Salad in kebab was black and old not fresh and not a lot of meat!!!!! curry were cold so was the chips!!! Wasn’t happy with our order this time so won’t be ordering from them again!!

The food was kind of bland. Not much flavour.

Me and my partner ordered Vindalloo and Korma, loved them both, specially the nan bread, amazing

Tried this restaurant as they had a money off offer on and I’m so glad I did. My new go to Indian from now on delicious.

I'm genuinely shocked by the poor reviews for Spice of India! I've lived in Oxford for years and rely heavily on apps like Deliveroo and Just Eat. I've tried every Indian, Chinese, and other restaurants around, and I can confidently say, as a local guide, that this is the very best Indian take away in town. The food here is absolutely amazing and so authentic. I've experienced Indian food in the past that was flooded with oil and where all the curries seemed to use the same base ingredients, just with different names. But at Spice of India, every dish is cooked and made to order — it's so fresh, so tasty, and so moreish! The prices are unbelievable for the quality you receive. I'm thrilled with my experience. The food arrived on time, with extra care in the packaging, making for a fantastic experience from start to finish. My friend and I were initially a bit worried due to the reviews, but I genuinely believe these negative comments must be from competitors trying to tarnish their name because this was a phenomenal Indian meal. In fact, I was so impressed that I went back within days. The quality is consistently excellent, the portions are generous, and everything is freshly made. Unlike other places where the food often comes soaked in oil, at Spice of India, everything is fresh and flavorful. The peshwari naan is delightful, the saag aloo is incredibly fresh, and I simply cannot recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favor and try it — you won't be disappointed!

Delivered late, driver explained, but asked for money back on one item as is wasn't delivered and they refused on the grounds it wasn't late? Biryianni came but without the veggie curry, tried ringing several times but no answer, so probably wont use this place again even thought the food was good

Fish and chips £2 from the feezer. But the indian food banging and full of flavour. Overall will defo try again.

The meat chunks were to large in the chicken as was the onion. Other than both dishes were very tasteful. I woukld recommend to any existing or future customer.

The tarka dhal I ordered was so watery with hardly any grains of lentils. Looked like they had watered it down to fill the 2 containers I had ordered. There was no flavour to it at all. The boiled rice didn’t taste nice either. The only good thing was the veg samosas. We used to order from them regularly but we will not order from them again.

Ordered at 5:15 came at 7:45pm. I tried to call but no answer food arrived no sorry it’s late and the food was cold. So disappointed.

We always order our meal from here as never had a problem before and the food is always amazing, but last night we had a dish missing from our order , tried ringing the restaurant on numerous times and no one answered? even tried doing on line chat but no joy? Not happy 😒

Our meal arrived by the specified time. The drink we ordered wasn't delivered with the meal, however the restaurant contacted the delivery driver who came back with it.

Chutneys and salads were delivered even though I left a note asking them not to be delivered. The chicken biryani was terrible, plus contained cucumbers and peppers which no proper biryani should contain. The chicken did not taste like it was marinated as it should have been in a proper biryani. It tasted like it had been cooked separately earlier and then reheated and mixed with the rice. Flavourless and terrible. Normally Spice of India are good but perhaps this time their regular chef was not on duty.

Food was good but delivery was late. Not everything turned up. Asked Just Eat about it but they never replied so ended up being overcharged.

Our order was delayed by 25 minutes , my kebab was almost entirely salad, forgot the naan and when I called they said they'd give me naan "Next time". No offer to do anything about it today. The food quality isn't good enough for me to get taken for almost three pounds .

As a vegetarian I don't expect to find chicken in my paneer tikka masala. This is the second time it has happened and I will not be chancing it again!

Food arrived 2 hours after it was ordered then driver had no change on him, can of drink at the bottom of food so was hot, soggy cold naan bread, hot salad, curry mainly onions not much sauce and lamb kebabs were co-op lamb burgers!.. will never return NOT RECOMMENDED!

Really disappointing. Food arrived late after 30 minutes was added to the ETA, it arrived cold and with wet soggy lettuce all over the meal, cold chips, basically un-edible and waste of money. I contacted just-eat who spoke to the restaurant, who declined to resolve the issue, no refund given. I threw the meal away in the end and really would advise against ordering from here.

Ordered a takeaway through just eat, restaurant added an extra 30 mins on to delivery time and then marked it as delivered even though we hadn't received it. When we called up to enquire we were told there was lots of traffic, we live less than a mile away. Oh and still waiting now 25 minutes after it was supposedly delivered!

Had to wait an additional 45 minutes for delivery even though the restaurant had already adjusted the time by 30 mins. When we called to enquire we were told there was lots of traffic on Bodley road!!! Food was average so won't be using them again as 2 hours from order to delivery wasn't worth it.

Amazing lovely dishes hot and tasty

Great food, especially the chicken wings which were absolutely crispy. Vindaloo was flavourful and really hot. Delivery came 20mins late and didn't receive the chips I've paid for, but when i called the restaurant, the staff was really helpful and offered to give me free large chips the next time I order.

I never received my order that I had placed at 9.30pm and they had updated my delivery time from 11pm to 11.10pm incurring the fact that they close at 11pm and that it had been delivered at 11pm, not happy
