We went to this restaurant for a family meal. The food was cold and terrible. Waited about 30 minutes for starters which was tasteless. Main meal came late as well, food absolutely terrible. I have eaten at Indian restaurant in the past and this is by far the worst. Both food and service.

Absolutely my favourite local restaurant. The food is delicious and very reasonable and there's plenty of vegetarian options, including many of the side dishes which come in very generous portions. The service is perfect too - the team are very welcoming to everyone, including my young son who has loved coming here since he was two. Highly recommended!

5 star restaurant! Not only is this my favourite local restaurant this is probably my favourite restaurant for food! Just everything about this restaurant is great! From the owner, staff and always the best food! It never disappoints it’s always great every time! I always go with my husband and two children and the owners always make us feel welcomed and go above and beyond. Honestly I could come here once a week if I could! Definitely the best Indian food local and also in London in my opinion. I know there are other Indian restaurants that try and do it differently or a la carte but it’s never as good as this place. Great food, friendly service but don't expect customers to box up left overs themselves. We always over order so we can try different dishes but were left feeling very uncomfortable when we were just given a stack of take away tins to box up what we couldn't eat. Normally the staff would do this in the kitchen. It was a very busy night but staff were standing nearby. Having spent over £100 we were quite shocked. Will not return because of this.

Me and my family are regulars at spice station .. we have always enjoyed our fresh food portion size are great and the staff are very attentive and fun! Big shout out too khan nothing is too much trouble ! We we would highly recommend if your looking for a buzzy atmosphere would suggest too book wknds as gets very busy !

Ordered on Uber eats and got a Mutton Rogan Josh, Vegetable Masala and Peshwari Naan. I'm a huge fan of Rogan Josh's so have tried many throughout my years and this has to be my least favourite. It was extremely oily and bland, plus the mutton was tough. I had to reheat on the stove and add my own seasonings and spice -- I shouldn't have to do that. The vegetable masala was a lot more flavourful and I enjoyed that more than my Rogan, which is a shame considering I ordered it as a side dish. The peshawar was OK, very thick in some areas but it wasn't bad. I gave them two stars because I liked the vegetable masala and they kindly threw in a couple of poppadoms with the dips, I didn't expect that. But I wouldn't order again because the Rogan Josh was so bad.

I'm the founder member of 'Fartclub' the oldest curry club in Brighton and London (est 1998). I visited this place because I was staying locally and it had good reviews. I ordered the best sounding things on the menu and everything tasted the same. I know what a good curry is and it ain't this! But Lovely staff and superb wine (2021 Chateauneuf du Pape). The place is fine if you want quantity but aren't bothered about the whole gourmet thing.

Great food, nice restaurant, khan is a great sever and very kind

The food was delicious, however, the evening was tainted by the fact we were overcharged for items that were presented on the bill as "specials". Unbeknownst to us, when taking our order, our server would say "I'll make it special just for you" at no point was it made clear to us that this would equate to additional charge on top of the menu price. Such a shame as the food is excellent and not the experience I've had in the past. Transparency with your customers is key.

Food was good, but the waiters were deceiving when producing our bill, adding additional costs that differ to the menu for ‘special’ versions of a dish that had not been requested.

When served we ordered our mains and then were told they would do us a special version, not asking if we want special, told they would do us a special one, which we thought was a nice touch, but they added £2 extra per main onto the bill and then charged a large amount for soft drinks and haven’t refunded us

Delicious food, best Indian in North Chingford

I recently dined at Spice Station and had an incredibly disappointing experience. The food was dry, tasteless, and far from what you'd expect from a place that brands itself as a top restaurant. It was as if the dishes had been sitting out for hours before being served. But the worst part of the evening was the owner. He was shockingly rude, dismissive, and seemed to care more about squeezing every last penny out of customers than providing any semblance of decent service. It’s clear that his only priority is profit, not the satisfaction of his patrons. I won’t be returning, and I recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

We are regulars at the Spice Station. Put simply it is the best Restaurant I know. We are lucky it is in North Chingford. The food is sublime with beautifully crafted dishes. Tonight it was Chicken chilli masala -with fresh spices, chillies, peppers, onion combining in a delicious sauce with tender tasty generous chicken pieces and prawn korma exactly as it should be. The side dishes are as good as the mains. Fresh vegetables in authentic sauces each one perfect! Mr Khan, Shah and their team are perfect hosts and it is always a pleasure to visit spice station Thank you Chris and Nicky

It was our first time but it won’t be our last. We really enjoyed our experience. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. We like it very hot, the waiter made sure we got what we were looking for. The service was friendly and efficient. I look forward to our next visit.

We have been to the Spice Station Many times and have always had a lovely meal. However, our last experience was horrendous. Very quick to give poppdums and drinks but after that we were abandoned. We had to ask 3 times if we could order out main meal. 45 mins it took before it was taken. No apology for the deadly. When the food arrived it was so far off its usual standard. We left most of it. The rice was greasy, I had chicken dansak and the chicken Was very dry. We had taken a friend and he had 2 mouthfuls of his prawn madras before leaving it. Wasn’t even questioned why or if we enjoyed it. Being typically British we paid and left. We will not be going back any time soon.

I came here on Monday with my family and the food here was absolutely spectacular. The staff here was exceptional with their service and especially Mr Shah who looked after me and my family. This is the best Indian food you will find in Chingford and I definitely will be back again soon.

Did an order on a sat night via Uber eats , ordered at 5,40 and didn't arrive untill 7,20 and food finally turned up cold and almost 2 hrs for a takeaway..I rang they said it had left ten mins ago , then they called me and the restraunt then told me they had no record of the order and not at all helpful in resolving the issue, then I text the driver to see what was happening and the driver said leaving now and he had to wait over 40 mins for the order. complete shambles and ridiculous way to do business not happy and feel completely lied to, feel like I have waisted £29 worst takeaway experience I have ever had locally and to top it of food was cold nan bread awful was a repeat customer now won't be

Visited with a friend without a reservation and was welcomed like a friend! The service is timely, not too fast or too slow. The food is amazing! The kashmiri lamb was delicious, the lychees were an exceptional addition to the dish. We enjoyed the music, the service, the food and will be back soon! Collected a takeaway order and received a very friendly welcome and chat from staff. The restaurant is well set out with smaller tables and a large circular booth seating, with a convivial atmosphere - there appeared to be lots of regular diners. The food was very tasty and I would like to dine in, next time we visit.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Spice Station food and service. I tried them out when the food at my usual Indian takeaway became awful and couldn't get over how tasty their food was in comparison. I really liked the ease of ordering online. The clarity of their website is certainly one of the best I've used. It will hold no fear for those worried about online ordering! Their food is tasty, with no bland or overspiced offerings (so far), just nicely balanced flavours, presented well, and delivered quickly. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive, which helps to make the atmosphere in the restaurant so welcoming. I couldn't believe how tender the lamb was in my Jalfrezi, I'll definitely be ordering that again! If you're looking for an Indian restaurant, either eat in or take away, you won't be disappointed with The Spice Station!

Good service. The food was really nice. My good friend was having an improvised stag evening. We were quite lucky that it wasn't too busy, and they were able to accommodate all 11 of us. The food was superb, and the service was fast and well timed. I wasn't sure what dish to order, but I was able to just tell the waiter what I liked and he gave me a great recommendation. The food looked and tasted beautiful. Would highly recommend 👌🏼

I'm a regular at Spice Station, and can honestly say it's the best Indian Restaurant I've been to. The food is always very tasty, and there's lots of choice. If you want really hot, they'll do it, just ask. Similarly, if you just want flavoursome food that's well prepared then they have that as well. The staff are very welcoming and attentive, and the owner is a genuinely nice guy. It's clean plates all round when my friends and I call in on a Friday evening. What more do you need?

Just tried here for the first time, and was very disappointed in my meal. King prawn jalfrezi had zero spiciness and my special rice was also bland. Nice staff though.

Fantastic Indian restaurant. One of the best local Indians with a outstanding service. The starters came out within 10 minutes of arriving followed by mains within 10 minutes, the meat is succulent and bread is made to perfection. Highly recommend Spice Station.
