If you’re in Quinton, straight up this is the best food you can get. I’ve lived here for 15 years so I can guarantee it. And I’ll go as far as to say the vest battered chips spot in the whole city. Incredible dinner and mixed meats as well as traditional English food options. They seem to be a lovely family owned restaurant so the service is genuine and amazing. Super kind people who deserve your business.

Standard kebab meat and delivered far later than I was initially told.

We had this mostly on just eat the food was always fresh and hot the southern fried chicken if available was always cooked perfectly with an extra spice the fish was always perfectly cook plus the kebab meat was always on point always on time never late always phone if the item was not there nice and polite staff can't believe it has so many bad reviews battered chips fantastic 😋

I placed an order which then came up on app saying enjoy your food. It hadn't even arrived. The food finally arrived about 30 mins late. The chips were almost cold. The service on this occasion at this restaurant was terrible.

Chips were not fresh cold and hard the donner meat was cold not good at all I advise people not to go there

I have been waiting nearly 2 hours for the food! Called the restaurant and they were rude unhelpful and said to just carry on waiting! I gave up and have gone out to get food elsewhere instead! The food has still not arrived

We used to love the food from Ridge Chippy, but the quality has been variable of late. Worse still: the delivery times are appalling. We finally received our order an hour and a half after ordering, which, for fish and chips, is extraordinarily poor. No apologies given.

the food is almost always missing something you ordered or absolutely freezing DO NOT ORDER we had undercooked chips delivered to us burgers with FROZEN buns and the people in there are terrible they're always arguing and just so dopey they take so long to piece the order together and it's usually faulty and what's gross is they don't even use hairnets!! check your food for hairs atop the already long list of issues. went in there once an the owner was watching a tiktok live while making my food. she forgot an item even though she asked what we wanted like 3 times. horrific to say the least

I order food from yourselves on a regular basis but tonight I'm really unhappy with my meal the kebab was really dry hardly any sauce or salad I'm disappointed in how you haven't resolved this

it was 30 minutes late, so only just warm. there was a pickled onion missing from order, and they sent curry sauce, instead of the mushy peas I ordered

Slightly disappointed with what I ordered unfortunately. I ordered a cone of Battered Chips and was sent Normal Chips. The 2 Cheese Croquets that I ordered, 1 arrived and it was a squashed mess. The Sampi that was ordered, some of it was over cooked. Disappointing because I have ordered from here before and the quality is normally really good. Not sure what happened this time.

Delivery was within their time frame but still took over an hr. Wasn’t a complicated order, everything was “soggy” including battered chips. Batter on tinned roe was thick & soggy. Sorry won’t be using again.

Food lovely but over 2 hours from ordering is not acceptable. The original delivery time was long enough but then to be over half an hour after that making it over 2 hours, to be told there was a glitch with the system and also on delivery it’s really busy

Chips in curry sauce were delicious, and so was the large cod. Also the delivery guy was very pleasant.

Shocked by the reviews being left recently. Other than delivery being a little bit longer than anticipated (mostly because the drivers been told to go there, but always still before Ubers latest times)…. We’ve NEVER had an issue The food has always been amazing quality, never been sick and I regularly recommend this chip shop to people who say the same. The battered chips are amazing, and their chicken tikka meat i personally think is some of the best in the area. If in the future this should change then I’ll update my review but as of now it’s a 👍 from me. (Added photos on 14th feb 24 as food was fantastic as always)

Ordered food through uber all items checked off on list, not all items in bag, called to explain was told that I can have free one next time 🤣 as that resolved leaving one person hungery now customer service shocking just get passed from one person to another on the phone will use another local chip shop from now on

1hr 55 mins for delivery. This is the 2nd and last time it's happened. Food was ok but only Luke warm. I tried to call for a check on delivery but no answer. Sorry, but not ordering again.

Food was delayed then late. Came warm if that. Ordered large mixed meat and chips came as medium. Normal chips look like they’ve been tossed around. Gone downhill. Have always used this chippy but the last few times have been shocking.

over an hour late. called up after an hour said 5 mins away. took another half hour. called back then driver turned up. food was cold so threw it and made oven food. what a mess

tasty food but issues with the drink. initially none delivered, they went away for over an hour then came back with a flat out of date pepsi.

After ordering kebab meat and chips on Saturday night I thought it was very low quality but that happens sometimes! I ate about a third of the meat then just ate the chips. However the next morning I was vomiting every 10 minutes all day long. I don’t think I’ve ever had food poisoning before but it was the worst experience ever. I’d rather give birth again! The only thing it could be is the kebab meat and chips from Ridge Chippy. My partner just had battered chips and sauce and he was fine. Will never be ordering from here again.

Took around 2 hours for food to arrive. Ordered at 6.15. The app said my food was on way at 8.25, then said delivered at 8.45. But had not been. Clearly cheating the system so it doesn't look like they are late. Then a young child (maybe about 8?) Knocked the door, hugging the bag of food, this was after 9pm? The food was ok, no issues but delivery service and dishonesty with time etc has put me off ordering from here again.

Missing drink yet again. Tried to call them and they declined to send a replacement or to refund the missing item. Disappointing customer service tbh. Usually love the battered chips and most of the food was tasty; but there was quite a lot of black parts on the chips, so not all edible. Small portions.

Really good food… good quality & delicious.

This place used to be so so good, but unfortunately the past 3 orders have been horrendous, from missing items to inedible food. Today was the last straw for me my food was drenched literally drenched in vinegar I couldn’t eat it. The past orders have been full of grease too super greasy! Not great at all which is a shame as I really liked this place, but I can’t and won’t be ordering from ridge chippy again.

Excellent quality goods from this place. Tried the Onion Rings along with other items this time. You could tell that they weren't shop brought standard. Real rings of Onion battered and deep fried. Wonderful.

Joke of a service. 1 and half hours late. Tried to call the restaurant with no answer every time. Driver was rude and said he doesn't need to be sorry the food is late. Finally arrive to miss not getting chips. Reason for getting a chippy is for the chips. Poor Poor service

Terrible customer service we tried to order over the phone today 25/09/2023 and was told to order online because they are busy and the woman on the phone just put the phone down we have been loyal customers for a while and the food used to be great but the last 4 or 5 orders have been wrong. NEVER AGAIN. plenty more food outlet's that can have our £120 a month

Come on guys what ya doin? Food was cold. I keep giving you the benefit of the doubt cus the first couple times I ordered it was lovely. But this is twice on the run now having cold food. So unless you send me a complimentary dish that's hot and fresh to prove your food can still be good unfortunately I'm gone from here. Shame cus I love battered chips. But not cold ones. Fish was cold too. Think it had just come out the ocean

Excellent tasting Plaice and also a decent size. Best I've had for a long time. The Battered Chips are good. They also sell just good old Chicken, not Southern Fried Chicken like most places. Give this place a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Chips were cooked this time but they was only just slightly warm. The sausage was okay. The mixed meat burger had one piece of tikka meat and one piece of the other chicken and a small amount of Donner meat which was cold. Unfortunately this was not the first experience of not a good meal we waited this long hoping that it would be better because it used to be our favourite chippy. But it has not been good the last 3 times.

Second time using this outlet and once again the food was excellent. Nothing more to be said. Try it for yourself.

Chips were all hard and had a funny taste so it all went in the bin.

Ordered from here many times. Food is always nice but if you use the delivery service be prepared to wait longer than the time on their website. Says 45 minutes for delivery. Yesterday I called after 45 minutes to be told my food was still in the shop. 1 hour 25 minutes in total for the food to arrive and it was luke warm and needed to be heated.this has been the same the last 3 orders! I will never order from here again

Always excellent, battered chips are the best

Food was cold on arrival, which is probably understandable as it was 45 minutes late

Portion size of the chips for 4.20 was not at the usual standard (small) the chips were more like mashed potato which was disappointing. There wasn't much meat in the naan and the delivery time was extremely long. Food was unfortunately pretty cold too.

It took 1hr and 20 mins in total to arrive from ordering.

Hello, I'm writing this as I sent it yesterday but it didn't go through, I'm disappointed in the customer service from the restaurant and the lateness of my food. Food said that it was going to be with us between 6:45-7:15 only for it to get to 7:15 and it got extended for another hour! I contacted the restaurant and they said soon as a driver comes they will send it out, they couldn't give me an exact time of when. I have a young daughter and she goes to bed at 8 so it would of been to late to wait for it then. So I decided to go and collect it. But when I got home the food was soggy and cold as if they made it a long time ago so my daughter couldn't eat it and I had to quickly cook something for her. All of the kebab meals were cold and portions didn't seem sufficient for the size I ordered, a waste of my money to receive cold food over an hour late!

Food hot but tasted re headed. Dry fish, hard chips, half of chips not battered as ordered, nothing fresh. £70 order for larger family in the bin. Delivery 1 hour 30 mins from ordering

Unfortunately the last two times we have ordered the chips have been horrible most of them still hard certainly not cooked enough and the delivery times have been ridiculous. It used to be the best chips we had found but unfortunately I don't think we shall be ordering again. Very disappointed
