Buena selección de vino por copa. Bien de precio también. El Dom Thalie Le Verre fue de particular interés. Comida excelente de hecho posiblemente algunos de los mejores en Edimburgo. Halibut hermoso. Espinilla de ternera excelente, pero lo más destacado fue la lasaña de hongos. Alguien en la cocina sabe lo que está haciendo. Sin embargo, algunas críticas. La mesa era baja por lo que comer no siempre es elegante. La punta mínima a añadir en la máquina era 12. ¡5% sacando bk 219 libras a 245 libras!

Excelente selección de vinos especialmente los productos de España. Personal muy amable. El ambiente era muy agradable y acogedor con buen olor a comida fresca y vinos.

Personal agradable, pero las opciones eran muy caras y nos cobraron inexactamente por el vino que teníamos. Parte de la comida era agradable pero caro.

Personal súper profesional y deliciosos bocadillos. Interesante carta de vinos naturales. Fuimos a tomar una copa antes del show durante el Festival en un ambiente muy concurrido. Puede ser un poco demasiado ruidoso con la música de fondo y superficies duras, así que volveré cuando las cosas estén más tranquilas.

Este pequeño bar de vinos es maravilloso. El servicio es más que profesional, amable pero también muy conocedor. El menú es pequeño y perfectamente preparado platos pequeños - la comida es cocinada por el chef increíble en el bar, tomar asiento en el bar y ver a un maestro en acción. La carta de vinos es excelente, peculiar, excepcional y único. No te pierdas esta joyita.

Muy decepcionado por la actitud de servicio al cliente / gerente hacia nuestra experiencia. Después de promocionar este lugar a nuestros amigos el establecimiento nos permitió cambiar nuestra reserva de última hora de una mesa a 2 a una mesa de 4. Nos dieron a elegir dos mesas cuando entramos y como la mesa por la ventana como más grande, elegimos esa, el personal agregó dos sillas a la mesa en la ventana que estaba destinado a una mesa de dos, para acomodarnos. Después de unos instantes una señora de afuera corrió a decirnos que estábamos en llamas... sí, una de nuestras chaquetas que estaba en el respaldo de nuestra silla se había incendiado debido a una llama abierta sentada en el alféizar de la ventana. Lamentablemente, el personal no se ocupó de este incidente. Luego hablamos con el gerente que dijo “No sé qué quieres que haga” y nos dio un 10% de descuento en la factura. Más tarde enviamos un correo electrónico al establecimiento después de ir a casa y tener tiempo para pensar en lo grave que es este incidente y nos dieron las gracias por no venir a trip advisor sin embargo después de que nada se ha hecho y el gerente diciéndonos que tenemos que tomar parte responsable por el incidente, desafortunadamente hemos tenido que hacer una revisión. No depende de los clientes evaluar la seguridad de su negocio. Esta situación podría haber sido mucho peor y el establecimiento debería haber mostrado más interés. Muy decepcionado como hemos estado un par de veces y realmente disfrutamos de la comida y el vino. Afortunadamente solo era ropa y nadie salió herido.

Tenía ganas de probar este lugar local, pero estaba muy decepcionado. La decoración es muy escasa, las mesas pequeñas y el espacio es ruidoso. El personal era bueno en ayudarnos a elegir un vino. Pedimos comida. Las porciones eran muy pequeñas - lo que pasa para los platos principales son del tamaño de un pequeño aperitivo y sobreprecio. La comida era bastante agradable, pero nada especial. Luego, después de 1. 5 horas nos dijeron que nuestra mesa era necesaria en 25 minutos y nos pidieron que nos moviéramos. Esto no se había mencionado anteriormente y no figuraba en nuestra reserva. Nuestra factura fue traída sin ninguna oferta de desierto u otra bebida. El personal se volvió bastante grosero cuando se desafió en esto. No volveremos.

My friend recommended this we cute place and I loved it! Loads of variety of unique wines that you can’t see in another places. Food was very nice, small plates to share were delicious and presentation very good. Staff very friendly and helpful with the choice of the wine. Our waitress was very attentive all the time. The only bad thing I could say and it wasn’t a problem it was the food service was a wee bit slow but the place was very busy then we could understand.

Very nice but the way food is handled needs to be improved, no correct hygiene when handling foods including meat and non meat dishes,

I arrived on Christmas Eve December 24 from France in front of a closed door I had booked with confirmation by email and telephone, a credit card imprint and I found myself under the rain on December 24 without an explanation, without cancellation without an email, I left a voice message and nothing, not an excuse you should be ashamed

Been here twice now and both visits just outstanding m. Can’t faults thing, from service to the beautifully fresh and tasty food offerings. Just go for lunch. You won’t be disappointed.

We popped in for a drink tonight and as it was busy opted to sit outside. My partner had a pint of draught lager and I asked for a wine - not like a Sauvignon blanc - closer to a bland Pinot Grigio. The waiter recommended the most expensive wine which was a deep straw like colour. I didn’t like it but wasn’t up to a complaint and I had no issue paying for it. HOWEVER when I went to pay with a clearly full glass, not one question was asked except did I want to add a tip to the card payment! My partner took in his empty pint glass and was asked if he enjoyed his beer!! So inconsistent and left a bad taste in the mouth - not just the wine. Will not be back

Such a lovely spot with friendly staff and a great wine selection. It’s definitely on the pricier side but worth it I think. It’s very cosy so perfect spot for a date or a catch up with pals. If you’re visiting, definitely try an orange wine!

We chose the tasting menu with paired wines and were delighted with the carefully chosen dishes and wines. The wine, chosen to complement the small plates of delicious foods - crab, chicken patties, gorse ice cream and goats cheese with rhubarb and hazelnut was a real pleasure.

This quiet and unassuming, elegant neighborhood wine bar and restaurant was a highlight of our trip to Edinburgh. With soft music, nicely spaced tables, and a spectacular display of wines adorning one entire wall, it made a positive first impression. But how were the wines? We chose to share three glasses of wine and the waitstaff were extremely helpful with our selection, immediately understanding our level of wine knowledge and helping us fill in the gaps about the specific options on offer. The majority of wines are by the bottle (with a £10 discount if you buy something to take home) but the by the glass list was ample and interesting with natural, orange, and far flung wines all on offer. We tried a Hungarian Kekfrancos (Blaufrankisch) a French orange Chardonnay and an English rose pet nat. The Chardonnay especially was a bit of a gamble for us as we typically are not Chardonnay drinkers but we tried it on the waitress' advice and it very much did not disappoint. We almost bought a bottle to take home but realised our suitcase did not have room. The food was incredible, creative and paired particularly well with the wines. Although the restaurant does not have a dedicated free from menu we were assured when we made our booking that they could cater for coeliac and they brought us a menu when we arrived with the gluten free items circled. We shared five dishes (Clara had a sixth with gluten in it) including a delicious oat groats with spicy carrot ketchup and leek confit and Clara's favourite, stuffed potato cakes with chicken and black garlic although the wild garlic kluski came a close second. We were especially excited that the pudding was gluten free which is not normally the case. Truly a special experience - we wish that there was a Spry near where we live !

The place looks really nice and the staff is lovely but the whole experience is overpriced… My partner and I tried the tasting menu with the pairing wines and we found it very disappointing. None of the wines presented to us were to our taste. We decided to go for the extra cheese - which was quite expensive - but when I said that I couldn’t eat any goat cheese, no alternative/remplacement was offered. Then came the dessert which was only 4 bars of chocolate on a small plate…. Good concept but really overpriced

Staying in the neighbourhood and walked passed a few times, the minimalist exterior caught my eye and I went in for lovely glass of 2021 Merlot and two dishes, the parsnip pate and cabbage tagliatelle. Clearly run by people who enjoy food and amazing flavours. Will return when I am next in Edinburgh, so much I wanted to taste on the menu.

Had lunch at Spry Wines recently and what a great experience. Loved the calm, minimalist decor, the customer service was top notch, great selection of wines and superb food. It's all small plates, with interesting and imaginative combinations - the parsnip puree on toast was outstanding! Everything sounded tempting though and I could happily have eaten my way through the lot! I'll be back for sure!

What a lovely experience- felt far more than just lunch- delicious food beautifully presented, bespoke menu, excellent service, personal matching of wine recommendation to personal taste, relaxing , calm decor- this made a very memorable, lovely part of the day. Would quite happily have stayed on for evening too. Highly recommend and will be back again.

This fine Georgian shop front bares no menu or signage apart from its name. The large front room comes with a wall of wine bottles for consumption in or take out. We drank four different wines by the glass and I disliked them all, and had to leave one. When I discussed it with the owner he admitted it was a “divisive” wine ! The lite food menu was all Polish with some small plates a hit some less so. Service was friendly but I will not return and do not see this Wine shop/bar surviving.
