Made an order at 7:20pm via the website as I always have done, had received an email confirming as well as payment taken. At 8:30pm when it didn’t arrive, I called the shop & they said they had no order from me saying I must have ordered from somewhere else. I’d explained I had the confirmation and had read out address, order & order number multiple times, was told I was wrong and told me to call back in 10 mins. Called back and went through same thing again for them to continue with rudeness but eventually tell me they’d found the order, no apology, it wasn’t their fault. Had to basically beg for an apology, they’d said I could cancel the order if I wanted to & they said food would come in 40 minutes, it came in an hour so finally ate food after 10pm. No apologies or compensation given. Have ordered with them for years but will not order again

Absolutely the worst curry we have ever tasted..Madras was not spicy whatsoever and can't even explain the taste. No way was it anything like I have tasted before. Pathia was like water and tasteless.The food was thrown away. Never again.

Terrible service. Sadly they have been taken over by new management and the high standard that once was has now gone. Older reviews from years back reflect the amazing place, service and quality of food it used to be, however now it's just abysmal. Food and customer service extremely poor. What an absolute shame. Take my advice. Don't waste hard earned money here. Go elsewhere and save yourselves the waste of time, effort and disappointment.

I didn't know they had changed and been taken over by some other people I will never use this place again I was charged for my order for delivery which I never received charged 16 pounds which was taken out My account and no food a utter disgrace

It was awful experience they where rude, I paid £21.66 on just eat and then we rang them to see how long it was gonna be then they started telling me we need to cancel the order and come in and pay cash, but there was no option to cancel they where no help with that either just told me I had to pay another £20 we tried to explain more but they reminded £20 we got family to ring them and and said we have paid £40 for a meal for 2 people which is rediculous as we paid for this meal twice we had to call them multiple times till they agree to give us our cash back we paid! Just because they haven’t put on just eat cash only so it’s there own problem we most likely not order from here again for how rude they where for if all didn’t help whatsoever thankfully yes we did get our £20 back but still nothing happened on just eat

Shocking ordered kebab starter it came well done and dry witch i didn't ask for no fryed onions or salad and mint yougert witch you normally get curry was like soup with pieces of chicken in it had meals from here before but never again

Absolutely abysmal..the food was disgusting. I ordered from here went to pick it up the guy at the back cooking was OK but another guy doing the salads was picking his nose. They gave me salad which I threw away but the mains were not great either I had the mint curry gave me the diarrhoea. Honestly 3rd world place this is I swear save your cash and health go elsewhere.

Called the customer after it being 10 minutes late and it coming up on my just eat that it was delivered and he said sorry that was a mistake he’s just leaving and it will be ten minutes! Wasn’t a great curry and rice and naan was cold

Sorry guys its my last time ordering, ive given balti shack a few opportunities now and everytime same .. everything red and oily ,sag aloo red and oily , chicken burnt and hard . Mrs gave it a 2 out of 10 i give it a 3 alot going in the bin.

Normally curry tubs are full. This week they were half empty. Which means 1 x1/2 tub would equal 3 curries as the tub flairs out at the top. Paying enough for the curry. Please make sure tub is full.

The lamb came and was too tough. Over cooked curry wasn’t spicy and naan was cold

Second time ordering from here first time was decent second time was terrible. Took over 1hr 30mins to come, curry was more like a soup and wasn't much of it. The nan was rock hard in some spots and overall just tasted like a bland mess defo will not be coming back here again. Quality has took a huge nose dive

The tikka masala didn’t taste how I would have usually expected it to taste not the best but not the worst, everything else tasted okay.

1st few orders were lovely tonight's was horrible, food was really salty and i complained that my keema naan had zero meat in it, they to be fare sent another but again no meat in it at all, girl got a bit argumentative on my 2nd complaint but told her will never order again from there, even the portions were smaller but the quality was awful, meat didn't taste like chicken at all, sorry you were good once....never again!!!!

Another excellent meal. Delivered quickly and the food was piping hot Generous portions and delicious. I have this a few times a week and is great value for money. Can definitely recommend.

Ordered Fish Pakora main (which is priced at £7, got 7 pieces) but there was near to no fish in them. They were 80% batter, 20% fish, which was very disappointing (considering each piece is £1 each), Last time I ordered it was lovely and had more fish than batter, but this time was ridiculous. Please let whoever prepares that dish know…other than that, the rest of my food was lovely (mushroom Bahjee, rice and chips)

Ordered food through Uber eats at 10.35pm estimated delivery time 11.42 pm food did not arrive tried to ring store through uber app ,number not recognised, rang store direct, no reply,rang store the following day, explained what had happened and they said they had delivered the food and basically called me a liar !! Rang me back and said if I wanted a refund I had to contact uber eats. What great customer service (not!!) Avoid this restaurant both unreliable and incompetent!

Awful food. Pasanda was more like pureed tomatoes rather than the creamy curry it's supposed to be and onion bhaji were that burnt they were black and hardley any cheese on cheese nan. Certainly won't be ordering from here again or recommending to anyone.

If anyone is a regular at balti shack I wouldn't order again. After a couple of months not ordering we ordered last night, the food was awful, burnt bhaji, dry undercooked rice, the chicken tasted really cheap and the naan had cheese just threw on top and went everywhere. I don't know whether they have new owners or new chefs but nothing is the same. The quality of the food was really poor. Its a shame really because Balti Shack was the best around! Won't be ordering again guys, sorry!

Won’t be ordering again. Me and my family used to love the food from Balti Shack, but the quality and taste of the food has significantly decreased. We paid £1.20 for a pot of mint sauce and received the smallest amount possible! The naan bread was very burnt and the cheese on top was like cottage cheese.. absolutely disgusting. The chips were undercooked, I had to throw them in the air fryer for 10 minutes. And the rice and curry were just about edible. What a shame it has gone downhill.

I've ordered from Balti Shack, numerous times. The food has always been excellent and filling. Very quick delivery, and great service. Cannot be beaten

New owners and the recipes and ingredients are completely different but still hold the name. Tikka masala is now dark red and grainy with cheap dry chicken, I suspect bucket chicken. Naans no longer woven with ingredients like garlic or cheese and onion but rather just slapped on top of a plain naan. Rice not seasoned properly, very bland. Gutting as this was the best Indian for miles, why keep the name and cheap out on everything. You know you’re just conning people and it will only work once and they won’t return, which I will not be.

Food has always been the best I've had but the last month the quality has plummeted the taste is different and last Friday I ordered and I thought it tasted a bit funny when I tried the chicken tikka I threw it away as the chicken was off don't think I'll be using again

Delivery was over two hours. After calling several times from 85 minutes post order onwards we were repeatedly told 15 minutes to delivery. We called bookyup who we booked through who called Balti Shack. They claimed the food was only just leaving them so bookyup refused a refund as it would be fresh and delivered just over two hours after placing the order. When the food arrived we have on camera their driver stating our food HAD been in his car an hour. It was cold, stewed and watery. Basically inedible. The restaurant refused to speak to us and said erm then hung up. Bookyup refused a refund as Balti Shack said the food would be delivered fresh and hot. Dreadful service, inedible food, delivered 130 minutes (two hours ten minutes) after accepting the order and with multiple lies. It'll be a trip to the credit card company for a refund as we have the video evidence the food was inedible. I just feel sorry for the driver.

Really good when I first started using it, ordered chicken Balti high is what I usually order but last 2 times it wasn't enjoyable at all, it was more like chicken tikka than Balti the chicken was different. I used to really enjoy the Balti one of the best I’ve tasted but not anyone. Also the chips were lovely these have also change. Awful experience. When we first ordered from this place it was great. Now 3rd time ordering, it was terrible. We ordered using uber eats and have had to complain and would like half of our money back at least. Butter chicken terrible and bland, chicken wasn't proper chunks, like it had been in a blender. I ordered a chicken madras for myself and they delivered chicken tikka madras, that is not what I ordered blatantly reused chicken from a starter. Onion bhajiis undercooked, stale poppadoms. Not what we expect when we are spending £50 on a take away. I understand its Saturday night and possibly busy, but that doesn't mean you have to compromise on quality and what has actually been ordered. Avoid like the plague!!!!! Attached is a picture of the butter chicken with what seems like blended up chicken. Poor quality, very little taste.

They charge an extra pound for ‘desi style’. The food was plain and not very spicy because I chose the normal option. Charging an extra pound to add in more flavour is ridiculous

I had a chicken and mushroom curry with a keema naan, it was one of the best curries ive had! A+

My wife and I always use Balti Shack takeaway and we love their foods. Very quick service and text us after they realised that we were deaf and quick response with the text message due to items was not available and gave us alternative. Look forward to eat more of Balti Shack in the future :)
