Delicious food with good service

Terrible service, the quality of the barfi has gone downhill tremendously. I can see why they are closing down more and more stores.

I am very disappointed from the food i ordered and also the service from Barfia Northwood branch. We placed an order via Uber Eats on 29th Nov 23, for pav bhaji, vadapav, and Diwani Handi, but unfortunately, the quality of the food was ridiculous. I received a call from the staff initially indicating that you were out of stock for pav bhaji so please change your pav bhaji to something else, but later informed me that they had two portions available, so we are lucky. I just confirmed that is the pav bhaji fresh, despite being assured that the food was fresh and properly cooked, I found the pav bhaji to be stale and undercooked. Furthermore, the vadapav was tasteless and the Diwani Handi was excessively spicy with some white pepper in it. The delivery also arrived 15 minutes late, despite the app indicating a different delivery time. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food, and as a result, I had to cook our meals on that day and discard the food we ordered from your restaurant. Also same day around 9.45 I made a complained Via uber eats but havent hear back and also made a complain to Barfia email address and received a quick reply saying that someone from Northwood branch will call me, but apparently its been more than 20 days and I haven't received any update from any of the Barfia staff. I look forward hearing before the end of this year for some update.

Food was awesome🤤 I had chhole bhature it was so delicious and mouth watering 10/10. All the staff were excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !!!!! Must give it a try..

Lovely barfi, I pre-ordered 10 boxes for diwali gifts, the service was brilliant, very afficient. The only thing I will say is that it is a shame they don't add a card in each box stating what barfi's are included.

A very big thank you to Hiren and the Barfia team at Northwood! Atlantic Electrics ordered our Diwali mithai from them and it was on point!

Great place to buy very different sort of barfi. They also have a sit down menu. Take away was available during the Diwali period.

Great food, great service, very friendly staff. Food is fresh and delicious. Reasonably priced and staff certainly happy to cater for adaptations to food with no issues.

I ordered breakfast this morning. The delivery never arrived on the time slot provided. Called up the restaurant as the drivers were arranged by the restaurant as per the description on the Uber eats app. So I called up the restaurant. Restaurant informed no driver available. Asked if I could pick up. I informed I won’t be able to. They said they will have to cancel my order then and I will given a refund as they cancelled my order cause of lack of driver. Received email now saying I will be charged for the cancellation as the restaurant prepared the food already. I just want to ask why would they consider joining Uber eats if they can’t arrange a driver for the restaurant and instead charging customers for the rubbish service they provide.

We hired their Live catering services for my son’s birthday party and I must say they did an amazing job. The food was delicious and so was the service. I’d recommend the Samosa Chaat for sure. Barfia at its best!

I bought fresh Kaju Katli. 16 pieces for £9. I was under impression they will be around 500gms. As it was very light box, curiously, I checked it at home and it turned out approximately 350gm. That means around £25-27 for a kilo of Kaju Katli. It was a disappointment. Staff is good over there and approachable but the way they sell their sweet by number for all sweets is out of norm. I love their sweet and it's quality but this kind of approach is a deterrent to visit them for future for me.

we did our Grih Pravesh recently inviting friends and family. For the occasion we ordered food from Barfia Northwood. The food delivered was delicious , on time , well packed and warm. Somasas and Hakka noodle was star, every one enjoyed is full. Also the quantity was decently more than what we ordered.

Editing my earlier review based on recent experience: The new female staff member of Gujarati origin is sluggish and lousy. When called at around 2045 hrs UK time on 24th June for a dine in we were informed that the kitchen is closed. Surprised with this response as the restaurant is open until 2130 hrs on Saturdays. Even when we went for a dine in on Sunday 25th June at around 1430 hrs the same lady called her colleague to check whether she can entertain dine in walk-in guests like us in an empty restaurant or not? LOOKS LIKE YOUR STAFF MEMBER ISN'T KEEN ON DINE-IN AND OFFERING GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. IF YOUR STAFF MEMBER IS OVERWHELMED WITH WORK THEN SHUT DOWN THE RESTAURANT AND BE CONTENT WITH SELLING SNACKS AND SWEETS. Earlier Review - This is my go to place for vegetarian Indian food. The dine-in arrangement is fairly basic but clean. The food is prepared fresh. I recommend trying their Tandoori platter, Tandoori phool (cauliflower/broccoli) and masala rotla when the mercury dips and the weather gets a bit chilly. The staff is courteous and efficient.

This gem of a restaurant serves an incredible variety of truly delicious food. My favourite was the mushroom kebab which arrived on a sizzling dish and was beautifully spicy! The garlic Naan was fluffy, light and smothered in garlic-incredible. I could go on but I suggest you treat yourself to a fabulous culinary adventure and form your own opinions. Oh and I almost forgot-it happens to focus on vegetarian dishes.

The customer service was great, very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is pleasant and calm. However, their opening hours do not match with the information given online. Unfortunately the food quality was very low. Even if it is a vegetarian restaurant, the mixed vegetables they use are tinned carrot cubes, peas and corn and nothing fresh. It is simply outrageous that restaurant doesn't use fresh ingredients and still charges good amount of money.

Went there again yesterday. Cannot adjust the spicyness for children. The service was appalling. Forgot my drink first. Kept us waiting for over 45 mins for our mains which eventually came in dribs and drabs. Took some new people with me who left very disappointed. Don’t order any noodles if you go there!!!!!

Enjoyed masala dosas this evening. Good service and friendly staff. Enjoyed masala dosa again and liked sambar very much. Gave us extra.

Quaint lil place. Bit too spicy on the food but pani puri was great. Host was really knowledgeable and attentive.

Pure Indian Authentic taste ever. The food was delicious and yummi. It's taste like I am in real Indian restaurant. And the manager Mr. Dishant Patel he's really down to earth Guy. All staff members are very nice and polite.

visited this restaurant on a Thursday evening - it was quite busy with many locals surprisingly the food was amazing. My wife and I had the masala dosa, paneer masala dosa, chili paneer plus other sides - its good value for money and extremely tasty. Would definitely recommend it. You have to try and get the attention of the waiters as its real busy.

Customer service are very well coming and Food quality is fabulous.

They are con artists!!! I asked for 250 gms of jalebi when I walked in this shop. The man who was serving said that there was already a packed box on the counter for £3.49. I said it is only 200 gms and that works out at £17.50 a kilo. So the man said that the cost of materials has gone up. I later identified that they sell jalebies for £11 a kilo. This is unscrupulous practice designed solely to con customers. I have reported this incident to the Trading Standards with photographic evidence. Stay away from this place if you don't want to be cheated.

Customer service is really bad, was not shown out table. Other customers left the shop after not being served at the shop front. Table/cutlery was dirty and had to request for it to be cleaned. Drinks took ages arrive until after starters were finished and had to ask for them to be brought to u us. Tea was ordered which arrived after 15 m in ns and again not hot just about warm. Bhajias and masala dosa were not warm and in my opinion it's not freshly made at the time of ordering.

A fantastic Experience from start to finish . the service we received at restaurant was second to none . the cuisine was as good as it gets and the portion size is very generous. will undoubtedly visit again with family to this restaurant. Booking in advance is preferable as it might get very busy

I have to say the flavours of the mitai were very tasty, best tasted so far. I don’t normally buy indian sweets but for Eid, it’s a must in our household. My score solely of 3 stars was in just for the mitai, marks down of poor service. It was my first time there after hearing such good things about it. I had requested slither of one or Two of the flavours I had not expected To be used in mitais to taste. Rudely refused and told to choose as it was Eid and they had no time. Now I was buying for Eid, one does not buy one of two pieces, easily spend £100-£200 on mitai if not more. How can one buy such large quantities without knowing what these new flavours taste like. Needless to say I bought a small box and left. Took my business else. Shame really because I think the ones I bought were good, very tasty but ruined by bad service. Good behaviour and good service means people go back for repeated business and spread the word of good food. Very disappointed.

Barfis are good but wasnt impressed with other sweets.

This place is talked up a lot by those who love Indian snacks and street side style food. I loved the chhas they served. It has a good collection of mithaais. I will visit again to sample more of the food choices.

I recently visited this amazing vegetarian restaurant and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the menu had a great variety of dishes to choose from. I started with their hot & sour soup which was bursting with flavor and had just the right amount of spice. For my entree, I ordered the vegetable stir fry and it was cooked to perfection - the veggies were crisp and the sauce was delicious. What stood out to me was the freshness of the ingredients and the attention to detail in every dish. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the overall dining experience exceptional. If you're looking for a healthy and flavorful vegetarian meal, I highly recommend this restaurant. I'll definitely be back!"

Need to update the time on goggle. Wasted parking money thinking that it’s open as shown but they decided to say it’s closed. Yes it’s says 10:00 am . And I was there 10:15 and staff said we are not open for today. So need to clarify within your staff. Unfortunately not a good experience. I have visited this place several times and food is amazing but this experience of today didn’t enjoy.

Very good Gujarati Thali presented well. You can tell they take great care with food preparation and customer service is very good. Owner takes an interest in ensuring you have a good experience and are happy. Seems to be very much a takeaway place. There are a few tables to eat in which are comfortable and easy to book.

Swaadelicious at barfia is somewhat of a mixed bag. Some dishes such as the tofu dry fry are very good. However others are quite mediocre. The menu is quite extensive and I'm sure some items are good, but it seems very much hit and miss

This is nice Indian sweet shop. Also in this has Indian food restaurant to eat in and takeaway service. Very nice shop and good staff.

Fraud person handle this Barfia Northwood branch, Cheated staffs and customers about all Selling week old food and stores all food in fridge and freezer and after as per demand warm up in microwave and sell on counter Cheating with staff by not paying salary and claimed a lot furlough and staff don't know about all claim amount, Staff was working in shop and he paid half salary and claim double amount from HMRC

We had a wonderful evening with friends....v welcoming vibe and friendly staff, food was excellent 👍. Reminded me of home. Will definitely visit more often here. Mithai range is amazing.

Service was quite poor as the restaurant was almost empty when we visited and it took a long time for food to arrive. There was only one staff member serving both the sweet shop and restaurant so every time I had to ask things multiple times. The menu is very vast so it took a while to decide what to eat. The Starters were quite good in taste especially tandori platter. The main food items were not at all good as they had a lot of oil. One thing to bear in mind that the restaurant adds 12% service tax which as per the rules is optional but staff had no clue of it.

My son and I had a lovely lunch here today. He had the Grilled Bombay Sandwich and I had an Aloo Tikki burger with fries. We also had Masala papad. We wanted our food to be mild and the lady and gentlemen who served us were very helpful in helping us to make the right selection. The food was just right for us, mild and tasty and the portions are nice and big. Excellent food and service. Well done and thank you. We will be back.

Luckily we checked the menu for this restaurant and it clearly states that their buns/pav contain eggs! Not suitable for someone who is pure vegetarian or anyone with allergies as it says Pure Vegetarian on their menu but clearly not! Lucky enough we didn’t actually go there!

I ordered some of Kulcha Thali lassis and Milk shake. It is very delicious food and drinks. I feel same taste like as in India.

The snacks are very good. I recommend bread pakoda and Chinese bhel. Tea is also very good. Ambiance is kind of ok. It's not like a proper restaurant. It's a sweet shop who also serves you food.

Got some Indian sweets for here as a gift. Never tried before as not a fan of Indian sweets. It’s a very nice and welcoming store. Staff are friendly. Vast range of sweets and treats and good price points as well. Some very unique items there was well. Might be tempted to make a purchase for myself in the future to have a try.

The barfi’s from Barfia have got to be the best I’ve ever tried with a wide variety of flavours offered - each unique in their own way! The food served by Swaadelicious at Barfia is worth trying - the presentation and taste of the pani puris in particular was very impressive! We’ll definitely be visiting again.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE MOST RUBBISH I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED ANYWHERE. THEY THINK TOO HIGHLY OF THEMSELVES AND SPEAK DOWN TO CUSTOMERS. DISGUSTING WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Absolute waste of money, so much spices but no taste at all,

I will always come here now°° travelled from London and very satisfied !! The food is tremendously tasty and authentic Indian taste. !!!!! I just loved this place.,,, packed lots of snacks, and extra meal for home as well. It's pure North Indian taste with loads of flavour. Very good quality and fresh food. Humble and polite staff. Fully vegetarian with lots of varieties and everything tastes unique!!

Went to buy some puri and chana. Phoned the guy and asked if they did halwa puri. He said we did puri and chanay and i asked for 3 portions puri (5 in one portion £2.50). Came home opened it and it had small 500ml box of chana cost 7.45£. Puris were dark brown and very tiny. Overall low quality of chana and puri. Customer service misleading. Not impressed. I guess they should only stay at the barfi.

I bought mava penda. They were extremely soft. Can’t hold in your hand without it becoming mushy. Should have been a little hard.

Had a delicious meal at Swadilicious - I was pleasantly surprised by the food, the paneer, crispy corn and mogo was incredible - hats off to the chef. Honey took really good care of us as well. Highly recommend!

I always buy Aloo papdi chaat and it is always delicious This time, however, the box was a third empty so only 2/3 of Aloo Papdi Chaat for the same price Don't know if it is Shrinkflation? Great taste as always though

I always have fantastic service at Barfia. Staff is very friendly. I have ordered food on my birthday party for 35 people. Food was excellent specially Palak Paneer. Everyone loved the food. Thank you so much for great service.

Lovely food lovely staff and reasonably priced also local to us in Northwood.

I had gone there to help my mom in Sweden to get some Barfi and Paan, it was important that everything was correct. Despite me asking them if they had packed paan for me, they ensured me that it was indeed packed. And of course, they had forgotten it. When we explained about their mistake through a phone call from Stockholm, they told us it is our problem and not their, which is honestly a joke and far from a fair statement. Extremely unprofessional and flat out rude to not accept mistake and blame it on the customer. People deserve refund if they don't get the right items.

This place is highly under rated. The food and service was fantastic and the portion sizes are very good for the price. The milkshakes were delicious and the service was great. The wait was a bit long but was definitely worth it. As a local of the area I would definitely say this is a place worth eating at again.

I spent £22.00 today! The dishes were revolting - the chola butura and bhajias. The chola was salty and the butura was made of leather. They really don’t care about what they are serving. This is pure slop. If you want good food at a reasonable price - don’t go to this place!!! During these unprecedented times they are ripping people off. Horrible food - avoid. I do hope they close for good soon as they don’t deserve to be in business - serving this disgusting food. All positive reviews are fake. I note the comment about a fake review?! That is always the case when it is real - not from their staff?!

Rude Owner not worth prices! Less then 500 gram barfi £8. Price’s is doesn’t matter but sweet is not home made and not fresh. Pooja sweet Kingsbury best price and fresh sweet.

Absolute waste of money, had to throw the bhajia’s away as clearly had been double fried and tasted stale. Got 4 spring rolls, however was told portion of 5! Waited 40mins to collect, was advise would be ready in 25mins and definitely not worth the wait. Food is not freshly made!!!

Below average restaurant. Their big minus is the customer service and the attitude of the staff. Very rude. We were at the restaurant and wanted to dine in but we were told all tables were reserved. We decided to takeaway and waited for almost half an hour without anyone occupying the space. When we were about to leave and then a family came in unreserved and were offered a table. Highly unprofessional. Food was spicy and the quantity was very less. All items are overpriced and no one would want such an experience even after paying for it. Baring the sweet rest of the food was below average and overall a very bad experience.

I asked for a masala dosa and came home and I ended up with a plain one. Check your food before leaving. They have offered a refund or replacement dosa which is good customer service. Can’t comment on the food yet sadly

Great food here, not just sweets. This is a proper Indian restaurant and take away. This is where the Indians go! I love stopping by here on my way home to sit down or have a take away. My personal favourite is the Masala Dosa! One minute walk from Northwood Hills tube station. Try it out, great food! Also Indian sweets are nice. Lovely.
