Spice Hut in Birmingham

Overhyped! The wings looked and tasted horrible, doner meat wasn’t too bad. Very overpriced for the quality of the food you’re getting but the brothers behind the tills are very friendly and provide good service.

Dead dip burger, dead naga sauce, cold fries..dead branch. Mayb naga donner is their only best food.

Today i ordered chicken wings and it’s tested bad like old food

Mixed doner- lamb was good but chicken pieces were old and dry. Nan was old and hard. Wings- bloody old and refried in old oil. Naga wings- looks scary like ree colouring and old. Straight outa hells kitchen. This is a disgrace especially as bengali Muslims we should uphold the need to serve fresh food. Fast food is already bad for health but to serve OLD refried fast food is unacceptable. Gave 2 stars out of my generosity.

We had to go by holiday inn hotel to collect our food as the driver wasn’t willing to come to travelodge hotel where we were staying. Also we had chips missing from our food so we wasn’t happy about it.

Food was just what I expected. Super spicy food, like all the spice huts. Shame the area smells and the people loitering around there also stink really bad. Pay the extra and get it delivered.

Seriously what the hell am I eating spent £40 for the family and even a dog won’t go near it. Don’t know what others taste buds are like m. Stale fries, donner kebab swimming in a sea of blood, fried chicken even the homeless can’t eat. Stay away from this place

Fire food but i get the toilet real bad all day and after eating.

I ordered a lamb bhuna the meat was not cooked or boiled properly as it was quite hard! Also, the lamb bhuna had leaked meaning there was so much oil covering both bags.. not very impressed to be honest

The donner boxes were squashed and ripped and the donner was all over the bag. It made a bad mess and I want a refund

Ordered a starter, 2 Tandoori Chickens with 4PC Lamb Chops & 2 PC Sheek Kebabs and 2 Nan. 2 Sheek Kebabs and the 2 Naans were missing.

Poor service, order missing food, delivery late. Was given 4 chicken nibblets free as spent over certain amount which tasted of just spicy chilli (understand why they were free).

The London spice hut is way better. This one is unfortunately slightly pricey and portion size is smaller. The London one leaves the chilly sauce out on table. This one you have to ask evertime you need sauce

I used to or from this restaurant but this time I’m so much upset. The food was dry and burned . The food maker use to much oil and sauce with colour. I had to throw in the bin.

Ordered 2 Large chips but was sent 2 medium Fries. if I wanted fries I would've ordered fries! Peshawar naan was old with flaking bits inside. it was also 7 inches where as Peshawar naans be exceptionally large and enough for 2/3 people. The naan sent wouldn't suffice even 1 person. The lamb curry was good but was too spicy even though I specified it to be medium.

I received a burger unfir for human consumption, reported the issue to Just Eat. Made me retch something rottern was in the burger.

Ordered shatkura, told em I eat spicy and and I was told the medium spice is really hot and was kindly forced to go with the medium so I did, no spice at all and very disappointed with the food oh and yeh I found a beard hair on my food !!! M defo going back to get my money back or a replace my meal !. Period!

I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering dining from Spice Hut Takeaway. Food safety should always be a priority, and unfortunately, my experience suggests that this establishment falls short in that regard. I urge the management of Spice Hut to take food safety more seriously and to ensure that their kitchen adheres to strict hygiene standards. For customers, I recommend exercising caution and considering other options for takeaway where food safety and quality are prioritized. I ordered sheekh kebab but it was not fresh at all. They used frozen ones - very disappointed as they claim to be fresh and make hot food

Visited here as a treat with a friend from Brum who highly recommend this place to me. The burgers are dangerous, their naga wings are deadly and their blood red chilli sauce is lethal. I usually have it with a cold coleslaw just to take the edge off. These Bengalians surely know how to cook great fodder. Keep it up lads 💪🏻

It's Halal, second time coming here from Oxfordshire. Run by Bengalis. So you know the food is going to bang. No music 🎶, no free mixing , it's a pleasure to spend good money here for value . May Allah preserve and protect their business .

It’s all leaked all over bag and food missing

What I ordered and what I received exceeded my expectations. However, when they say hot, they really do mean it so if you like south Asian style hot dishes then opt in for the hot option otherwise stick to medium. This was one of the best takeaway biryani’s I have eaten in a very long time. It was almost as good as a home-cooked biryani. For a shop that’s known for its Donna kebab, they did a really good job with the curries better than any curry House I’ve had.

Not like the original one in London. Ordered a £50 order spices was grainy, sauces tasted plasticky as though it’s been sorted for a long time in the sun or somewhere hot. Tasteless unfortunately

Extremely high levels of RED food colouring on the naga Donner meat and naga wings which could be a health hazard. red colouring dripping and completely stained my fingers which I could not wash off.

Usually spice hut is perfect in east London. This one food was cold and not up to usual 10/10 standard. However spice hut usually gives best food ever in the world so I’ll always go again and give more chances.

Spice Hut missed out 2 x large fries, so had to go without fries with my naga wings and I was fasting all day so was hoping to have a good feast. its a good thing I opened the bag when it was delivered as I would have had a bigger shock if I open then bag just be for breaking my fast. all they had said when I rang them up was sorry mistakes happen and said there going to refund my money will have to wait and see if they keep there word and refund my money. Delivery driver was polite and delivered on time as they work for just eat and not Spice Hut. Really disappointed 👎

Very disappointed about the missing item. This isn’t the first time it’s happened. If you order from here be ready for missing items as it’s the third time it’s happened to me. They said they’d sent me a replacement but I’d have to place an order for a small item, all in all not worth the hassle with the service and delivery charge so the mistake wasn’t rectified. I was told they have no drivers available to deliver my missing food. With it being Iftar and having friend over even worse. Will nee

First time at Spice Hut, always see it as I pass the Coventry Road, so I thought to check it out on a takeway order. It did impress me as the food was good for a takeway. Ordered myself a Donner Burger Meal (Curry Donner) and to be honest it actually hit the spot. Good service from the lads too.

Excellent quality of service and the food is amazing.

First time visiting this branch , and parking on Coventry Road was a bit of a struggle, but totally worth it. Tried the loaded box 1 special offer, and it blew me away. They've got this awesome attention to detail in their food that you can't miss and shows they really put love into it. Portion sizes were spot-on, and the spices in the donner and wings were a flavour explosion. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and everything came out pretty quick. Was slightly let down by the sauces they gave but overall a solid experience that's got me thinking about my next visit. Looking forward to exploring more of their menu!

Used to be the best naga donnor but honestly don't know what's happened, I always used to buy their naga donnor but recently when you ask for "extra hot", they don't even make it spicy or add any naga pieces in like they used to?? It's literally a hint of spice, might aswell have plain donnor! Last 3x I been same issue, didn't bother complaining as I didn't want to cause any inconvenience but don't think I'd be going back here anymore. Took few of my friends here recently and it wasnt upto it's normal standard, not happy! Also, I have no clue why one day they charge £6 and another £7 for the same thing even if I order "extra hot" so silly? Like stick to one price, different people say different prices here depending on who serves you...

Naga donner and wings have no flavour of naga whatsoever, some btec level chilli sauce and green chillies and upped price. If your looking for naga food this place ain’t the one.

EDIT: I have now gone down from 5 to 1 star. After ordering and taking home naga wings I saw they were all covered in chicken hair. They had not been cleaned at all! It’s a shame that after going here for over a year I can’t go back. Photo is after I had removed some hair already trying to see what it could be.

Absolutely terrible service - they do not understand anything and particularly cannot understand English. I placed an order and received something completely different. The hygiene in this place is terrible. Food, 2/10. DO NOT LET HELAL UDDIN TAKE YOUR ORDER!!!!!!!!! If you’re looking for spicey or Naga donner, go elsewhere. This is definitely not worth the hype nor the money.

Very good service, the taste of the naga is the same as Luton and east London, shame they don’t have the chips, Nan drink combo for the naga doner as the meals taste better on the Nan bread rather than chips in the box but this is personal preference. Would recommend to anyone wanting that spice fix

Unlike the one on green St, London, this branch didn't live up to the standard. I purchased naga wings which were very plain with excessive batter on it. The price charged wasn't worth it. Regrettably I personally wouldn't be going there.

Massive menu but only ever tried the shatkora and naga doners... Hits the spot if you're looking for some decent trash takeout to burn your tongue. Can't comment on the rest of their offerings.

Very poor experience they never answer the phone, I have been calling passed 1 week but unfortunately they keep you waiting and will never answer the calls, all I wanted to tell them I want touch hot on donner kebab but for some reason no one speaks English so they avoid to answer. I will avoid as customer service is below standard and medium hot food is xtra extra extra hot! They don't know the difference between hot medium touch hot and mild, please avoid and this review is done by my self who is sylheti so please if you want to experience spice hut go to London branches in Mile end or Burdett Road, I've lost hope with these guys

It’s decent. I just don’t understand why I need to wait more than 5 mins at a fast food establishment. I ordered chicken and chips, and some donner with fries = 25 min wait.

Food was good in taste. The only thing that lets them down is everything is precooked and just heated.

Naga donner is good if they used real naga chillies.. they use normal chillies and red pepper and naga pickle. People are nice.
