We travel from london to Birmingham for a weekend away , first we went to Jungle lounge on the 11th , we love it, good music and good food . Jungle lounge is 95% more mix of culture and people. On saturday the 12th of oct 2024 , we went to Aura lounge, this lounge is mostly 90% Asia mens and 95% Indian music, Firstly this lounge so disrespectful i could not believe it. There were a group of blacks girls celebrating their birthday, the management of the lounge , turn off the music and put on boxing match for hours. Imagine going out to celebrate your birthday and you have to , wait for boxing game to finished before you can cut your cake, no music for hour and half. A few ladies made a Complain but the music was still turn off. I could see the ladies were so upset. The people running that place has no respect for womans, i saw a few ladies left the lounge. I will advise you if you want a good place to go with good music, Good environment, don't go to Aura lounge , The music is not that good and poor service. I heard they stop playing music all the time when football or boxing is showing on Saturdays . But you can still go there and find out yourself. Good luck

I went with my boyfriend on my birthday. They have a delicious birthday piece of cake for 10£ with fire design for the occasion. The drinks were very good, the deserts and the shisha were great. The atmosphere is very fancy and instagramy 🤩 was a good experience I will come back 👍🏼 I need to try the sushi

Poor service food was cold. My red velvet cake was a frozen rock, entertainment fire dancer excellent played nice music shisha were delicious and guys serving shisha were very friendly. But I would return for shisha ONLY. I not waste my money on food here again.

We came all the way from Scotland and it was our first time coming to this lounge and honestly the service and atmosphere was amazing! The manager was very welcoming and gave us good recommendations on shisha flavours, the Mocktail was also delicious, I would highly recommend visiting the lounge and I will definitely be coming back here😊

Great place, much needed premium lounge after recent closures. The service was amazing and shisha was nicely made. The food did take some time to arrive but with how busy it was it's understandable. Fair pricing too. Decor was above average, the lounge has not opened long ago so I can imagine the menu will be expanded in time etc. Overall we had a great night and would recommend Aura even based on the service alone 10/10. Some of these reviews are ridiculous.

Visited on a week day, the place was quiet which is what I liked. Was a quick catchup with the girls, and we ordered food and they ordered shisha. As I don't smoke, I can't rate the shisha. However, I can rate the food. It looked appeasing but the food was very normal, nothing exceptional about it. My friends ordered the burger, they enjoyed it. I just think it was overpriced for what it was. However, came out quickly. Decor, it's photo pleasing as there are many cute spots you can take selfies and pictures. Would I visit again, yeah I would as overall its ok. Just nothing spectacular about the place in my opinion.

The Longue is very gorgeous and has a lovely design, Unfortunately the staff are not very accommodating. The staff ignored us while we waited at the bar and continued to talk amongst themselves. When we interrupted them we was advised to wait, once i explained we already had a booking they was a bit nicer. The music was good, however we did not stay as the staff honestly made us feel unwelcomed when we did not have cash. Obviously it's cash only for a reason but they should make that clear on the website.

I visited this place for the first time and was excited to be there. I loved the interior decoration and was planning to order some food. However, the extremely loud music volume ruined everything for me. Despite asking them to lower the volume, they ignored me, which I found very rude. My ears were hurting from the noise. In the end, I had to leave the place without having anything to eat. They should take into consideration customer’s requirements very well.

Me and my wife we made a random last minute decision to have Shisha on Wednesdays 1st of May our first visit since 2016 was absolutely amazing brother Dee the manger made it very comfortable and a memorable one for me n my wife. I did my birthday at aura . The place was nice as well as the food but the only upsetting experience I received is the lounge not offering alternatives for some people with allergies therefore refusing to serve . Very unfortunate, this ruined my experience at the place .

4 prawns in a £13 stir-fry is crazy. At least 6. Otherwise the food is great. Wings were good. Drinks decent. Mojitos shouldn't have mint syrup though (unnecessary). Good service, great atmosphere.

Really nice place inside - well decorated and spacious and good vibes, good music / DJ. Great service (I was sceptical after reading some reviews) but everyone really helpful and attentive. Food was delicious, shisha very nice - only improvement was the nachos had cold cheese - otherwise brilliant experience and date night with my wife.

This lounge is absolutely gorgeous inside and has a good dj, but the staff are rude and I would not recommended. We walked in and the staff completely ignored us, we were standing around for quite a while, Service is slow because the staff can’t be bothered. They only accept cash but don’t tell you this information in the booking which would be useful.

Food was beautiful, staff really nice.

The food and shisha was good tbh but honestly the service was abysmal. First we sat upstairs and then had to ask staff multiple times to give us a seat downstairs. Once downstairs we had a cake for a friends birthday and I had to tell the staff at least maybe 6/7 times to bring it out. Then had to wait another 20mins for them to give some spoons and plates which was genuinely frustrating. If ur going for shisha and just food then maybe ok but service is 1/10. Would not recommend!

The service was absolutely SHOCKING, we had a booking but still had to wait in a huge line which ended outside and it was freezing cold. Also, the staff members were extremely rude. If you needed something and ask a staff member they were no help. I was in a group. One of the people in the group did not have cutlery so we requested it and each time we had to ask a different staff member because no one would actually go and get it, they would just reply okay and never come back. The french Montana looking guy with the plaits was the rudest, he would look lost when you ask a question and would literally ignore you at times and just wonder off around the lounge. All the staff looked so lost aswell I know it was a busy day as it was New Year’s Eve but there’s no way the customer service can be this bad. I hope someone can resolve this and maybe get back to me if possible. Thanks

Absolutely horrible. My food came cold took 45 minutes for this to come out. My friends chicken stunk. Atmosphere is dead. Seems they only pull out the stocks for the so called influencers. Don’t believe what you see on line. Literally the place was dirty chairs burned. Cold and miserable.

Amazing place to have your food, drinks and shisha served in one place! As a long time shisha smoker, I can tell proper flavours are used and the shisha is made by experienced staff members! Raekwon, who was the person who served me was pleasant and very helpful in helping us choose what food and drinks we wanted to order. Will definitely be back when I’m in Birmingham again!

This place is not how it looks to be on social media! the food is not nice and neither is the shesha, it is also unhygienic as their was hair in the dessert we ordered and the mocktails did not even taste like the flavours they were supposed to be. also chairs were dirty and staff were not the best, talking under their breath a lot and just don’t have the best manners! disappointed.

Freezing cold and I’ve had food poisoning after visiting Aura so have my friends.

Me and my friends came yesterday for the first time. Looks like a lovely place but not cosy at all. I ordered chicken Goyzas and friend ordered a wrap. Was absolutely tasteless. Plates were cracked. Mocktail (passionfruit) was terrible. Worst of all this morning me and my friend through up. So the food definitely did the damage. Toilets were ABSOLUTELY filthy. Fecal stains all over the toilet seats. Clearly nobody cleans them. Very cold place with no heating. Staff were the only positive thing about this place. They were friendly. Not coming back here again.

Alcohol free venue but great for shisha and vibes. Mocktails in cute glasses and the best back drops for pics. Only negative no alternative milk for hot drinks and you have to get up and pay at the bar, no table service. I went during the day on a Wednesday I'm guessing it gets packed on a weekend and you'd struggle for a table.I'll definitely be back :)

Went for sovacco frozen smurf and frozen blueberry, really nice smoke. Food chicken and prawn beef chow mein and hot wings and bbq wings was really nice and fresh decent portion alright for the price u pay. Quality food and shisha definately will reccomend for a good night out. Staff are nice and check your coal and smoking experience

Sadly having been there a few times, the previous recent visit was so awful I had to write this review. I saw others get fustrated and so did I. Music was far too loud to make conversation but that I can tolterate if thats the vibe they are going for fine. But the SERVICE is terrible. One staff had his girlfriend at the table at the back. When we was asked the fringe haircut asian boy for service for anything he basically said yh in a very poor i dnt care dont ask me again and did not return with forks nor tissues nor coals. We waited 35 minutes with my phone timer after asking 3 staff members only interested in tidying up quickly so they can be home, my brother had to get up TWICE whilst ‘trying to enjoy the £26.00 each shisha experience’ to try and have the ‘first’ round of coals. I seen a staff member serve someone with a change of coals right in front of my face after 20minutes to a table with his girlfriend and he went and sat down too. Then he was up again cleaning so he was definitely on shift. This service shocked me and our flavour was burnt and one of the shisha’s did not start up. We eventually got a guy with glasses who tried his best to turn the experience around almost 1hr 10 minutes into the place around 1.30am needing to leave soon. Shocked. Only the glasses guy made me give this place a 2 otherwise Zero. Quick to take the money but can’t provide the basic such a timely coal change. Resulted in having to get two heads changed which just wasted further time and the time out became exhausting waiting around.

I loved this place. The only con is that they don’t serve alcohol (but I respect it). They stay open late and have good service and shisha (hookah). The dynamite shrimp wowed me. It was the perfect amount of spicy and was drenched in the delicious sauce. The prawn fried rice was such a huge portion but was also good. We went twice in one day lol. And the music was excellent! This place is a vibe!

The chicken burger is a frozen processed burger even though I was told it was going to be a fresh fillet. Food was cold and service very bad. Shisha was bland and the male staff have a bad attitude. Shockingly bad experience, AVOID!

Good shisha, chowmien. SJ was pefect at serving and very welcoming, regularly refreshed the coal and ensured we're enjoying the stay, ambiance is good. Day time, so not very crowded as other reviews.

This has great aesthetics, ideal place for brunch and friends get together, No alcohol service here but the Shisha definitely is a great substitute. Their cocktail are absolutely 💯. Light music giving the appropriate lounge vibe. I’m going back for sure

For a Wednesday night, Aura was a good and chilled out place, food was delicious and warm the shisha was perfect, and all affordable, all the decor and lighting and aesthetics make it an Instagramable place 👌🏻 I would definitely recommend Aura lounge overall a perfect a place to meet up with friends and family.

Shisha not as good as it used to be

Came to Birmingham for an exhibition at the NEC. Never been Aura before and put it this way out of 3 days I was here on this trip, I spent 2 evening at Aura. You literally get more than what you pay for at this lounge. Chicken wings were fresh and crispy. The sushi was very good! The chicken popcorn was next levels. The staff were friendly and catered to your every need. The only downside is that you have to go to the counter and order every drink/food because its need to be paid for in advance. Which is understand why they have done this but it’s all long. Great experience.

Good vibes, pretty aesthetic and good service!

I’m fussy but I can tell you the food was great as well as ambience. We went around 4pm. Lots of seating. It wasn’t busy, maybe two other tables occupied and 3 - 4 waiters. Very attentive, good customer service. And the chef was so lovely too and came and served us too, adding more dry ice to our table for effect. I wish we could have left tips for him and the waiter but we didn’t have cash and no cash machine within walkable distance :( maybe next time or we’ll go back. Lovely atmosphere and air con on a warm day: music a bit loud but it is a Shisha lounge too so but during would prefer lower music. High recommend the sushi, wok noodles, fries and pins colada but fried rice was a bit hard and dry. Thank you for a great meal 😊

This place is style over substance. Looks good but could do with improvement. Dynamite Shrimp was good, chicken and prawn noodles were okay, saying "authentic Japanese" on the menu seems like quite a stretch. The shisha was disappointing, flavour lacked depth, as if they scrimped on the fresh tobacco. Might be worth spending more on consistent quality of flavours rather than boujee Savacco pipes. Overall, staff are friendly but for the price, better off going elsewhere

This lounge is one of the worst lounges I’ve ever been to, the decor is nice but it’s not worth coming here. when we got our food we got our drinks like 20 mins later the staff forgot to give our shisha, had us waiting for another 20 mins, the toilet didn’t have locks on them, the staff gave us only one straw when there were two mocktails. It’s really difficult to get staff’s attention.

The place is stylish but sadly it's all downhill from there. Food is terrible. Shisha pipes are great but flavour is not good and definitely not original. Service is shockingly bad from waitress'. Has a missing item and was abruptly told "go to front and tell them" Management really need to up the game here.

If you seriously enjoy shisha, I highly recommend travelling to the Cave lounge instead ! I promise you, you will not regret it, in terms of value for shisha, you will not find a better lounge in the West Midlands or in fact the entirety of the United Kingdom. Beautiful decor, lovely vibe, amazing food and mocktails and prices are incredibly cheap but unfortunately, the service is incredibly slow. Unless you are having Shisha, you are ignored! No table service, you have to go to the counter and order which makes no sense considering how beautiful the place looks. My friend ordered 2 drinks and we waited 20 mins for them to arrive. I also think they need to separate people doing shisha and people just having food otherwise you are surrounded by smoke and Shisha blowing all other your face and food. Maybe have a separate lounge for only shisha. This place only do mocktails and not alcoholic cocktails which we were not aware. Only nice for a few “instagramable” pictures and a tiktok review but other than that, nothing special.

Lovely Shisha, no complaints. As the name suggests, amazing Aura, great crowd on weekends. The food is also great, especially Sushi is a must try. Best Shisha flavour for me was Lady Killer & Special Paan Flavour. Go for it guys!

The birthday experience is literally a big joke lol. You pay £15 to get a plate thrown onto the table to the WRONG person after pointing out the birthday boy and the waitress running off 2 seconds after. Asked for coals about 12 times i think so shisha just died as we couldnt use it. Appalling to say the least. Rules are shisha + drink between 2 but they let random girl groups have 1 shisha between 6 with no drinks. What a joke of a place. Very understaffed. Table of 3 next to us who recently left a review had the same bad birthday experience.

I would give 0 if I could. Came to them for a birthday treat for my friend. Absolutely terrible service. It's a pretentious place, don't be fooled by decor, because everything else is terrible. Spent almost £200, ordered the 24kt cake for our friend, literally whilst we were still eating, the cake got dashed onto our table. Like who does that? We didn't even get to wish her happy birthday because we literally were shocked at seeing the cake on the table. We also were told to move from our table that they sat us in because they wanted to give it to someone and make the 3 of us sit in a two seater table. But because we said it's unacceptable, they let us stay where we was. As a business owner in the hospitality industry myself, it's an absolute joke of a place. They need to train their staff better and if you want something to look high-end, make sure you live up to that through your services too. High end doesn't stop at just a decor! Never again!

Sheesha was amazing. One of the best I have had. Didn't try the food. But it smelt and looked good as it was being served to others. Only issue with this place is that it is freezing. Will come back in the summer.

Good place but cold.... also they tell you to make your way to a table and then you have to walk all the way back to the bar to place an order. If you then fancy something after you've got to go back to the bar to order. Why can't waiters with tablets just take orders.... it seems they are behind....
