Spudulike in Norwich

for £17 we got two small jacket potatoes with okay cheese shoved into a polystyrene tray, with some ice cold garlic bread and two okay cups of diet cola. The only person there seemed about dead on his feet, and only later did anyone appear to clean the tables or actually give the lad any help. so in short, bad presentation, no customer focus, nothing interesting to put on the potatoes. James Martin, if someone with another potato fast food place set up, you would need to innovate or close.

Whilst Christmas shopping today, I stopped at “Spud u like” Chapelfield Norwich. What a lovely experience. Dean, serving at the counter was cheerful, helpful and very efficient. Without heavy selling, he had most of the customers upgrading their meals. The staff preparing the food were very efficient as were the staff clearing tables. A Great team who clearly work well together and my jacket potato with cream cheese and salmon was absolutely delicious. Well done, despite being rushed off your feet, you all remained professional, friendly and efficient. Thank you.

Overpriced and very poor portion size. Had chilli and cheese topping. They didn't give much. Coffee and cookie we're okay. Chilli was nice but hardly any of it! Just so mean with the portion at such a high price! Not worth it!

My compliments to the chef! Truly a magnificent dish, with a crispy 'tato skin baked to perfection - crispy as the first frost of Winter! And the inside... as fluffy as the goose down in a queen's pillow. I shall remember this venture for the rest of my life. But alas, I shall never return, for I cannot.

Un poco menos de 7 para una papa al horno con mucho relleno, 2 piezas de pan de ajo y un refresco de tamaño muy razonable, me pareció una muy buena relación calidad-precio, especialmente si nos fijamos en las otras opciones a su alrededor. El servicio fue amable y sin prisas, la calidad de la comida era buena y las porciones de ingredientes eran generosos.

I’ve been here several times now and without a doubt it’s the best baked potato I’ve ever had. Ok yes for a potato it isn’t cheap ( but definitely not expensive!!), but it’s worth every penny if that’s what you fancy as you simply won’t be disappointed. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful too and make you feel very welcome, so definitely walk past KFC and McDonald’s and give Spud u like a try!!!

Was ok what can I say it was a spud with cheese and Beans very over priced if you think about it and cheese was on bottom so could not tell how much was on I did ask for cheese on top

All the other fast food places in the Mall were busy but there were free tables here. Having paid nearly 8 pounds for a potato with beans and cheese plus a drink I think I can guess why this place had empty tables. They put the cheese on before the beans so you don't see how much you are getting but I don't think it was very much! You can get exactly the same meal at the market for about half the price.

Mum and I often grab a quick meal here and the service is always amazing. I highly recommend the meal deal which is definitely the best value for money. The young gentlemen that work here are a credit to Spudulike. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always helpful and polite. This place is always spotless too.

Usually just grab a coffee and a cake from here but decided to have some food as it was late night shopping.The main things I love about this kiosk is how spotless it is and how friendly the staff are,the young chap who usually works there is a credit to them,we ordered out potatoes and he made the effort to "place" everything on the tray as if he was serving in a five star place,paper napkins and plastic cutlery actually laid out nicely not thrown down as an after fault!I'm not a fussy person so I'm not fussed but when someone takes the effort and pride in their job they really deserve some credit.I do think some people are confusing this branch with the one in chapelfields though,please keep that in mind when reading the reviews!

I visited spud u like whilst shopping in Norwich mall with my daughter, we stopped to grab a bite to eat. My daughter had a Burger King and I got myself a jacket potato with chilli con carne and cheese, really wish I’d have got a Burger King instead! The jacket potato wasn’t that big, there wasn’t much filling on it either and to top the lot it cost me just over £7! Definitely won’t be visiting spud u like again, how they can charge that much for a potato is beyond me!

I visited with my daughter two weeks ago and was greeted by a very helpful and friendly staff member who gave advice on the menu in relation to our dietary requirements. We both had the tuna amd egg salad and was served specifically as we requested. When the food was ready it was brought to our table and we didn't have to wait too long. Overall the food was good quality, reasonably priced and was sufficient for a quick lunch. Most impressive was the service which was better than some expensive 'up market' restaurants I have been too. This was the first time I have been to a 'spudulike' restaurant and following our experience would certainly go there again.

We were visiting for the weekend on arrival we approached a table to be greeted with because it is busy please sit on small table waited for a least 10 mins for dinner to arrive in the meantime two other couples seated themselves on individual tables unapproached now feeling annoyed with this dinner arrived requested coke ended up with fanta orange .... all in all wasn't impressed with either the staff or the food hence the not so good review Minus ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐service 👎

Well, on a shopping trip with my daughter, we decided that we were a bit peckish and decided on a baked potato at Spudulike. The friendly staff and service were second to none. I have been into restaurants and not been treated this well. What a breath of fresh air to have such lovely, friendly and helpful people. We have told everyone about this eating experience with the humble spud and some fantastic people. Thank you.

Me and the boyfriend fancied a spud u like for lunch ... our memories were basic but yummy, the plastic cutlery and cardboard dishes. Well how wrong were we! It has been improved massively! The decor is very modern and fresh with the added extra of candles on tables, salt and pepper pots and little napkin holders. All adds to the experience. The menu hasn’t changed much, still your spud and fillings however they have added a salad bowl range which looked very yummy too (must go back and try!) The spuds were huge, cooked perfectly and loads of topping! They also came in proper crockery dishes with metal cutlery and waited to the table! The whole experience was great. Would def come back and recommend to others.

Now.. a baked potato is a baked potato and really you cannot go wrong but these are very good and good value. They are really quiet generous with the toppings unlike some places. Cheap and cheerful!

Had lunch in Spudulike during our first visit to Norwich. Both potatoes were a good size with a generous portion of topping. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Good location.

Popped in here on Sunday for some lunch while Christmas shopping. Fast, friendly service from the girls on the counter, tasty potato with a generous load of coronation chicken and friendly, helpful staff clearing tables and offered to take my tray. A healthier option than a lot of the takeaways and some good customer service!

2 spuds, one was beans and the other chilli and two cokes = £17. I would have liked a small side salad rather than just a spud but of course, That's extra. I also think that butter should be offered as standard, the potato was very dry. I asked and was given a single butter portion after I received my food. On a positive side, the topping is of a reasonable size. The tables were clean, and two managers were visable giving orders to staff to clean etc. We were thanked for our custom as we left.

To my surprise it was much better than I thought. I didn't fancy McDonald's like the family so I thought I would try something else.

We stopped here for lunch impressed by the clean and tidy environment with space between the tables etc. We both had the deal of the day a baked potato with chickpea Marsala , 2 pieces of garlic bread and a regular soft drink for £5.99 which was excellent. The staff were efficient and friendly asking how we enjoyed our meal etc. Would definitely eat here again.

Really don't think that £38 for 5 jacket potatoes and a child's one is acceptable. Neither is potato wedges for a child's meal as opposed to a half jacket. Could of gone to McDonald's, had meal and pudding and plenty of change!!!

I went here this evening (5:10pm) as I was in town with my children. I'd had a busy day and wanted a quick meal. Unfortunately, I waited to be served for a few minutes watching the staff standing around, when I was told by a member of staff 'we are shut.' No sorry and when I looked online the business hours are until 5:30! Pure laziness. Disgusting service. Will not visit again.

Friendly helpful staff and the food we needed did the trick, but an awful soulless space with a weird smell and didn't feel it was 100% clean.

Visited with my 5 year old and 18month old. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was fast, hot and tasty, and the coffee was good too!! All round win for me! 😃

Visited with my father. He had the beans and cheese classic. Cheese was overly stringy and was cheap and tasted like plastic. I had cottage cheese and chive, filling was enjoyable but potato was flavourless and dry. With no advertised option of butter.

Popped for tea before work this week and had a spud with Coronation chicken and a side of mixed bean salad (a frim favourite, sooo good).

Our first visit to any Spudulike. We had the cheese and egg mayo fillings, the lunchtime meal was good, substantial and reasonable. The drinks, still orange, was overly sweet, and I would have preferred the water.

I always check out if there is a Spud-u-Like in a town or city if I am planning to visit! They offer good value healthy food in the style of a 'fast food' restaurant which is really convenient. I'll always go here for lunch instead of heading to a burger restaurant or similar. Spud-u-Like are really worth looking for especially if you are on a diet or just want to eat healthily. The Norwich store is similar to many of their other stores and offers good value food options in a convenient central location. Well worth a visit!

Plastic knife and fork not easy to it our of a small tray no butter in potatoes tasty but table in a mess as it is difficult to cut

A very tasty jacket potato with a coronation chicken filing along with a hot or cold drink on there meal deal. Approx £5 .69.

A long queue as only one person actually serving, it was lunchtime in half term so a bit poor.

My husband and I decided to have a snack at lunch time whilst visiting the Castle Mall. We noticed the meal deal on offer priced at £5.49 so both ordered a baked potato with a coronation chicken filling, one of the many fillings on offer. Also included in the price were 2 slices of garlic bread and a drink. The generous filling and the baked potato and garlic bread were all really enjoyable.

Had a jacket with coleslaw and cheese. Was a very big jacket with a massive portion of coleslaw and cheese alongside it.

We decided to stop here whilst walking around the Mall for the first time as the tables were all clean and plenty of seating was available . The youngish girl serving was very pleasant and helped with a query of mine to do with the layout of the place. The jacket spud came with a spicy chick pea side and we had a decent drink of tea to wash it down. Very cheap and cheerful and nearby loos made it a good choice. Recommend it to anyone not too snobbish when they want a quick snack that's filling too.

We stopped off here whilst shopping, for a spot of lunch. We didn't want anything too heavy to eat but thought a jacket potato would be great. However, what we got was a large spud with lashings of the fillings we asked for (it wasn't a problem as we didn't have to eat it all..although we did!!) I will use this place every time we are in Norwich now. The gentleman who served us was so kind & polite. Well done Spud-u-like
