The food had good quality standards and had a nice atmosphere. However, the Shepherds Pie was as small as an entre. Also, you have to order sides separately for your steak or main course. The drink menu is disappointing and substandard. The pale ale was tastless and served in frozen cold beer mugs, just like in any chain restaurant in the USA. The port was austere and nothing special. The prices are relatively high for what you are getting.

Lovely food, lovely place. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Will recommend to friends. Travelling back to Midoands and was just under a 20 minute walk to Marylebone Station so very handy

Didn’t have a reservation however we were offered a seat at the bar which I had no issues with initially. Then were kind of ignored for quite a long time and then eventually we were asked if we wanted anything which considering how long we’d waited was a daft question. Food came and the burgers were decent and portion size enough. The staff tried to clear the table whilst partner was still eating and then she offered dessert when it was clear he was still eating his main. My biggest issue was more the manager in a grey suit and a greasy style combover who was micro managing and berating the staff at the bar constantly which was making my partner and I really uncomfortable. There was no need for any of it to be done in public view. He really needs to relax a little and support staff. Not a pleasant dining experience at all.

Worth a try, nice breakfast place

Nice friendly staff, and efficient service throughout. However, the food was underwhelming and disappointing. Flavourless and over-battered tempura squid starter. Fish & Chips main came with all the trimmings, but the cod fillet was thin, and batter very greasy. I keep forgetting not to bother with Fish&Chips in London restaurants, but I always like to see if this option can be elevated by using the best ingredients and execution; better stick to proper chippies for this in future. My partner was also not bowled-over. The Ivy not great for me on this occasion, but it's a very popular joint, so what do I know? Nice atmosphere and evening ambience. Nice location in Marylebone. Very busy.

Great place to people watch. Food was just OK, not as good as other Ivy's I've been to. My fish was not fresh. Service was attentive, although I was asked to repeat my order 3 times. Overall, not up to usual Ivy Cafe standards.

I would like to say a big thank you to the staff at The Ivy Cafe Marylebone. We were running very late for our 1pm booking due to train issues. They called at 1:10 to see if we were still coming and said they would hold it. We finally arrived at 1:30 and they had unexpectedly still held our table despite a queue of people wanting a table without booking. Even then they did not rush us, and we had a fantastic meal and experience.

One of the best Ivy Cafe's and apart from a consistent standard of food, reassuringly, delightful staff and attentiveness, tho' tbh some expectations from either outside of, or local can be somewhat unreasonable but hey, be nice and you're gonna have a lovely time. Thanks Sarah, Jean Francois and Kostas + all of the adorable team there. ❤️ Equally lovely team, slightly ropey minute steak which is a pity, try Pierre Victoire's please and revisit it, think you'll see where am trying to help here ;) but aside from that, atmosphere, great feeling, all as was 👏🏼

We had a girls Christmas brunch. The Ivy cafe was the perfect venue for our occasion. The atmosphere was so Christmassy and allowed us to take many fabulously festive photos. The staff were a class act! Especially our server Kate, who made our day. Food was yummy, as always. Cocktails were a highlight too! 🍸🍹

Not a great place for vegans. I had the vegan burger and it was probably one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had, while at the same time being one of the most expensive - barely any sauce and a mushy patty lacking flavour. They obviously don’t care about making their vegan options as tasty as the other food, which is disappointing. Plus the only vegan dessert option was sorbet - yawn.

We had late lunch at 3 pm. The staff are extremely courteous and accomodating. We had the 2 course set menu (starter, main) and added the dessert. Nice food and presentation. The photos show the buffalo mozzarella (starter), salmon rillette (starter), pan fried chicken (main), and chocolate brownie.

Very delicious and filling breakfast. Had the poached eggs on smashed avo, scrambled eggs on sourdough, and the breakfast special. The food was prepared really fast. Our waiter Xeni was very friendly and helpful! Overall a very nice experience and I'll always come back here.

This cafe is my favourite cream tea place! I often take my friends. The serving is so pretty. Scone is perfect texture and fluffy inside. Price is reasonable. I had ordered other food but they were good. Always busy but nice place.

Beautiful restaurant in every aspect, the staff were so welcoming and hospitable we appreciate Shanty for how considerable as she was with us. The food was amazing and the service was on top with Xeni. Highly recommend

I've eaten at two The Ivy's in London. The decorations are equally luxurious and beautiful, and the food is average to above average, not terrible but not super delicious either. Side dishes like the Sunday roast are ok but the meat is so dry that I can hardly bite it🥲The shepherd’s pie is very good, and my friend said the fish and chips are also good👍

My partner and I held our wedding reception at The Ivy Café, following a ceremony at the Town Hall. We booked the place out and had around 65 people in attendance. We worked with Jess from the Ivy events team to plan it. The experience was fantastic. From the calm and helpful planning process, through to the day itself, we felt well looked after and reassured that everything was being taken care of. We were able to create our own food menu to give our guests some choice. Everyone was raving about the food, which was nice to hear and a testament to the quality of The Ivy’s menu development and cooking. We created a small menu for the bar too, which was fun. We decorated with our own flowers, we were able to play our own music and there were some great canapés and drinks on arrival. Overall, we all had a really fun and lovely time and couldn’t recommend The Ivy Café enough, whether just for a meal, a larger booking or a private event. Alessandro (Restaurant Manager) and the team are all exceptional. This restaurant is now very special to us. Thank you to The Ivy team, you’re the best.

Food and service excellent. Quite expensive but there is a brand premium. Wine could be better eg a NV blended white lacking taste at £40 best removed from menu.

Great place for breakfast! The food was delicious, and the service – especially Xeni – was super friendly and attentive. Thanks to the beautiful decorations, you get a pre-Christmas atmosphere even in November. Highly recommended!

Dined at the Ivy with my best friend and the food was amazing! What was even better was the incredible staff - Naz specifically was the greatest waiter I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Everything he recommended was perfection, was very attentive, and wonderfully charming. Kate was also amazing! First of all, obsessed with her pinstriped suit but also, she was so welcoming, sweet and funny! Food and drinks were delicious, and the chocolate bombe dessert is not one to miss! Great experience, would come here again!

Came here for breakfast, received great services. I can sense that the waiters really care about your experience as I asked for more bacon due to some are overcooked and they happily gave me more. Really recommend.

I have been to this cafe and really liked it. To be fair I have also been to the Chelsea Ivy which is a lot bigger. I both like the 2 cafes and defently return when I will be back in London. The food was nice great quality for the price you pay 😊👌

Service was slow. Waiter got order wrong and came out with main instead of starter. Very disappointed as it was my birthday and unfortunately it was spoilt. Very expensive and it was not a good experience and will not be going there again.

Service is terrible here. The restaurant will not have a table for you even when you have booked a reservation. There’s a small area to wait in, we were pushed past by servers, the unattentive host didn’t even give us a time in which it would be ready, we were finally given a table after 15 minutes and then I had to ask the dark haired waitress if she could take our order as we had been sitting for 10 minutes with no interaction from her, when she was clearly standing around doing nothing. Go elsewhere

I love the Ivy collection… this one is great too, but probably one of the busiest and smallest one… which makes it loud and less relaxing than other. We had to wait quite a bit to take our order but the staff was lovely.

Very nice atmosphere, but the staff was catastrophic. My family and I had to order 5 times so that it arrived correctly in the kitchen. Also, ALL of the dishes on the menu had garlic in them, which wasn't very pleasant since my family and I are allergic to garlic. Food wasn't great either.

Very rude waiter. You pay a lot to be humiliated and insulted because your waiter is having behaving like a child. Many other option are out there in London with more well mannered service for the same quality of food.

Booked for breakfast, one of the female waitresses brought the coffee, nearly threw it on the table spilling it. Didn't offer to clean it up. I had to ask for sugar and she never returned. Seemed to have a right attitude on her, anyone can have a bad day but this ruined our experience. Hence I refused to pay the service charge. Usually the Ivy is a great experience.

Squashed in a very small space between two very loud speakers each side of the table .. I know more than I need to about a company executives legal battle with his client .. tables are way too close together and it’s hard to enjoy any conversation Slow service and 13.5 percent service charge is ridiculous as certainly not attentive to customers and justifying “service charge “ Gluten free choice is limited .. vegan and vegetarian options are aplenty but actual needs are not being met Super location and the chap at the entrance is fabulous.. rest of the staff need training to be in service of their customers .. a waiter vigorously scrubbing a coat after spilling something on it .. truly embarrassing and not the response I would expect Glad it wasn’t my coat Overall good food but cramming in customers isn’t a good thing for me to make me want to return. Noting that so many other table spaces were not offered! Disappointed but

Thoroughly enjoyable experience and great quality food.

We arrived at 9pm with a last minute reservation and they took care of us. Venkata served us and he was kind , attentive and checked on us throughout the evening. We enjoyed our dinner and he acknowledged my friend’s 21st birthday and was lovely arranging celebration. Floor manager also did a wonderful job turning tables around and serving everything on time. Thank you for making our last minute evening, wonderful .

So bad it was laughable. Trying to take so many covers on a Friday morning that the staff simply cannot cope : 45 mins for a coffee, wrong food, wrong drinks (twice), wrong bill, didn’t even provide me with a plate(?). Used to really like coming here, but given you prioritise volume over service, I won’t come back.

Checked the menus and booked via the Ivy site and when seated asked for the Taste of Autumn menu to be told that this menu was only available weekdays even though this was not stated on the site and still isn't. we left and will not be returning.

The good: the food we ate was delicious. It's in a great location and the decor is handsome. Drinks were well made. The bad: service appears chaotic. Lots of rushing around looking very busy, but not really doing anything. Most staff are doing each others jobs, with the host and management removing empty plates from tables but not able to take an order when we asked. It took 25 minutes for us to place a food order, despite us being in a very prominent position within the restaurant and clearly invisible in plain sight. Customer service is really lacking. The ability to communicate effectively with diners. In addition, they really need to take better care of customers, watch tables, ask if we'd like another drink if they see an empty glass - don't just whip the empty one away without checking. Go for the food. It's very good. Don't go if you value service (and your time!).

A nice experience. The restaurant is clean and tidy, and the service is good. We ordered two types of breakfast, one of which contains pork. We asked for it to be removed from the English breakfast, and we ordered the vegetarian breakfast, which was delicious 👍🏻 and exact Tropican juice.
