it was so lit the atmosphere was so great there was so many areas open we went at night so hard to hear xx

I would be ashamed if I was running this pub. The state of the toilets was disgusting. One sink completely blocked & 2 sinks full of broken glass. Floor was wet so extremely dangerous. I was there for a couple of hours as well as cocktail making & no staff member must have been in to check.

Awful experience! Booked by a hen party company for dinner and ended up leaving after over an hour with still no pre ordered, and pre paid for (!), food. Bar area really busy due to the bank holiday, restaurant area lacking in staff and those that were on shift didn't appear to realise they worked there. We waited 40 minutes before they brought out only 4 of the 10 drinks ordered! Starters arrived after 45 minutes, poor quality. Whilst waiting for our food we watched waiting staff walk out of the kitchen with food orders for other tables that they were helping themselves to as they walked along. We gave up waiting after an hour and left. Just as well we did as they were then closing for a private function. Facilities dirty, toilets filthy and covered in broken glass. Terrible from start to finish.

Great spot with top-notch cocktail masterclass! Owen behind the bar—absolute legend. Full of chat, proper banter, and somehow managed to make engineering sound interesting. He's a knowledgeable guy and really lovely. Will definitely be back!

Had a lovely afternoon with my husband sat in the sunshine watching the boats go by whilst having a Chicken parmo sandwich and Drink for less than £15. Will go again when in York the food was very nice and hot and fresh and the mid week lunch time offer is perfect.

Absolutely disgusting food Do not visit this place . I never do bad reviews as I’ve never really had to but this was terrible . We got buy a gift voucher for food so we used it here . What a mistake ! We pre ordered burgers . When we got there the place looked nice . Not busy, but lots of staff . Staff were lovely and friendly . We sat down and then a lovely waitress came and re took our order as she didn’t seem to know what we had pre ordered . 50 minutes later our food hadn’t arrived . Our drinks had .i went and asked and our cane our food ( if you can call it that ! ) I took one bite of what looked like shrivelled up halloumi fries with a dried up dip . Totally un enable ! I’m talking they had been sat for ages left warm . The chips were warmed up and the burger was horrible . I asked the waitress who was lovely about the food and sent it back , She apologised and said the head chef went at 6 pm it was now 8 pm and they had a trainee who didn’t know how to cook !!! How bad is that . She offered us a free drink which we didn’t take and said we had to go back to buy a gift to maybe get a refund which I will be doing . Please PLEASE do not waste your money here . It is TERRIBLE!! We left staving and went somewhere else out of pocket . Don’t visit for food here !!!!!! Manager is called Amavia who I had to ask for , was useless . Had no idea what to do !!! The waitress was very helpful though

Absolutely shocking place. 13 of us on my daughter’s hen party. Cocktail Master class was ok. Went back downstairs for food, nobody had a clue what was going on, food wasn’t bad. Took way to long to be served our food then got kicked off the table before our desserts as it was reserved for someone else., so went without. Staff hopeless just wandered round doing nothing. Never again

Most ever paid for a bottomless brunch, received 2 drinks within the first hour out of a 2 hour brunch. The manager was the only one who had a clue as to what was going on, any other staff were wandering round retarded. Absolute waste of money compared to any other local bottomless brunch, don’t waste your time or money. Paid £90 for vip brunch, normal brunch is £70. You’d get more value for money doing rounds in a local pub.

Well me and wife had a afternoon tea. To me i though they all come together. But no food came first then an hour later the desserts. So food came with no knife or forks so she expected us to use our finger. So i had to go and ask for some. Communication was really bad!! So dessert came and again no cutlery or plate bear in mind it was waffles and ice cream and some other desserts so they expect us to use our finger again.she even said enjoy!!! Yea i will do 😒😒 and this time wife went over and ask for cutlery and still no side plate. Food ermmm okay ish Service communication was zero. We felt like service was rubbish and maybe offer cutlery and napkins with food. 😡

Absolouty diabolical establishment which is unfortunate because it's in a prime location with stunning views over the river. We reserved a VIP area for a hen party on Saturday 1st March. The security staff let other people into the area - what's the point of reserving it? We noticed from the drinks menu that they offered table service - brilliant! However after 55 minutes of waiting for our drinks 3 of us went up to the bar to find out what was going on. 1 drink had been made but looked nothing like the beautiful image on the menu. Despite us showing the orders on our phones they were unable to actually provide what we had ordered. Shots were served in regular glasses and despite ordering 5 'shot sticks' we actually only received 2 and gave the rest up because we couldnt wait over an hour for our drinks and had a table for a meal booked elsewhere. Even more frustrating and more to my own foolishness I'd tipped them £5 in advance via the app which to be honest I'm annoyed about because I'm down the cost of 6 shots and the tip that to be honest definitely wasn't deserved. When we went up to the bar there were multiple other people experiencing the same problem. Absolout joke of an establishment, very poorly managed. Very disappointed, having been to the revs in Chester and Newcastle in the past I feel like Yorks branch really let's the side down. The experience at Chester where we did a cocktail making class was awesome. York is an amazing place but the Revs left us all feeling very deflated and ready to move on to somewhere else.

Went for a friends sisters Hendo cocktail making and food @ Revolution every impersonable they need to up their game for 15 people and cordon off a whole area for a big party of 15 or more, they were extremely slow even down to bringing out glasses for the pitchers for water and also not enough cutlery for our party wouldn’t service drink at the bar for cocktail making we had to go down stairs where there was no priority of service for parties we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the whole experience the food was nice but couldn’t enjoy it as we had other venues to go to and had to leave the majority of it as the whole experience revolution times were running late We wouldn’t book this experience again
