Spoonful is one of our favourite places, anywhere! The food is delicious and there are always interesting, high-quality items available (meats, cheeses, produce, various condiments, pastries, sweets, wine, pastas, etc.) We go for breakfast (try the tartine or the French toast!), lunch (try the panini!), and dinner (try a big platter of meat and cheese with a bottle of wine!). It's a place full of passion for food and drink. Most recently, we chose Spoonful to cater some pre-dinner platters for our wedding, and it was even more amazing than we expected. Our guests were thrilled, we were thrilled, and we'll always remember the food when we think of that special day.

A super place which does amazing breakfasts/brunches, try eggs benedict or florentine or the tartine breakfast. Superbly cooked by owner Fabrice or one of his staff. There are also some nice cooked dishes and salads. A very good variety. And.. they even take old fashioned cash, and even £50 pound notes! Well done, it is a great local to enjoy.

having been recommended as one of the best sandwiches in town, we decided to pop in for lunch..... ordered a Panini and a tea - staff were amazing, accommodating and friendly..... my friend was 1/2 way through her panini when she proceeded to pull a 5cm long hair out of her sandwich....! As the shop had customers in, I politely took the uneaten 1/2 sandwich back to the counter and called the waiter to the side to point out this hair so no one else would see..... i said, Ill leave this with you..... So from then the clock ticks as to how they are going to sort this out ..... nobody came to us to apologise or anything of the sort.... When I went to pay, I asked what am I paying for as was not sure.... the waiter called the owner and he briskly rang up a few items and said £12.80, to which I repeated what am I paying for.....referring to the sandwich with the hair which one would assume would be removed from the bill as we never ate it! He replied - I am only charging you for 1/2 sandwich(the half you ate) and the other half with the hair he will not charge for..... I wanted nothing for free - a simple sorry sir would have sufficed... Still nothing.... They tried to say it was the hair from the sponge - indignant that this was actually a gross health and safety faux pas..... don't think Ill be rushing back anytime soon...

Delightful The Eggs Benedict served up by the owner and chef in non-lockdown times has been much commented on elsewhere, but I can second that in spades. He was happy to be flexible and serve this with bacon and not ham for me and his hollandaise is to die for. Brilliant variety of texture and sumptuous eggs. Worth a visit just for this. Do be aware of course that this is a deli-cum-cafe with only 5 small soft-wood vanished tables inside even, in non-Covid times. The ambience can be secluded and calm and I have worked on my laptop here for hours in past, but it is also a thriving deli / coffee shop particularly now Hammersmith Bridge has closed so people come for the fresh basil, chives, courgettes, local breads, artisan chocolates and the wonderfully decadent chocolate almond croissants. In this way it is bustling with middle-aged cyclists stopping off on their routes past Putney and Chiswick and Richmond; local Thames path walkers tempted in by the closed pathway and families and local kids with their grandparents and parents. Authentically French as others have said and French is often the language heard if you pop in and out between customers and owner - warm, huge variety of speciality foods for such small place and organic Rieslings and Malbecs galore - if you want wine and you are local v much worth going here. Warm and friendly service, though in busiest of times one should not be surprised if this can become gruff or moody or short.

Pop in to this little unassuming café. But as soon as I stepped it felt like I was in France. Good tunes and continental atmosphere. My choice of breakfast/brunch is always Egg Benedict and I strive to find the best. Well what can I say, home made hollandaise sauce, made with the finest butter and proper cured ham...just delicious.

Stale food, salty salads etc - hardly gourmet. The most ARROGANT and RUDEST staff you will ever encounter, and the owner seems to endorse such behaviour. Visited a number of times to give them the opportunity to redeem themselves, if only to have their cheap wine (the one good point, and the staff couldn't tamper with it). There is more atmosphere in an undertaker's office. The "mood" is the moody staff.Nowadays, always empty when I walk by, as previously loyal customers have deserted in droves and now enjoy the better quality and value venues in the area, of which there are many.Sad to see small businesses fail, but in this case, it was self imposed.

This cafe has an authentic European feel and a friendly French owner, with the best Omlettes in the world cooked to perfection with molten emmental. Breakfasts are served all day with generous portions extremely good value The coffees are spot on. Today I sampled the eggs benedict which was finer than any I have even had in The USA the hollandaise sauce was hot and buttery with a real home cooked feel . All food here is unique made with finest freshest French ingredients and. They also have introduced me to the finest flavoured matcha green teas which are a rare find. Not missed a Sunday brunch here in months :)

Spoonful is a super place which manages to do and be several things at the same time. They do a lot of takeaway business with freshly made sandwiches - any combination - and terrific bread. They also sell bread, some cheese and salamis etc. If you're lucky and get one of the tables, there is a long menu of sandwiches, omelettes, substantial snacks like Eggs Benedict and two or three hot dishes of the day, for example a risotto. Smiling and efficient service, and no-one hurries you out. The coffee is excellent as befits an Italian owned place, and my plan is to go back there for lunch very soon.
