never any follow up. Not a customer centric culture.

The hotel is gorgeous. This is an amazing building. Our room was nicely appointed. I had a couple of issues. The breakfast service was g-l-a-c-i-a-l. When I am on vacation, I don't want to sit around waiting for my food. The point of having breakfast in the hotel is to eat and then get out to see London. We had to wait and wait. It made no sense as the restaurant was not crowded. They just seemed to take their sweet time. I also had an issue with the doorman. I was carrying a DSLR camera - not taking pictures. The guy approached me and says that I can't take pictures inside with a "professional" camera. First of all, I was not taking pictures. Furthermore, really? I cannot take pictures of the lobby of a hotel where I am spending hundreds of dollars to stay? Quite ridiculous. Other than these issues, the hotel was okay. The location is so-so. Long train ride to where the action is. Update: My spouse complained about the service. They took two beers and a bottle of water off our bill. Interesting choice since we complained about the breakfast and not the drinks. It makes it seem like they are not taking our complaint seriously, as if the only reason we are complaining is to get a discount.

A Truly Memorable Staycation at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel My recent staycation at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel London was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped into the iconic building, I was transported into a world where history meets luxury. I had the pleasure of staying in the St George Gilbert Scott Suite, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The suite itself was a perfect blend of historic charm and modern amenities including the separate living/dining room. The high ceilings, intricate detailing, and grand windows overlooking the bustling streets of London made the space feel both grand and intimate. The attention to detail in the suite’s decor truly pays homage to the rich history of the building, while the modern comforts ensured a relaxing and luxurious stay. One of the highlights of the hotel is the iconic stairway, which is nothing short of magical. Walking down the staircase felt like stepping into a different era—each step is steeped in history and elegance. It’s no wonder this staircase has been the backdrop for so many iconic photographs and films. I spent a good amount of time just admiring the stunning craftsmanship and taking in the atmosphere. The service throughout my stay was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. From the warm welcome at check-in to the personalised touches in the suite, every detail was thoughtfully curated. Dining at Booking Office, the hotel’s restaurant, was a delightful experience as well. The menu offered a great selection of British classics, including Sunday Roast and the ambiance perfectly complemented the historic setting of the hotel. In conclusion, my stay at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel was a truly memorable experience. The St George Gilbert Scott Suite and the magical stairway are just a few of the highlights that make this hotel stand out. Hotel itself is nice but severely understaffed to the point of affecting ability to serve clientele. As a platinum elite member I was asked to wait 3 hours for a room, even after check-in time. I assume this is because of housekeeping issues. As many times as I asked for help, no one would assist me with this issue. Front desk staff just kept disappearing to avoid customers. That didn't stop them, however, from approaching my child and asking her essentially to vacate the lobby because it looked bad to have people sitting around waiting. She had to sit on the floor because there was no where else to sit due to the number of waiting people. The room refrigerator didn't work. There are no bathroom ventilation fans. The bathroom doors kept closing by themselves. Carpets were dirty. Kitchen was open to the hallway leading to the elevators, creating a lot of noise, heat and bad smell. The guest wi-fi didn't work and after several hours of trying to figure it out, only then did the staff give us the appropriate network. The key card machine was also broken, so when my key failed to work I had to wait a significant time for a new one to be made. All in all, a disappointing stay.

I stayed here with family for 2 nights during a multi-city trip to Europe, and we loved it for the most part. It's historic but beautifully renovated, and the public spaces of the hotel are just stunning. We had a wonderful meal in the Booking Office restaurant, and staff were lovely. It's also in a fantastic location for transit, being part of St. Pancras Station. The rooms aren't quite as nice as the public spaces - just typical business hotel-type rooms, but they were spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Watch out for the bathrooms: they've been set up with extremely high-sided tub/shower combos that have no curtain or full wall, so it's very difficult to take a shower without soaking the entire bathroom, which becomes a pretty serious slip hazard. It's also difficult to get into and out of the tub safely - my sister and I are on the short side and both ended up with huge bruises on the back of our legs where we scraped them against the sharp-edged tub top while trying to climb out.

They really could not have done more for us. A birthday stay in the Grand Junior Suite on the Chambers side, always recommend staying in the Chambers as it is the main old building and the rooms are nicer. A birthday platter, fresh fruit bowl, a bed full of balloons, my mother was so surprised by their kind gesture. We had a great time exploring the vast halls and famous staircases, having a drink in the chambers bar. Everywhere was quiet and comfortable.

I stayed 4 nights for business in April and wondered many a time how this hotel managed to get a 5 star classification. To start with pros, the room was great: It was spacious and clean, and very quiet at night so I had good nights' sleep (I specifically asked for a quiet room). And it's conveniently located next to King's cross. The service and maintenance was very lacking, however. I got there after a long sleepless 10+ hr flight at 1:30 PM, and they turned me away to come back at 3 PM. Which is understandable given the policy, but most other hotels would have let you check in. The kick was, when I came back at 3, they had me wait for another ~40 min because the room wasn't ready. It sucked even more because there wasn't much room to wait comfortably at the lobby because 99% of the space was occupied by restaurants. There was literally 1 really uncomfortable sofa to sit in, if you're not a restaurant guest. The female staff who was supposed to check me in mysteriously disappeared after I was waiting for ~20 min, but the staff who took over was very courteous. The housekeeping wasn't thorough. They didn't do a good job cleaning the bathtub and somehow decided to skip the complimentary biscuits for the last 2 days. When I asked for a yoga mat, the room service rudely answered "Ooh, I don't think we have any available in the building'. When I asked whether they can check, they said they'd check and deliver it to me if there was any. To a surprise to no one, no yoga mat was ever delivered to my room. The TV was non-operational for the half of the stay because of wi-fi issues, and the staff wasn't apologetic about it either. The lifts and the lobby corridor smelt like rubbish bins, and there are no separate lifts for contractors or staff. Overall, the room and the location was great, but there are many better 5 star hotels in London than this.

Awful experience - The wifi does not work. Not acceptable for a hotel room at that price (420 pounds) when you are on a business trip. - The television does not work - The staff is completely impersonnel. The clients are not human beings but credit cards

Went for a Dine & Unwind at their spa and restaurant with my Girlfriend. The staff at spa reception were hopeless(weren’t even expecting us following our booking), the spa itself has a tepid pool and a single busy steam room, saunas are not mixed so it was an incredibly limited experience. They tried to present us with a set menu (either fish or chicken). The whole evening was totally forgettable for £200. Just dine out somewhere nice or splash cash on a nice spa. This was worst of both worlds.

The St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London is not just known for its luxurious accommodation and stunning Victorian architecture but also for its cinematic fame, notably appearing in the Harry Potter film series. This iconic hotel, adjacent to St. Pancras Station, provided a magical backdrop, particularly in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," where the enchanting exterior and its platforms were used to depict scenes involving the Hogwarts Express. The hotel's striking facade and historical significance make it a point of interest not only for guests but also for Harry Potter fans looking to capture a piece of the magic.

The moment you enter the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, you're transported to an era of Victorian grandeur. The Gothic Revival architecture is simply breathtaking, from the grand staircase to the soaring ceilings. Our room was impeccably appointed, blending historical charm with modern luxuries. The staff went above and beyond, making us feel like royalty. Whether you're sipping tea in the lounge or enjoying a delicious meal at one of the restaurants, St. Pancras is an unforgettable London experience.

It seems the hotel may not fully grasp the extent of inconvenience caused by the lack of WiFi to someone visiting London on business for a week. The experience was profoundly unsatisfactory, and the nonchalant response from the staff was astonishing. Moreover, the maintenance of the hotel, excluding the lobby, restaurants, and public areas, particularly the rooms and corridors, left much to be desired. Upon my arrival on Monday, an unsightly wall greeted everyone staying on the 3rd floor right off the elevator, an issue that remained unaddressed until I mentioned it to the front desk on Thursday; it is still unaddressed. EVERYONE was displeased with this experience and the entire experience still has me baffled. It should have been communicated when we arrived since it was a knows issues, but it was not as I assume management would rather have $18,245.68 for my party's 38 nights on the books vs. having satisfied customers which are left scarred from this Marriott experience. It's bewildering that at one of Marriott's top-tier properties, the staff fails to report such issues that one would expect at a lesser establishment, like a Holiday Inn in Hackney. This experience has been exceedingly displeasing, to the point where I am writing this review.

After several disappointing Marriott experiences in a row this amazing hotel reminded me why I’m loyal to Bonvoy. The staff were so friendly and the lobby is gorgeous. We don’t pay for suites when travelling Europe since we spend such little time in the room so this was the largest bed, bathroom, and hotel room we ever stayed in in Europe. The bathroom and shower were amazing. My wife loved the sparkling water dispenser in the hallway outside our room.

The service staff are great, all of them have been really gracious and kind, especially those at the front desk and Booking Office. However, the infrastructure is extremely poor. I got stuck in the lift during my stay, and i was stuck for more than an hour. There was no emergency contact in the lift and i was stuck alone. The lift had a bell for emergencies, and i pressed it so that it rang for quite some time. No one came to help though. No one came through the telecom as well. Perhaps it would be useful to put an emergency contact to the front desk in the lift if they dont intend for the bell to be used. In the end, another hotel guest heard the ring and went to contact a hotel staff. Nevertheless, it took some time to find servicemen. While the servicemen were working on the lift to get it open, there was no update whatsoever, it was extremely anxiety inducing. Also, the lift jerked and dropped a little before it could get open. There was no warning, which was even more distressing. I really wanted to like my stay here. Honestly, the building is beautiful and the staff are great. Even down to the cleaning staff, they were so so nice. But i guess their good service cant make up for the shortfall of how poorly maintained the place is. Update: the staff told me that a manager would get back to me about this incident. I waited another 3 hrs and there was nothing. Then i headed down and the manager had just arrived. The manager (his name was Manuel) was really unempathetic. He said he had just arrived and the lift is working fine with no complaints from other guests. It was really unpleasant to have such a traumatic experience dismissed like that. There was no attempt on his end to understand what happened or how it felt. I’ve seen other reviews saying the service was bad, i guess i understand why now.

We stayed here for a quick weekend trip from Paris. This is an iconic hotel located right in St Pancras station. The interior architecture of this hotel is amazing. As Platinum Elite Bonvoy members we had access to the Chambers Club which was a nice perk. They had afternoon tea and in the evening very substantial food as well as breakfast. Complimentary wine, alcohol and beer after 5. The location is very convenient with easy access to the kings cross station. Highly recommended!

DON'T STAY HERE! My family and I were treated like garbage at St. Pancras Renaissance and I stayed here more than 3 times in 6 months! I spent at every area in this hotel. But if you're not their kind of "people" .... expect to be ignored, rude and condescending behavior. I have correspondence from the hotel to prove it. I wanted to write a thorough review but became angry every time I sat down to write it. But I want this to be helpful so I'll just keep it to a few points. I am a loyalty program Marriott traveler and I travel at the top level. This is important because: - Hotel is run down and they don't care - AC erupted in our room, water coming down - They do not treat with respect or manners unless you “look” a certain way - Anyone can enter hotel as it’s connected to the trains, makes it dangerous - Food seems to be less than fresh (rumors is that they reuse breakfast items on their buffet that they sell the day before) - Terrible food with poor cuts of meat - I spent money on all levels at this hotel but they continue to put airs - I have talked to Marriott and the hotel on deaf ears I have a lot of email correspondence to back up what I'm staying. I offered to talk to them while in London about problems but they refused. Camel that broke the straws back was when I asked for a cab. Blond security personnel in front of the hotel (name is Gosha) snapped at me (contemplating uploading her picture) When I went inside to complain, she had a male security guard tail us. Unbelievable! Spend money at a hotel that appreciates your hard earned money. Worst experience ever.

I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member. Approaching midnight several weeks ago I was caught at St Pancras Station with no tube available to London Heathrow from which my flight was scheduled to leave early the following morning. I showed the front desk clerk my Bonvoy card & my US Passport. I also offered other forms of ID and asked if I might be permitted to purchase coffee as I waited for the metro to begin in the morning. I was wearing a business suit and was super-polite. He matter of factly offered me accommodation for the walk up rate of something over 300 pounds and said that, after paying it, I would still be welcome to sit up all night in the lobby. Whether he was being sarcastic or simply obtuse I have no idea. I left And sat all night At the st. pancreas International Station. With the door of the station open in february, it was Very cold, a bit dangerous and generally quite unpleasant. Still, I was able to catch the subway in the morning and my flight home to the United states. No. I wasn't about to spend 60+ pounds per hour for accommodation. And no, the front desk clerk was not required to let me sit for a few hours in the lobby. But then, I'm permitted to give the hotel a two-star review. In my opinion, they earned it. Anyone could have been caught in that situation. In any case, let me at least thank the hotel for getting me that much closer to 500 reviews. But here's a Question: am I being sarcastic or obtuse?

The best thing about this hotel is the history and location. Beyond that, it isn't worth the time or the pricepoint. The rooms are antiquated in terms of modern standards and small. The staff at the desk and doors can be a bit judgemental and in my opinion make assumptions of guests before knowing whom they maybe. However, the executive club is nice and that staff is quite pleasant and most accommodating. The room itself...stayed in a disability access room. The emergency pull cord over the bed was cut and could not be used by a guest in an emergency, the corner of the rooms molding is cracked and showing signs of being unkept. The emergency pull cord in the bathroom was knotted up also making it unlikely to be of use in an emergency. The pitch of the floor was poorly graded causing the bathroom to almost flood when the shower is in use. In my opinion this hotel is living on its reputation of yesteryear and isn't worthy of the pricepoint they command. Perhaps the message is that disabled persons are not as valued as others. Who knows....
