Food was amazing, the waiters were even better! Would definitely come again, friendly owner the atmosphere was great!

Found this absolute diamond by chance and I can honestly say this is what heaven tastes like! The restaurant was intimate and bustling with character. Srishti was absolutely amazing and her attention to detail and love in her food is exceptional.

Never been to a restaurant that needed to order our food 3 times. Food was ok except we could hear that the kitchen keep heating up food from the microwave. Naan bread and roti were let down, don't think they were freshly made tasted like supermarket bought; roti was very dry. Also we could hear her telling the waiters off from the kitchen. The atmosphere was bad! I suggest her to get Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmare for some help.

I visited on a quiet Thursday evening - a warm welcome from Srishti and seated straight away. Pappadums to start, they are cooked fresh to order and are perfectly crisp! Served with some chutneys. We ordered the Lamb Jalfrezi, which I can safely say was the BEST Lamb Jalfrezi I have ever eaten... Unlike any other lamb curry I have had from a restaurant, the lamb was melt in the mouth - clearly slow cooked (I don't think many other restaurants do this) and it makes a huge difference! I asked for extra spicy and it was absolutely perfect! We also ordered Chicken Balti - again excellent... Thick sauce full of flavour and texture. BUT the star of the show for me is the Dal Makhani (black Dal). Wow what a dish... Amazing flavours - the kind you only get from Dal Makhani, savoury, earthy and creamy. This was my first time here and I wish I had visited much sooner!! Will be back very soon!

Honestly the best Indian food I’ve ever had. My favourite is the buttered chicken with rice and naan. The food is to die for and amazing for the prices. 100% recommend to anyone who wants any type of Indian food and a hunger for a nice curry.

Absolutely amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️If you crave proper, authentic, delicious, freshly made indian food, this is the place. The dal makhani is one of the best I have ever had, highly recommend the Rogan ghosh, spicy potatoes, paneer kadai....everything. Have the thali. The children had butter chicken. Shristi is the owner and this restaurant is her passion and it def shines through. We felt comfortable, Shristi cooked for us, and it was like home away from home. She sat with us, had chai and we talked into the wee hours. This was food for the stomach and soul. Would come back and highly recommend it. Thank you Shristi for one of the most memorable meals, dining experiences and happy memories.

I visited Mirch Masala / Srishti’s kitchen and was blown away. Srishti greeted me, took my order and prepared my food and was absolutely brilliant throughout. I love Indian food so was delighted to be able to get a Thali which was a taster menu of my four favourite curries, there was a great sized portion of each one with rice and a naan. Absolutely blown away by this place and will definitely be coming back when I next get a chance.

I recently had an unpleasant experience at a local restaurant that I had been looking forward to trying. The food had received great reviews, but my encounter with the owner soured the entire visit. From the moment I walked in, she was dismissive and condescending. For instance, when I politely asked what’s the best selling curry in her restaurant and she went like “It depends, Like for example I don’t like Paneer so I wouldn’t say don’t try Paneer” well, we never asked if she likes Paneer or chicken. The basic question was “what’s the best selling curry here” and that’s it! We similarly had such sarcastic replies from her while we were in there. Her nasty attitude and unprofessional behavior were shocking. It was clear she had no interest in ensuring customers had a pleasant dining experience. I am 100% sure I won't be returning to a place where the owner treats patrons so poorly. Also, to add on the food was horrible. Thanks Shrishti! I hope this review helps.

We were lucky to find this little place. The host was very accommodating, polite and personable. After a long while, it felt like a place that really offers fresh home cooked indian food. All the dishes were good and tasted very organic. Highly recommend to those who wants to discover home cooked indian food.

Too much delay more than 1.30h waiting, the food is below average and I don’t know how they are running the restaurant with poor management but they did give me a £5 discount for the inconvenience

This is our go to place for tasty Indian food. They have plenty of vegetarian options and the ambience is quite cozy and welcoming. Srishti is an amazing chef and very friendly. I would highly recommend going and trying the tasty food Mirch Masala has to offer.

It is a family run Indian food restaurant. The food was extremely fresh (and worth the wait - which was explained to us nicely as we entered that it would take time). The veggies were made spicy on request and was amazingly tasty. Our family enjoyed the dinner. Thank you!

I have never had such an amazing meal as the one I had here. Fantastic. Flavours and tastes to die for. The staff were amazing and very welcoming. Perfect service. Srishti would win the gold medal in the Olympics if there was one for cooking. We are not locals, we're on holiday from Wales. What a find this restaurant is. It was my first experience to this restaurant and I must say the food was outstanding it was so so so delicious that I couldn’t stop eating and end up doing over eating plus order extra food as take away to enjoy it more . It is was worth every bite .

I’m not that familiar with Bicester and I was looking for an Indian restaurant / takeaway. So glad I chose Mirch Masala!! I ordered for takeout. Front of house was very friendly and accommodating and the food was just awesome! I only have one critique though and this is only my personal preference and I’m sure if I request this, the chef would absolutely accommodate. I would have liked the chillies in the Jal Frieze to be cooked whole or sliced centred and probably a few extra chillies. Other than that, perfect food!

Best restaurant in Bicester. Very friendly and fun staff give this place a very quirky, intimate and homely feel, and the food is absolutely stellar, with vegetarian and vegan options galore.

All I can say is wow. I very rarely eat Asian food when out, so we decided to this time. I was skeptical about the food. But wow I was so wrong! It was like having mums cooking! The food and service was absolutely brilliant. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Bicester area.

I think I've just had one of the best meals I've had in a long time, I popped in for a takeaway just as they opened, the lady was so nice, the food was freshly made, everything about my meal was just perfect, it's a good job I don't live here as I'd be in here every day. We came across this restaurant during our most recent visit to Bicester village. We went in because of the excellent reviews. It is a very small space with limited seating, and ambience is not great, but we were met with very friendly smiles and kind words. We went in with a toddler; they didn’t have a chair for the child, but we were happy to adjust. The dishes were served in white ikea plates, which was not very appealing. I would highly suggest you upgrade your crockery. Everything apart, the food served there was soo good. It was the best chicken tikka masala I’ve ever had!! The fish masala was too mild for us, but good. The chicken 65 starter was really good too! We waited a long time for our meal to arrive, but the chef herself came out to apologise to each table. The whole place could do with an uplift, but the service is great, and the food is excellent! I will definitely go back for more! Thank you!

Simply the best curry we’ve had in many many years. Home cooked with beautiful flavour. No excessive grease like you get with some curry’s, tasted and felt very healthy. Small restaurant with very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

On a rainy day in Bicester, we were very hungry and cold. We searched on Google and found this small yet cozy Indian restaurant in a mall. The lady was very friendly and the herbal ginger tea she served us warmed us up immediately. We felt at home. The food she made was awesome. It’s the best food we had since we arrived Bicester. Great food and great service. It’s definitely a value for money choice! Highly recommended

Mirch Masala serves delicious authentic indian food. The best onion bhaji and chicken 65 I've ever had in my life. The curries are also to die for! I can't recommend this place enough, the space is warm and the owner is super hospitable and bubbly.

Small restaurant with nice atmosphere, helpful staff, and most importantly a great taste of freshly prepared food. For the children the lamb rogan josh turned out to be a bit spicy, which was friendly compensated with a free drink as a not needed apology. The chef made sure everything was to our wishes.

Simply brilliant. Want to eat home cooked or dhaba like food in bicester, this is the place. Host loves to chat which adds charm to the place. We ordered chana masala and kadhai paneer along with garlic naan and mango lassi. Each and every dish was fabulous!

Google maps may not take you there directly…park in the nearby car park and walk. Feels deceptively rated high from the outside and has about 10-12 chairs for dine in. Takes longer to serve as they seem to prioritise takeaway. Said all that, food is good. Vegetarian options are better in the main course than starters. Pani puri isn’t authentic enough so I’d skip that. Won’t be disappointed with the rest. Go early for a better dining experience.

A small Indian restaurant tucked away in The Crown Walk. Despite the size, the food was something to talk about. All made fresh to order, with obvious care taken to ensure that each bite tastes as good as the last. Can't recommend the Naan enough, it's incredibly soft and light, and a great addition to any curry you order. And the lovely lady who owns the place has such a great attitude towards her customer service and the food she prepares. Definitely going to recommend to friends and family, and will be back to try the Onion Bhaji.

We came across this place completely by accident, but I'm so glad we did. The food was delicious, and the owner (who also cooks the food and waits on the tables) was ever so welcoming. The Thali is a great choice if you can't decide what to order, and will easily serve two hungry people. Definitely coming again.

There are many Indian restaurants. Some of them are in Bicester. If you like a standard menu and typical experience, then do not come to the Mirch Masala Rasoi. If, however, you want to eat really authentic Indian food, and have your tastebuds blown away, then this is one of the best restaurants of its kind outside of the subcontinent. Unpretentious, basic even. Don’t be put off by the location. All the food is cooked fresh from base ingredients, and the chef/owner really knows what she’s doing. A gem worth travelling to experience.

A large party was well catered for with excellent food and friendly service.

Make no mistake about it, this is genuine Indian cuisine, not the normal British Indian fare. Just imagine you have an Indian aunt, and you go to hers for dinner. That’s basically the gig here. And it’s all the better for it. The food is quite simply beyond anything you’ll get anywhere else in the town. I would love to give this 5 stars but the service is a bit random. So bear with them, they want you to be happy. The food is well worth anyones time and patience.

Visited after a recommendation from a friend and glad we did! Food was great, service felt very personal. Particularly liked that we were asked preference on spice level. Paneer dishes were fanrastic and staff so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and will be going back!

Lived in Bicester over 20 years and have tried many Indians around Bicester, but this is by far the best! Small and homely gives it a super personable feel. Lovely owner and staff (understatement of the century), and the food was out of this world (all cooked by the owner) - and the price surprised us with how low it was (service charge included!) We were told about this little gem. we were greeted with a warm welcome and a big smile. The food was amazing as if we were having a home cooked meal with the dining out flavours.
