Another great stay at Motel One! The room was small, but well organized and clean, service was good, and the bar / lounge was excellent. Love the breakfast and options for afternoon tea and evening drinks. Comfortable, quiet, and inviting.

It is the first time we stayed in this hotel. The bright room had a beautiful view of the city. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast room/lobby/bar is very nicely decorated. Only continental breakfast is served, there is sufficient choice and allergens are also taken into account. If you want an English breakfast, there are plenty of options nearby. The hotel is close to Aldgate tube station. There are plenty of nice restaurants nearby. You're a stone's throw from Spitalfields, Bricklane, Shoreditch… I definitely recommend the hotel and will hopefully return in the future.

Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy my stay at this hotel. I am extremely disgusted with the fact that a staff member walked in on me whilst I was getting dressed. I felt violated, to make matters worse her excuse was very poor. Me not hearing her knock the door doesn’t give her the right to walk into the room. To make matters worse, our room was opposite an office block so I couldn’t open the curtains as everyone would have been able to see into the room. Which was also extremely cold and we couldn’t adjust the heating as it was set very low. So they gave us a small space heater. Based on the price that I paid for my stay I don’t think it was worth it. Worst hotel I have ever visited. And I will not be returning or even recommending such a place.

Incredible location near the Tower of London. Most comfy bed on our whole trip and cozy rooms. Nice breakfast buffet for extra charge. Lounge was amazing and inviting, fun drink options for a nice evening. Great time in London.

Small rooms but quiet, clean and comfortable

The location is great for a city trip. Metro stations Aldgate and Tower Hill can be reached in max 5 minutes. Bus stop right outside the front door. The Tower of London and Tower Bridge can be reached within 10 minutes. Lots of restaurants nearby. I was disappointed with the breakfast because I was really looking forward to bacon and eggs. Unfortunately it wasn't available. I wouldn't book breakfast here again. The lounge style lobby is very nice but impractical for breakfast. Room was completely okay for our trip.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Motel One. The location is so convenient and has an amazing view from the higher floors. My room was immaculate. Very clean which had not been my experience in some other similar hotels. The bathroom was spotless, tea and coffee provided in the room.The bed was extremely comfortable with crisp, clean linens. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. I will definitely choose Motel One for any future stays in London.

We had a room on the corner of the building, 7th floor with large bay windows, so a superb view of the City. I regret the lack of snacks and the rooms, although very clean, could do with a little modernization.

Room was good - view on the 3rd floor of the backyard was great… a safe wouldn't have been bad. The staff was very friendly.

One thing in advance: we stay at Hotel One’s around 2 to 3 times a year in different cities (this year in Freiburg, Amsterdam and London). Now to London: Hotel central and rooms very clean. Quality good standard and very satisfactory. We booked two double rooms for a total of 4 nights for 3 people and paid a good GBP 500 per night. We received a bottle of water per room. When we asked for a bottle of water after the 2nd night we had to pay GBP4. Certainly correct according to internal instructions, but petty for this price for 4 nights! Customer loyalty is probably not desired. Will we generally avoid Motel One? We don't know yet, but not receiving a response is already an answer and disappointing (after 3 weeks)! Conclusion: location and room recommended. Service: Better to avoid, a shame!

My favorite hotel in London. The rooms, like almost every Motel One I've stayed in, are very clean. Thanks to the standardized architecture, you can find your way around straight away. The staff is always friendly and helpful. However, the facility is slowly getting old. The mattresses should definitely be replaced.

Super nice location, but the breakfast is very economical compared to other Motel Ones in Germany. No scrambled eggs, no bacon and hardly any choice overall.

I stayed at Motel One mid-week while visiting London for work. The room was comfortable, with all that was needed for a 2 night stay. On the 15th floor so a great view of London. The breakfast was a regular continental buffet with a good choice of food. Loved the smiley boiled eggs. Breakfast seating was a bit of a challenge though. Be warned that there's a lot of competition for the standard tables and chairs which meant having to use the lower armchairs with side tables which may not be ideal for some.

A decent, modern hotel, with well-sized rooms, considering the usual small size of hotel rooms in London.

Nice hotel with good connections to public transport and good restaurants nearby. The view from the room was simply great (15th floor). What would still be missing would be a small safe in the room

Super nice, clean, very comfortable room, breakfast was a 10, nothing was missing, friendly staff and excellent location right in front of the bus stop and two steps from Aldgate station, they stored our suitcases for us after checkout without problems, I highly recommend it

Rooms were clean, modern, the lighting was ba. Night stand lamps that take forever to get bright, main lights completely blinding in the morning/evening. Curtains took up too much space.

Next to London Tower , the room was big clean and it is quiet. We will go again there as we had a very nice time.

Typical motel one, ticks all the right boxes. I've stayed at this location a few times. Low star rating because on one occasion, the provided towels had brown stains. I raised this to customer service bug received no reply.

Pros: Great location (close to historical sites, tube station and financial district), nice front desk service (left luggage with them hours before check-in with no problem), good room service, quick and convenient breakfast options, very nice and open lobby with tons of seating options, easy checkout (you just drop your key in a box at the front desk), nice views (if you book a room with "view" in the name), couldn't hear road noise (was on the north side of the building), couldn't hear people walking upstairs Cons: Small rooms like you tend to find in Europe (2 people would just barely fit, and you'll probably be tripping over your suitcases as you shimmy around), basically no amenities in the room aside from a TV and small bathroom, really thin walls (I was woken up by the person in the next room yelling one night), doors closing were loud

I had an excellent stay at Motel One London Tower Hill. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-designed. Highly recommend !

The hotel is very central, right next to Algate Station. Still, it's quiet. The rooms are small but very clean. The beds deserve special mention. They're great. You sleep perfectly. The breakfast was very good and there was plenty of choice. The lobby is very nice. But unfortunately breakfast takes place in the lobby. That's why there is always some unrest in this area. Something quieter would be nicer for breakfast. But otherwise everything was ok.

The room was a bit pokey, the bathroom fairly small and a fridge would have been nice. The area around the hotel is pretty quiet, but it’s not the noise from outside that was an issue. The walls are super thin and we were woken at 5am by an ultra amorous couple (to be fair, it was her making all the noise) that were still at it with 7am fastly approaching. I spent the rest of the day feeling tired and slightly inadequate. Apart from that, the room was nice and clean. Ours that is - next door’s more than likely quite the opposite.

Don't bring a large cat! Stars deducted because they charged our CC twice!!

Everything was wonderful, we recommend the breakfast with regional products, we would love to come back! What stands out is the very nice and helpful staff, we'll be happy to come back!

Super small rooms and people were not very friendly, but it was clean, quiet and the social area was really nice.

The location is excellent, very close to Aldgate tube station, with easy access to local attractions and coffee shops. The room was small but comfortable and had all the basics you need. The staff were friendly and provided excellent customer service. However, one downside was that the curtains don’t block the morning light effectively. They should be thicker or have two layers to ensure better sleep quality. Despite this, the hotel's location, comfort, and excellent staff made for a pleasant stay. Highly recommended!

Great location and rooms. The breakfast is very well stocked and delicious.

Our stay was very nice. The rooms were clean and sufficient, a closet would perhaps have been desirable. The breakfast was very tasty and there was a lot of choice. On Saturdays at peak times it can get very crowded, we had to wait for a free table. The location was great, within 10 minutes we were at Towerbridge or in 5 minutes at Aldgate tube station. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

It is a modern London hotel located on the border between historic and modern London. The rooms are clean and well furnished. Sockets for appliances are also of the French type, so don't worry that you won't be able to charge your mobile if you don't have a reduction.

Very well located hotel a few steps from Tower Bridge. Very accessible by bus and metro. To summarize, I would say that the hotel has everything of a palace! - very beautiful and impeccable in terms of cleanliness. The bedding is very comfortable, no noise at night, which is appreciated, and their hygiene products are great! (If I can have the ref. for the Grégoire shower gel 😆) -Breakfast is served late, you can sleep in, it’s so nice! Plus it’s very, very good and plentiful! Everything is fresh, nothing is missing. - attentive staff no matter who you are, a businessman, a poorly dressed tourist, you are received like a VIP. The staff is beautiful, discreet, pleasant... - a huge THANK YOU to GRÉGOIRE, yes that's what his name is, I think he is the very definition of English charm and yet he is French! If you don't speak English, he will be able to give you all the tourist information in French!

Dormo al motel one da anni, almeno 2-3 volte l’anno. Per me (lavoro) è l’incastro perfetto in una città come Londra dove spesso la qualità degli hotel, soprattutto in rapporto al prezzo, è molto altalenante. È stato il frutto di una ricerca felice. Molto buona la colazione di cui consiglio di approfittare, letto comodo, camera piccola (difficile lavorarci, ma c’è ampio spazio nella lobby per farlo) ma confortevole e pulita. Camera silenziosa, si dorme molto bene. Bagno essenziale ma moderno, bella doccia. C’è un bollitore in camera, per aver sempre the e caffè. Oltre alla colazione non serve nessun altro cibo durante il giorno, neanche uno snack (forse solo noccioline e patatine in sacchetto piccolo da accompagnare ai drink, non cibo vero), neanche la sera e questo per un business hotel è un po’ una pecca, visto che nel quartiere dopo le 22 è tutto chiuso e se uno arriva tardi da un viaggio (cosa che può capitare a chi viaggia per lavoro) rischia di rimanere digiuno. Anche perché nella lobby non è consentito mangiare, nonostante la presenza di tavoli e sono rigidissimi su questo. A me è capitato di finire un lungo meeting alle 23, sedermi per mangiare un panino preso lungo la strada di ritorno (visto l’assenza di alternative dell’hotel) da accompagnare a un drink ordinato al banco e sentirmi chiedere subito i soldi per il drink e dopo 3 minuti essere invitata a mettere via il panino perché non è consentito mangiare. Politica che capisco, ma allora tu hotel devi darmi da mangiare o offrirmi delle alternative e soprattutto mi avvisi mentre ti ordino il drink, non due minuti dopo che te l’ho pagato. Praticamente ogni anno la porta a vetri in ingresso si rompe o si incastra, ma la cosa viene sempre gestita felicemente, senza disagi per i clienti. Disponibili ombrelli per chi lo richiede. Il personale cambia spesso e questo purtroppo offre livelli di servizio differenti, che dipendono molto dall’inclinazione del singolo e non da una prassi ben testata e rodata. talvolta si vede che le persone al desk o al bar non sono preparatissime nelle risposte o nella gestione dei clienti e più di qualche volta li ho visti pasticciare con il conto (=pagamento) degli ospiti (a tal proposito: verificate sempre cosa vi mettono in conto e quante volte), ma anche dare risposte molto rigide, senza interpretare o capire la situazione. Un responsabile/punto di riferimento più esperto e sempre presente in sala aiuterebbe. Posizione ottima, vicina sia a metro che a dlr e in una delle parti di Londra più carine e vitali.

Das Frühstück ist für London City sehr gut. Der TV ist für den Kunden voreingestellt. Das Personal ist kompetent und freundlich. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm.

We had a slight problem with the water in the bathroom that was not hot enough. Nafisa at the reception desk and Grégoire Roussel (reservation service) immediately took care of it and changed our room. Great service

The best hotel for business travellers in the City. Great value, and brilliant staff. And always lovely and clean..... cant recommend it enough.
