Food no good and when i said about the curry i had they then aqusied me of wanting a free meal.I was so embarised would eat again and tell people we know

As a regular 2 times a week customer for the last 10 years Wass horrified at the food served. Ordered a set meal for 2. The chicken tikka starter as pale as raw chicken with crunchy uncooked onions. Lamb korai crunchy undercooked lamb which apparently was the same lamb all customers had all evening without any complaints. Chicken tikka massala again undercooked and dry hard chicken. Worse curry I've ever had, told management and was told if I don't like it go somewhere else. Only edible food out of the meal was the meat samosa which I presume are premade and heated when ordered. After being a customer for so long and very regular would've thought I'd be treated a bit better and maybe changed the food but after being told off I don't like it to go somewhere else obviously not... was there a while ago for a family meal which was tasteless and told the staff who promptly said don't worry, came back with salt and threw it all over all of our dishes and said that should be OK now. Will never use again or give them a penny of my hard earned money for this treatment again. Terrible service and very hit and miss if you'll get something edible

As always the food was great. Tasty, hot. But I must just highlight the fact that we paid a 15% service charge with I think is extortionate. Especially as the Service was mediocre to say the least. I’d much rather calculate my own tip…But I again must also highlight that the food was delicious. Just a shame about the service charge.

Group of us on a Monday night, restaurant was very quite but got say food was very good. Prawn purée and onion bahji excellent , chicken tikka was so good. Service was good. A really nice evening. No alcohol on sale but restaurant happy for you to bring your own

As a treat for Fathers Day our son took us out for dinner rather than getting a takeaway. BIG MISTAKE. We decided to choose from their banquet deal which would ordinarily be a good deal. Starter, Main, Side and either rice or naan. The service was very very slow, not even the usual popadom request as you sit down. We ordered our food and waited not too long. Two starters came out, I thought far enough mam only has two hands. I waited for mine finally my son asked the whereabouts of my starter to be told I didn’t order one. Rubbish! Very quickly my Chicken Chat arrived boiling hot, as if zapped in microwave, no juice at all and very limp shredded lettuce. It tasted horrible no flavour at all, my son tried it and said the same. Over three quarters of that went back.the other two starters were great. Mains arrived. Chicken Balti for my husband, ok ish. Chicken Rossini for my son, not brilliant but sort of ok not a lot of flavour. I ordered Chicken Korahi, my favourite, it was disgusting no flavour at all. Not a hint of spice just onion and lots of grease. The chicken was red like tikka, I just couldn’t eat it. When the waiter asked if everything ok I told him about my food he wasn’t very happy and took it away. The sides were good I wish I’d chosen my sag paneer as a main. Over half of each main was left and nearly all the okra was left. We never leave that quantity of food. The bill arrived quickly with no reduction for my horrible dinner and they added service charge!! WONT BE GOING BACK. HOW I WISH ID TAKEN PHOTOGRAPHS

This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes and beautiful presentation. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

Take away cold with lots of hair, when we phoned up very abusive and calling us liar's. Nice people to get a curry from after getting curries for 30 years from there very disappointing

Just enjoyed a wonderful final pre-lockdown dinner - fabulous food, excellent service, and very good value. Our last meal for a while - but we will be back for takeaway now we've discovered this gem.

Excellent service great atmosphere, friendly staff. The food is delightful, i've tried many restaurants in the area but was recommended by friends to try this place out....after eating somewhere for 10 years, this place is very welcoming! We was sat near the window, its like a booth itself, nice and intimate setting. Good company and comfortable seating arrangement. They really do follow the Corona guidelines and the chef has won an award for his food! Defo recommend this place!

Ate here with a friend in the first week back after coronavirus. Lovely, modern interior, cool decor, minimalist and modern. Socially-distanced dining was absolutely fine. Tables spaced out, waiters in masks, hand sanitiser as you come in. Had some great dishes, meat and veg. Naan is lovely. Highly recommended.

I've eaten here many times with family and also with friends, so when meeting up with friends on Friday this was a natural choice. It turns out we made a big mistake, we waited a while to be given menus and have our drinks order taken, our waiter was stony faced and down right miserable. Several of our party commented on his dismissive and rude attitude. Although the food was good, it wasn't up to the usual standard and due to the waiter we ate and left pretty quickly. We elected not to pay the full 'suggested service charge' as we all felt very unwelcome and almost an inconvenience to the staff. On leaving we were not wished a good evening,neither was the door opened for us (which is the usual procedure). We will not be returning any time soon.

Been a returning customer at the Ruislip Tandori, which is now closed. Have now - after much searching - found this place who makes food that I really enjoy. Their food is excellent and I highly recommend it. Give it a try.

I had come down to this restaurant with my family from Hounslow and we come to the Manor often, we couldn’t believe how beautiful the atmosphere was and the food was perfection!

I haven’t ordered from here before but after reading some of the better reviews we thought we would give it a go. BIG mistake. Such rude staff on the phone, they couldn’t be bothered to help at all. Food wasn’t that great either. I would avoid.

My local curry house in Ruislip closed down after 35 years owner retired we are curry lovers eaten every Indian Restaurant in Ruislip or get take away not impressed with any but eaten in Spice 4 times Takeaway about 9 times we couldn’t find any fault service was excellent food excellent recommend to try.

Very disgusted with the attitude of the staff and manager regarding my home delivery which arrived half complete and the remaining order never arrived. Thieves, very rude on the phone dismissed us on the phone and felt very violated. Avoid them at all costs. We will never order from this tin pot reasturant again and will letting others of our poor experience.

What a pleasure to dine here. Dropped a friend home and he said that he'd heard Spice was good but had never been there despite living close by. I'm sure he will be back - and I will next time in the area.The staff are so polite - I cant remember being referred to as "sir" so many times at a restaurant for a very long time.The food was well presented - napkins which were decoratively folded into a napkin holder on a plate were removed by the waiter, uncurled and placed across the lap.The dinner plates had the "Spice" logo and were properly placed and turned so that the logo was at the "ten o'clock" position - just another professional touch.Food was generous and tasty. Not able to comment about the drinks as we both had soft drinks. But popadoms, main with rice and naam bread and soft drinks came to £41 - just over £20 each. Possibly a touch on the high side - but taking into account the quality of service and quality of food I have no complaints.And leaving the restaurant the waiter stood by the door, opened it and it was a polite "goodnight sir" to each of us as we left.Well done.

Went tonSpice for a meal for my partners birthday been twice already this year. This was the worst visit to a restaurant ever, staff were rude and made us feel unwelcome. Family had travelled from Basildon and Harlow for celebration so was embarrassing how badly we were treated. The staff took plates away whilst people still eating, were generally rude when speaking to us, told my daughter if she wanted to take her uneaten food away she had to package it up herself, we laughed thinking he was joking but he told her that he would bring box. We told him this wasn’t acceptable and he snatched her plate and curry bowl and stormed off, to bring container back and just drop on table. I just struggled with being made to feel unwelcome.

Excellent restaurant with a wide menu choice. Friendly service and fine food too. Always quiet on a Monday when we visit but that does not detract from the welcome and ambiance.

i booked a table for eight during the week for the 9th march today. ws went to the resturant and he did not have our booking down. i come to spice on a regular basis no apologises from the manager he waz over booked and turn us away if you ring a resturant you should have competent staff to write the bookings down. i thought the manager would apologise for the error by his staff no apologies

my friend recomend spice to us lovely setting lovely food taste perfect and lovely polite waiting staff who could do enough for you. whenever i go to spice i have lovely food and great service. i highly recomend this resturant will be going there again

Recommended by friends who go there regularly. We had a variety of dishes, and they were all tasty, starters / mains / side dishes. We will definitely be going there again, whether to eat in or get a take away.

We found this gem of a restaurant some time ago and are regularly customers. The owner is a cultivated gentleman with a distinctively courteous manner. All the staff are well drilled and the service is agreeably excellent. As an experienced curry diner (globally!) this restaurant always hits the spot! The food is an alpha rating. I can highly recommend this establishment without the slightest reservation.

Always enjoy coming here as the food is always superb and the service very good too. I try to have a different dish each time and I'm never disappointed. Each course was tasty and fresh. The only thing I don't like is that diet coke always seems flat as if out of a plastic bottle that's been open for a while, suggest you get cans instead.

Only Indian restaurant in Ruislip Manor at the moment but was a bit disappointing. Dhansak was so sweet could have been a dessert! Eep bugging you for drinks when your glass still half full. Missing a trick here as no competition as Elachi shut down and Rajdoot being renovated.

The restaurant is busy even on a Monday and that’s always a good sign. The food is a lovely and creamy. I always look forward to a visit. The staff don’t push the papadums and Nan breads which is always a bonus. Enjoy.

Went here for the first time on Saturday in our search for a good Indian restaurant as ours closed down a year ago and have been trying others since,. This was excellent now found our new Indian restaurant, we live in Harrow so a bit of a drive but worth it as food was just to our taste.

Food was OK. Nothing special. Lovely atmosphere, but found the staff just wanted us to order more than we wanted. Constantly asking if we wanted this or that. Wouldn't NOT recommend the place as it wasn't terrible but compared to other places. It wasn't great for what your paying.

As a couple we mainly visit different indian restaurants as it's both our favourite cuisine. The curry was OK but nothing amazing. We both found the waiters slightly pushy with ordering food and just in general found we wasn't welcomed like other restaurants we've visited before. So all in all lovely decor. Curry was decent but the atmosphere for myself personally didn't cut it. Also a service charge was added to our bill which I'm really not a fan off as I always like to leave a tip but due to the service charge we didn't.

Went here after being recommended. Had a starter of lamb tikka which consisted of four chewy pieces of lamb and then a main of Firey chicken which had no flavour and was just hot.... Drinks were so overpriced had a small coke which was flat and priced at £2.20 and a large soda water which I questioned at £3.60. They did offer a complimentary drink of choice at the end of the meal which was a nice touch. Will not be returning

Both staff and manager were very rude very unprofessional in there job and I would not recommend going to eat here even if the food was free!

As a stranger to the area, spice was a great find for my birthday meal. I had the chicken chat to start, and chicken madras as a main. Both were delicious. Staff were friendly and service was nice and quick. I hope I am able to return one day for another brilliant curry.

We dined here late on Friday night and the restaurant was fairly quiet – unusual for this place. This restaurant has simple and very attractive décor, with relaxing lighting and attractive mirrors and pictures. The tables on one side are in little cubicles and this really helps keep the atmosphere intimate and prevents noise becoming too much.

Love going to spice for an Indian, I much prefer it to Rajdoot. It's smaller and more intimate plus the food is better. The staff are always friendly and funny. Wines are good and so are the prices. I recommend the chicken tikka pieces!

Booked a table for my brothers 50th birthday celebrations with 16 friends and relations.A total shambles with a lack of staff,poor service having waited nearly 2 hours for the meals to arrive at the table.One of the guests was also served his meal when everyone else were almost finished there own meal.We did complain and were offered the bill for drinks only.Within the group were individuals who have used this restaurant for years both as a takeaway and sit down meals at the restaurant - after this experience we will not be returning with the night ruined on what should have been a celebration turned out to be a disaster.It's a pity as the food is good but the restaurant has lost a lot of business owing to this experience

Lovely meal, curry was delish and so was the naan and Bombay is potatoes. Great customer service, very friendly and nothing is too much. Definitely recommend and will be going back in the future.

Use this regularly and honestly can say one of the best curries in West London,staff friendly and really helpful - you are made to feel at home and they do not rush you - cannot fault this restaurant.

Had a night out for a family birthday. Age range from 18 to 55. Always good quality food and great service.

This restaurant has been many Indians over the years and has always been the sme mediocre big standard westernised curry - a bit boring and predictable but saying that the standard never drops - the menu features all the old favourites again predictable and they will try and accommodate if you have any particular requests or food allergies. The staff are very nice the price is reasonable you just have to come with the expectation that the food will not blow your mind. It is always packed so best to book in advance.

A very nice curry and very friend staff.The menu was comprehensive with a very good selection. I had a Jalfrieza as it was pretty spicy but you could still taste the other ingredients.

Booked table for Father's Day 19 th June rang spice up and asked for a table at 6 staff asked if we can do 6.20 . I said ok that's fine he said we will have big circle table . Got to restaurant 6.20 walked in restaurant both round tables had people on them asked staff where our table is he said we gave it away not even apology . Used to eat there few times will never step foot in restaurant ever again total disgrace how to run restaurant

Went there a friday evening which at first was quiet empty (but ended up being very full when I left). Was greeted by a very polite waiter who like the rest of the team were wearing a traditional Indian uniform. Just always enjoy the small details) I then ordered Balti chicken tikka, peswari naan and tap water. Waited around 15.min and as starter I got some pappadums so I didn't really mind waiting that much. Very very delicious and enjoyable food. Not too spicy which I enjoy. Couldn't eat it all so was allowed to take it home for my lunch the next day and it was still tasting delicious would surely recommend

You will find all the favourites on the menu plus some specialities I have not previously come across.Complimentary drink at the end was a very nice touch.Great place to come with friends or family as the restaurant has booths and a layout that encourages meeting whilst eating! i have lived in ruislip for 15 years and have gone to many of the tandooris in the area and surrounding area but always find myself preferring Spice. The restaurant is a small family run business and they take pride in everything. The cost is very reasonable too. reasons for my enjoyment of spice and 10/10 restaurant-Service- is very polite, well mannered, patient, courteous, and welcoming. Food-Large reasonable portions which are truly well presented on hot plate with large table space to spread out food. The food is always at the right temperature and truly delicious. Drinks- Always spot on and served to expertise. Restaurant-Well air conditioned/heated, great entertainment, very clean and maintained. overall always pleased. the lil drink on the house at the end is always a nice touch:) definitely my tandoori for life

Have visited Spice many times. Food always lovely as are the staff. Who are always helpful & patient with a large group of us. Though this time it took them a long time to take our order as they were busy. So didn't get our food until nearly 1 1/2 hours after arriving. Having said that, they don't rush us to leave. And will be going back for sure!

Very enjoyable food and good atmosphere. It's like an older style type curry house rather than many of the contemporary ones you see more of now but in a positive way. Service very good although rather pushy at times in trying to get you to have more drinks etc , although that's business I suppose. Overall a good meal and yes we would return.

A large group of us met up for a friend's leaving do. The table was ready when we arrived and they stayed open late for us.All the food was well received and they were very efficient. My friend in a wheelchair does not like spicy food so they allowed him to bring in food from another restaurant!

Had a meal here with friends last night. The service, although quite slow, was friendly. We did have to wait almost an hour for our mains to arrive, but it was rather busy. The food itself was very well cooked, with a very good use of spice, and full of flavour! We had several side dishes between us, to accompany our individual meals, and none of them were oily and greasy like you find in many curry houses. Good food, definitely go again sometime.

We love Spice and use it all the time but sometimes you just have a curry that knocks the socks off of any others you've had. I had Lamb Rogan and my husband had Chicken Tikka Rojothi. Both were cooked to perfection! Best curry house in Ruislip

Ruislip is not short of Curry houses and this has always been one of the better ones on offer. The staff are friendly and very accommodating; they're faultless. The only problem was the food didn't live up to the high expectations set by previous visits.

We regularly order our meals from here and have been doing so for years. We have never had a bad curry. In my opinion Spice beats all the other curry houses in Ruislip hands down for both the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff

Hi,I'm regularly order from spice as the food is very nice and never have been disappointed. On this occasion I order the same order that I normally do. When the food arrived I was missing 1x rice which wasn't a massive deal as I called them back to explain that they have misplaced the item. As this was a error on their side I assumed they would deliver the rice straight awry, they did deliver within 10 mins then expected me to then pay on the error they have made which I thought was a complete joke. So I said forget it and take it back! The point of this I have been a regular customer and as they messed up I thought a good deed would of been given, but no just money as normal,Work of advise a business will always do well if you look after you regulars when you have messed up there order.

Visit SPICE and try their special biryani. It's the best biryani around. We eat there whenever we are in the area.

I have previously dined here with friends in the evening and have been impressed with the food and service so brought my son along for him to try it out. I cannot fault the food, service or value. Food was good, service was quite poor. Think it has the potential to be good but gets many of the small things wrong and feel as though they are cutting a lot of corners. Better curry's to be had in V5 and the Raj Doot IMO.

This is my local Indian, and I frequently go with 2 Asian friends for a meal. The staff are lovely and will change a dish to suit you, it you want it hotter, or less spicy they will accommodate. Nice friendly atmosphere, good quality food, and lovely staff

Spice in Ruislip Manor is by far the best Tandoori Restaurant in the area. I am a passionate curry diner - at least once per week - and this restaurant ticks all the boxes.The owner and staff are incredibly polite, welcoming and agreeable - and always there is a complimentary drink on the house. The meals are interesting and different from other restaurants.Many interesting visitors dine there - including our London Mayor and Member of Parliament for South Ruislip & Uxbridge, BORIS ! Booking is advisable at the weekend.

I had a takeaway from here last week, i was unfortunately provided a very unsatisfying meal. I don't like leaving restaurants bad reviews, but it was really not good. The food was just about warm and very oily, did not taste nice. I do plan to visit the restaurant and give them an opportunity to make it up to me before i make up my mind. But on this occasion, the takeaway was very poor.

Enjoyable night for a friend's dad 70th birthday. We had a table of ten which were served all at the same time. The food had nice flavours, overall, everyone enjoyed their food.

We have tried all of the local Indian restaurants and in my view this is the best. The staff are friendly without being too attentive. The menu is interesting and extensive with some lovely dishes. The portions are very generous and the quality second to none. A great meal out!

Great food, attentive service cosy atmosphere! Can't fault a thing, and beautiful white table cloths.. I DO love a tablecloth The best in Ruislip Manor without a doubt
