Anikas changed ownership in 2019, 20 years after opening in 1999. Unfortunately the new owners post 2019 have ruined the place due to poor food quality and slow service. More recently they have been closed down due to health and safety issues. The shop is currently being revamped and reopened by the original 1999 owners so keep an eye out.

Order food via Just Eat at 6:45pm - arrival time given as 7:45pm. Waited and arrival time adjusted to 7:45 - 8:00. At 8:10 the app stopped giving updates or tracking and told me to ‘Enjoy my food’ Started calling restaurant at 8:10 - no answer - called over and over again and just kept ringing and ringing with no answer. At 8:45 I finally gave up and placed and order with another restaurant. Still no sign of any good or a response to my phone calls. DON’T USE THIS RESTAURANT

4th September 2023 - I just placed an order with this restaurant through Deliveroo well before 11:00pm (their closing time) Not too long after, I get a call from the store that they cannot accept any orders after 11:00pm. I said the order was placed before 11. They then went on to say that they don’t have any delivery drivers available at the moment and that I had two options. Either i cancel the order myself or come to pick it up. The first gentleman was decent enough to speak well and address the problem. The second person whoever the idiot was spoke extremely rudely , in the most brazen tone and manner. He went on to yell at me that I should know and understand that they don’t have a delivery driver. I wonder how they expect me to be a supernatural person to know that their driver has left for the day????? When the customer has placed the order well before the store closing time, made the payment and is simply expecting a reciprocation of the service - in which world do they find it convenient to blast out at the customer? Extremely impolite staff, ill-mannered and no sense of responsibility. I managed to raise the issue with Deliveroo and at least they were cooperative and helpful. Didn’t any food though for the night :(

Do not use this takeaway. I ordered Anikas via Just Eat - Just Eat took order and confirmed pick up time. 7,45 pm. When we went to collect, Anikas was closed!!! Just Eat took full payment - £42.50 when I contacted them they refused to refund me. I have used Anikas for 12 years. I have just been in to tell them what happened. Said it is not their problem. I said surely you care about your customers - they clearly do not!!! Very disappointed that they are not going to contact Just Eat on behalf of their customers and they did not seem interested. Cannot afford to lose £42.50!!

This was a takeaway that was delivered an hour late. There had been a spillage. The onion bhajis were soaked in curry and had to be thrown out. There was no rice. Everything was cold apart from one portion of chicken tikka masala - which was obviously the replacement for the one that had been spilled. When we complained they delivered the missing rice but no onion bhajis. We put everything in the bin as by now it was all inedible. So to summarise, we had spent £50.00 on an anniversary meal and an hour and three-quarters later, ended up with nothing to eat...

Avoid. Been ordering here for years. Recently got very bad service and food is suddenly really bad. Last nights take away took 2 hours ! They offered £4 compensation. Absolute joke. DO NOT USE THEM!

I have ordered from Anika's for years, since around 2017. In the last year they have gone down hill and I've had enough. Ordering times are now consistently over an hour and 20 minutes. They've been doing promotions more recently, likely due to dwindling customers, one promo was a free bottle of wine over 30 quid, first time we ordered they never delivered wine due to "running out" early in the evening. Second time never delivered the bottle and they claimed due to the discount we applied for being loyal customers we were not entitled to it despite being on the bill. Now they have a buy 1 get 1 free on main dishes, they never delivered the free dish, claimed I had to bring the order back to the store and order again. It is quite clear this place is run by inbreds now and I suggest you find a better establishment to order from.

Ordered food for dinner online and they accepted the order. However no order was delivered and no answer on the phone. Would not recommend this place!

Terrible experience. Delivered after 40 odd minutes late. No wine as promised. Had to call to find out where the order was and when the driver arrived he sat outside vaping for a few minutes before getting out. They also ignored the request on the order so the meal was ruined for us.

Got delivery, food was very bland and probably the worst Indian food in the area.

Expensive and Small portions. Chicken tasted off or it wasn't Breast maybe pulled from thigh or drumstick.

Fancied a takeaway and called and placed collection order. Order repeated and price confirmed for 15 mins. On arrival, said collection name and duly paid. Only check receipt I paid £2.01 more for a different order. Error refunded. However, on order I reittereates mango chutney and all confirmed. When home no chutney, which is a minimum anyway, rice seemed uncooked. Called and takeaway said 'mint' yoghurt is a chutney!! Can't be asked to argue so another Anikas client lost due to poor service and food.

The best Indian food we have tasted in Hillingdon. Never fails to please. Each dish has its own individual seasoning tantalising your taste buds, perfectly cooked and delicious. Try their lamb karahi and other dishes. Staff exceptionally pleasant and polite. Definitely try them..you won't be disappointed. The Clarks Ickenham

Nice food but little overpriced

Having ordered a starter of Meat samosas they were way to salting. Having had them in the past with no problems i don’t know why the can’t be the same as last time. Also I had a chicken curry with mushroom rice and like the samosas this to was WAY WAY to salty I could not eat it. It looked great and smelt great and looked fresh but to much is a taste killer in my opinion. Sorry for this review but true.

Horrible. In Which part of World do they make Butter chicken with Coconut, Anikas does. Madras chicken is to be spicy but it burnt our tongues. Naan was very good however with COCONUT butter chicken and FIREY Mad4as chicken, it died

Ordered vegetable BaltI, tandoori chicken and rice. Delivered earlier than estimated time given. It was delicious. Lovely and fresh looking and tasting and hot. Will definitely be ordering from here again when in the area. Best takeaway we've had in a long time.

Always helpful and friendly staff. Food is always great standard and is our local takeaway of choice and have been using it for years. I have collected our meal today as we were passing on our way home and ordered by phone but have also had our meal delivered which is always reliable. I would recommend Anikas house speciality which is plenty of food for two people and such good value for £12.50.

Not impressed. The food is very average, and lacks the 'Wow' factor. Used Anikas for five consecutive Friday evening dinners just for a change, but we’ll now revert back to our previous regular takeaway which is far better. We thought we might be getting used to the small differences between our previous Indian takeaway and this one, but then Anikas raised their prices by an unacceptably high percentage, putting more than a few quid per person on the final bill. I have now removed my payment details and will not be returning. Price rises are inevitable, but when they are as big as this, that’s abusing the loyal customers.

Have ordered from here a few times. Food is usually lovely. Reason for 1 star rating is the very long wait for delivery when we last ordered, although the app that we used claimed the food had been delivered hours before.

Ordered from here for lunch today as usual take away was closed. We were very impressed. Very polite staff and great authentic tasting food. Will definitely order from here again.

Really disappointed with our order this time. We really enjoyed it last time, but the quality wasn't as good this time unfortunately.

Sad state on a usually reliable restaurant. Sat waiting for a birthday meal..for 1hr 30. Delivery got taken by wrong address. Forgivable, mistakes happen. Having to chase your food 3 times and being told it will be there in 5 mins each time is just poor customer service. Whilst apologetic and seemingly genuine. I will go elsewhere next time Edit: genuine effort to resolve and did so in double quick time. 2 stars to 4 stars. Apologised at the door also

Amazing food and amazing service - these guys know how to treat customers and are way above the other local Indian restaurants i have tried in the past. WOW, what great food and amazing service. Such a generous restaurant. Always order the tandoori chicken. Which is beautiful and moist and flavourful. The aloo gobi is also flavourful and not greasy. I swear this is the best Indian takeaway in the area.

I chose Anikas based on their hygiene as there were a few Indian Takeaways with similar ratings but lower hygiene. We wasn’t disappointed. The chilli tikka masala had a lovely spice to it. The sag aloo was delicious. None of the dishes were oily or greasy. Will definitely order again. Only thing I would say is, we spent £27 so a bottle of drink would have been nice (maybe it’s because Just Eat had an offer on of 10% off on £30 spend or more.

I will never order from this store again. We used to be loyal customers of Anikas. But the last 3 orders have had something missing. The naan bread or the poppadoms for example. I called today to check on my food as it was 20 minutes late and before I’d told them where I was calling from I was told the order was ‘on the way’ straight after the call I got the text to say it was on the way from just eat. When the order arrived it was missing the naan bread I’d ordered. After letting this go on previous occasions left me incredibly irate. I called the store to ask for my Naan bread and I was told I’d receive it on my next order. I told them I would not be ordering with them again and he said he would check with the driver to get it delivered only to come back and state that they’d add an extra naan next time. I will never order from here again. The food is usually good but the customer service is abysmal.

Mint sauce tasted off or wrong. Had to throw parts of my dinner away that it was on. Keema naan had a tiny bit of meat in it. A big shame because the vegetable curry and the spinach side was really good

Food was ok. I loved the tikka biyani, but it was ruined by the white 'tooth-like' stone (?!?) that I BIT INTO!! I really wanted it to be a bone but it really was NOT. Also I ordered chicken pakora not onion baji. These things happen, but I'm afraid that I'm just that person who won't complain or reorder from the place as (now that the trust is lost) I imagine people will spit in my food so I just avoid like the plague. First and probably the last time I’ll be ordering from this place. Driver was 30min late, kept on calling me for instructions and I had no idea where he was. Turns out he put the wrong postcode into his GPS. Food was okay, very oily therefore wasn’t able to try all the dishes ordered. A bit disappointed

Very quick to process our order and quick delivery. The delivery guy was also very polite and wished us a Happy New Year. Food was delicious although the Dansak was a little too spicy for our taste buds!

Our food was delivered on time and hot. Our delivery driver was exceptionally polite which really made the whole delivery experience that much better. The curries and rice were lovely as always, and the mixed grill was cooked just right. I have nothing negative to say about yesterday’s experience. Thank you for good service!

No phone call to tell us about a delay. 20 minutes after the stated delivery time I called them and they said it would likely be another 10 minutes. When it came, they had forgotten the drink (they did send another driver out with the drink). However, the food was really nice, especially the mixed starter and the samosas.
