Why answe phone and say I can have mixed meat....then 2 mins later not answer so I don't get what I wanted to order

don't order delivers from here they don't give you half your order and blame it on delivery drivers first time I believed them but it happened exactly the same the second time

The best fish & chips in Cov !! I have tried so many chippy's as I love a fish chips & mushy peas once a week & St George's is THE BEST BY FAR ! Order the fish as you go in it's cooked fresh for EVERY customer & well worth waiting few minutes for 😋 the staff are friendly, the portions of chips are great regular fish is huge batter is bubbly & crispy & scallops are fantastic fried chicken tastes amazing you won't be disappointed. Very highly recommend St George's Plaice for fish & chip lovers 🏆

Just had a fantastic donner batch with chips and salad. The chips were plump and tasty, the salad is fresh and the donner meat was perfectly cooked. Really nice clean chipshop with very friendly staff and fast service. Large portions are not expensive. Had food from here twice last summer, and it is still as good, so a well-deserved 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ review

Never had such awesome fish and chips! The portions are huge! Food always hot abd ready to eat! Wish they were open Sundays too, would have their feasts daily! Great prices too! You can't go wrong with George's Plaice in Canely Coventry, AWESOME STUFF!!!

Good value for the price. I usually come here when i am taking a walk after a long day too tired to cook dinner. Lovely people, huge portion sizes. I tried their fried chicken too, i like it so much! Chicken portion is massive as well.

What can I say incredible food, best fish and chips I have eaten in a very long while! Fish is cooked fresh to order, staff are so friendly and great atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon for our chippy tea.

Absolutely cracking chippy since it got bought out a couple years back after a fire. Everything made to order so there is a slight wait but good prices and always top notch munch. Best chippy in Coventry. Has won local awards to prove it too.

Beautifully battered piece of cod and a yummy scollop. We ordered for team lunch and they named the bags and told us how much our individual orders cost so nice and easy to sort out.

Have always lived close to the sea and been to my fair share of chip shops, but have to say the cod here is perhaps the best I’ve ever had. With some decent chips and curry sauce for little over a tenner, perfect 👌

Fish and chip shops are supposed to be for low income people but at these prices it’s just not real ordinary working class people paying these extraordinary eye prices I’ve been once I shall never go back again. I live on a council estate in Canley not some I rated posh area I expect my local chip shop to be a lot cheaper than it is, as I said I will not visit again

Popped in yesterday evening after craving a donner kebab...( first one in years) and boy, did it hit the spot. Freshly cut donner meat, crisp salad and great chilli sauce. Had some really nicely cooked chips with it too... Will definitely return. Thanks Guys. Craving over.

Well what can I say, the best fish & chips I have had in Coventry in 20 years. I still drive to Yorkshire for good f&c’s well not anymore. The batter was crispy and not greasy, the chips were lovely (too many for me) and they do bits - nowhere in Cov do bits 🤯 Lovely service so an all round great fish and chip shop. The price was great too. I am over the moon. Keep up the good work and we will be back

The food here is great. We used to go to beechtree chippy but it's quite far and this chippy is on our road so ideal. The batter is just beautiful and crispy. These are the only guys to provide scraps with your chips. Amazing!

Never tried em but wanted to. Ordered for the first time online for delivery with 1 hour 15 minutes before their closing time (arguably, plenty of time left). Order got initially accepted, then cancelled a few mins later. Thanks for that. I'll be sure to never order again.

Best chippy I've ever had. No other chippy compares, in my experience. Food is always piping hot, and portions are well sized. Can always count on having a kebab sandwich or two the next day. Chips are always soft and crispy and scolops are always crispy and never stale. Well priced, always going to be my chippy recommendation until the day i die.

Very bad customer service so sad to say this I love their food but they never gave to me.

Ordered some chips, curry sauce and jumbo sausages from Just Eat. One of the sausages had definitely been sat for a while and was firm and dry. The worst issue was the fairly long head hair we found in the food… shame because the few bits we are generally tasted good but obviously didn’t want to eat anymore after being contaminated with the hair

I love this place. The prices are so reasonable and a large portion of chips (which are about £3.90 each) easily satiate 2 people and to go along with a battered sausage each (£1.90!), it creates a hearty meal for a fun price. I will make this my weekend chippy.

Time and time again, this place doesn't disappoint. Fresh food, great service. Sometimes it takes a while to get food, but that is all depending on amount of customers in the chippy.

Even though we had to travel for 30mins we went here for the first time after reading of their award in the local paper and we were not disappointed. The food was great and very keen prices. The kebab was lovely and the fish was not too greasy and delicious. The chips were fantastic. Very friendly owners and the recent food award was well deserved. Will be back for sure

Great Chip Shop and very good value. If closed (which it rarely is), I'll go without even though there are two other shops closer to me. Nice & friendly staff and owners, the fish especially is excellent and cooked fresh with gorgeous batter. Good size portions too and I've yet to be disappointed. In fact I'm off there now, writing this has made me hungry!

It could be called one of the better chip shops in Coventry if not the best! Cleanliness was really good. The food is fresh, quantity huge and great value for money. Their naan with mixed kebab is something you could try as the meat was quite succulent. The Fish and chips are a dependable home run, never disappoints.
