Terrible customer service, rude attitude. The food arrived nearly 2 hours late and it was cold!! We will not be returning. It looks to be a common theme after reading the most recent reviews.

Excellent food service, i really loved and enjoyed their food there. One of the workers that took my order over the phone was extremely nice and gave a variety of options of starters and naans to eat with my curry (lamb rogan josh), and has also given extra free popadoms and chutneys. Excellent customer service will eat here again soon.

Ordered food to be delivered. Said it would be an hour, rang up after an hour and was told it would be another hour, when we said this was too late and we had ordered it for a certain time the person on the phone said ‘what do you want me to do about it. I’ll cancel your order if you like!! ‘ Will never go here again. Plenty of other good takeaways to choose from. They’ll have no customers left if they carry on like this.

I have been using Spices since it first opened over 30 years ago but, to be honest, I have recently been buying from Whitchurch which is the same distance and collecting because they do not deliver to my village. I ordered before I read the recent reviews. I rang just before 5pm and was told , quite abruptly, to ring back in 10 minutes. I rang back and ordered and was surprised about how stressed the person I was speaking to appeared, it was a Sunday evening. Delivery for 5 miles was £7, fair enough. The food arrived after about 1 hour, fair enough, and was quite warm and delicious, exactly as how it used to be. My only quibble would be that whoever I spoke to needs to read the recent reviews and have a change of attitude. The food was good and very good value for money but I will be going back to collecting from Whitchurch. Such a shame because it was always the best Indian take away in Nantwich.

Not the best. Balti was all onion no taste. I think they forgot to add the spices. I make much better at home Myself. Rubbish.

Absolutely terrible customer service on Saturday 20th January. We ordered on their website for delivery. We ordered well in advance for delivery at 1900. We called at 19.20 and were told they had missed it and it would be 20 minutes. We then called again at 19.55 asking where it was because it had been nearly an hour and we don’t want to wait much longer and the man on the phone said ‘I’ll just cancel it if you want’ no apology or explanation just that he’ll cancel it. We’ve been going to Spices for years and because of this will not be going again!

Good take away - Sunday deals really good value very large menu

The curries here are fabulous. I have been using Spices takeaway for about 20 years. I would have given 5⭐, but occasionally they make the curry too hot, thankfully they usually include a yoghurt dip that you can douse those flames with 🔥😜

The best chicken tikka with cheese naan

the best place for indian food in nantwich. it hasnt been here for 30 years for no reason. The staff are very friendly and the food is 10/10. The chef has a lot of experience in the indian trade and knows how to make the perfect curry for everyones taste. It is very busy but worth the wait. Give it a try yourself and you wil be back. trust me. thanks guys for the weekly food. Cant get enough.

Absolutely disgusting service. Been ordering here for years. Placed an order and forgot that I have a new number. Got told 2 delivery drivers knocked on my door, which never happened as I was sat waiting for them and kept looking outside the window. Waited almost 2 hours. Got told they were extremely busy and it was my fault, which I understand as I forgot about my new number.Then to be told I will have to wait another 1-2 hours for my food delivery. Then the manager rang up again and told me my food was cold and they weren't going to deliver it. Absolutely disgusting customer service and will never be using this company ever again.

Tried for the first time and will never be back! Delivery took 1.5hrs and when it Sri we the food wasn’t even edible! The worst was the awful rude staff/owner he is definitely in the wrong profession.

Just had a take away as we have had for 30 plus years from here,. The popadums soggy as was the rice and the lamb dish was so salty you had grains of salt in your mouth, I phoned up to advise i had a bad meal and not interested one bit. You have now lost our business and i shall spread the word

Onion fried rice was boiled with raw onions, meat samosa just a little bit crispy but by far the worst was the curry, super oily tasteless slop would be too nice in describing it. Certainly did not feel well after the couple of bites I had, I used to love this place but recently the decline in quality means I will not use it again.

Ordered food and I got the confirmation email and my food didn't even turn up after 2 hours, I rang up and he said he didn't get a order but gave me a refund. Absolutely joke

Had a great experience for a long time then the owner became so obnoxious and rude .. I was so upset .. such a shame .. manners are what make or break a business and he was so so rude such a shame .. I will never ever go here again

Beware the food here was sub standard and make us all sick and every meal tasted the same, tuff chicken and tuff flavourless curry.

Very disappointed, ordered korma sauce, pillau rice, bombay potato, 3 poppadoms and a plain naan bread with a chutney tray, order arrived with no poppadoms and no naan bread, rang up and I clearly wasn't believed. Definitely won't order from here again

Ordered from here for years . Charged extra £5 for cheese on the naan as when they put a normal amount of cheese on you can hardly tell there is any , they forgot onion bajs from previous order but corrected that when I went back last time , cold curries £28 gonna have to start using somewhere else , hit and miss with this place , always something , either items missing or something not to temperature, for £28 it’s a rip off could of gone to a normal restaurant and that’s supposed to be a Sunday special deal , will try once more and if cold again will never be returning

Ordered a delivery meal from Spices after having enjoyed previous meals from them. We had tandoori meals which were tasteless, and the king prawn was all onion and just 4 prawns. Poppadoms were greasy. Very disappointed.

Delivery man was extremely polite, food was on time as stated. Pricing was ok. However, food was very oily and flavourless. Tikka was the neon red stuff I cannot fathom why. Bhuna was ok. Nan was ok. Chips undercooked and limp. Poppadoms stale. Shame as i like to use local businesses.

Most of the food was wet, soggy & swimming in grease. It wasn’t even edible. The tandoori chips which I’ve attached a photo of £4.50!! I called to say the foods cold, most of it swimming in grease & the meat we had was hard as though it’s been standing there for a few days. I’m not one to write reviews for the sake of it but this is BAD. I called up, very polite & they put the phone down!

I have been eating food from here for years. Gorgeous fresh food. Never disappointed.

Waited 30 minutes for chips and massala sauce. Ended up having an allergic reaction to it because for some unholy reason they put peanut in their massala. Thanks guys.

Impolite staff and the food was sub standard

Totally disappointed with the meals nam was doughie and cold chicken tika nam was awful very wet no salad and just thrown together won't be using again never used to be like this.

Pre ordered for a set time around 4 hours ahead, food was late, cold and missing items. Tasteless and chewy meat. Normally amazing but utterly disappointed

Ordered a seekh kebab and a chicken Kori, the lamb was rock hard and the curry was swimming in oil, it was virtually unedable ,most went in the bin .Needless to say I won't be ordering again

My Wife always orders a takeaway Indian from this place. I decided to have some food and I'm so glad I did. The Lamb Tikka Passanda was so delicious and tasty. The best I have eaten. The portion was excellent. Compliments to the chef. We definitely will keep ordering our Indian takeaway from Spices. Thank you and recommended. Delivered on time as always.

Food came quick which granted on a Friday night was good service but unfortunately the food was cold and had to reheat in the microwave. Called and spoken to the manager but nothing they were able to do as the food was “hot” when delivered, won’t be ordering again 👍

Ordered my food at 5:30 (it was promised to be an hour). After 1:45 I rung to ask where my food was and was told it was with the delivery driver. Another half an hour later (1:45) after the order was made still no delivery. Now three hours after placing the order and my food still hasnt arrived. WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN !

It was new years eve and so a lengthy delay was to be expected but the surly manner when we collected our order was not. Also, we were told that a specific item we had ordered was in the box, it wasn't. Spices food is excellent and so for the time being I'll put up with the poor service but there are plenty of other food outlets in Nantwich and Spices need to to improve their customer service or my trade will go elsewhere.

Best in Nantwich. Had a takeaway, variety of dishes all excellent. Star of the show Naga Lamb curry, perfect balance between flavour and spice.

Fantastic food and service, I ordered a chicken tikka biryane with naga curry sauce. It had so much flavour and spice just the way I like it. The staff were really friendly. I would highly recommend to family and friends.

Terrible food and service. The website said 60 minutes wait when ordering food. It turned up nearly 4 hours later! I called after 3 hours to chase and the staff were rude. When the food arrived the driver ignored social distancing rules. They must have run out of meat for the meat samosas. The madras looked and tasted nothing like a madras. It was hotter than a vindaloo and tasted absolutely repulsive. I have no idea what curry it was but it was like no madras I have ever eaten. Pilau rice was ordered, boiled rice was delivered. Spices always used to be my choice when ordering and Indian. The food and service has gone massively down hill. I won't be returning anytime soon!

Shocking service and always delayed. Last 3 tsk away orders have been 1 hour late despite ordering at 5pm for a 7pm delivery. Restaurant staff didn’t even apologise and really rude. Will never use again.

Ordered tonight specifically to get the free popadom offer, I ordered the same last week which was delicious, however I had 3 poppadoms and 3 tiny sauces. So this week I ordered and paid for 4 extra sauces to complete a delicious meal. Unfortunately I didn't receive the popadoms. I did get a extra nan bread? I rang over 1 hr ago to be told I'd get the popadoms in 20 mins, as much as I appreciate they were free, I only ordered the extra sauces for the popadoms. Are main meal is now cold as we've been waiting on our typical Indian starter. Disappointed! And 7pots of sauces wasted.

Ordered curries tonight with Kerman naan, food came, no meat in the naan bread, so basically plain naan bread, called them back to let them know and immediately re delivered Keeman with meat in, excellent customer service, excellent food, thank you

Had a delivery takeaway and all the meals tasted pretty much the same all very mild and very disappointing

Was passing so went in ordered chicken samba and poppadoms ...very poor effort to be honest compared to other curry houses in town ...plenty of chicken but it just didn't taste like a samba should it was quite hot but that just masked the flavours...

Ordered a keema nan, chicken dopiatza and chicken tikka masala with garlic. Keema nan had no meat in and was a plain nan. Rang the shop and the chef insisted it had meat in so in order for them to believe me I was asked...

If you are wanting a decent curry then go nowhere else, great food, quick service and reasonable prices. We had chicken passanda, garlic Lamb and chicken korma and all were faultless.

Visited this for the first time. Ordered food online, that worked very well. Food is excellent as is the service. The meals we had were some of the best tasting we have tried. Quality of the ingredients including the meats were excellent. You can choose...

Brilliant Indian takeaway with fresh food cooked to order. Fantastic flavour in the dishes and the milkshakes are extremely tasty. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the prices are very competitive. I would recommend this Indian in Nantwich over the others.

Had the Sunday set menu tonight and it was absolutely delicious. Best Indian meal I've had for ages. Everything was really well cooked and tasty. We had it delivered to Crewe and it was with us within half an hour from placing the online order. I'll definitely return.

The best Indian Meal that we've had in a long time!

Nobody minds waiting for fresh, hot food. But even though you may have to wait only 20 mins or so, some takeaways can be double that for far less quality. ... there's a tip to other Indian takeaways, get your food from here!!. Cannot fault...

The staff at Spices produce the best curry in town, always hot and tasty with some special menu dishes. we use this takeaway quite often and would always recommend it.

I rang for a delivery a couple of weeks ago it took over 1 hour and half to deliver i chased them several times on the phone and needless to say when the meal arrived it was cold i told the driver that's the last time i'll be using Spices as there are other takeaways in town

I ordered a korma and rice directly in the spices takeaway, after i placed my order i was sat in clear view of the kitchen two staff quarreled for a good 5 minutes as I sat there no apology was made. I collected my food and as I opened it when I got home there was a watery layer on top of the korma, the korma is tasteless and thin like cheap soup, the rice is still hard and has the plainest taste not like normal pilau, I cut into the chicken and there is brown in the middle of it, I couldnt eat more than one tea spoon of this meal . awful.

Well organised and switched on take away., The food is fantastic (no FANTASTIC describes it better!!) and there is something on the varied and diverse menu for everyone. Smart presentation, really excellent staff. Easy parking and close to Nantwich centre. This is a gem of a takeaway.

Had a curry, mushroom pila rice and Garlic nann on Sat 30th Jan 2016. The whole thing was cold, the nann had not been cooked properly and there was no mushroom hardly in the rice . Won't be having anything from there again.

Ordered food online on nye 2015. Very quickly delivered, about 15 minutes but I do live 5 minutes walk away. So, great, hot piping food. But, naga lamb was actually chicken, I can live with that. Chicken jalfrezi was at least proper chicken and not tikka. Lemon rice nice, separated not sticky. Chapattis good size and nice and floury. Only criticism is too much sauce not enough meat but flavours were good. There are better takeaway/delivery places in Nantwich. Probably would only use them if no other choice.

We decided to give Spices a ring, what a treat. The food arrived earlier than expected. The rice was delicious and the chicken tikka balti too, the size of the nan bread was huge!! And the meat samosas yum yum yum. We both agreed that this is the best Indian meal we have had for a very long-time. Would definitely recommend

Spices in Nantwich is a fabulous indian takeaway, it must be one of the best in the North West. The standard of food is consistantly excellent with great tasting dishes accross the menu. The staff are always friendly and helpful with a smile and agreeting every time. I would particularly recomend any of the chefs special dishes as they are the best.

Good extensive menu. Very tasty takeaway (not a sit down restaurant) and not at all greasy which was great. Liked the fact that we got poppadums with proper dips. Reasonably priced too and good portion sizes. I would recommend this take away.

Fantastic Indian takeaway selling great food, service is quick and done with a smile. Order online or by phone for collection or delivery. Free items given with order depending on total order value, nice bonus - we got free onion bhajis and a piece of choc fudge cake for an order of £21. Will definitely use again
