Great food as always Can't fault this place at all. Red donner is gorgeous and big portions. Chicken fillet was nice too

We called to order a take away. They said it would be 20minutes, we arrived 20minutes later for them to not have started and the chef was not aware. He said it would be 10minutes, we went back in after 15minutes and it still wasn't ready. No apology given. The icing on the cake was that one of the curries was not what we asked for. When we called about it the only response was to look at their menu because it is correct. We looked on the menu and it was not on the menu at all. We called back and their response was "i'll read the menu out to prove you wrong" - we asked for a refund to be sent to us for the wrong curry. We have had no refund and they hung up. Most disgraceful service I have every received.

I ordered a chicken Karahi from Spice Village and asked them to make it nicely. The guy said if you want it made well, it will be 15 minutes. I came back 15 minutes later to the most disgusting Indian food I have ever had. They had thrown chicken into the onion base and that was it. My stomach already hurts.

This meal was ordered for 9 then they changed it to 9.10 but arrived at 8.15 I didn't get home till 9.0 so was clap cold and all went in the bin stars put by mistake

after travelling all day I thought I would take the easy option and order food, I haven't ordered from this take away in a while cos a few times it's been late, but I thought give it one last try, my food was cold and 20 minutes late, time to find a new Indian, they clearly don't care about their customers! All I wanted was food and then go to bed, it was after 10pm when I got to bed.

the only issue we had was the order was wrong. we ordered 2 chicken tikka kebabs and one donner and ended up with 3 tikka kebabs.

Seems to be the same delivery person that's late every time. Usually the delivery time is good but with one specific driver it's always late.

Absolutely disgusted order a cheese burger burger came with no cheese rang up they said okay we'll get one to you right away informed them with enough time before closing got to midnight they answered saying sorry I'll sort you out next time so i have to go to work hungry because you couldnt be bothered wouldnt of annoyed me but the fact they said they'd sort it out and we've been going for years order a few times a week not going back now they mess up on most orders now!&your chips are burnt!!

Delicious food was nice and hot when it was delivered the madras is lovely will definitely be ordering again mostly because of the fact that when you order a curry its really oily but not this

Very happy with curry, but late. I'd rather this way round than bad curry on time.

I cannot rate anymore than on the delivery time as it may be unfair on the takeaway. But, i was pretty disappointed on the fillets being grilled in the fillet burger and not fried as i expected + having no taste to them.. also they were super dry which again isnt their fault as i didnt know. But the things i do know about such as chips and spicy wings, they were pretty poorly done too. The wings were just such a mess (not cooked properly and full of soft & undone masala)(they went straight in bin) and chips were so chewy and hard by the time i recieved them. But again it is just my experience, i hope. Knowing me as a person who never complaints about food or wastes any, the whole order went to bin when given up on finishing this. But hence, i learned a life lesson.. so, yeah. Sorry guys i don't like leaving bad reviews but here it is.

Always gorgeous food although the one thing I was looking forward to my onion bargi s with yogurt/mint sauce was not in bag when got home sauce was but no bargi s :(

Great food! I asked for the delivery driver to ring my phone rather than ring the door when he was outside and he did. The food arrived 15 mins early, piping hot and although the flavours weren't the richest it was a tasty curry with tender meat. Would recommend and will be ordering form them again

Although delivery was on time, the food was ruined when I poured the mint sauce over it that I had purchased from them. The mint sauce was off! What a waste of money

Half hour late so in total waited an hour an half for 2 burgers. Rubbery chips. Powdery cheese. Burnt burger bun. Luke warm chips if that. And not even a apology off the delivery driver even after he woke my one year old son up because he banged on the door that hard. Safe to say never ordering from here again! All in all horrible experience!

Good food on a budget. Hogmanay treat. £12 ish got us donner meat in a pitta, chicken biryani, garlic naan, onion bahjis, poppadoms. Not greasy at all and full of flavour. Fed 3 comfortably. We'll be ordering again for sure.

Really disappointed with spice village. Not only did I have to wait just short of 2 hours for my food but when I finally got it my chips weren't cooked and the whole order was cold, my chicken masala was swimming in oil and looked nothing like a masala.

Food was alright as normal but to wait just short of 2 hours for it was ridiculous. When I called up they said they'd send it shortly, that was after an hour and half! Doesn't help when the restaurant is only a stones throw away from my house so how it was to take 2 hours I have no idea?

We were visiting our friends at Had Edge and they ordered a Indian take away. I was quite impressed with the quality and quantity of the food and delivery service. I would recommend this nice take away to those who love a bit of Spice. Economical rates and also.

First (and last) time ordering from this place. Ordered a lamb madras and a Special Naan Kebab. The kebab arrived cold, and the lamb madras was not a madras at all. It was very mild and tasted quite bad. Would not order from here again. The driver was nice enough but I did not order from here to make friends with a delivery driver, sorry, I ordered food.

Well normally i wouldnt write a review but most of the food we threw away as it was over greasy and un edible

We ordered a special burger which is support to have donnor meat cheese pineapple and onions on and recieved a cheese burger so wasn't happy with that. And we ordered a rogan Josh which was disgusting barely any sauce to it wouldn't even feed it to a dog. Was not happy with this meal at all what a waste of about £14 safe to say I won't use this take away again

We ordered over a hour and 15minuites ago and still not recieved anything when it stated 40minuites.

We were visiting family friends at Huddersfield and the slice village delivered a nice meal in the evening. The rotis, starters and main dishes were nice. It was like having a proper Indian meal. If there are some harsh reviews about this, its because donot expect a quality curry at a traditional pub. Buy what is best from them. I recommend this Indian take away.

Vegetarians generally have enough teeth not to require baby food-style portions, a fact lost on Spice Village. Not poisonous, just very average!

Always lovely & tasty! My first choice everytime

Decided to try these guys as I live fairly local. I've had curries from them in the past and they've been perfectly fine. This time though I thought I'd try one of their pizzas. I settled for a BBQ chicken pizza with onions and sweetcorn. - it was nice to see somebody use BBQ sauce for the base rather than just chucking chargrilled chicken on a margarita and claiming it's BBQ. Unfortunately here's where the positives stop... The base was absolutely horrid. It resembled more of dried up crumpet than any pizza dough I've ever seen. The chicken was lost in the sauce somewhere and the onions were white - red onions on pizzas, white in curries! My stomach is now doing more summersaults than the Chinese state circus...

I am absoloutly furious at the order i just recieved it come a hour and 10 minuites late the food wasnt even in a bag, the kebab was freezing and chips was in with the kebab like someone has been eating my food ... im very dissapointed about this ... the delivery guy told me hed forgot to deliver our food asked if weve ordered when my door clearly says 69 and went back to his car for a further 5 mins and brought it back like that...

I've ordered from Spice Village a few times. Their food is always very good, and delivered quickly. I have never had any reason to complain, I definitely prefer their food over food from other local takeaways.

Pizza was thrown together and I'm unsure if it was real cheese (cheese slices?! come on!), tasted more of the oven than a pizza and the tomato sauce was dubious. Additional information was ignored, asked for chilli sauce separate to the kebab, nope, we got it splattered all over everything. At least the coca-cola was actually coca-cola. I do wonder if takeaways serve worse food on the weekend.

Naan wasn't cooked properly bit into it and stilly floury and doughy on the inside. Curry wasn't too great either ordered a vindaloo (extra extra hot) and it came very greasy and runny and tasted creamy!! Never go there again!

my chicken bhuna was so full of grease i couldnt eat it and it hardly had any flavour, i also ordered burger and chips, the chips were undercooked and soggy wont be ordering from here again!!

Delivered in the time stated and all the food was fantastic. Really well cooked, high quality and not at all greasy! (And we sampled across the menu). Highly recommended and will definitely order again.

After 4 phone calls it took 1 1/2 hours to be delivered. The quality of the food was also substandard.
