Had a fabulous night here with 30+ family & friends for my mum's 90th Birthday. Staff went above & beyond to provide us with great food & drink, exceptional service & a big dollop of warmth, hospitality & good humour! Would definitely recommend for a great experience. Thank you Spiceways! You're the best!

Absolute disgrace! Ordered food with a delivery time of 50 mins 2 hours later blatantly lied too saying food was on its way when it clearly wasn't ..why not be honnest?? restaurant staff where not bothered... will be spreading the word about this experience and hoping it forwarns others about this.

Absolutely shocking!!! Ordered online waited nearly 2 hours still didn't turn up!! Very rude staff on the phone. Cancelled the order in the end as they couldn't guarantee delivery. Never again will we order from there!!!!!!!

Gone downhill. Spiceways has clearly changed hands. Some time ago I think, but they must have kept the old chef on for a while. Now I reckon the chef has changed too and the food is awful. I always have chicken sagwala. Last time it tasted like really poor tikka masala. Vey little spinach, no flavour and tandoori coated chicken????? I thought it might be a one off but reading the two most recent reviews I guess not. Need to find a new Indian takeaway as won’t be going to Spiceways any more. Previous owners, please come back!

Ordered online, delivery was quick and efficient shame about the food it all went straight in the bin. Tasteless madras and rogan Josh curries, overcooked prawns, stale poppadoms, watery rice and a doughy naan bread. Would not recommend !

I have been going the Spiceways for some time now both dining in and take outs. We had not been for quite a while and decided to dine in ! I’m not sure but assume the management has changed as the food was dire , the rice was dry and salad had gone off. Advised staff of this however they were rude and dismissed this.

Been a few times and food has been very good with really nice polite staff. Restaurant is never full so always get a seat, price wise it’s no to expensive either. Only had one bad meal and that was lamb, it was full of fat and the staff didn’t really acknowledge this well but I’ll put that down to experience. I’d recommend if your in the area.

Visited many times in the past, loved the food and service. Unfortunately, I think there’s been a change of ownership. We recently had a takeaway and was disappointed with it. Usually the lamb dishes have big chunks and no fat. This time the meat had small chunks and was quite fatty. The other chickens dishes were also small pieces. Not sure what’s gone wrong but a big fall in standards

The first thing you need to know about this place... it's far too expensive for what you get (an example? £4.45 for... Bombay Potato side!). The second thing you need to know is that the food, although delicious, is nothing exceptional, especially for the price. That being said, we thoroughly enjoyed our curry. A definite positive however is the service. Staff are very friendly and engage well with customers. We encountered a drunk lady on one table, but barely noticed her all night, yet the staff still felt the need to apologise once she'd left, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately though, the price is just a bit too much for our budget, so will probably be looking for something else next time we visit.

Bueno, qué puedo decir, había escuchado tantas cosas buenas sobre este lugar que tenía muchas ganas de probar su comida, a pesar de que la gente decía que era un poco caro. Reservé una mesa para mí y mis amigos para las 8 en punto y cuando llegamos a las 7. 45 estaba muy molesto porque me dijeron que volviera a las 9, a pesar de que la mesa estaba reservada para 8 y todos estábamos muy hambrientos. Fuimos a tomar algo al pub de cinco maneras y regresamos una hora más tarde solo para que nos dijeran que el restaurante estaba cerrando porque no había suficientes clientes. . . . . . . . . . . En serio, no podrías inventar esto, así que nunca pondré un pie en esta broma absoluta de un lugar que se hace pasar por un restaurante.

Pedimos una comida para llevar para NYE y, como siempre, la comida era excelente. Al día siguiente, cuando llegamos a dividir la factura con nuestros amigos, nos dimos cuenta de que nos habían cobrado de más por 20. Llamé y Maz y el gerente no podrían haber sido más serviciales. Me disculpé y devolví 20 en efectivo a pesar de que no pude probar lo que habíamos pedido. Realmente restaurado nuestra fe en los restaurantes y sin duda volveremos!

Por lo general, me encanta este restaurante, pero es muy caro. 4 por un vaso de Coca-Cola y 4 por un plato de 10 chips. Sin mencionar las comidas de los niños. 3 nuggets de pollo y papas fritas 11. 5 para naan y 14 para un curry pequeño. Sorprendido cuando la factura llegó a 120 para 2 adultos y 1 niño pequeño. Han perdido un cliente.

Food is good, big variety. New favourite nearby Indian restaurant! The house white wine was surprisingly good. Very refreshing. Will be back.

My wife and I have eaten at Spiceways for the last 8 years every time we come to Liverpool. Be aware that the restaurant is located outside the town center but it is worth it.

Service was good. However, the food wasn’t great. The price of the menu is not in line with the quality of the food. Although the staff were lovely we will not be visiting again unfortunately. A million miles away from Holdi.

My fiancée and I have been coming here for the past year and they never fail to serve us the most delicious food and wonderful customer service. Our favourite meal is the tandoori mix korma- I’ve honestly never tasted korma like it. The staff are super friendly and even the toilets are 5 star with complementary beauty products. Must have been the 5 or 6th time visiting Spiceways on our annual holiday to Liverpool. Once again this restaurant did not disappoint. From the great welcome to the wonderful fresh curry smells. To the excellent advice from our waiter. To our delicious food. Cooked and spiced exactly how we ordered it. All 5 of us finished all our food. Quite a task considering we were quite. Diverse crowd. Our one guest was 87 and heartily enjoyed her meal. No problem calling us a cab after our meal either. Thankyou Spiceways. See you next year

I have visited Spiceways a number of times and had meals in, and countless takeaways. Food is always of the highest quality, weather its a weeknight and the place is quiet, or a busy Saturday night, the quality of the food is never compromised.

I have had a few takeaways from here and on the whole have been ok,but decided to visit the restaurant and eat in for a change, the good points it has pleasant décor,the waiter was friendly, the bad points it was empty and cold inside.My starter was fine, but when my lamb dish arrived I couldn't cut the meat, at first I thought it may have been the knife, but my fellow diner tried and he couldn't cut it either. I gave up and left the meat, the portions of rice were tiny, when the waiter came to take our plates I thought he would comment on the meat being left on the plate but he didn't.I wont be returning.I have never had lamb as tough as this.

We travelled here as a lucky dip on the strength of the review history. It was a very quiet night, we were the only people in all night. The staff were very pleasant and we had a long interesting conversation between the starter and the main course.

It’s hard to find a good Indian in Liverpool I think but this one is now my official order from for take away. Can eat in too as well. Although it hasn’t been consistent I think maybe for all curries but I have found some signature ones that are ace like the passanda I think it’s called. Tried the butterfly king prawn which are ok. Their garlic and keema rice are so good. Overall we really like it just the naan we think flavour wise is a bit of a let down every time. Would definitely recommend.

Todo muy bien y nuestros camareros eran muy atentos sin ser demasiado autoritario. Lo recomiendo si te gusta la comida india.

Christmas get together with our grown up sons, rare chances that they're home and free at the same time and with one being a vegan this restaurant is always a choice of ours. The food really is delicious! Lovely staff who are helpful and especially Naz who is always cheerful and chatty. Atmosphere is just right, it's relaxing even when they're full up. My personal favourite is a veggie korma , best I've ever had , Party of 7 of us who all ordered different dishes and everyone loved it.

Este es uno de mis favoritos casa de curry. Tenía cordero especial sondia miradas plato en el menú. Mi familia tenían cordero y salmón Massala-jeera naga. Servicio muy deliciosa y amable.

We whent here on 16/07/2017 for our ruby wedding anniversary,the staff are lovely and excellent service,the meals were marvellous and a great price,the only thing is it's not wheel chair friendly and the toilets are up stairs,but that is the only downside,I fully recommend that you give it go

Visited on a Sat night with my friend. We have been several times and we love it.The staff are friendly and very efficient. The food is very authentic and totally delicious. we always order too much because our mouths are watering when we look at the menu.Its a little gem outside of the city centre and just brilliant when you want to stay out of town.Good value and well worth a visit.

Just been after a few months absence. Staff and venue really welcoming. Food from popadoms with accompanying sauces to the mains was absolitely fabulous. Onion bhajis and chicken chat starters were amazing. Wife had Chicken sondia which is as the menu suggests very hot. I had Chicken shashlik naga special which is hot. Plain naan play rice and obligatory chips for her indoors. Can't fault anything. Kingfisher beer on draft and good wine list. Well worth a visit. Will go back after too long an absence. Great value for money and close to other great venues.

Staff are friendly, couldn't do enough for you. Food is delicious. The only place I go for an Indian. The BEST place to go if you want good food, good atmosphere and the best staff. Reasonably priced too. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

I've been coming to Spiceways for just over a year usually just having the food as a takeaway. Today decided to eat in the restaurant and I've got to say it's a 5 star services. Staff are polite, attentive without being over baring and the food it's tender and full of flavour. It does some of the best Indian food I've had with the quality of the the food a ten out of ten. The meats are tender and the lamb is to die for. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is modern. With a romantic soft lighting with an ornate mirror adding to the feeling of being at ease here. Even the little extras in the girls bathrooms add to the feeling that you are a valued customer with deodorant, face wipes etcWould definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a good Indian

We went here as my friend is pregnant and tying to lure the baby into action with a spicy curry.Service was good and staff were chatty and friendly-bet that it a boy so we will go back to let them know.Food was tasty, hot and good sized portions. Just arrived home after a lovely dining experience at Spiceways. I had chicken Tikka, my partner had Lamb Tikka, we also shared a couple of naan breads and a pilau rice. The food was very nice indeed, we couldn't fault it. What I would like to say is that it was refreshing to get such good old fashioned service. Wiping of plates before putting them down, hot plates and a hostess trolley. Also asked if we were ready for our main course after our starter. All in all very pleased with food and service. It was our first time there and now we are wondering why we had not been before as we live local. Thank you to the lovely staff, we will be back. If you are thinking of going don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed.

We always visit when we are in the area as the food is always well flavoured, well cooked and delicious. This evening was no exception. We managed to book a table for valentines night. We began with poppadoms and skipped starters as the food is so filling with good sized portions. I had a butter chicken others in our group had chicken tikka masala and lamb sondhia. The butter chicken was nicely hot and the sondhia was very hot just as we wanted. The keema naan and roti were excellent as was the rice. Excellent service completed a very pleasant meal at a reasonable cost.

We live local and go here all the time...quality food and atmosphere. Good prices and excellent takeway service if required. You are not rushed either and they do a great birthday meal.

We dined at the Spiceways restaurant on Thursday 26th January as part of a large group.We were greeted and shown to our table, our coats were taken and hung up. The Service and food was excellent, the restaurant was very nicely decorated and lit, it was also very clean including the toilets.Staff were very friendly, polite and professional.Parking is a bit limited outside as it is a busy road with double yellow lines, there is some parking on the pavement for a few cars.

Visited on a Saturday evening with 5 adults and 5 year old grandson. First impressions were good, very clean and staff attentive. Drinks came with no wait and food order taken. The poppadoms were very fresh and the chutneys excellent. Ordered onion bhaji s and shami kebabs for starters and were very good. Be warned that they contain a small serving of chilli relish on the plate, we liked this, others might not. The mains were a shashlik, vindaloo, madras, 2 bhuna's, and a chicken nuggets and chips for the little guy. The girls had order versions of the bhuna and both thought it a little bland. The other meals were great. The breads were also excellent. The staff were attentive throughout and looked after the little guy. The portions were not massive but just about right, any more would have been wasted. All in all a great dining experience, but guys please spice up the bhuna a bit. We would definitely go back as very pleasant, clean, and child friendly.

Dined here on new years eve as a group of 4. They had a special occasion menu which is exactly the same as normal with inflated prices. The staff were efficient enough but were not warm or friendly at all. The curry sauces were quite nice but the quality of the meat in the dish was not good at all. I probably wont bother coming here again as there are far better eating options nearby.

Delicious food. Very tasty and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is well presented with a pleasant waiting area for takeaway collections. Orders take generally between 20-30 mins even on a Saturday night and staff are friendly and well mannered.

Amazing indian food!We've been coming here for a couple of years and it seems to get better and better. Poppadums are so fresh, meat is always tender and the curries are ridiculously tasty!The food is absolutely outstanding and the staff are possibly the most welcoming ive ever met in any restaurant.
