First time I've ordered...though it was cheap...king prawn was covered in Aldi curry sauce..my hands are covered in Tumeric...not going there again...you would have thought 1st time new customer we'll impress but no effort whatsoever....anyone got any ideas how to get the yellow stains of my hands.....

Mouse poo and "sticky" fresh wee next to open food and on takeaway containers was found by health inspectors when they visited a Leicester restaurant. The inspectors shut Spicy Flames Indian Restaurant on the spot, saying it posed an imminent risk to public health. Environmental health officers Su Clement and Natasha Blunt, who carry out food hygiene inspections for Leicester City Council, also found the droppings and urine on and around pan lids, kitchen trays and other cooking equipment, and open tubs of food by at Spicy Flames, 118 Howard Road, Clarendon Park, during a routine inspection. They told staff to stop serving customers immediately, and issued Spicy Flames with a Hygiene Emergency Prohibition Notice, forcing it to stop trading

Website allows you to place an order and even sends you a confirmation email when the restaurant is not open. I've realised this an hour after it was supposed to be delivered as I have made multiple unanswered phone calls. Not impressed.

Food was delicious. Customer service was excellent when I wanted to check in to see the ingredients and allergies in the food. Delivery was fast and the people there were very nice. Definitely eating here again, Thanks Spicy Flames👍🏾

I have gave 2* for food was hot and came on time. I was expecting, being Indian restaurant food would be spicy and tasty but they've used sugar which i hate!!. Mutter paneer was too sweet in taste as well as Chana Masala had no taste was completely bland. I would not visit again that's my personal view, if you love sugar in your plate this place is for you.

It's takeaway no dining. Portions are large and food is nice, prices are low. Lovely people too

Really disappointed. Wrong food was delivered, and without a Just Eat receipt attached to the bag. My partner had ordered vegetarian food and when he called the restaurant, they just hung up when they registered the issue. The quality of the food they delivered was really poor: undercooked, unmarinated meat with gristle and an artificially sweet, heinz-like consistency for the sauce. Dealing with stomach bugs tonight and generally just so gutted by the service. Shame, but we won't be ordering from here again.

I dont like to give bad reviews, but I'll make an exception. Ordered chilli paneer tikka masala as I'm having to go meat free right now, along with 2 garlic naans. Instead I received a chicken tikka masala, one garlic naan, and one peshwari. Tried to call to get it corrected but the restaurant wouldn't let me speak and hung up. Awful service. Not ordering from here again.

Terrible - avoid!! Ordered here 1 hour before closing, 40-60 min delivery expected. Fine. 2 HOURS LATER and still nothing. Can’t contact the restaurant because they’re closed and then had my order cancelled. Do not order from here. Go elsewhere and pay more

Why is it so hard to find a decent Indian restaurant in Leicester? I just give up now. Absolute waste of money. Lamb chops were gristle and bone - literally one bite on each. Tandoori chicken was inedible - the smell coming off it was revolting, it made my stomach turn - nothing like any tandoori chicken I've ever had. Wet and horrible, lacking the dryness and coating of a real tandoor. Must have been microwaved. Chicken tikka and chips okay but disappointing waste of money.

Used this takeaway for the first time this weekend, food was fresh hot and absolutely delicious, the tandoori mix is probably the best I've ever had, fresh very spicy and full of flavour.... served with fresh crisp salad and lemon wedges... absolutely beautiful, thanks.

The place makes absolutely tasty home made style chicken curry..... reasonable priced... food is actually very tasty.... majority of main dishes are lovely... you must try balti dishes or the madras dishes my favourite is chicken....mix ... or prawns... excellent service... they do take slightly longer but its best I'd they take ther time to make food as it will taste better 10 out of 10... I order every Friday night after a few pints !!! Food goes well ! 100% AAAA Star !

placed my first order last night and the chicken tikka was nice i liked that but the lamb curry was a big let down prpbs one of the worst i have ever had it was not even thick was all runny nan bread was ok but i dont think il be back sorry :(

Best Curry in Leicester Taste, quality of chicken, smell, combination of ingredients, quality once delivered, taste of the chilli Naan bread, poppadoms- crispy and non- oily. Just fabulous. I had chicken jalfrezi. My other half. Karahi Bhuna chicken, coconut rice, peshwari naan bread. He was really impressed. I cannot recommend enough. As businesses go. In these tough times. They are 100 stars and I cannot thank them enough. I wish them super success and I will be back. Oh. I had never had mushroom Bhaki before. I thought it would be like onion bhajis. Far. From it. Mushrooms in such a tasty sauce - I can understand why people have it as a main. Don’t hesitate. Go for it. And remember to order the spiced poppadoms. So crispy and tasty. .

Placed an order on deliveroo, they took the money and then called me to tell me I had to call deliveroo to cancel my order as they couldn't deliver on it. I said you are the one cancelling my order, you call them. They refused! Awful service!

I don’t even want to give one star. Ordered on mother’s day. My daughters partner found two pieces of hair in his food! Every time I call up, no manager. They keep fobbing me off and telling me to call back at 6pm. Still no manager. It put us all off our food. My daughters partner felt unwell after. I’m not letting this drop.

I ordered a meal from Spicy Flames on Uber Eats and the tikka masala and samosas was fantastic, we will be ordering from there again

Very low quality food ,expensive ,small portion

Worst Indian I have ever had. Had it yesterday suggest by a friend saying they where good. We ordered; Chicken tikka Balti- which was swimming in oil and I had to spoon the oil out into a dish before I ate it and tasteless, Chicken tikka masala - which was like eating a bowl of sweet coconut milk with orange food colouring in, Keema naan -which was chewy and flavourless, Chilli and cheese naan- which was chewy, had no cheese in and a sprinkle of green chillies, Egg rice - was the nicest part of the meal. To make thinks worse it took almost two hours to arrive and half the oil from the balti was spilled all in the bag. Also 24 hours after eating the food my stomach is in agony, so might also have food poisoning. GREAT!!!

Ordered off Uber eats and never been so disappointed with a takeaway in my life. Only ordered 3 starters. Prawn butterfly was bland and had no taste. Meat somasos were not very nice. Onion bhajis were cold in the middle with an extremely crispy exterior. Do not recommend this place. The only good thing was the tango they supplied.

Order was 25 mins late and had missing items, and it came with meat samosas instead of vegetable samosas - we are vegetarian. I used to order regularly from Spicy Flames, I won't be ordering from them again.

Possibly the worst Indian take-away I've had in years. All curries tasted the same, were way too spicy hot and swimming in only what could be described as sump oil. Meat was poor quality and didn't appear properly marinated or cooked in a Tandoor. Had to throw it all in the bin. Don't bother!

If I have a takeaway indian I always go to spicy flames. I always ask for extra spice or particular changes to the order and they always deliver. I think it's a lovely place, I get delivery and the drivers are always lovely and polite. Good quality food, decent price and turns up hot. The only downside is that it usually takes over an hour to arrive, but that being said - I'm happy to wait for good food!

ordered meal at 18.26 received confirmation of order followed by another email informing that the meal would be slightly later between 19.40-19.55 meal arrived at 20.45. We were both underwhelmed by the food my my husband’s main was supposed to be medium he could hardly taste the spices my main was supposed to be hot I would say it was mild. I ordered samosas which were three for £2.95 however there were only two in the package and they were stone cold to the touch and when we bit into them they were still frozen inside!!! Shameful! While I appreciate this is difficult times and they were busy there was no excuse for the poor quality of the food. I deeply regret spending nearly £30 for this meal which was a treat after a busy week of work on the frontline!

Food never arrived after 3 hours, had to drive to the reaturant and ask for money back, rubbish service and even worse commincation.

The food was really cold, with missing bits from the order that was paid for. Avoid,honestly avoid, a waste of money

Marked delivery as complete 2 hours later, food nowhere to be seen, no calls from the delivery driver, line busy for an hour as we tried to contact them to ask what was going on. And of course, we have been charged for this.

Ordered on just eat and delivery took 2 hours after the estimated time. The hot food was cold , the cold food was hot. The curry 6 of them were 90% sauce and most only contained 3 pieces of meat. Awful

We regularly order salmon curry and lamb biryani. Nans are a dream too. Unfortunately they seem to suffer from their own success as our last order to 1.20min to arrive and food was warm only. Sort it out Spcey Flames!

I ordered a egg fried rise ,chicken jalfrezi , & chips It’s a place I wouldn’t order from again Curry was way to hot only had 4 pieces off chicken Was mainly sauce! Couldn’t eat much of it I got a very very strong taste of salt from the rice! Quick delivery but I wouldn’t recommend !!!!

Ordered at 8.17. Hadn’t turned up by 10. Unable to get through to the takeaway so spoke to just eat. They got through & advised that I had received my order. Cancelled through just eat & ordered elsewhere. At 10.40 they finally turned up. If they were honest or apologetic I wouldn’t of minded but they basically called me a liar after making me wait over 2hrs for a takeout!!

Cannot even believe this happened .. ordered last night, they charged me for my whole order but only sent half of it! And the half we did get was not what we asked for and had EXPLODED during delivery. The guy also admitted he wrote down my card details, when I complained they said 'we're shut now, call tomorrow' £21 for ONE exploded dish!

Never received anything less than quality from spicy flames. It's definitely my go to Indian takeaway I usually have chicken tikka masala with rice, bread and vegetable samosas and Iv never had anything as good as spicy flames in Leicester. Delivery time is excellent and staff are more than polite. This food makes me happy :) thanks

Disgusting! Order from else where! Food arrived ridiculously quickly, which says immediately its been microwaved. Not a problem if done right, but congealed rice and paneer which was so hard, dry and tasteless that I might as well have eaten cardboard was not exactly what I expected when I ordered. I was genuinely shocked that such sub-standard food was delivered to me and even more so that I had paid to eat such inedible crap. I contacted the restaurant within 2 minutes of receiving my food to make them aware, the man who dealt with me was rude and condescending, tried to tell me that I didn't understand what I'd ordered and was not apologetic in the slightest. He didn't disagree when I said it'd been microwaved and when I asked if they could send a freshly cooked one out he said no. Therefore I requested a refund, but when the rude delivery driver came back with my cash I had to hand back over the uneaten food! Yes, really - scraped off my plate and all. As I hadn't eaten it, there was no way I physically could, this wasn't really an issue but I'd been seconds away from scraping it into my bin as never have I been asked to return food before. I don't really like to be made out to be a liar when I've taken the time to let you rectify your poor food offerings, if you had of sent a freshly cooked one instead I wouldn't be here leaving this review, so let that be a lesson in customer service Spicy Flames. Other customers, save yourselves a few quid and buy a ready meal, that's effectively what you'll get from this place. But at least a curry from Asda might actually be edible and hopefully you won't need to deal with obnoxious individuals to get it.

very disappointed with the service....website mentions food will be arriving at 9.10pm to 9.25pm food ordered at 8.20pm and their lines are constantly engaged so you cannot talk to anyone then food finally arrives after we have eaten and arrives at 10.10pm utterly bad service after an hour late then the owner or manager calls 5 mins later from a MOBILE Offering a discount of £8.70p hence the word mobile so they know there lines not working DONT ORDER FROM HERE DISCUSSING BAD SERVICE AND YOU WONT EVEN BE ABLE TO CALL THEM TO SAY YOU HAVE EATEN

Absolutely appalling in every way. Food was ages. Then the driver gave us the wrong delivery but it was so similar to ours that we'd already started eating the Naan and Saag Aloo before realising a lot was missing. So I called the restaurant and the guy refused to do anything and said his manager wasn't there so he's sorry, maybe we can get money off next time and kept trying to put the phone down. I kept him on for five minutes before the manager came on said it was the drivers mistake and he'd sort it. Fair enough. THEN the driver comes back with our delivery (thank you!) but wants the other guys food wrapped back up to give to them. We said we were sorry but we'd already opened and eaten some of it and he still wanted it wrapped up to take to them "because we can't cook more now, the restaurant is closed". I just hope to god he didn't give that bag to the other customers !!!!! The food quality wasn't even great, all tasted the same and was overcooked. Do not recommend.

great tasting food in decently sized portions; they accidentally left out one portion of rice but after we called them to inform them about it they delivered it free of charge and included a complementary drink! and we do love free coke!!! ;DD

Was really looking forward to a good curry but unfortunately it wasn't what I was looking forward to. Half the food ordered didn't arrive so was told to wait another 45 minutes, still waiting! Not happy. Tasteless food and service!
