Spice Hous in Chesterfield

Thought I'd try these again after, the last time I ordered food took two and a half hours to arrive. This time was no different, the food took 4 hours to arrive from ordering, each time I rang I was fobbed off with "It's out with the driver" not sure if the guy actually brought the food from India but I'd already ordered something from elsewhere thinking this wasn't coming. The food was cold once it arrived unsurprisingly but can't fault the taste.

Ordered a takeaway , waited 2 hours , rung the shop to be told they couldn't give me a time , another hour later still no order received!! Absolute joke !!!

slight hiccup with the order but sorted straight away 10/10 for response. Everybody's human, even Spice House but they do magic food!

Had to wait over 2 hours for food delivery

I aged while waiting for the food that I ordered from here.

Flavours were excellent and the naans baked just right . However, the Karahi Mixed Tandoori had no prawn in it at all which let the meal down that little bit.

19:13only just delivered delivered

Ordered food over 2 hours ago and still not arrived yet, called the restaurant and they said the food was with the driver and that was 20 minutes ago even though we're less than 10 minutes away. Not the first time this has happened either

The delivery window was adjusted twice. Originally saying 1hour when placing order. It took 1hr49, and arrived literally in the last few seconds of the final delivery window. When i called to chase the order, the female assistant was unhelpful,

The food was great.so delicious and very good quality everything I wanted expectation wise. The delivery was late and the app didn’t update us much but the taste of the food definitely made up for it,and wasn’t as expensive as what I expected it to be :))

Very poor first experience, food ordered and was in fact another place, food cold, , very rude member of staff “ I just got here food not ready” when it was another customer waiting 30 mins wanted refund. Naan dry. Won’t order again

Be prepared to wait about 2 hour to get ur food! Twice I've ordered from them and it's been the same.

The delivery took over two hours to arrive, the sauces had spilled from the cartons over everything else and the food was lukewarm at best, probably due to the driver having to do too many deliveries in one go with food that was already late. The driver never offered any form of apology

Nice food, represented value for money.

Ordered takeaway. Delicious food. Cooked the way we like it. Authentic n fresh. Chicken vindaloo with rich sauce extra chicken as requested and poppadoms "unbroken". Definitely recommend 👍

the meat was tough I I could not eat it . The lamb was chewy and not edible very disappointed. First time I had used this company and I will not use them again the quality was poor I was so looking forward to this mixed meat starter the sausage was not nice either the taste was awful I spat it out. The chicken was okay a little dry but edible

Second time we’ve ordered and we have had to wait well over an hour and a half for our order that has turned up cold, phoned numerous times to be told “it’s out for delivery” will not be using again

couple of things missing from my order

Ordered food at 6.45 arrived at 9.30 lukewarm won't be ordering again

Waited over 2 hrs for food rang 3 times kept saying it was out with the driver. When it finally arrived it was cold. Poor phone customer service and overall rubbish service.

contact twice late delivery advised under staffed when finally arrived 1 hour late curry tasted of cumin and nothing else very disappointed won't order again or use just eat.

the food came over 2 hours late. stone cold. after contacting the takeaway to return it i was told that they wernt even serving from the same shop. absolutely ridiculous. a refund has been requested and will not be ordering again

We ordered plain rice, chicken korma and chicken tikka, chips and a Peshwari naan. Everything was delicious.

the app stated the order was on route. However when we rang to chase up the order after it was 20 minutes past the delivery time we were informed the order was just leaving the establishment. The order arrived over 30 minutes late. No recompense or offer of compensation for the delay.

absolutely gorgeous food, fast delivery & big portion sizes!

1 hour & half for delivery no update on time, sent a message to restaurant through just eat no response, called them said it was on the way now but no sorry for the delay or anything, quite disappointing to be honest

I have ordered from spice house 3 times now and I cannot tell you how amazing their food is. It tastes fresh, it’s full of flavour. Will definitely be ordering again. Top marks to the spice house.

Poor quality Food. Cremated Onion Bhaji , dreadful Sheek Kebab , dishes far too oily and off-putting. Papadoms in tiny pieces. All-round disappointing.

the food is excellent, but this time took me a long time to find any chicken tikka pieces in the tikka massalla...could've ordered a simple tikka massalla sauce instead...

Had a Lamb Rogan Josh with Chips and a Naan Bread. The curry was decent, but the chips were chewy and cold which let the meal down as a whole. Top notch and prompt delivery however.

Upon calling them at 8.15pm they told me it would be 10/15minutes it didn’t arrive until 8.55pm when this arrived it was cold and unable to eat which is an absolute shame as previously the time and food has been brilliant service.

Food was ok, delivery was late unfortunately. Delivery driver was polite and knocked loudly, which was brilliant as it takes time to answer. I’d give this a try as they’re dedicated and I’m sure that ordering on Friday didn’t help as they will have been very busy.

the main dishes are probably the best around here, which is why we accept the long delivery times! Unfortunately, the peshwari naan was all coconut and no raisins. Not that I mind but the missus won't stop moaning for weeks about it :-( We'll still be back again because there's so many more dishes to try. I challenge the Spice House to put out a chicken tikka masala that is dairy free...

The menu showcased a variety of innovative dishes, blending bold flavors and beautiful presentation as well as ensuring the food was nice and hot. The attentive and knowledgeable staff ensured that our meal was a memorable one, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring our satisfaction. I can’t recommend spice house enough for the fantastic experience they provided.
