Centrally located close to the airport. We got put in the back corner and the service was very slow. The food was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was kinda funky with string lights hanging everywhere. Would probably give it a second chance but not what I expect from most pubs

Reading recent reviews and looking at the prices versus the Renaissance ( where were staying overnight) we thought this pub would be a great option. The food, which took 45 mins to arrive, was average at best, it was typical pub grub. There was nothing wrong with it however it did not excite

We were staying at Leonardo & friends had recommended The Three Magpies. Our table was booked for 6pm on a Saturday night & it was already quite busy on arrival. We were shown straight to our table (we weee 15 minutes early 👍🏻).. The Waitress promptly took our drinks & food orders of Starters & Main Meals (without a pad) & returned to say they were just changing the Cider barrel, so short delay with drinks. Saw lots of meals come out the kitchen. After 45 minutes from the drinks arriving my partner asked the Waitress when our starters might arrive? Think we’d been forgotten as after a short visit to the kitchen the starters soon arrived. King Prawn/Chorizo/Feta & Camembert both delicious tho not piping hot. Scampi was ok but Award Winning Beef & Ale Pie was disappointing, delicious pastry & gravy but fatty/gristly beef that couldn’t be eaten, each piece the same, not an odd one. Waitress had asked if meal was ok when it 1st arrived but didn’t return. Had to pay at bar as she never returned to table. Paid full amount but was disappointed for the money.

Nice pub on the Heathrow Airport perimeter. Far better than any of the countless hotel bars around the area. Comfortable, warm and relaxing. A couple of staff need to learn how to smile and communicate with their fellow human beings. The drinks are decent and the lines are clean. The food is standard pub fayre. I'm not sure what a "camera controlled patron" is!

I was staying for 3 nights at a nearby hotel & decided to eat at the Three Magpies for 2 of them, I booked in advance as I know from previous visits the place is always busy. I was with a friend in a wheelchair so requested an accessible table when I made my reservations. On arrival the staff knew straight away who were were & took us to our table (which was placed thoughtfully placed near to the disabled restrooms) the staff were without exception friendly & polite which is refreshing these days. The food was fabulous, hot, tasty & good sized portions. For dessert I recommend the Eaton Mess - I had it both nights! I look forward to visiting again when I'm next in the area.

Lovely classic Pub just outside Heathrow Airport. A must see if you're staying at any of the nearby hotels! The building dates back to the 1700s and the atmosphere is dripping with history. The food and service is excellent with prices that are more than reasonable for the quality. Great for a drink or a bite, whatever you need, the Three Magpies can provide!

My first visit to England in 2020 was unforgettable, and this pub was a big part of it. It was my first-ever pub experience, and it didn’t disappoint. The food was fantastic, the staff was incredibly welcoming, and the atmosphere exuded authentic British charm. It felt like I had stepped into the heart of pub culture, and I couldn’t wait to return one day. Fast forward to September 2024—I was back in London and eager to relive that experience, this time with family. We had talked up this pub on the flight over, setting high expectations. Walking in, everything looked the same, and for a moment, it felt like coming home. But that’s where the magic ended. The food was a major letdown—far from what I remembered. Disappointment hit instantly. Maybe there was a change in ownership, or perhaps the pandemic had taken its toll, but something was off. I couldn’t help but feel embarrassed after hyping it up to my family. Since it’s the closest pub to the airport, I had hoped to make it a tradition. Sadly, after this experience, I think we’ll explore other options next time we’re in town.

It’s an unusual location stuck on the side of the airport on a main road, but really should be a lot busier. Reasonable value and most customers seem either to be passing visitors from the airport or airport workers. Staff are friendly and welcoming but would benefit from more training on coordination. Clearing plates before bringing more food to the table, or remembering to bring cutlery before food for example. Atmosphere would benefit greatly from a lighting redesign, and making better use of the ‘restaurant’ area to the back which always seems closed off. The space doesn’t seem large enough to justify the segregation.

A surprisingly original pub, a rarity these days. It was being run by two Indian teenagers, and they were quite efficient. I had the misfortune of booking a table at the Three Magpies near Heathrow Airport, and it was hands-down the worst customer service experience I’ve ever encountered. Despite booking over 10 hours in advance, the staff outright refused to serve us upon arrival, claiming they “didn’t want to serve any more food” even though we arrived at the time of our booked table. They had made no effort to contact me beforehand to cancel the reservation, leaving us stranded and hungry after a long day of travel. The staff were not only ignorant but also shockingly aggressive in their attitude. They displayed a complete lack of manners and customer service skills, making it clear that patrons are seen as an inconvenience rather than valued guests. As someone who frequently travels and has experienced a wide range of service standards, this was by far the most appalling behaviour I have encountered in any establishment. While I didn’t have the chance to taste the food (thanks to their refusal to serve us), I suspect I may have dodged a bullet, given the sour taste left by their atrocious attitude. This place clearly prioritises convenience for their staff over any semblance of hospitality. Avoid this establishment at all costs – it’s a disgrace to the hospitality industry.

I came here because I wanted to eat fish and chips to end my trip to London. I didn't drink alcohol and it was my first time at a pub, so I was a little nervous, but when I told the staff about it, they kindly explained a lot of things to me. The fish and chips were crunchy, fluffy and delicious! I've eaten fish and chips many times in New Zealand, but this was definitely the best I've ever had. The shop is also nice and I would like to visit there again when I come to London. Thank you so much for the delicious dish and the ginger beer! I had a really good time.

I was staying at the Renaissance Hotel for a conference. Someone recommended the Three Magpies. To be honest I wasn't sure as I'm disabled and a mobility scooter user. As I was approaching the pub I thought, older building I won't get in it. I was wrong. Flat entrance, enough room for me to get in and there was a table for me and my friend where I could park my scooter by it. The staff were beyond friendly, polite and helpful especially Dan. There was a couple of Vegan options, brilliant. And for once the Vegan options weren't spicy. My risotto was super tasty and a decent size. My friend couldn't finish her fish and chips because she's not a big eater and the portion was quite large. Considering it's right by Heathrow the prices were super reasonable. All in all it was a very pleasant evening and I would've given it 10 stars if I could. Please visit them.
