Small village cafe. The menu is very nice, not a chips with everything menu. They do afternoon tea and have an outdoor terrace. My wife and I popped in for a snack. We had a soup of the day (ginger and sweet potato) with a half sandwich. Tea came in a large earthenware tea pot (3 tea bags) and a small hot water top up. Really nice in fact exceptional for a small village. Well worth a visit.

We called in when passing. The shabby chic decor is more than shabby, it's filthy too. I looked for a hygiene certificate and was shocked to find it a 5. This place needs another inspection fast. The floor didn't look as if it was ever washed. The skirting boards were really filthy. All the tables and chairs need a good wash. I dread what the kitchen looks like. We ate our food as we were hungry but didn't finish it.

Just had a wonderful afternoon at Spoons Tearooms for my daughter's baby shower. Private function room, in traditional tearoom style, arranged for our needs. Lovely ambience. All staff very obliging and attentive. Delicious afternoon tea attractively served on tiered stands. Large variety of savoury and sweet homebaked treats. Good selection of vegetarian and vegan options much appreciated. Thank you to Kelly and her team for making the afternoon so special.💙 Highly recommend this venue. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We live locally and always eager to try new places with friends. It was very busy but despite this the staff were efficient and friendly. Plenty of tea was brought and the food was gorgeous. The chilli in the jacket potato was not too spicy for me and I enjoyed it very much. The paninis were very good too. We didn't have room for cakes but they looked very good and the scones looked huge. I was told everything is homemade and you could tell by the fantastic quality and taste. A full tearoom with happy customers is testament to how popular this place is and we will definitely be back.

Visited mid week and it was busy so that’s a good sign. Had lunch with partner and mother in law; there were plenty of choices. All cooked fresh, presented well, delicious and priced spot on. Friendly staff and parking nearby. Disabled access is okay on the ground floor (not outside which is upstairs. I believe there are steps up to the toilet. It has wifi if that’s important to you. Recommended, it’s well worth a visit.

A gorgeous meal, in pleasant surroundings, and served by caring, friendly people - what's not to like? If I say that the onion rings were the best thing I've eaten in a very long time, you might think I am damning the rest of the meal with faint praise, but you'd be wrong. The entire Valentines day experience was excellent. I loved my garlic mushrooms, I very much enjoyed my steak, and the vegetables were lovely, as was the white chocolate cheesecake. All in all, a great beginning of evening service at Spoons.

We are locals and try to support our local business. We have been several times. The food is good .Staff are friendly and service when inside is very good. However on our visits when sitting outside the service has not been good. To illustrate the point last Saturday 28th,August we went to the outside area .Sat at a table and waited. After a quarter of an hour no server had come out to us. My wife went into the cafe and spoke to the owner who said he would send someone. after a further five minutes with no one coming to us we left and went to another cafe nearby. We were attended to immediately and served our food and drinks within five minutes. The problem here is that the outside seating area cannot be seen from within the cafe. Therefore there needs to be a dedicated server for outside.

We went here at the end of our 8 mile circular walk and were so pleased that we had found it. We could get our breath back sitting on the outside deck and the service was very cheerful and helpful. Tea was excellent and the pot, after topping up, gave 4 of us 3 cups each which was just what we needed on a hot day. We all had fruit scones which were very large and delicious - warm from the oven as they had just been baked. We didn’t try the cakes, but there was quite a variety and the slices looked quite big. The two who run the café were very friendly and we shall certainly return.

Went to visit my daughter and family today for the first time since Christmas. She had ordered afternoon teas to be delivered for us and it's the best we have ever had. There were so many lovely things on the platter. We prefer savoury to sweet, and they did us proud, but still enough cake for those with a sweet tooth. It was very special to see them again, but the teas were an added bonus, We'll definitely be having them again next time we visit - hopefully we won't have to sit in a windy garden next time.

Came in on a Sunday for my mother's birthday. Four people working behind the counter. We had to ask to be seated, pointed to a table which was filthy. Crumbs all over and pressed in dirt on the plastic tablecloth; not the best first impression.Order taken after 10 minutes, food came out after another 10 which was fine but an order of chips had been forgotten which weren't brought over until I had finished my meal. The food was okay, certainly not worth the £8 odd per meal.We finished our meals and drinks and sat there looking at empty cups and cleaned plates for a good 25 minutes before WE asked if we could order some of the tasty looking cakes on offer. The waitresses must have walked past our table a good 10 times with empty hands. But they were far too busy talking about rubbish behind the counter.Offer taken, table still not cleared. After another 20 minutes of waiting for 3 desserts to be plated we decided to cancel the cake order and pay as we had had enough of waiting, sat with dirty tableware for 45 minutes. £30 for three lunches, a pot of tea for two and a bottle of lemonade. A bit steep. The gentleman apologised for the delay and explained that there was a function upstairs. That's fine, but if you can only barely manage to service the private function, then it may be best to close the cafe. We weren't the only irritated customer. Another lady complained as we were leaving that she had been sat for 15 minutes without an order been taken. Not good. Definitely wouldn't recommend or revisit.

A quaint little establishment located next to Antiques at the Mill in Cullingworth. Everything about this place is lovely except the frustratingly slow service even on quiet days. Cakes, tea, quiches, coffee, etc etc a great wind down after foraging the antique delights next door. Often we have been in here waiting longer for service than we spent browsing next door. Please, can I have my coffee WITH my cake and not hear the excuses! Shame, because, this like many other local establishments, could be little gold mines f only they would perk up with their speed of service. Let this not put you off however and give the nice staff an opportunity to improve and impress.

It’s a small cafe tucked away just off the Main Street (opposite the butchers). There’s street parking nearby. It holds about 9 tables, so it’s ‘cosy’ and can be a little loud. But everyone is friendly, the food is nice and tasty, the prices are there or thereabouts. Overall it’s what you would expect from a traditional British cafe, in food service and atmosphere. So worth a visit if you’re in the area.

However, twice in the last two days I have gone to spoons for take away which they advertise as doing and even have a separate entrance into the cafe for. Both times, I have been turned away because they have people eating in. Spoons shouldn’t advertise something they are not capable of delivering. I’m so pleased that I have such a fab chippie on my doorstep! Literally the best fish n chips in Yorkshire! 😍 They do gluten free fish and cook in vegetable oil, and chips are white and batter is light and crispy, just how I like it. 😊 The staff make you feel like you’re one of the family. Super friendly, chatty and funny! Batter and banter at its finest! Thank you 🙏 A lovely Yorkshire institution with a smile, exceptional food and superb customer service Try it now!

Fantastic meal for two. We shared two of the nibbles to start - Korean belly pork bites and fried jalapeño. Both delicious! Mains were tasty and such a generous portion. Would definitely return and recommend

Brilliant service and wonderful food. I'd go as far as to say one of the best apple crumbles I've ever eaten.
