Had the best madras ever!! The spices were on point and the heat level spot on. I used to visit this place a lot when it was the shad but it has improved massively especially the service.

We had a splendid meal last night.Everything was perfect.

Visited here in April. The waiter was absolutely lovely and really made it a great visit. Id recommend solely for him! The food was tasty. Inside was large and nicely decorated.

Five of us had a meal there and the food was excellent with great service. Only five stars for the Atmospher because it was a Wednesday and we were the only ones in there. If I lived nearer I would certainly use Spiced Bay on a regular basis.

We had a random last minute visit to the spiced bay restaurant because the local steakhouse had forgotten our reservation. we had visited before and had a wonderful meal so we thought we would return and the food was fantastic. The atmosphere was vibrant and a few big tables for birthdays or celebrations but added to the experience in a positive way. They were very accommodating with our very tired 9 year old too. Thank you and we will be back. Their speciality lamb curry was amazing.

First time we tried this indian and what a lovely little find, didnt need to book got a lovely warm welcome and the food was hot fresh and delicious will def return.

I brought a takeaway for 4 of us & it was amazing. Everything was perfect from ordering on line, collecting it & seeing the polite happy staff & to eating it which was no doubt the best I've tasted. Would definitely recommend.

Just had our first delivery from here after trying a few Indian restaurants around and being disappointed. This was delicious. Lamb pasanda and Chicken tikka main with three sides. All hot and just the right spice. Will be going in here to eat with friends very soon. Thank you Chef!

Although the food was good the service was awful. Very slow even though they were not very busy. Staff were very abrupt to the point of being rude. Slammed food onto table whilst snapping at each other in their language. Made us feel very uncomfortable Such a shame as we had high hopes!

Unfriendly waiters, food bland, disappointing

We visited the restaurant on the 23rd of December. It was our first visit and we will definitely be returning. Where do we start? The restaurant is located in an old bank building and has been furnished to a very high standard. My wife said: "You feel like a celebrity coming here!" The service is second to none, very attentive. The food was also excellent. We have had alot of Indian food over the years and have always enjoyed it. What makes this restaurant so special is the beautiful surroundings and accomodating staff.

Ordered 1 rogan and rice, 3 biryani’s and 4 sides for delivery which took an hour and 20 mins to arrive. They forgot the 3 curry sauces for the biryani’s. Food we received was luke warm. Called to ask them where our curries were and were told they’d send them ASAP. Over an hour later called again to be told they were delivered. They weren’t delivered! They sent the vegetable curries and a side of Bombay potatoes as compensation!! Quality of food was very average and not worth waiting 3 hours for! First and last time we’ll use this place. Avoid! Disgusting service.

One of the bogus restaurants in Herne bay. Don't go there. Food quality and service is the worst I have seen in my life. Non professional workers who are always on the phone while they are serving food. Food was cold as well. The cutlery was not clean. I should report to the health team to shut down this restaurant.

We used to go to this place regularly when it was The Shad. First visit since it changed hands, pleasantly surprised at how good the meal was. In fact I’d say the cooking was every bit as good as it used to be as the Shad. We had Lamb Jalfrezi (which was pretty hot, by the way), Lamb Rogan, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Bangladeshi Korai, plus Onion Bhajis and Tarka Dahl on the side. All of it was really good. We will be back.

The food was ok but the service was crap brought the wrong chicken tikka to the table and when we had finished brought the wrong bills giving us items on bill we didn’t order then came back with more errors the customer service of this place is extremely poor and very unprofessional I don’t recommend this place at all and the meals are extremely small for the price and tables are so small can’t fit all currie dishes rice and breads on the table not enough potion on all meals

We had a take away from Spiced Bay last night and it was the absolute best take away I’ve ever had! Ordering online was easy, you can’t pay by credit card online it’s cash on delivery but that wasn’t a problem at all especially as the website told us that’s what we had to do and the food arrived at the exact time we’d ordered it and they even called to tell us the delivery driver was approaching so we could be ready at the door. There were four of us, one vegetarian and it was all absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The vegetable Korma I had and the cauliflower Bhaji and the sag paneer and peshwari naan was so delicious so a huge huge thank you to Spiced bay. The absolutely best takeaway in Herne Bay Thank you so very much we will definitely be using you again and thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious takeaway! 😋😋😋😋😋😋

Really enjoyed our meal here tonight. We loved the amount of chutney and pickles and the dishes they came in were so cute. The meal in whole, fresh and tasty. Good size portions we couldn’t even finish it all so brought it home. Loved the owner popping over to chat to us, makes you feel valued. Definitely would return and recommend.

Excellent food, great service, decent price and good location. This is a great local little place and I cannot recommend it enough. Their food is amazing, very tasty and highly recommended, they use a great blend of spices and peppers giving it a great taste.

Mixed starter, dry and tasteless chicken tikka, dry and inedible lamb tikka, raw tasting sheek kebab - dry salad leaves. Even the mint sauce dip lacked flavour! All the main courses contained the same dry chicken & lamb, flavourless and tasteless. Service was unattentive, poor, drinks constantly wrong! All sort drinks were flat and of a cheap quality. Our family gathering was great but the food & service was beyond glum. If I could give this place less than one vote I would! WE WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN! NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR ANY MONEY AT ALL.. AVOID!!

Ordered online and paid cash on collection (they offer a generous discount for cash). Food was hot, tasty and plentiful. Very warm welcome on arrival to collect. We used to use this place when it was under it old name and it was good then but this is better in my opinion. We will return. Good value for money as well.

We visited on a Friday evening and the restaurant was very quiet with no atmosphere, after ordering drinks and poppadoms we took our time looking through the menu, when the drinks turned up both soft drinks were flat, 40 minutes later our poppadoms still hadn’t turned up and our food order hadn’t been taken. Maybe would understand if they were busy but this really wasn’t the case. We paid for drinks and left, overall we found the whole experience pretty hopeless, maybe a lucky escape! This restaurant changed hands about six months ago and four of us decided to see what it was like. The interior is very much the same as it was before. When our order came, there was an extra dish that we didn't order but we...
