Highly recommended. Yet again exceptional service, delivered on time and all of ourmeals were delicious! Cannot be faulted.

Out as a party of nine for a friends birthday. Staff were very friendly but not over bearing. The menu had a good selection and was reasonably priced. The food was fresh, well presented and full of flavour. Well recommend.

Me and my husband have just shared a chicken tikka masala and a chicken curry from Spice and I have to say, both were absolutely delicious (probably the best I remember ever eating ) easy to order via Uber, delivered to the door. Highly recommended

We visited Spice Island last night for the first time for several months. The restaurant has been decorated throughout and has new furniture. Service was from a very polite and helpful waiter and the food was outstanding. Well done Spice Island we will be back!

Was recommended to try as my usual takeaway as gone down hill So ordered delivery at 5.30 on a Saturday told it be an hour. Arrived with 45 minutes Well done for managing my expectations! So Starter Shami Kebab not dry and tasty enough salad and sauce Main Lamb Madras meet very tender and plenty of it tasty sauce but could be a little hotter for a Madras Pilau Rice multi coloured and some flavour Naan This why didn't get 5 stars slightly doughy and filling in middle not spread out Pops slighy over done a little soggy Saying all this I will be using again and would recommend anyone to try

Amazing food and fast delivery. Naga chilli special was incredible. All came piping hot, no complaints at all. Mixed kebab starter is highly recommended too.

Ordered three meals on a Thursday evening. It took almost TWO HOURS!! When I called after an hour and a half they explained they had a busy restaurant and the meals would be 10 minutes. When the meals finally arrived almost TWO HOURS after placing the order, it was very clear they had lost our order. What we received were 2 meals with exactly the same sauce - one had a touch of mango chutney to make it appear different. NOT AT ALL WHAT WE ORDERED!! The other meal had a whole EGG in the centre!! My teenage son was in total disbelief and to say he was disgusted is an understatement. Thankfully, he doesn’t have an egg allergy!! The advertised free starter didn’t arrive (but at this point we couldn’t care). In short, if you can’t cope then DON’T be greedy and take the money for a service you can’t deliver!

Really love it here - this is now our local weekend restaurant. We brought our family over a couple of weekends ago, too (before the rule of 6!) and they loved it, as well. Very reasonably priced, lovely staff and great food. Good for vegetarians - they even have quorn as an option. Only minor bit of feedback is that the staff don’t wear face masks, which feels out of sync with other restaurants... Perhaps this will have changed with the new guidelines this week, though. You can take your own alcohol, too. Definitely recommend this place and the staff :)

To be honest I was disappointed, the service was so slow , my rice was cold but I had waited so long I didn’t want to complain and have to wait , my starter was wrong but again the wait was so long I didn’t want to complain Lastlly they wouldn’t give me nhs discount because of the help out to eat out . On a positive note my daughter enjoyed her meal very much

We ordered a take away from spice island last night and it was absolutely fantastic, really tasty. Even the little things like the pickle tray was amazing, it had a great selection of dips, onions salads and sauces. The starters were really good, and the main dishes were excellent and really well spiced.. Amazing.. highly recommended. Top marks all round.

disappointed we are both key workers looking for a well earned treat on our one night off together, i collected it on the way home shame we had some items missing when i got home, i rang them they said they would send a driver with the item, then 15 minutes later they rang saying they had no driver and it will be a hour, any problems they will call me, it is now the next morning and still nothing, so we had curry without the rice not exactly the night or meal we had planned and we are out of pocket

Just had a fantastic meal delivered to Parkside. We always order from Spice Island as it is, without doubt, the best Indian food in Stafford. HOWEVER, they never send enough mint yoghurt sauce. Even though we had poppadoms, a starter and a Tandoori main course, we didn’t get any mint yoghurt. This has happened so many times before that I even asked that they ensure there are 3x mint yoghurts. Sadly, again, none. This is the only fault I can find with this place - everything else about them is brilliant. Food is 2nd to none, staff are brilliant (we had a works for there on Tuesday and it was ace), delivery is good - just need to get the mint yoghurt right

Booked a table for 6th November. Arrived to find restaurant closed with no explanation as to why. I will not be eating at this place in the future if they can't be bothered to contact me to cancel my booking. Sadly I can't rate them as zero stars.

Came here for my niece's birthday party, enjoyed every moment of it, the food was amazing and well presented, the staff were very professional and made us feel welcome, will be recommending this restaurant to all my friends!! Definitely coming again xx

visited with my family after a while and it was an amazing experience. The food was fresh and very tasty. we where recommended the shai lamb by Abby the waiter and it was tantalising the flavours were bang on. The service was excellent the waiters were very attentive and no request was too much. i would recommend this place to everyone. Will be visiting more often

An unusual "Johnny No Mates" first visit for me on a surprising busy early Wednesday evening and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Two other new experiences was me ordering a Pathia and trying a Carlsberg 0% alcohol lager both of which were excellent. Flavoursome curry with tender chicken, great naan, even the chips were a lot better than your typical fare.No complaints with the service or timing either.

Been going to Spice Island ever since it first opened- probably go 6 or 7 times a year. On the odd one or two occassions service has been a bit slow, but that's often because they are busy, which says it all really.

Went out with 8 friends for dinner. Waited an hour and 15 minutes for main course. Food was nice but tables that arrived 30 minutes after us, were served before us. When we questioned this, staff were surly and dismissive. We had to ask twice for our main courses to be served. Will not be revisiting.

This place served a wonderful meal, quickly and with good service. I really enjoyed the meal, pappadums and the accompaniments they provide were very good and clearly fresh. They only serve soft drinks but you can bring your own alcoholic drinks.

We visited here on a Saturday evening, Myself & 3 friends. From the moment we walked the the door to the moment we left the staff were friendly, helpful & accommodating. The food was delicious & served in good time from when we ordered to when we received our food. Great prices as well not too expensive.

Probably the best curry place in Stafford for taste but our main courses arrived 3 hours after we sat down (we did have poppadoms and starters but they were provided about 30 minutes into our evening). I would still go back as it was flavoursome food.

Absolutely delicious food, lovely restaraunt and staff, with some cool bar skills! Didn't drop the bottle! It definitly pit a smile on my daughters face! Sizzling duck literally meant just that, came out well presented, and sizzling. Thank you to our host, Ali.

Calling in for family meal for three on a Sunday evening we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. Our order was taken promptly, and served in a short time; all items chosen were delicious. We enjoyed ice creams for dessert; the whole experience was very enjoyable and good value, and we can unreservedly recommend Spice island. Free parking is available after 1800hrs opposite the venue.

This place was recommended to us by a taxi driver and we were not disappointed.

Have used Spice Island a number of times for a takeaway, always nicely prepared food, a decent size portion and friendly service. Don’t judge with restaurant by the look outside. It’s well worth a visit. The prices are also reasonable.

Visited Spice Island on Friday night with my sister in law, we hadn't booked but we were early to arrive, 7 pm. The place was very busy, always a good sign in my books. Waited a few minutes & we were found a table.

we have been to spice island many times so we booked for christmas day and we where not disappointed a great meal served by very pleasant staff there was a mixed starter follow by a choice of turkey .or chicken or lamb curry served with a glass of wine and a choice of desert will be going again nexst year thanks spice island

Had a nice meal with friends service was very good,only drawback was my meal contained a lot of onion and not a lot of rice,rive. Was very cool and lumpy,also could hear lots of noise coming from upstairs,it appears that’s the kitchen area.

Staff were polite,friendly and attentive. The chef cooked my meal just how I requested. Best curry I’ve had in years! The restaurant has just been redecorated and is fresh and clean.

My partner and I visit quite regulary to Spice Island and we have never a bad word to say, staff are welcoming and friendly , food is delicious and reasonably priced .They are very accomadating and if on spec you turn up they will do there utmost to get you in.All in all I have no problem in recommending Spice Island.

We went here last week with a group of friends. It was, for us , a first visit but it won't be our last. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the ambience of the place was warm and inviting. We were a group of 6 people and we were placed on a fairly large round table, meaning that we could all see and converse with everyone in the group- a nice touch. Our meals were all very good. We began our evening with poppadoms. These were accompanied by the normal array of pickles and yoghurt as well as a large bowl of sliced spiced onions from which we could help ourselves. We had a range of starters and no one was disappointed. Again, a couple of large bowls of salad were placed on the table for us to eat as we liked. Our main courses were delicious. They ranged from a paneer saag balti, azzeza special, murgh chilli masala and chicken and mushroom balti. They were all beautifully seasoned,very flavourful and had a good amount of spice. We accompanied our meals with a range of different nan breads and rices. Unsurprisingly, we were completely full by the end of the main course and had no room for desserts! Our bill for 6 people came to £90 (£15pp), making Spice Island an affordable as well as a tasty place to eat. It is an unlicensed premises, so take your own drinks. Staff are happy to provide bottle openers and corkscrews. They cleared our table of bottles and glasses as necessary during the evening and were very friendly at all times. The ladies toilet, always a good indicator!, was very clean and in very good order, well done Spice Island!

Had very good night for my birthday with my family, very friendly service, lovely food and great atmosphere.

Our family group enjoyed a first class dinner at this venue; it was our first visit, but will not be our last. Service was prompt and efficient from waiter Ratu and colleagues, , and the food was delicious and well presented.There is a small public car park within 2 minutes of the venue, which is free in the evening. Diners are welcome to bring their own alcoholic drinks. I can recommend the Spice Island unreservedly.

Had a lovely reception, had a table set up for us and even a cake, which my lovely wife loved. Will definitely be coming here again. Like the idea of being your own booze if you want to have alcoholic beverages.

This place (in my opinion) used to be the best curry house in Stafford however not sure if it has changed owners but the food has gone down hill. I had a chicken tikka pathia curry and it was bland and just tasted like chicken and tomato. Plus they have now stopped the 241 midweek offer. The new staff aren't as friendly and just a bit direct and rude. Far better curry houses in Stafford now.

We booked a family meal here, firstly every dish ordered was bland. There was no flavour at all and certainly no "Spice". Presentation of the food was also lack lustre. The worse thing for us was the service we received from one waiter in particular. When delivering our food he shouted and showed obvious distress and when we questioned one meal, he stated it was quite obviously something it wasn't. Will not be returning here!!!

I made a first time visit to Spice Island with friends last night and was pleasantly surprised. I have driven past the restaurant 1000's of times but never ventured in. The main reason for this was the outside appearance of the building. However a friend recommended the place so I went last night with a group of 6. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. We were supplied with glasses for our 'bring your own drinks' and left to choose from the menu. This was not extensive but a good choice of dishes some of which differed from the usual.I was quiet pleasantly surprised by the inside décor of the restaurant it is certainly better than the outside décor suggests. A certainly plus for my wife was the fact that the toilets were new and spotlessly clean.The food was supplied after a reasonable time and was served piping hot. It was very nicely presented and tasty. Prices were reasonable though not as cheap as our friends had experienced in the past. All special 2 for 1 offers have now ceased.All in all a pleasant experience and one which we will be repeat.

Always use this restaurant for takeaways. Saturday nights can be rather busy with about an hour wait for a takeaway however the food is of the same quality whether dining in or as a takeaway. Dined there Thursday evening with family, as usual food and service excellent.

The food was excellent. Very good hospitality and good atmosphere. We didn't have to wait long for food and table. Raj and Kamal, hosted us fantastically. Thank you so much for everything.

We had a selection of curries and sides to try as the menu was huge and we found it hard to decide on one. They all tasted different unique and would have eaten any of them as a main. Highly recommend the Hyderabadi Murgh and the Gobi Naryal! Will be coming again soon.

We visited here following a recommendation, which turned out to be a very good recommendation. Every meal was delicious and at a good temperature. We visited on a Saturday night when it was strangely quite quiet, I can imagine it feels very crowded in here when it is full as the tables are all very close together. Nevertheless we all enjoyed our meals and the service was very good too. In terms of cost it was relatively cheap, roughly £10 ahead; this is due to the fact that the restaurant is unlicensed so you can bring your own alcohol which I recommend that you do.

We booked a table for six people for last night (Saturday) & it was a good job we did cos it was busy! We were seated as soon as we arrived & given plenty of time to decide what we wanted which was a good job as there was lots to choose from! We all chose something different & all enjoyed our meals immensely. The restaurant isn't licensed so you can take your own drinks. We weren't rushed at all & the bill was a nice surprise at the end of the evening as I thought it was very reasonable! Will definitely go back again

We went there last night and it felt like cheating on a friend a bit as we normally go to The Island, but one of our mates is a regular there and he booked a table. The food was lovely and the service very good. The lads are very polite and attentive.

I was staying in Stafford and needed somewhere to eat. This restaurant was within walking distance of where I was staying so I called in initially for a take away but they managed to find me a table in the restaurant. Beautifully presented starter tasted as good as it looked. Main course was also excellent, the portion size was just right. Staff were friendly and helpful despite being busy. Restaurant was very clean. Couldn't really fault it.

Where do I start... Waiter was unfriendly, popadoms were not cooked enough, rice was cold and one of the meals looked congealed as though it had been heated up the microwave. Knowing a little about food hygiene it worried me that the rice had been sitting around for ages, therefore I decided not to continue with the meal and requested the bill for the starters. The manager became very argumentative saying that I should pay, as the food had been cooked. I explained why I was not prepared to pay and he proceeded to be unprofessional in his manner making me feel very awkward. I left the restaurant bewildered that the restaurant owner was not prepared to accept our complaint with courtesy. He thought he'd done enough by saying 'I'll bring you some hot rice'! This is the first time I have ever complained and needed to leave a restaurant due to poor customer service . I felt sorry for the handful of other people that had to observe the scene, when they should have been enjoying an evening out. Do not use this restaurant for eating in or takeaways !!

Not eaten in for a while, but last time we did the service was great.But we recently had a takeaway, which was delivered. I like my food quite spicey, but tasty not just hot, so I like the Naga Chilli. I ordered a Chicken Tikka Naga, with Lemon Chilli Rice...and my or my it was excellent, as was my wife's Tikka Massalla and my daughters Korma.Fantastic food, delivered to your door...what else would you need...:-) happy days

We had a great meal at this restaurant. I know we shouldn't really have chips with our curry but we do and they were great. Curry's were piping hot, very tasty and delicious. Would recommend this restaurant to curry lovers in Stafford.

The food was good. We felt under pressure to choose our meals but all in all we both chose well. I did ask for no coriander on my food but both starter and main had it on. But thankfully I was able to pick it off. I didn't like the fact that they don't have an alcohol licence.

Went on a Friday night for a works night out, the waiters where very polite, food was really nice! Atmosphere very good. Would def recommend!

Absolutely beautiful food from starters to finish. Lovely presentation and very tasty. I am vegetarian and there is plenty to choose from which is always a bonus. The waiter, Shane, is top notch and recommended a chef's special which went down a treat. Will definitely come back. Thank you to all of the staff.

The two for one offer on main courses makes this a bargain place to eat out. We went on Sunday night and ordered two poppadoms each, a main course each (six people), two portions of chips, three cokes, three rice portions and four naan breads. This was all lovely and cost less than sixty pounds all in. You can take your own alcoholic drinks.

Having not been to Spice Island for some time we went last night.....not very busy in the restaurant ...,,,,our starters took an hour to arrive but have to say they were very nice ...,,,,,,our main meal took a further 30 minutes . We both had a balti type curry and we found them to be very salty. Don't think we will be visiting again

Although the food was very nice, the waiter had an awful attitude, he clearly didn't want to be there, the service was dreadful I wouldn't recommend due to this particular waiter who ruined our evening, he thinks it is acceptable to behave in this manor which is a great shame, wish I had complained to the manager after he threw the napkin at us when collecting our plates, extremely bad mannered.

Never write reviews but felt I had to for this. Great restaurant to eat in, but blown away by how good as take away !!! We have a load in Stafford to choose from, but this is the best Indian take away by far. Really succulent meat and piping hot. Great job !!

We are regulars to this restaurant for both dining in and taking away. We have never had a bad curry from here. It is 2-4-1 in the week which makes it cheap to eat out in the week! (always something we look for!) and the selection and variations are lovely. My personal favorite is the Balti Korai! Excellent service also.

I have been going here for over 8 years, the food is tasty and the service is good, we tend to go on two for one nights so the price is very reasonable. It has a laid back, relaxed atmosphere. One of the better curry houses in Stafford.

Following a recommendation from another diner we booked a table for 5 on a Saturday evening at 7pm. When we arrived we were astonished to find that the place was packed out with children all of whom appeared to be under 10. There were a small group of adults in attendance with them but the noise and commotion resembled a primary school canteen. There only appeared to be one waiter on duty who looked flustered and perspiring profusely. After about half an hour of being ignored and deafened by the kindergarten noise, we decided to leave. The waiter had no idea we were leaving until I told him of our intention in reply to which he simply grunted at me.

Yesterday evening, for a special occasion, I joined a group of work colleagues for an evening meal at "The Island Masala Fusion Restaurant" Litchfield Road Stafford, is this the restaurant with a change of name (sorry not from Stafford area)? If so, strong recommendation, good quality food at a reasonable price. Restaurant not licensed, so if required please remember to take your bottle along.

First time I'd been here last week and it was lovely! Food was nice the service was pleasant and the staff were friendly ots jut a shame their not licenced so make sure you bring your own drink if your into drinking alcohol! If you forget (like we did) there is a shop just down he road to get some from anyway. But will sure to visit soon!

This restaurant serves delicious food, the staff are friendly and helpful, which made for a great dining experience. I highly recommend Spice Island.

Have been here a few times and had takeaways since moving to Stafford. Food is always consistent excellent quality and the service second to none. The tandoori king prawns are particularly good as is the political debate. Would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant as a great place to eat.

We have been coming here for the last 5 years and have never once had a bad meal so cannot give Spice Island anything less than 5 stars. Always tastes fresh, flavourful and well presented! The food was scrumptious. The service was excellent - they really cared that you were happy with everything. The presentation was delightful. Their take alway food is great too.

Spur of the moment visit. Staff friendly and eager to please. Bespoke meal made for me incorporating all my favourites. Absolutely fabulous and with the 2 for 1 offer this was excellent value. Raju was lovely and enjoyed his passion for the business. Highly receommend.

We went to Spice Island with friends on Christmas eve and had a fantastic meal. All 9 of us had a great meal and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Myself and my husband had lamb balti which was really good and my son had chicken korma which he said was wonderful (he is very fussy so that is high praise indeed believe me!). Our friends had specialty dishes which came out presented beautifully and they said were really good too. The prices are about average I'd say with a balti dish being about 6 pounds. As I say there was 9 of us who all had poppadoms to start and then a main meal with 4 portions of rice, 5 naan breads and 2 portions of chips and the total bill came to about 100 pounds which I don't think is too bad at all. The place is not going to win any awards for the decor which is nothing special but it is clean, the service is good and I have never had a bad meal there yet. I have been a few times with friends when Spice Island have the 2-for-1 meal deals on and have tried the specialty dishes which again, have always been wonderful.

We were the only people in there and had to wait ages for the food to come out. when it started coming out it was very split up and one of our guests had to wait longer for his meal. the rice was cooked well and the mains were okay, just lacked interest and the salad looked like it should have been binned a week ago. The currys all looked the same just different colours. there was no option to have coffee etc after your meal was a very basic place to eat.

The 2 for 1 offer is great value for money! Quality of the food is good as well as the portion size, bring your own booze and friendly staff. Best indian in stafford at the moment.

Found the service poor and the food was awful during a family outing. As a result of this disappointment I took the family to Narvana. The quality of the food is a lot better. On top of that I spent less in Narvana. For the future I will stick to Narvana.

Salty food made with food colouring. Presentation of the food put me off also(sentences written on my starter plate in red coloured sauce!). Had to wait 20 odd minutes for my main course after my starter, restaurant was not particularly busy, also linen had dirty marks. Good note however is you can bring your own alcohol, corkage is free.

This restaurant is my favourite place to go at least once a week. From a choice of many my partner and I are happy to travel a 30 mile trip to enjoy a wonderful dinning experience. The staff are wonderful. They are polite, charming,friendly,knowledgable and give a warm welcome what ever time of day. The food is always excellent, beautifully presented with care to attention to detail. The place is unlicensed and being able to take your own favourite alcoholic drinks saves a lot of cash and reduces the cost of a regular Friday night out. My partner is a red wine lover and hates paying for an expensive bottle not to his choice. My partner has to follow a gluten free diet and the staff always understand and remember his needs. Pay them a visit, you won't be disappointed !

We as a couple go out for Indian food every week! We go to this restaurant although there are at least 20 that are nearer. We have been with friends, as a couple, and sometimes with business colleagues and customers. The only reason I wouldn't recommend here is that I don't want all you lot here so I can't get a table whenever I want!!!!However food is excellent fresh, tasty, made with quality ingredients.Service is good without being over serviced. And you take our own alcoholic drinks so the benefit of that is 2 fold, the bill is far more reasonable and you can have exactly what you want!So go here but make sure there is a least 1 table spare at all times for us as we love it.

The restaurant provides a good choice of menu and the food and presentation is excellent. The manager should reconsider his choice of waiting staff as on more than one occasions we have experience the same waiter whose attitude is rude and arrogant, he evidentally does not want to be there and should not be working with the public .... remove him from this restaurant and it is excellent,

We have been to this restaurant several times and the meals never fail, the staff are always very helpful .The food is always cooked fresh , especially the naan bread, not like some Indian restaurants who microwave the bread!! If you want a lovely .tasty meal then go here.

Wow! What fabulous food. We normally have takeaway from here but tonight we were child free and decided to dine out. I'm so glad we did. My husband and I said how amazing the food was and now great the service was. We had starters and mains for less than £35. Bring your own drinks which is great to keep the cost down. The food was the best we have tasted at an Indian restaurant for a long time. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The place was packed and yet we didn't wait ages for our food. Thank you for a lovely evening spice island. :)))))))

Visited mid week with children. Pleasant atmosphere and attentive unhurried service. Having said that we did have to wait a very long time between courses - not sure why, as there were only about 4 other diners . However the food was hot and very tasty . The presentation of the food is bit fussy for my taste but that's just personal opinion . It would be nice if they offered some set menus as this is always a good way of trying something new .

We have been going to this restaurant since we moved to Stafford 2 years ago and have never had a bad experience here. We tried other curry houses but this is our favourite, the staff are always friendly and the service is excellent!

Have had several takeaways from here in the past that have been really nice. Decided to go to the Restauant for a meal on a Sunday evening and won't be going again! The food was fine, but the lack of service and enthusiam from the staff was just appalling. The restaurant wasn't busy but I felt as though we were an inconvenience by being there.

O ambiente é muito legal, não eh muito grande e nem muito pequeno, ideal para famílias e algumas comemorações, crianças são bem-vindas, mas não é o foco do local.A comida é fantástica, o Menu é bem variado e apresenta Entradas muito boas, Refeições Típicas e até algumas Refeições Inglesas.O restaurante não é rápido, mas isso não significa que seja ruim, apenas que não é o foco do mesmo, por isso, vá com tempo, peça uma bebida e uma Entrada enquanto espera o prato principal.O preço é compatível com a região e não assusta.
