Diabolical. Worst Indian I have ever had. Totally tasteless. Definitely not worth the money. Spicing poor if noticeable at all in any of the dishes. Yesterdays rubbery shish & I swear tin sauce not fresh.

always good. Great authentic menu. Loads of choice. Good service. Only once was there a mistake with our order. This was rectified so fast! Also the replacement had extra in it. We always go back. We didn't travel, we live locally and go there as often as we can.

I have ordered from this takeaway for years and have never been disappointed. Great food, speedy delivery; food is always hot upon delivery, and reasonably priced. For a small town this is a great takeaway.

All he dishes tasted the same. Wasn't too bad or anything just nothing special. We are spoilt a bit though as my wife is a great Indian cook.

I don't know why you're asking for this as the last time I used Spiced Lotus was a year or more ago, The food was bland because it hadn't been cooked in the sauces as I would have expected it to have been, and the containers were almost awash with fat. The delivery service was so slow the food was not even warm. When I phoned to complain, they didn't answer the phone. So I emailed twice and did not receive a response. So is it no wonder I haven't used them since.. I cannot accuratley answer the questions below as it was a delivery not a visit and it was more than a year ago.

Always nice, tasty, hot food, delivery is great, staff nice, orders accurate. An asset to Market Rasen. Highly recommend.

We have eaten from spiced lotus numerous times and with the added ethnic cuisines it makes it only choice. Chinese Indian under one order!! Food is always on time, always hot and great quality.

I think so! Very tasty, and good value for money. Just wish their delivery drivers didn’t block the main road through the town on double yellow lines all evening!

We were on holiday locally and this was only one of the takeaways that ordered to the cottage so we gave it ago and it was probably the worst takeaway, let alone Indian we have every had. It was thick with grease and everything tasted bland and the same. The butter chicken curry was bright pink and tasted of pure sugar. My meal actually made me poorly (prawn dish) - upset tummy the morning after. I really would not recommend this place - Awful!!!

We ordered a curry and a Tandori dish, both of which were pretty bland. The service was good, the staff were friendly, but not very flavoursome food, so we'll probably not go back unfortunately.

I ordered a take away which was not delivered. I was guarenteed a refund, which didnt arrive. I had to get Mastercard to get my money back.

Generous portions on the Chinese menu and reasonably priced. The food was very tasty and well presented.

I was impressed with the quality of the food from Spiced Lotus and genuinely enjoyed my eating experience. There is wonderful flavour to the dishes, and they must be tried. The staff are friendly, and the service is great. Loved what you have done with the décor. I will definitely be ordering from her again. Keep it up Guys!

Good food, no problems with that, but despite ordering online for 7pm, it arrived at 6.10p.m. This is the 2nd time that's happened and I've only ordered twice! Staff obvioulsy not reading online orders correctly. Otherwise fine.

After not only waiting an hour in the shop for my collection (I was told it'd be another ten minutes, waited another hour) , I was spoke to when enquiring by one of the younger male staff like I was dirt on his shoe.I was trying to keep up the morale whilst in the shop with bybeing understanding of how busy they were but I was not a valued customer and I felt attacked when spoke to by one of the staff. They missed part of our order, and only but offered us poppadoms? as a way of apology. (we ordered the Chinese style food, poor apology, I expected a refund at this point). The 'chinese' food of of their new menu they were offering was terrible.They chose the wrong way to go about offering something new up to market Rasen, they couldn't control the business side of things and I shalln't be using them ever again after the p*** poor service I had.They should of expected a heavy amount of orders and done something to stop them coming through - offered refunds to those who were waiting for over an hour!I would like to say that the delivery driver/guy who was answering the phones was polite but all together after that, absolutely abismal. I'd much rather spend the extra money getting an Indian at the gate of India down the road.I have worked in takeaways for many years and have never been met with the service I had there.

My wife and I have had several good meals delivered from Spiced Lotus. However, 10 days ago we had poor meals. Both dishes contained prawns. My complaint is not that the prawns were off, on the contrary they were cooked, but not in the sauces that defined our dishes. The prawns were hard, almost unchewable: they were not fresh but tasted like they had been frozen way past their use-by date. They were stale. In my opinion they'd been defrosted, cooked and left standing around in the kitchen waiting for a suitable dish. Then they were reheated and added to the sauces just prior to delivery. I took some of the prawns, washed off the sauce and tasted them. They tasted of nothing, not even prawns. That's how poor they were.I e-mailed the take-away with my complaint and didn't receive a response. I filed two reports on their feedback page, a few days apart and nothing. Either they cannot be bothered to read their feedback or they just don't care. It's a pity, because they used to run a good delivery service. It may have been a one-off, but that doesn't explain why they cannot be bothered to address complaints. Good customer service is paramount in the catering trade. They cannot afford to ignore their customers.

The last two occasions we ordered from Spiced Lotus we waited over two hours for the food and it was cold by the time it got here, parts of the order were missing too, the delivery driver got lost on both occasions

Lockdown meant that l was doing most of the cooking. I was delighted to find that Spiced Lotus was in business and doing takeaways. A chance of a night off ! We had always used The Gate of India in Rasen and most of the time been happy with the food. We thought we might try Spiced Lotus for a change. I am afraid we were both very disappointed. The prawn dish was bland and swimming in sauce,the chicken lacked taste and most of all seasoning. I am very unhappy with our first impressions of Spiced Lotus. I'm afraid we might have done better with a ready Indian meal from Tesco.

Had a curry from here. Very flavourful and tasty. Was nice and warm by time it got here..... Live quite a distance away and was still very beautiful. Abdul the delivery driver was polite and courteous....

I have ordered from here before, and has been good , but this time i was disappointed. My order was for 7.15pm and did not turn up till just gone 8pm. There was no salad or yoghurt with the onion bhajis and they were like rubber and the chips were cold.

I have tried many Indian restaurants all over the country but I must say Spice Lotus's food was remarkable. I ordered a chicken tikka bhuna and a chicken tikka pathia. The food was top class. The chicken was tender and the sauce taste was bang on.I will certainly be ordering from there again. The staff were extremely friendly and the price is right. You definitely get quality and you monies worth.Thanks a Million to Spice Lotus

We were staying nearby and wanted a takeaway and saw the reviews which looked good so we ordered. The gentleman on the phone who took order said it would be an hour and quarter, and then someone phoned and about 2 hours later it arrived.It was lukewarm and too be honest is the worse Indian takeaway I have ever had. Very disappointed.

We phoned Spiced Lotus while on holiday and asked to collect our food. It was ready when they said it would be and good value so first impressions were great. My husband had his favourite Rogan Josh which was tasty and oil-free. The flavours were delicious. I had chicken tikka and the meat was excellent with that chargrilled taste that really brings the dish to life. Bhajis weren't oily at all and there were no signs of the usual thirst we've come to expect after an Indian takeaway. Wish this was our local takeaway!

You should definitely try Spiced Lotus, you will not be disappointed. Market Rasen has an abundance of takeaways from fish & chips, Pizza's, kebabs, Chinese and Indian but Spiced Lotus have a usp being a fusion takeaway. Don't quote me but I think that this is a fusion of Indian and Thailand cuisines. R'lass had Chicken Korai, something she has at every Indian we go to, you can't teach the old dog new tricks and you can't tempt her to try something different. The Spiced Lotus didn't disappoint her. I like to try different dishes wherever I go, whether mild to Bunsen burner hot and today I went for the middle of the pack Roshoon Gosht. I can't remember how many chilli stars the Spiced Lotus gave it but it was tasty without being too over hot so if you like it medium to hot why not give it a try. We always have the Lemon and Chilli fusion rice at the Spiced Lotus and I recommend that you give it a go next time you frequent the Spiced Lotus. Nice and light, not greasy but with a slight Chilli kick plus there's enough for two in every serving. My chapattis were spot on, still nice and hot by the time I got home plus they were soft down to the last bite.They do deliver or you can collect, don't forget that it's not a restaurant just a takeaway. Delivery wise I don't know how far they go so it would be worth checking when you ring. Overall a very pleasurable experience so give them a try and take my advice ... have the Lemon and chilli rice

Have had numerous takeaways from here, every time they are very good. Never had an issue, highly recommend.

It was a very pleasant experience and the flavours were immense I’ve eaten in over 15 restaurants and Indian takeaway over the last month and this was waaaaaay out in front based on taste and proportion I would definitely be back for more 😂

Ordered a collection, was ready quite quickly considering we'd ordered enough for 7 people. Wasn't too expensive, but we were surprised to see that poppadoms weren't included considering we'd spent nearly 80quid. The food was average, nice and hot, even after a 10 minute drive from the shop, but not particularly well seasoned/spiced. Naan breads were good. Friendly staff.

Ordered delivery and was told would be 45mins, after an hour and a quarter (30mins late) we called to see where our order was - we were told the delivery driver had gotten lost on another delivery and still had to go back to collect our order before going out again. They say they don't take too many orders out with them at once due to food getting cold. Yet we didn't get our food until 2 hours after we had placed the order and was given the original food cooked over an hour before. The food was average and we weren't even offered any money off for the inconvenience. Won't be using again.

Fantastic menu and quality. Always delivered promptly and piping hot. The guys that run this place are always friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Delivered just over an hour after ordering (admittedly early, 5:45 on a Friday) by a very friendly man who had 'invented' the lightly-spiced soft-shell crab we were trying. It was wonderful but the lemon sea bass was even better. Wonderful food, not too spicy but full of delicate flavours.

He won't eat Chinese and I don't like Indian food. So this is a real find!

I came across this lovely takeaway by chance. I was made to feel welcome. My boys loved their food from the menu which I picked up.

a semi spontaneous evening with family to visit family! We had been told about this takeaway and decided to try the food while a relative was staying. have family in Market RaSeN so the opportunity was too good to miss. The food was well prepared and despite the ubiquitous take away cartons, it was amazingly well present. There is a very good selection of traditional and fusion dishes on the menu and we acquitted ourselves well with almost nothing other than nann bread left.. and that was because we were all so full! Even our five year old granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed her food.

Ordered some takeaways, Onion Bhaji ( a bit heavy and stodgy not light and crisp) Chicken Tika on the bone was more of a curry flavor and quite hot, not what we normally associate with a Tika Tika Marsala was ok although not much taste to the chicken. Probably not order again. Try for yourself you might be lucky.

Visited Spiced Lotus as they are new in town and there name is spreading from the way it looks you don't think it's your typical Indian takeaway when I looked at the menu I was shocked on how good it was with all the varieties went for the Indian curries which everyone goes for which was tender in taste with rich flavours.
