Had pizzas delivered from here couple of times, are v good takeaway type pizzas

was really happy that I ordered from here, the food was really tasty, very filling and I was completely satisfied, will order again, also the driver was very friendly, I'm really happy with the customer service I received, highly recommend 🥰

I've got to say my husband loves your pizza's as for me well I'd like to able to give you positive feedback but unfortunately I can't since when does bbq mean spicy????? I chose bbq ribs because I have to be very careful as I'm allergic to spices. I found the heat (from the spice) caused me horrible pain.

Ate the food and I got diareia have been on the toilet for 3 days now i am disgusted by the food.

First time ordering here as our usual was closed at that time.. whether it was near end of night the chips was well over cooked like they had been reheated or something didn’t taste nice at all couldn’t eat, the kebabs was same burnt in parts and dry. Most of it went to the bin 😢 shame wasted £30+

The food was great the garlic bread was delicious very happy with my food.

We ordered a Donner pizza but could have been a margarita… there wasn’t much Donner meat on the pizza or toppings for that matter.

Need to update the website. Says open every day but isnt, it also lists delivery locations that looking at previous reviews it seems they no longer deliver to. Have had the 20" pizzas before and they are impressive for a party so had planned to get some this evening. Sent round the website for everyone to pick... It wasnt until a friend looked them up on a delivery service app and found it said closed until Tuesday. Luck we made a back up plan for if St. John didnt open at 4 today like the site said. Will remember for future and try again.

Food always lovely and fresh definitely would recommend

Ordered a chicken kebab, donner kebab and cheesey garlic bread. All really nice. Good size portions. Salad fresh. Best garlic bread I've had. Would recommend to anyone.

Ordered for 5 people. At the end there was 5 meals left over to go in the bin. We had Pizza, Parmo, chicken wings and everything was disgusting. I would never order again or recommend here.

Amazing. As silly as this may sound, but tonight I received Mexican Chicken Pizza. It wasn't rammed with toppings or added extra spices. It wasn't dripping with fat or greese and it wasn't a pizza that was trying to "be something special". It was purely a really nice pizza full of flavour. The chicken wings were standard average. Certainly nothing bad to say. This place may just be our next place to go for pizzas. When a pizza tastes better than it looks you know it's a good one.

Worste takeaway I've ever had. Chicken was burnt and went straight in the bin and they forgot my chill and garlic sauce, and the salad. Not nice eating a kebab plain.

Onion rings were burnt kebab was more like a chip fat fryer with the amount of grease so much so the pitta was soaked and there was still a pool at the bottom asked for garlic yoghurt got garlic mayo used to order from here often but not anymore

Food was very poor, chewy lamb in the kebab! The southern fried chicken was awful. We Won’t be ordering from here ever again!

Usually the food from here is of good quality, but tonight was a bit of a letdown! The donner meat was hard, dry and chewy. They also didn't give us any sauce, even though this was requested. The chicken wings were also below average - They were overbattered and cold. A bit disappointing after having had good meals from here previously!

Very, very good greasy double cheesy pizza, good early delivery for it being around Clifton area, so literally the pizza was not cut right, that’s the only issue I have with it, the way the pizza flavour just folds into your mouth, it’s world class tbf, also good prices as well

Edit: In response to the absolute lie the owner of this takeaway has posted in response it definitely was St John's Takeaway as I still have the order receipt on my phone. I also do not drink. Apparently as well as running the worst takeaway ever and having abhorrent customer service the owner is also a liar and a coward who is incapable of accepting legitimate criticism of the way runs his business. He is also obviously incredibly stupid if he cannot figure out that the reason he cannot find my name on his order history is because that's not the name the order was made under. What a pathetic little man he is.

Tried there onion burger very tasty with chips and found them really scrumptious and filling would buy again like to try pizza next time

Wrong pizza wouldn’t change as taken bite out of one slice.

The food was cold. The pizza was undercooked and doughy. The donner meat was overcooked, left overs.

Food wasn’t delivered. No call or text from delivery driver or restaurant followed by them not answering the phone when i rang to find out where my order was

Food came in good time, but the food itself was unedible. Chicken was dry and chewy, although the bottom of the box looked like the nasty grease from about 10 years ago the doner meat was also chewy. The salad what came with the doner meat was atleast fresh and was the nicest thing I ate from my order

We used to like going there, food was good, delivery was quick. Ordered last week with no issues. Apparently they don’t deliver to Acomb and haven’t for 3 years so who knows where we were getting our food from. The magic delivery fairy maybe. Unreliable. Won’t be using them again.

Got it from here a few times now. Delivery people are polite and the food is nice.

Had high hopes. Ordered a collection and the food was out pretty quickly and piping hot. I have only 2 issues with the order. First of all I got the wrong pizza given to me. I ordered a chicken and sweetcorn pizza and instead I got chicken and mushroom. I'm allergic to mushrooms which means that was 11 quid down the drain :((( really disappointed. Secondly my kebab did not come with any sauce despite being advertised so it was a little dry. Please double check the orders you are giving to customers :/ however on the plus side the food was really good and I'm sure if I could eat mushrooms the pizza would be delicious too

WOW what a find, lived in york all our lives and never found a takeaway place that has it all until now. Pizza was amazing, sauces spot on, fresh chips. We will definitely be ordering again.

Always great food and warm, tonight’s order was 30 minutes early! Not an issue just popped in the oven as we were in the middle of bathing our little boy.

Garlic bread with cheese was lovely but the chips not so much, dry and had lots of bad bits on them

Kebab meat looked like it was days old, wouldn’t let me add salad or sauce at checkout so had to order extra

So greasy it put me off my food, the only good part was the canned drinks

I don’t know what you have done but tonight’s food was amazing, the garlic bread with cheese was buttery and phenomenal, the chips were perfect cut and cooked to perfection! Everything was super hot when it arrived! Please keep this up! Haven’t enjoyed food like this for a long time! Thank you!

Good place for a late night kebab after a few drinks in town. Had another yesterday and it was fab!

Absolutely gorgeous food, arrived fresh and hot. High quality ingredients no grease , pizza not dripping in grease and cheap cheese , very impressed will definitely be using them again, so pleased to find a company that uses high quality ingredients and not soaked in grease .As that is all I'm used to recieving, such a refreshing change will be back.

The food was nice, fresh and arrived hot. Not much flavour as the chilli and garlic sauces were very watery and bland and spoiled the meal. Not from the area so probably won’t order again.

What a mistake to go here All the Food was cold … chicken dry. (Wouldn’t feed them to the cat) Pitta breads dry, pizza lacking in flavour Highlight was the side salad was cold and fresh. £23 Lesson learnt.. .Won’t go again

I have popped into this place a couple of times over the years and it consistently offers: 1. Good sized portions 2. Reasonable price 3. Friendly service 4. Good flavours This place is opposite the Uni and as a result is geared up to late nights and good value.

Only had a pizza from here but the service is good and it's pretty quick. Pizza was great.

Burgers were cooked perfect, not overloaded with lettuce and not coated in grease. Good portion of chips, fully cooked not still frozen in the middle. All food arrived hot and earlier than expected Great experience. Definitely ordering again.
