Red Hot Curry Pot in Harborough

Being Indian and not sure where had good Indian food around Market Harborough, I ordered the sheek kebab with fried onions and salad, paneer korma, poppadoms and garlic naan. Great food and would definitely go back for a quick and easy take away. Very well priced and service was quick at the take away. Good food and flavoursome!

Ordered a take out and was pleasantly surprised. Was very tasty and reasonably priced. As a vegetarian I appreciated the veggie options. Had a paneer korma, garlic naan, pilau rice and popadoms. My partner had a meat dish which was apparently also good. Happy to have found a nice Indian place in harborough, will definitely come back in the future.

Never dined in but always had takeaways, the food is always lovely, gets here on time and it is really reasonably priced for the amount you get. Charge a little extra delivery as not in the usual area but their service is great. Best Indian takeaway we’ve had in a long time.

Seeing the mixed reviews on here, decided to try this out. I placed the order online through their website and collected in person. We had Mutter Paneer and Brinjal Bhaji with white and garlic rice, a garlic naan and a puri, for £17.20. We were pleasantly surprised, it was all very tasty, satisfying and at a decent price. Despite the name "red hot curry pot", these dishes were fairly mild. The shop itself is a small area with a counter, behind which is the entrance to the kitchens. It seemed clean and the staff were quick to fetch my order. My only complaint would be that I didn't get any contact from them to tell me that it was ready to pick up, though it was still hot when I arrived.

I am disgusted with the food I received tonight, the restaurant should be closed down. I received my curry and it was so oily, I had to drain the oil into a cup and it filled half a cup of oil and my curry was still so oily as the oil kept coming to the surface, I started to feel sick and had to leave it. I stoped ordering from red hot a while ago because of bad food in the past and thought i would give them another chance but now i vow to never order food from here again. You have lost a few customers now. Waste of money

First experience here. Food was packaged horribly resulting in me losing half my curry into a bag. Rice was over cooked and in lumps.

Very judgemental first time when i placed an order it was very late as well as the food was cold didnt taste right was missing as wel and the courier didnt solve the problem now i placed an order about 4 times and they cancelled it 4 times as well i dont know what the problem is. They was very rude and overall i had a terrible experience very rude service and without a level dont olace an order with this people if i could i would give it a -1000 very terrible experince again

I do feel like it's a bit hit or miss cheaper than most but soon find out why. I'm not to sure about there quality checks or even if they have them won't be returning

The most disgusting place I've seen. No hygiene standards!!! Those who orders food online should visit the place you will know what I mean. Disgusting place!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh dear... Sorry, but the worst curry I have ever tasted, runny no flavour, cold and I counted 6 prawns.. Expensive will avoid in future

Oh dear not used red hot for many months. But thought I’d give it a go tonight just being take away I thought it would be quick. I guess I should have realised when walking through the door two staff were sat there doing nothing. Alas benefit of the doubt I ordered (I’d tried to) but the interest from the young gentleman on the desk dispelled all my senses, as his phone was more important and couldn’t advise on a naan bread as rather pay attention to his phone … I left without ordering due to their poor lack of customer service … he then followed me to my car to try and offer me a discount… too little too late for me.. will not be going back

My order was an hour late from the suggested delivery time slot (taking almost 2 hours from placing the order to arrive). The food was cold. Very disappointed

Similar to other customers! Delivery driver sat in his car outside on the phone to his mate and just wound his window down for me to reach in and get my order off the passenger seat! Proper shocking service

Another that's gone right downhill, used to.be a solid place with particularly good Tikka Massala, in the last year it's nosedived, bland food, dreadful delivery driver with a rotten attitude, overall just a bad experience

Initial customer service good to get your order but quickly went down hill! Over 2 hour wait for food (no contact to advise of huge delay). I called after 1hr20 and told order was on its way- clearly a lie as it took another 45 minutes to arrive. When it arrived it was barely warm, all had to be reheated and food trays had been crushed so masala sauce was over everything. Incredibly greasy. Ruined our evening. Delivery driver tried to leave without speaking to us- no apology offered. Shouted at us from his car free curry on next order- there won’t be a next order.

Ordered delivery, turned up half an hour early and the driver just sat in his car beeping for someone to go out and collect and then had to reach into car for food. Disgusting service

I have been using the red hot curry pot for several months since the Covid lockdown began and ordered at least 6 meals and collected them myself because I live less than a mile away and self-collection comes with a discount. the staff are very friendly and efficient and call my mobile when the food is ready for collection. The food therefore arrives home hot and ready to eat. I was offered and accepted a free can of Diet Coke the last time I collected if I wrote a review! I usually order special rice, onion bhaji, sheek kebab, peshwari nan and a chicken curry like rogan or dupiaza. I've always been very happy with the food and enjoyed the meal and hence I have been back many times. The red hot curry pot was recommended to me by a friend who has Indian heritage and he likes the add a comment box on the online order form which allows him to request an extra spicy dish. I have recommended the red hot curry pot to my best friend.

Excellent service and delivery was earlier than expected. Very reasonable price for excellent food. Tried ther mixed grill and now have ordered it 4 times in a row!

Food arrived late and was cold and tasteless

My guess couldn't eat food. I ordered Madras. They served vindaloo. I asked for a refund or edible food. They said they would come back and take inedible food and replace...... 2 hrs later..... still waiting

Say they're open when they're not, so make an online order and you go hungry.

This is by far the most economical curry purveyor in Harborough but it's better, in my opinion, than at least two of the seated dining venues near by. Edit, I've just had another take away and I take it back... it's not just good for a cheap joint, it's good. It's a great curry. Edit 2, I’ve become a big fan of this place. Tried lots of veggie, lamb and chicken dishes, mild and hot. Good variety of flavours, fresh ingredients, well cooked meat. Not been let down yet.
