Spice Lounge in Bath and North East Somerset

The curries, naan bread and rice were good, but all the sides were pretty poor. The samosa and onion bhaji were really undercooked, so had to be finished off in the air fryer and once done didn't taste that great.

Great food, great delivery. Nothing more to say. 5 stars all round.

Really disappointed with order, phoned the restaurant to explain about the quality of food delivered. It was inedible. Please refund

Ordered from here today for my daughters birthday got told 1 hour. hour and 20 went by and rang again got told all delivery’s were out shouldn’t be long, another 50 mins went by and it turned up 2 hour 10 mins for a cold curry and a disappointed family! Won’t be ordering again.

At the times I visit, the place is quiet and I have a leisurely meal invariably shared with a book and a bottle of wine. The food has always been more than satisfactory and in quantity. A boxed takeaway for what can't be eaten is almost always needed. Also, it's not expensive.

The chips are over cooked or re heated, so hard cannot be eaten. The food is barely luke warm and the chicken bhuna is only half full? The app updated to say it had been delivered five minutes before it arrived.

Food wasn't as good as previously

Went with friends who had booked a table. Restaurant was empty apart from us, and freezing cold. We were sat at a table by a filthy radiator, but was thankfully hot, and were left for about fifteen minutes looking at a dirty table cloth. The resturant isn’t licensed to sell alcohol. Eventually we ordered some food, of which the three popadoms arrived promptly. Almost an hour passed before all our food - starters and main dishes were all brought at the same time. The dishes were lukewarm and mediocre in flavour. Nothing special. We did think about walking out during the wait for the food, but as this was supposed to be a treat with friends we held on. At one point we were so cold that we had to heat up the cotton napkins on the radiator and pass around to put on our legs. There was no interest from the staff at all. When we did eventually leave - two hours later, there was one other couple in the restaurant, and they looked quite glum too. This was on a Saturday night! If I were to sum it up I would say it was a totally dismal experience which we will remember for all the wrong reasons.

Absolutely love the food here. We had a takeaway, but the atmosphere seemed good. Excellent value for money... highly recommended!! 👌

Food was over an hour late and arrived swimming in oil. Yellow oil everywhere. Food as also cold.

Lovely curry. Very fresh. Grest portion sizes. Not used take away for 4 years!!! New ownership in presume? Highly recommend it x.

Top people. There was plenty of meat in the curries and it was cooked to perfection. I’m super picky and I’ve honestly never had a bad meal from this place.

very good quality and tasty food, but over an hour late with the delivery. They said it was up to a 70 minute delivery, but it took over 2 hours for the delivery.

I wasn’t expecting much from this little place but don’t let the led lighting and dated decor deceive you, this was actually one of the nicest meals I had this year - incredible flavours and all cooked to perfection. The lime pickle is actually unreal!! Very friendly staff and a lovely meal which wasn’t expensive at all… Would come back in a heartbeat- just wish they’d change the lighting!

This is a great little restaurant. Warm and welcoming and very good service. Food is cooked fresh and very tasty. It's a bring your own drinks so it a very reasonable evening out as your only paying for the food.

Order not received, was told twice that the order was in a car out for delivery, but never materialised

food was inedible and cold, delivery was estimated 80minutes (1hr 20) and it arrived after 110minutes (1hr 50) although i live within a 10 minute radius of this restaurant. won’t be ordering again.

First time ordering, food was delicious and plenty of it. Estimated delivery was around 1hour 10, and it arrived within 25 minutes so very impressed with quick delivery!

The best Indian in Stroud. The food was superb, atmosphere electric, lovely and clean, but what made this place a 10/10 was the amazing staff. Ali and his partner (whose name I unfortunately didn’t get) provided excellent customer service making sure to check on us frequently and the food came very quickly. They even placed a fan next to me when they saw that the spice of the madras was getting too much and I began to sweat profusely. Couldn’t recommend more and I will be back next time I am in Stroud.

I ordered biryani and it takes over 2 hour to get delivered. I call restaurant to check about my order and the guy on phone is was laughing and not even listing to me and after waiting for 2 hours I got worst food of my life the geven me plain rice by adding chicken and salad in it.

Served raw chicken, so sent it back 20mins later brought out a different chicken dish and was burnt so told them to forget it and we wasn’t paying as we couldn’t eat it but they were intimidating and made us pay Never to return absolutely disgraceful!!!!

AVOID!!! 🚨AVOID🚨 Spice lounge peasdown!! Me and my partner have gone for evening meal for today. Food was horrendous. I order chicken and waited 35 mins. I don’t mind waiting, excepting a nice meal. And well it was far from it. Raw chicken had blood coming out all over my fork 🤢 They took it away with no sorry nothing. Waited 20 mins for a replacement and was burnt to a crisp and was dry. So I decide I’m not eating this anymore. Told the staff and was ordering I pay for all of it! Pointing in are face when we said we are not happy paying for it. And touching are buggy trying to hold it! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SEVICE And staff are so rude! Everyone is there is not happy with there meals/times.

Shut this place down immediately. Its a food health and safety nightmare. Staff are rude.

My chips was cold the scampi was not very nice and the sauce on the lamb dish was all over my hands when I took it out of the bag for husband,I will not be using them again

We normally enjoy our food from Spice Lounge but today was not a good day. The food quality was poor. Some items were inedible.

Pre ordered for delivery at 6.30, didn’t turn up until 8pm. Multiple phone calls made to them & given a different excuse every time. Not even nice food when it did turn up - don’t bother.

Nearly 1.5 hours late I rang twice arrived nearly 8pm curry 2 pieces chicken 10 halves boiled potatoes!!! Ordered keema nan got pashwari it was gross I’m allergic!!! Not good … cold food and poppadums floppy so soggy not happy

Normally a great takeaway however the last two times we have ordered the delivery has been over the allocated time despite the app saying it’s been delivered once it gets to the maximum time. Last order food was still acceptable. This time one order had spilled all in the bag and the curries were lukewarm at best. Chips and rice cold

My favourite go to placewhen I want a curry. Never dined in always a takeaway but the quality must be the same.

Ordered at 5.40pm, acknowledged delivery time 6.40 - 7.00pm. Turned up at 7.45pm, chips, rice and madras all cold. Shouldn't have to warm up in the microwave, may as well of had a microwave curry meal. Poppadoms were soggy.

Our food still hasn’t turned up, we rang the restaurant and they’ve said 10 minutes. This is terrible, is there anything you can do to compensate us for this? - if we order something for a time we should have it there.

Over 2 hours late and when I called they kept saying yeah it’s on its way but then another 20 minutes would go by and my food still not here this went on for a while

My order took 3and a half hours I live five minutes away from the restaurant I ordered it at 10 to 6. It turns up at 9:20.

Order 3 hours late and counting. Ordered at 5:40pm with delivery due in 45mins, called to chase at 7:35pm and was told 15mins, called again to chase at 8:40pm and was told 10mins... 9:25pm and still no order

Spice lounge..What on earth have you done?! Wow! Just…wow! And not in a good sense. Liquid slop that you can pass the time away with playing ‘find the meat’

Everything else was good but ordered veg samosas bc I’m vegetarian and ate one before realising it was meat.

Ordered food at 7 but was delivered after 9:30! Lucky I was cooking a pizza for the kids so the oven was on when the food arrived STONE COLD. Zero customer service, average food and disappointed kids. I won't be ordering from here again. If you do, here's a tip. Ask them how busy they are because they really struggle to cope.

It won’t let me choose the time it was late but we ordered at 7:30pm with an estimated time of delivery between 8:30-9pm At 10pm we are still awaiting our food! Not happy in the slightest with very little done by the restaurant, including trying to use getting lost as an excuse when we live 10 mins away on one straight road.

I ordered a plain naan bread but received a garlic naan which was not what I ordered.

unfortunately some of the paneer was very hard and tasted off. it was a disappointing saag paneer

Fantastic Food and service. I don't like anything cooked in butter and they made sure that my biriani was cooked in oil. They also made sure that everything was ok with my meal once it had been served

We regularly visit Spice Lounge and have never had a bad meal, food is always tasty and hot. Service is always good also. The fact that it is also take your own drink makes it a really reasonably priced meal out.

Simply amazing! Highly recommended.
