I was served yesterdays chicken kebab it was warmed up in the microwave not fresh and made me feel sick

Haven’t been here in a couple years and the food has gone waaaay downhill! So so greasy like DRIPPING with grease, my chips were raw and it was just generally bland. Service was average, pretty expensive nowadays too. You couldn’t pay me to go back! Very disappointing after years of being one of the best in West Brom

Be carefull with the kebab...brought mixed kebab here and ended up with diareha and food poisoning for over a mnth...made me really ill and it was def this chippy as few hrs after eatin it i was ill and i had nothin else to eat.

Lovely staff , I came here because I just wanted plain chips with chicken and I got it. It was really tasty and good portion 1pc chicken n chips £4.30. No complaints from me

Used to be best one around Smethwick/ West Bromwich but just tastes plain now tbh considering the prices. Good size portions & is fresh still but tastes plain compared to how it used to a couple years back.

I had fish n chips was disgusting !!! dripping in grease!!! And over priced ended up in the bin won't be goin bk here agn definitely not.

I think this place is under new ownership as i havent been there for a while. Always praised the food here but the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. Chicken donner was dry, normal donner was good. The scollaps had a thick oily batter. I dont mind paying the prices i was charged if the food was of good quality, however in this case it wasnt... i hope the owner acknowledges this review and does something about this

Avoid at all cost food is absolutely vile Chips are usually well under cooked chicken meat smells funny there prices have gone to crazy levels and the portion sizes are a joke and is like rubber save your money and go to a better chip shop there’s plenty around and there staff make fun of most of there customers you’ve only got to check other reviews stating the same thing

Food was great, place was tidy, clean & well looked after & has an area to the side where you can eat in. Prices are about right for the current struggles we're all suffering. Staff are polite & happy to get you what you wanted to eat. I will end on this if you do go there make sure you have cash as that's what we were told by the staff. So remember take cash

Just your usual chip shop, I remember a long lime ago this was one of the best one's around the area, change of ownership i suspect has not improved it in my opinion, fried chicken was slightly off, chips had loads of bad potatoes in them, not sure what frying oil is used here but it's not nice, 2nd time in 2 years been here but little improvement, on the positive side the fish was greasy as hell but tasted fresh, price wise its about average

Had a mixed kebab it was nice apart from some of the chicken was over cooked which I could not eat as it would of resulted in a trip to the Dentist and no salad which I had asked for, I didn’t realise they do a child’s kebab because for the money the size of the portion was poor.

Terrible customer service. Waited so long for my one order . At least 5 or 6 people came and went before me . No explanation given . Even thou I had paid.......I walked out. As I said no explanation for the very long wait

Just collected 2 x mini fish. 2 tinned roe. 2 large sausages. Chips mushy peas and curry sauce. The food was beautiful. Not greasy. The tinned roe never stuck to the wrapping and the fish was lovely!!! Not from the area. But worth the travel!

This is one of the worst place in West Bromwich. 1. Staff they don't have work ethics. 2. They disrespect their costumers. 3. Staff laughs on customer's be it asian lady with glasses or the white lady. 4. Every customer pays for their food its not a charity shop. 5. They make fun of their regular customers also. I will never back to this shop again in my life, because of their staff. 6. If the customer argues with them that why are you “acting weird”, then other staff member comes into action and try to calm the customer, and once that customer goes out of the shop then entire staff make fun of that customer. 7. I am damn sure everyday the staff argues with at-least 3 or 4 of their customers, and make fun of them. #nomorespoonlanefishbar

Cannot pay by Card. Annoying when you don't have cash and you want to order more food. Not everyone carries cash these days.

Seriously don’t bother coming here. Quantity is inconsistent. They have raised there prices and and Asian lady with glasses charges large chips price for a small bag. She needs to go. In the mean time il stick with Junction 1 chippy (opp sportsman)which is around the corner and are consistent in both quantity and quality. Photo added of £3:30 large bag. They have been spread about to cool down for the kids.

Place was busy, which to me this is being a popular choice. On ordering, find they do not take card. Secondly, arriving at home with orders: chips - they seem to be like an ‘albino’ / par cook’ed / undercooked and soggy. Unfortunately due to the distant travelled (900m) by foot, going back to complain was not feasible. Used an alternative location. I have the photo’s to prove this point. - not sure the pigeon’s would take these!

Ordered food over phone and gave time for collecting. Turned up on time but we still had to wait 15min even though the shop was empty. After this we asked if we could pay by card, they explained that they only take cash. Strictly no card payments. (Strange. Tax and vat man informed) they were also very rude to my wife looking at her and laughing and talking in a foreign language which made her feel uncomfortable. After this they crammed all the food into a paper bag which broke on the way out. We never even went back to complain as they were so unwelcoming. This is an honest review, I would use other local chip shops if I were you.

Ordered a mix kebab on a naan bread, with one extra naan bread. Half way through eating we spotted a dead fly on the naan (please see pictures) had to wait 15-20mins yesterday to get our order to not even ask if we need salad. The first naan was also not cooked and doughy in the middle. Very disappointed as we have to come the other way just for this chippy /Kebab.

Got off the motorway while I was at work to eat here because I know the food is quality. Chicken and chips is the best I've ate. But the customer service let's it down everytime, no one smiles, no conversation, no thank you, no goodbye. It's enough to make people not return. Put a smile on your face you grumpy sods.

People often say there's a difference between oily and greasy, well wonder no more.. the chips here are covered in both! The shop is nice and clean though..

Very good food. Was more expensive than other fish & chip shops although the portion of chips with the fish were a little on the small side the fish was big, well cooked and very tasty.

Nice fish bar. Plenty of choice. On road parking, but pub next door has plenty of parking.

Normally the chip's are good but lately the food quality getting poor,on few occasions the chip's have been awful, bought 2 bags of chip's yesterday,when got home to eat them they were disgusting , they were dry, and hard they looked like they were cooked while ago and the taste like eating stale chip's. Instead of throwing the chip's away spon lane chippy chose to sell them. Staying away from here can't trust the food quality

I have been many times and normally the foods good, but today it was the worse chips I have ever had, spend 30 pounds for fish and chips for the family the chips were disgusting, dry, no taste they been cooked a hour ago, so spon lane staff thought let's just get rid of these chips to me very poor customer service. The problem is this shop doesn't isn't consistent, some days food goods others day poor quality, there are better chip shops out that provide better quality

I had to change my review, as I bought chicken wings yesterday and they still had feathers on them and were so greasy. Not gonna eat here again because I feel that the chicken wings are now poor quality and made me feel sick.

Over cooked kebab hard tasteless chips, small portions, big prices, I will give this place a miss next time.

I ordered fish and chips when I got home it was just chips. Couldn't be bothered to go back. Also they do not take card payment.

Just now, phoned to make an order fir pick up, phone rang forever!! Eventually when they answered, I asked how come it took so long to answer, I was told 'we're busy' then he hung up on me...Great customer service!!!!

The service is awful. They are so busy they keep taking the orders but not actually doing the orders. They have lots of staff, but all over the place.It never used to be like that. The staff used be very pleasant.

First class chicken kebab on chips with salad and different sauces. Also curry sauce in a cup available. Small and large fish available and at good quality. Good customer service and not expensive. Tiny parking at front but most people park alongside the road. Few tables inside if you fancy eating in.
