Spices @ The Greyhound in Harborough

This place is closed. The pub has re-opened but there is no restaurant. Good beer and a warm fire but no food.

Went there for a drink then decided to eat there,We had the Tandoori mixed grill between us and it was fantastic,Friendly staff,Good Ale,Good price,

This was our second time ordering. Friendly staff but very difficult communication. Had to repeat myself a lot which was quite frustrating. The food was nice, particularly the vegetarian dishes but the chutney tray sauces and meat dishes were very watery and hardly any meat. We were actually missing one of our dishes that we had ordered, which they did get one out to us but unfortunately it was a lot of hassle on the phone to get to that point!

We are regular customers and have an Indian takeaway at least once a week as we are a big family. With the previous owners the food was outstanding. Since it's been taken over the food had been very poor. Everything is watered down and tasteless. This needs to be improved imminently.

When the new owners took over the greyhound pub and Indian takeaway in our village of Billesdon the food was just not as good as the previous owners I am glad to say that the last 3 curries I’ve ordered (chicken tikka masala- lamb rogan josh-chicken tikka Bhuna ) over the last 4 weeks leading up to new year have been great full of fresh tasting flavours the new chef is superb 👍

Sadly after looking forward to the opening night of the New Greyhound Restaurant in Billesdon - all I can say it was very disappointing. The chicken pasanda had 6 small pieces of chicken in and lots of watery sauce, the chicken bhuna was watery, the green chicken tikka was very good apart from it came with no yoghurt or salad - just dry. Lastly the tandoori roti was under cooked and inedible. I paid £31 for below average food and sadly will not be going back.

The staff are Spices are very welcoming and friendly offering brilliant service. I have eaten many times in the restaurant and collecting takeaway food, on every occasion the food is top notch.

Visited with a lady friend whilst driving past this village we found a gem mine the food was fantastic felt like a travel through India in the hour we was there. Food 10/10. Service 10/10 value 10/10 Must try if you haven't don't doubt it !

The restaurant is a room of the local village pub which is always buzzing and so the restaurant always has a good atmosphere. Food is good and flavoursome and there is a wide range of choice on the menu. Service is good and staff are friendly and accommodating. All I would say is that the food took quite long to come. Enjoyable evening and will be going back.
