Spice Hut in Luton

Usually this place doesn't disappoint. Ordered a lamb biryani with taka daal. It had so much salt I had to bin it.

Avoid Who charges more for Nan with Doner kebab??? Medium burned my tongue off Ghee all over my nan once I decided to pay for it... they should ask first Horrible..horrible horrible

Chicken was uncooked and pink, i thought perhaps it was just thigh thats why it was pink, but i was wrong it was uncooked!!! NOW I HAVE FOOD POISONING DEFINTELY NOT COMING BACK HERE!

The food is good no complaints about the food, but my god the service is so slow, for 3 wings and chips have to wait 15 minutes plus! And there was no other people in the shop. It’s supposed to be fast food but the workers are working too slow.

Overall, the food is ok, just like any other food. The fries are a bit too skinny for my liking, and the taste is not like the Spice Hut food in London

Just ordered food from here absolutely disgusting wanted it for a scheduled time they started preparing it 1 hour 15 mins early everything is cold I clearly stated on the receipt for 9.15 and I put that down on when I picked the time for delivery they don't even understand English very unprofessional service food was a waste of time from food to even there sauces are disgusting if I knew they were 2 star rating before ordering I would never have ordered wasted £45 for nothing naga wing is spicy only no taste of naga or anything

Absolutely awful! I was fasting the entire day and when did my food come? 30 minutes late! Not only was the food late my doner kebab was cold the portion was tiny even though I ordered large. The chips were rock hard and portion tiny. What kind of service is this? Fix up. I will be letting all my family and friends know not to waste their money here. I spent £10.99 for a kids meal the was disgusting. Are you joking?! I had to throw away the food it wasn't edible. Don't eat from here guys unless you want food poison.

Very disappointed. Drove 50 miles to try this place, online said it was open. Got there not find out the shop was closed. Gutted

I was given random drinks even though i specifically wrote in the notes to call me if the drinks i chose were out of stock (understandably due to boycott) the wings were soggy, the chicken was tiny, i was given shatkhora donner which i vomited out as i hate that flavor instead of creamy donner, never ordering from here again

Recently I’ve tried lamb doner made in shatkora curry it was absolutely delicious. The tender and flavorful lamb, combined with the spices and the soft, warm bread, created a mouthwatering experience. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was definitely a satisfying and flavorful treat. If you're a fan of lamb and enjoy bold flavors, I highly recommend trying a lamb doner at Spice Hut. You won't be disappointed!

Have been here a few times and the food is excellent! Creamy naga hot wings and chips were fresh and crisp. Love the mayo and sauces here. Prefer to eat inside whilst still fresh. Keep it up gents.

Even though the food was on time, there was lack of flavour and seasoning.. the chips tasted like they were re-fried and the mixed donner was full of fat.. the garlic mayo tasted watered down

Pathetic food! Should have just sent a live chicken for us to cook ourselves instead of bothering to send a barely cooked chicken which smelled like it had been cooked and kept out in the sun for 10 days.

Told me 20 minutes wait on the phone. I get there after 15 mins and they say the wait is another 20 mins. No parking outside at all.

I had the donner meat and chips, naan and a cheese burger. I asked for the donner meat to be medium spiced. The flavours were really good, but if that was medium, then i'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to handling spice!! I went through two bottles of water whilst having the meal. Had a chat with the guy, and agreed i'd go for mild next time. The cheese burger was also very good; had gherkins in as well, which gave it a nice flavour. I ate inside, not too many tables but was comfortable. They also gave me some sauces bottles to have with my meal. The sauce bottles were very clean, unlike most fast food places. All in all, a nice meal which was freshly cooked.

It’s good to have a spice hut in Luton, but the prices here are way too expensive. Why is two donner and chips meals costing me £30??! The prices here are ridiculous.

Genuinely the best donner kebab in the whole of Luton! Their food has never let me down. My go to meal is; Large spicy donner meat and chips (creamy flavour) and spicy cajun wings. They always cater to your needs, I ask for loads of creamy sauce and every time they’ll do it without hesitation. Genuinely my favourite place to eat in Luton. Go there at least once a week and will continue to go, highly recommend!

Once again amazing fresh fast food, had the mix doner shaktora. Picture doesn’t do it justice but there was a lot of meat and flavour. Never had a bad experience here. Friendly guys running the place. Came all the way from Wycombe due to working in Luton. Little authentic gem. Will be back again, keep up the amazing food.

Top notch quality food. Proper levels of 'zaal'. Thankfully they do an amazing Dayl/Daal too. A worthwhile trip if your in the area, better quality/service than the Ilford spice hut for sure..

Always used the spice huts in London and then moved out of London to find this was here in Luton. Been coming for the last few years and this place deserves a good review. The naga spice is always a hit for me with the doner kebabs and a bonus that they serve them on Nan breads (when selected) , always squeeze in few hot wings which completes the meal. Occasionally I would get their chicken tikka biryanis and flavour is always on point. If your looking to satisfy your tastes buds and you love your spice this place is highly recommended Staff are always amazing and recognise repeat customers I always use the app to order ahead saves having to wait in busy periods

Doner was okay compared to other branches I tried. Biryani was awful. Would not recommend.

Would select no stars if I could. Absolutely appalled by this spice hut- I’m a regular in London and have been since as long as I can remember. There was a gentleman with a blue top today around 19:30. Went with my parents to buy some burgers and chips, the guy scratched the inside of his ears, packed the chips and shoved the chips in with the same hands and then had the cheek to get my burger with his hands from the grill, put the cheese with his hands and the salad with his hand when there were tongs to be used along with touching the till, money and everything else. Hygiene is free in the world- upon telling him his mistake absolutely no change in his face? Why employ people who will make your business fail? When spice hut first opened here, the workers were lovely. It’s a shame to have to write a review which has to tell everyone the sheer truth about what they are eating. I couldn’t even eat the food when I got home, the sheer disgust didn’t leave my mind and the gentleman didn’t offer to change it so I was left to walk away with dirty food. It’s very unfortunate. I hope the owners can see the cctv footage and change things.

Chicken wings were skinny old and dry on a saturday night. Biryani was dry over spiced and the rice was hard. The only original spice hut thing was the spicy donner. Also expensive for the quality. I will stick to spice hut in Whitechapel that is the original. x10 better and is so much cheaper.

Nice food quick and fast service

Amazing! I ordered here few weeks ago and the food here is tasty with the best sauces. They don’t rush their food and have vastly improved their menu so you can quickly order from good selection of food. The owner also offered extra chicken in substitution for less fries which he didn’t have to do and it went a long way. Thanks again and will be back.

Food is decent and price a bit pricey compared to other local ones. Also I orderd two times over phone so when I arrive my food will be ready to pick up and both occasions when I arrived they started to make the order when I got there!!! What’s the point making a phone order when you have to go still waiting for it!

Food taste was ok , service was extremely slow and portion size was a joke , I won’t be visiting again not at those prices and portion size .

I have been ordering food from Spice Hut for quiet a while, can not fault the quality, if you looking for good take away food, please visit this place,all dishes on the menu are succulent and flavourful, not dry and chewy like most fast food outlets, 5 stars for service and quality👍👍👍👍

It's been a long time since I had a spicy east London doner and this was well worth the wait and journey as I live in West it's a long journey to go east London but thankfully this Luton branch is a bit more closer and I loved the Naga Doner and the portions were very generous will definitely be coming back again for my next fix.

Expensive for the quality. Peri chicken and wings were dry, grill burger barely had any chicken and was overloaded with Mayo. Chips were average. The chilli sauce was flavourless. Personally wouldn’t use again.

Highly recommended to anyone that appreciates a good takeaway. They serve the best shatkora donner in town with very good place, but they need more people in the kitchen so they can serve more fast.

Always having same problem of having delivery of food getting delayed or having missing items. I rang to ask about missing item and the guy got rude! Has no respect for his customers and has a disgusting behaviour! Food is never what you ask for either. If you order spicy they give you sweet and if you ask for sweet they give spicy…. I use to be a regular never again !

Ordered from here several times now and every time the food was excellent. Highly recommended to anyone that appreciates a good takeaway. One of the worst places in Luton. KEEP AWAY. There chilli sauce is just red food colour and taste disgusting! Don't get it on your hands, it's so hard to take off. Ordered a full chicken but its soooooo dry and doesn't have any taste. Where was the sauce?? The biryani doesn't have no taste too. Taste like a few days old warmed up rice. NEVER AGAIN

This week alone very bad food no taste I had it 3 weeks ago it was good but this week no taste on lamb chops biryani and beans and etc nothing taste good all old and not enjoyable this is unbelievable as around 3 weeks ago everything was almost perfect, this week no taste not even cooked properly, The naan bread was really hard and not eatable , the sauce given was completely different from which I have had 3 weeks ago , I have tried everything from the menu but it don't taste nice it's a different taste.

Spice hut signature dish is the shatkhora donner and exotic citrus flavoured donner mix Also the hot wings are fresh and spicy and you need to try

So glad they opened up in Luton. Great food and service. Got the special box 1 to try a bit of everything. Couldn't finish it but it was banging.

They need consistency, we ordered spicy naga kebab when it first opened, and it was amazing, but I suspect the east London staff left after training them, the last kebab we ordered was terrible and nothing like how they make it in east London, honestly I haven't eaten here since, but I'm leaving 3 stars just because the wings were nice and the chilli sauce was nice. But I really hope they bring it in line with east London standards and taste ecause that's what we as customers expect from spice hut

Donner kebab is very tasty. The taste looks like is east London. I think the east London staff made doner kebabs. If so, Thank you management for bringing the staff from east London. I got the delicious during the opening.

Food quality has become very poor, it was very good when first opened, now the taste, texture, look of food is very poor. I feel like the east London team came initially, trained staff up and left. But its really bad now. Soo much food colouring, and just bad taste , wings and chips are ok. But kebab is soo bad

Terrible food as you can see from the pictures. I ordered few items but unfortunately didn't like any of them.They use too much food colouring as you can see from the pictures. Nuga wings and their chilli 🌶 sauces are full of red colour which is very unhealthy. I will never go back to this restaurant again and I won't recommend any one to this place.i will not give even 1 star

The food was NOT to standards, the chicken donner had pieces of chicken skin, the chicken was dark in colour, tasted like it’s gone off, wasted a journey to Luton, also was given the wrong burger the signature burger, the beef burgers was rock hard had a bite it was like chewing on rubber, would NOT recommend. Had to throw a £30 order in the bin.

I ordered about 7 meals for delivery to arrive at a certain time and they did! Absolutely outstanding food. I recommend everybody to try their food, especially the naga wings.
