Crowded and very little food. Filled with amateur travelers that have no sense of personal space. Food was cold and empty at 10am. About half the staff looked like they’d rather be anywhere else and the rest were friendly. For instance the guy scanning our boarding pass was rude but the next three were very nice.

We always head to this lounge if possible as it's much more relaxed and less busy with guaranteed seating. The whispering angel bar is a nice touch and we enjoyed a few glasses. Breakfast was being served during our visit and they had veggie sausages to order. We also managed to fit in a glass of champagne before our flight. Just give yourself enough time to transit to your departure gate! Z

The British airways lounge at B gates in Heathrow is a great lounge for resting before flights. Id recommend visiting this lounge over the A gates lounge due to the B gate lounge being much more relaxed and quiet. Overall the food and drinks selection is nice.

This place is overrun with people, the restrooms are not clean, and the food selection is cheap and sparse. Also, at least one of the escalators is always broken. I paid over $1000 to upgrade to business class and expected much more. You’d be better off just staying put and suffering where you are in the airport rather than trekking to this deplorable haunt.

Flying home, we departed from the B Gates at Heathrow’s Terminal 5, which offered a more peaceful and less crowded experience compared to the main terminal area. This quieter location also meant that the British Airways Galleries Club Lounge in this section was less busy, providing a more relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Upon arrival at the lounge, the staff greeted us warmly and were attentive and helpful throughout our stay, ensuring a smooth check-in and a pleasant experience overall. The lounge itself was well-maintained, with clean facilities and a spacious layout. There were plenty of comfortable seating options, allowing travelers to unwind and relax before their flights. The ambiance was calm and inviting, ideal for a restful break during travel. As it was still morning, we had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast in the lounge. The food selection was excellent, featuring a traditional English breakfast with a variety of quality options. The freshly prepared meal and well-stocked buffet added to the overall positive experience. Overall, the B Gates lounge provided a quieter, more pleasant alternative to the main terminal lounges, making it a great option for British Airways passengers looking for comfort, good service, and a solid pre-flight meal.

I had a great experience in the lounge, enjoyed the decent food on offer and had a nice shower. The only disappointing aspect was the stroppy attitude I received from one of the staff members there (not the front desk who were very welcoming). All the other staff were excellent aside from that one individual. A real shame for a nice lounge. I understand people can have bad days but in a customer facing role, it’s not acceptable. The guest services inside the lounge were extremely friendly and helpful too.

We visited the BA Club lounge while on our way to barbados and it was good. This lounge is located on the B & C gates which is accessed through the transit train. The lounge is medium sized compared to the larger lounges in the main terminal. There was a good selection of English and Continental breakfast available along with many drink options including alcohol. The main areas were clean, however the toilets were not and we had to complain about this. Overall, a good relaxing stop before a long flight.

Always head for this lounge if you are flying out of B/C gates. The lounge in the main terminal was absolutely packed. Moved here and it was so peaceful. The food a better and there are more choices as there is an extra station where food is prepared that you order. There is the usual buffet options. The whispering angel display/bar was a bit random. The best thing about this lounge is the view - sitting in the coziest chair and viewing planes taking off is incredible for every flight geek, or probably just for everyone. The lounge is clean and service makes sure to keep it clean. There are several sitting zones. The lounge has kids area as well. The food is alright, exactly the same as in other BA lounges. Coming home sat underneath Aircon directed straight towards our seats. Had to sit with a jacket over my head for 21 hours, all the way from Sydney to Gatwick. Horrendous Airline. Stuck here for 8.5 hours after flights cancelled due to fog. The food is decent but could be improved and the bar is excellently stocked and one of the best bars but I wasn’t drinking at 8am in the morning. What I was really disappointed by was the seating options and layout/ functionality. The chairs were uncomfortable and there was not a single spot in which you could put your feet up and try catch some sleep. In comparison to most other lounges I’ve been to the layout and style of this lounge is small and impractical. Instead of so many chairs that aren’t made for tables why not have some more comfortable chairs and work spaces?? Why not have power points in large supply and accessible ??? Not happy to be stuck here so long with low functioning ameneties

Reasonably pleasant location to sit ahead of a flight, I would argue I actually preferred this lounge to the club suite on the plane (so small and cramped) but the food wasn't overly good. I discovered the B gate lounge, in Terminal 5, by accident a few years ago and I'm so glad I did. It's quieter, with more ambience than the fairly crowded ones at the main terminal. I visited the BA Lounge again last week before my flight to Dubai and was very impressed at the new refit (much needed), and the service team. The wonderful Len was the perfect host during my recent visit there and he went out of his way to ensure I had an excellent experience. I was a bit glum before I entered the lounge and Len managed to turn my frown upside down with his warm hospitality and service. The new Whispering Angel bar looks great. Sadly, I'm not a big rose fan so I didn't taste the wine but there were multiple people trying the wine from that section. Len kept me topped up with champagne! The lounge has a good selection of white and red wines, and beers / spirits, and soft drinks. They have a new food service station in the lounge, where the serving team prepare the food of the day in front of you - the team there were charming and welcoming. The rest of the food was ok and it would have been better to have had a bigger selection but it was a late flight so maybe thats why the offerings were a bit sparse. I think the other lounges need a new refit to match the decor / layout of gate B, along with a few more new lounges in Terminal 5 as the ones in the main gate (north and south) are unbearable at times with the busy-ness. Big shout out to the team at the Gate B lounge, especially Len.

The Galleries Lounge run by BA includes Club World travellers. This means I paid for access with my airline ticket. From ‘fast track’ security, it is a bit of a walk + 2 escalators. It’s very busy and it takes a while to find a seat. Plenty of access to beverages and snacks. Bathrooms are individual and not as clean as in other airport locations for BA lounges. Food selection is generous and we were able to get an indication of what was gluten free. I was not impressed that more than 1/3 of the dishes contained corn (including a tuna+corn sandwich?) — a big allergen. Overall better than what you would eat on an aircraft BUT this lounge is disappointing given that it is supposed to be at BA’s home airport and ‘flagship’ location. I guess they want you to aspire to a higher status lounge!!

I’ve visited the British Airways Galleries Club Lounge in B-Gates multiple times over the years, and have always enjoyed my visits. The lounge itself is more tranquil than the A-Gates counterpart, and is worth the effort of visiting. The lounge itself is large and has plenty of seating areas, as well as work stations. It’s had a light refurbishment recently too so it’s looking good, and offers a variety of spaces to unwind before a flight. The food offering has improved considerably over the past few years, and my recent visit was one of the best iterations yet. There was a very good salad bar with lots of options, sandwiches and snacks, as well as a selection of hot dishes. I’ve always thought they have one of the best drinks offerings of any lounge I’ve been to. There’s a whole host of spirits, wines, soft drinks and hot drinks to enjoy - they’ll also give you a glass of Champagne if you ask a member of staff for it. Overall, the BA Galleries Club Lounge in the B-Gates is a fantastic spot for a pre-flight visit. Whether you’re travelling for work or flying somewhere for holiday, it’s always a treat!
