Rock & Heifer in Bradford

We had our wedding reception at the Rock & Heiffer on the 28th September. From the day we booked Nadine has been amazing, any questions or requests she responded to quickly. The room is lovely with plenty of space for guests to sit, eat and dance and the food was amazing (We asked Nadine to give the bride and groom a nudge before announcing food so that we ate something!) We had a lovely night and guests have commented on how lovely the room looked and how good the food was. Would highly recommend 🥂

Daughters 13th birthday meal, the chef cooked burgers,curry’s,steak for a family of 15, and wow the food was amazing not a bad meal, all the food come out on time together and was piping hot, absolutely amazing work well done will be returning very soon

Great venue ! had my wedding anniversary here and have attended a lot of events, staff go above and beyond, the food is beautiful, the countryside views are lovely and there's ample parking, would definitely reccomend, thank you so much to Naydien, Mick and team for making our wedding anniversary perfect 🥰

We had my mother's wedding here and the staff are all so lovely, the views and the rooms are stunning. It's so easy to communicate and plan wfor what you are wanting and the food is amazing. They also do other functions not just partys. It is such a family friendly place

⛔️⛔️ do NOT book a function at The rock and heifer inn, Thornton ⛔️⛔️ After a very stressful weekend receiving the message from the venue i had booked for well over a year ago to say they are cancelling my wedding as she has double booked. With only 15 weeks to find some where new i asked for compensation to cover the cost of new venue as the price is higher due to cost of living i booked in 2023 and wedding is 2024 as we all know the prices have risen over the years, invites as i need to redo them with the details of the new venue, which is leaving me out of pocket again, changing the route of the hire vehicle, plus changing the hours for the Dj which has resulted in extra cost we have this priced at around £2500 so we kindly asked for £700/800 compensation to be told she can not afford that and not offering anything till later on when she said email me the invoice over for the invites but im not been funny that's about £100 i think that is a joke compared to the extra cost im having to deal with because she can not run a business right and got her diary all mixed up and ruining my big day 105 days before. The date had been confirmed in the message as you can see and she said on a number of occasions I will add that to the diary over the year and she still did not realise how unprofessional. Do not accept weddings if you can not do your job properly 😡 Please share don't want anyone to go through what i have been though this weekend the stress and heartache was unbelievable 💔

Absolutely fantastic!!!! Food is absolutely gorgeous. Curry’s and Yorkshire pudding wrap is a must!! Very warm and welcoming staff. Not a downfall to mention!! Had a function room booked here and the staff went above and beyond for me and my guests!! The buffet provided my naydien was amazing!! Drinks served fast. Such a welcoming friendly destination for food, drinks and party if needed ❤️

A warm welcome from proprietors Mick and Nadine and the locals. Reasonably priced bar and proper pub grub. Nadine serves tasty filling meals that are great value for money. There are regular locals who take their friendly, well behaved dogs along for a pint, so if you really don't like dogs this may not be the place for you. However, if you enjoy making conversation you will get a real warm Yorkshire welcome here. We stayed recently in our camper van and after a lovely evening in the pub we enjoyed a quiet and undisturbed sleep in the car park.. Thank you Mick and Nadine

Very welcoming cosy pub, has fantastic food(curry is my partners fave) lovely staff and great views. Log fire for cosy nights with a drink and food also has a pool table room so no-one knocking in to you while you try and play and a large function room that we will be using in the next few months. Really cannot rate this pub higher!

We visited this establishment looking for a new venue for our Bike club,their is a scooter club that meets here,they were happy for us to use the same venue,food is excellent and fairly priced,good porchons too,we were welcomed by some locals,a good friendly atmosphere,staff Verry pleasant,also a field across the road for camping,needles to say this is now our new venue.thier is also a large room with a stage for functions,

been a few times now for different meals always friendly service and fab great tasting food plenty on a plate. Meals cooked to order varied menu defo worth a visit

went here for a drink/food with my wife walked in to a friendly welcome and roaring fire ordered food which was excellent and fair priced as were the drinks this is a great pub to visit if you have children as it is kid friendly would highly recommend the food

We went here on an evening wedding do , there is a separate function room with a decent size dance floor a DJ booth & lighting there is a separate bar and tables which a large buffet had been put on ideal little venue for any party or reception the funny thing is we had our wedding reception here 22 years ago & brought back memories :) the girls working behind the bar were very attentive & polite and nothing too much trouble filling babies cups with water & juice for younger children and really reasonable prices bought 2 glasses of wine and a tTia Maria and coke for around £9 ! The DJ was also brilliant and played an excellent array of music for all ages and knew how to work the dance floor to keep everyone up and dancing . All in all good nights& good venue .
