We often order our takeaway from Spice and genuinely recommend their food - it's generously portioned, super tasty & reasonably priced - we have never been disappointed!!!

We have been using Spice for take aways for several years and have always loved it. We did however got caught up ordering from a fancy new place in Hatch End which was lovely but super expensive on Uber Eats. Yesterday I decided to go back to spice and I have to say it was one of the best currys we have eaten. I ordered on line in the afternoon and booked a delivery time at which it was delivered by a lovely friendly man. The food was absolutely delicious and both my husband and I said it was definitely the best we have eaten in a long time. Take aways are expensive now but this was better value than most and super tasty! Thank you Spice, we will be back soon!

Can recommend Spice for a traditional Indian meal out. Tried and trusted dishes. No Alcohol license but are welcomed to supply own drinks and restaurant will provide glasses.

Great food, quick service, enough space to enjoy chatting with friends.

Perfectly serviceable food. Nothing amazing but perfectly fine. Only downside is they have lost or didn't renew their alcohol licence. So you have to go next door or to Budgens to buy your own, which they allow.

I am writing this as someone who visits this restaurant every two months and adore the place and the food. Yet, something happened yesterday and my closed ones pushed me to write about it. We love that restaurant and the food is amazing, yet a few months ago when we went, the waiter made a few comments on my weight which I brushed off thinking I was being paranoid. Yesterday we went back for our date night, we were excited and it's been a while since we were able to sit down together. All the other team members are amazing but that same waiter from last time came over to take our order. No hello, nothing. Looks at me and says straight away "you're getting bigger, don't eat too much tonight' while putting his arms around him showing 'big'. I was in shock. I ended up in tears at the table, unable to eat anything. We ended up going home earlier... I'm heartbroken to write this following that experience but it should have never happened. To that man, You have NO rights to comment on anyones body. How dare you? You ruined my evening and my self esteem. I cried for hours afterwards. I still can't believe someone could be so mean and brush it off saying 'just joking with you' Joking with me? This is shameful. This place is our favourite but I don't think I ever will be back... and it hurts. Don't say or do that to anyone... It's not ok.

Great little spot, love thst every table is separated, so everyone has its own section we had as Starters : Spice stater Aloo chat And as Mains: Garlic naan Channa masala Plain paratha Chilli chicken buyana... The place it self is well decorated and it has an great ambiance, service was okay, the food came out fast! The food itself... well lets just say Buyana was the star of the night!ow and i should mention the lack of deserts...they literally have 6 kinda ice creams...this an a negative, but would like to see some asian sweets as a desert

Enjoyed a delicious Tandoori Chicken Biryani and my Mum had a tasty King Prawn Balti with generous amounts of prawns and good, fluffy Pilau rice. Poppadoms were nice and crispy, and we were well looked after. Tried a non-alcoholic Cobra beer which I enjoyed.

I mean did I want some oil with that chicken tikka masala this cost me £15 I couldn’t even physically eat that swimming in oil I wouldn’t recommend this place When I asked them to rectify it or possibly a refund they told me that’s how it’s supposed to be and that I should eat it very poor

Just ordered for first time and I must say the food is amazing and piping hot I got the lamb garlic curry (mild) it’s very creamy and very tasty along with the rest was delicious too. I’m so pleased I’ve found a decent Indian takeaway. I will definitely be a regular customer for the future :)

What a lovely warm and inviting restaurant. The staff have been so attentive and friendly and the food is outstanding. Especially the mixed grill which was amazing. Thank you for such an enjoyable evening. This is definitely my favourite restaurant in Ruislip. The staff were visibly upset to hear the queen passed away this evening. Most definitely worth a visit and bring your own drink

Service very slow, we were seated 45 minutes when we finally received our papadums. We had to ask 4 time for 2 glasses. The restaurant was freezing as the door does not close properly and a couple of diners did get up and leave or move table due to breeze coming in the restaurant. When food did finally arrive it was good and hot, but for us the last straw was when bill arrived and we had been charged £3.95 for a glass of tap water. Will not be going back to Spice

I came to the Manor looking for a place that’ll just fill my tastebuds. Wow, Spice in Ruislip Manor certainly done the job. Recommend everyone to try this place as it is fantastic!

Been coming here for several years. Simply the best Dhansak in the area. Quality starters and all other dishes. Well with a visit or takeaway.

Awful , when ask for a fork , three guys in the counter said it taste better with the hands or take it from the next door , never again

RAW CHICKEN & HAIR IN CURRY - DO NOT GO HERE - the worst experience I have ever encountered. My family and I are regular customers (takeaway and dining) and order this evening for a birthday. Two of the main dishes come cold, which wasn't a problem (microwave), however, my son was eating his and the chicken did not look thoroughly cooked and to top it off it had multiple hairs laced within the sauce. I phoned Spice and the call assistant told me very abruptly I was wrong about the heat of my meal. Requesting the manager, whom began on a negative note was extremely condescending questioning whether I am aware what cooked chicken looks like. After a while, the manager agreed to come and collect the order, and would refund me, however monetarily afterwards I got a phone call saying they would not refund me regardless of it being cold or have hair in the curry, but only if the chicken was raw. The Manager/Owner was so rude and negative whom continued the call referring to me as a liar continuously. Upon an abrupt phone call, I returned the curry to the shop where I apologised for returning the foods I just wanted to show you what was delivered, where the owner replied 'sorry isn't good enough, only when you kill someone'? The OWNER became extremely aggravated and said 'we don't want people like you in here' insinuating that we are of lower class. I couldn't be more appalled if I tried. The manager didn't care about the welfare of his customers, especially regarding the argumentative tone he had on the phone. When I returned all the curry (some of which untouched), the manager was laughing saying 'this is over the rice you didn't want to pay for, isn't it?' regardless of us having spent £45, we forgot it on the order and said could we pay in cash which they agreed to (total of £2.95) and I gave the drive £5 including a little tip? After this encounter with the useless staff and the incompetent owner, I, my friends and family and well those reading this review, will never eat here again. The staff are extremely rude and patronising, and after being served raw chicken, in a cold curry with hair, who would want to?

The chicken was not fully cooked and we found hairs in the food. Called up to complain and the manager said we was lying and was condescending.

Enjoyed last night's meal with family. Highly recommending their tandoori mix grill which comes with nan but I have asked for kema nan and they have gave it without any charge. Really polite staff and excellent atmosphere. Will definitely come back again.

Family friendly, bought my wife and 5 year old here, he's very picky by the way. All enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Would highly recommend spice, especially the lamb Korai.

Food is very delicious specially chef special menu (highly recommanded). Staff is very polite as they welcome you from the door and open they door when you leave. Restuarant is very neat and clean. One of the best curry house in local area.

The food is alright, the portions is abit small compare to other Indian restaurants. Service was non-existent, I had to ask for tap water 3 times before it finally arrive 20mins and my meal is almost finished.

DO NOT EAT HERE. Shocking service, took us over an hour to get our mains, completely forgot our starters & had to order our own drinks at the bill because they were ignoring us. When we asked for the bill, they had the audacity to add in drinks we hadn’t had and refused to compensate for the starters we never received. Rude and unhelpful staff and manager. Go to Rajdoot 2 minutes away, as I will be in future.

Terrible service, terrible restaurant. Avoid at all costs. They forgot our starters, tried to charge us service charge and an extra round of drinks.. Honestly just go to rajdoot up the road, so much better. Even with the government scheme this place is not worth the money. DO NOT GO HERE.

The worst restaurant experience I've had in my life. Forgot all our starters (table of 6) overcharged us for drinks we didn't even have ( round of 6 beers and a pepsi) no-one at the table even drank pepsi. Food was below average. When looking for an apology the owner was so embarrassed he actually got to the point of just saying pay what you think it was worth we paid a tenner each and that was generous. Joke of a restaurant. Joke of service. Would avoid at all cost this is my 2nd bad experience and most place deserve a second chance but this does not.

Poor hygiene standards and poor service. Found an ant in the middle of the mango chutney and someone’s hair in the glass of water served. I do not recommend and will not be returning.

Been going here for a while now every now and then with family. Food has been okay..ish. nothing to write home about. We have refused to pay the service charge on the meals we have had as it does state on the menu "at customer discretion"but have all ways left a tip. Around six months ago got a take away for collection' collected it my self just over £20.00 they refused to take card payment because less than £25.00. Did same tonight ordered take away for collection again £28.75 This time manager refused to give me 10% discount if paying by card. Still I paid full price and went home with my take away. Got home 10 minutes later, Sat down with my wife to eat our meal. Found that the rice was crispy and warm (not hot) so naturally phoned and spoke to manager to inform him. I advised him that I did not want a replacement or any money back. His response was "thank you"(Couldn't finish the rice, it just put me off) then we opened our nan breads to find them to be NOT HOT. bairly warm. I phoned back yet again to inform the managers response this time was "don't order from here again" as if i was makeing it up. With this i put the rice back into the take away tray and the nan bread back into the insulated bag and brought them back. The managers response after our discussion was "we know all about you, you refuse to pay service charge and you complain all the time." I must say we have never complained just refused to pay service charge (also our tips have always been more than the service charge) and also a bit put back by there excuses when we pay by card on takeaway collection. As i was leaving the restaurant tonight he did offer me my money back, but if I accepted it, it would be as if that was what I was after (not to pay) so i told him to keep it. Then I was instructed not to return. Sorry we ever tipped them now.

Best Indian food I had after long time, couldn’t find any fault, Service was Excellent definitely visit again

One of the best curries I have had in a long time. Food was fantastic, it come to the table quick and the owner and his staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be returning again soon.

Spice is a lovely decorated restaurant with very polite staff, it was our first visit for quite a while, we had the banquet on Sunday evening for £15-95p which you can't fault, the only thing I was disappointed with was its cash only which I didn't know as we always paid by card, they also put a surcharge on the banquet in case you visit, but I would still recommend it for the food and comfort, I'm giving it 4 stars for the changes as we did not know until we looked at the menu about the cash only charge. But well worth a visit for the food and good portions and staff.

The service was horrible, the food was horrendous, and the staff is not helpful at all! The only thing that was alright was the sweet mango lassi. Overall worst Indian restaurant I've been to!!! Would not recommend at all!!!

The guy taking delivery orders over the phone can be abrupt and hasn't quite grasped the idea of good customer service. Our chicken tikka biryanis were very much lacking in chicken, and what we had were nothing short of specs of chicken and it was quite appropriate being easter because it was find the chicken hunt in your food (as opposed to finding your egg). Don't worry if you don't like chicken, just order a chicken biryani and you will be fine. At almost £10 a portion it really isn't worth it for some rice, so we won't be returning.

Nice food, but let down by the limited amount of meat in a portion. However what really takes the biscuit is one of the staff members in particular pushing for 'extras' all basically to increase our overall bill. Insisting us to have bottle water instead of tap water so they can charge along with insisting we have pint cokes. Oh and insisting one of our family members is shy because they did not decide to order any extra food you were suggesting is just plain rediculous. To top it off they also add a 10% surcharge on the bill (fair enough) but without any clear mention in the menu, I like to decide what tip I should give not be dictated. It is a complete turn off when restaurants decide to behave in this manner, rather unfortunate for them in the long term. A family meal should be a joyful occasion not one which is mearly a means to line the pocket of the restaurant owners. It is a shame as this place used to be decent, but they'll need to sort out their working practises and value for money and consider their customer before I'll consider going there again.

Great food, watch out for the service charge

We visited The while on trip to London and we loved it! Very cozy and very typical of an old London Restaurants. We couldn't get a seat downstairs as was very busy but found a cozy room upstairs with sofas and a fire going. We didn't order any food but what we did see coming out of the kitchen looked great.

Food is very yummy and a good price. Love the modern decor inside and the staff are always very nice and accommodating. Can get busy so would book for an evening meal. Delivery is also good and quick.

Food was beautifully served with great flavours, needed to be a tad warmer with the side dishes. The service started off brilliantly but then soon turned sour when I questioned the many rules of the banquet offer. The waiter implied that I was being racist his comment 'We do speak English you know" I am not entirely sure what he thought he heard me say but it waas shocking and disappointing to be so rudely accused. Not all staff were rude but for the 2 that were it really really ruined the experience. Finally the £1 fee pp to take food away after you have paid £14.95 is a rip off! The container costs less than 30p.

Food was disgusting ! Ordered from there before but this time it was a huge dissapointment! Food had no flavour whatsoever not even salt. Called the restaurant to complain and we said we will bring all food back as none was eaten and was told they could do nothing as we already paid . On the same day previous to that we had to return as the order was not complete! Will never order from them again and a huge disappointment to the evening

In our opinion the best Indian restaurant in Ruislip. The place is smart and nicely lit, not noisy and has some nice booths for private dining. The food is always excellent and the staff are friendly and courteous.

I have been ordering take out and dining in the rstaurant for as long as I can remember. The food is always always incredible no matter what day you order or visit. I have tried the majority of dishes and everyone of them has fantastic flavors, plenty of meat and the portions are pretty large. The staff are also great. Very friendly but still professional. They always make me feel so welcome. There is absolutely nothing I would change about this restaurant. 5 stars Very well earned and deserved Keep it up lads. See you again soon.

Tried take away, pleasantly surprised compared to others locally.

Only had take-away from here but that was delicious. Much nicer than others I've eaten from elsewhere. Plenty of meat in the main dishes, decent portion sizes, wonderfully flavoursome and a fair price. Delivery guy is nice too.
