Just a great restaurant. Banquet night on a Wednesday is great value. Food is superb and good value every day. Drink and dessert prices very reasonable. Great service , swift without the feeling of being rushed. Always pleasant and courteous. Cannot fault this establishment. Recent refurbishment is really nice and contemporary.

Delicious local Indian restaurant with a great selection of classics and chefs specials. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and we always have great food. Would recommend for a good quality Indian meal.

We had a great meal here, really tasty food that was served quickly and at a good price too. There’s recently been a refurb which looks great and adds to the atmosphere of the restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Had an amazing evening at Taste of Spice The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I had the Tandoori Chicken to start, then Lamb Curry, Chilli Chicken, Pilau Rice and Garlic Naan. This is the best Indian food I’ve had! The fresh Starter are definitely one to get too! Thank you so much to Taste of Spice and the team, I can’t wait to visit again!

Our first time here .. won't be our last a bit of a drive out but well worth it , the parking is not very good being a main street but managed to find a space ,i had the mushroom puri as a starter which was very tasty , followed by chicken shashlick and mushroom rice x

Excellent service and excellent food. We ordered a mixture of starters and two mains to share. The food was hot fresh and amazing. Portion sizes are also very decent we ordered far too much but they offered to box it up for us to take home.

Great portion sizes. Very tasty food, nice selection on the menu. Food arrived in good time, all hot and fresh and no grease/ghee to be seen. We didn't manage to eat it all, but they happily provided a doggy bag. Definitely will come back. Highly recommended.

We regularly have a takeaway from here on a Saturday. The staff are very friendly on the phone and are happy to discuss any dietary requirements which is great for my Aunt who has diabetes. The food never disappoints. Delicious every week which is why we keep coming back. We will have to try eating in the restaurant one day.

We went here for my mothers day meal and yet again we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by lovely staff. My husband wanted to try something different so had quite an in-depth chat with our server who l must say is always lovely when we visit as are the rest of the staff. I also had questions about my meal which he answered and sorted out for me as l must admit the portions of food are so big and l always end up leaving half which l must admit is lovely to take home and eat the next day. The food is wonderful and as normal we have never been disappointed with the quality. Our daughter who comes down regularly to visit us always loves a take away meal from Spice, we would highly recommend this restaurant for the wonderful food and friendly staff.

Highly recommend eating here, absolutely delicious food! The menu includes plenty of classic dishes, and also the restaurant's specialities. Great selection of drinks to go with your meal as well!

Fantastic food, attentive staff. The food was a very high quality especially the King Prawn Jalfrezi and Tarka Dhal. I will be returning again.

Don’t go here. We were told 20 mins for a take out and 50 minutes later we were still chasing. They lied and kept saying next two minutes. The food eventually came and by the time we got it home (2 mins in the car) it was cold, coagulated and tasteless. The staff were patronising rude. Seriously avoid at all costs. They take on too many customers and don’t have sufficient staff. Seriously disgustingly bad.

Ate here just after coming out of lockdown. Meal was lovely, great portions and service was excellent, didn’t feel hurried.

Such a poor experience from a restaurant we used to enjoy. Food was cold, watery and had a very strange texture. Absolutely would not recommend. Would leave 0 stars if we could. Very much regret ordering.

Tasteless - bland Overpriced We spent over £88 and they couldn’t even give us 1 popadom!! Poor service - 100% will never use them again.

So we used to come here very often, and loved the place. We thought we would I've it another go while our regular indian is closed.This was a big mistake, the meat was overcooked and hard, rubbery lamb and strange tasting tandoori marinade. Watery curry, a old hard stale-like naan bread. Real shame, on the bright side... the poppadums are nice, and decent dips& fresh salad. We will not return, anyone who has reviewed this restaurant highly really should try cinnamon when it reopens. Nowhere else can compete.

I don't often have curry as it's usually too spicy for me. I had the chicken Malaya (mild curry with pineapple) and it was warming but not too hot. It was creamy, tasty and satisfying without being uncomfortably filling. Mushroom rice and paratha were also very good. Highly recommended!

Visiting the area but from Wolverhampton so used to a good curry (at least one a week). We arrived on a Wednesday around 9.30pm and was told they shut at 11pm. This wasn't a problem as I knew what I wanted. I asked for a King Prawn Bhuna and Garlic Naan. The reply "was we only have chicken". So I changed to Chicken Bhuna. The food was just a warm curry sauce with 4 pieces of chicken. Due to the lack of flavours I gave up.

We were passing through the area and lucked into this little gem. We were the only non-local eating here and most tables were full. Make a booking if you know you want to eat here at a certain time as it is in a small store frontmmon the main street. Parking is around the corner or on side streets. Our food was very good, and we took advantage of their Wednesday fixed price special which included a starter, a main and a rice or naan. Highly recommended.

My sister and I had booked a table for 7.30 yesterday evening. On arrival we were told that there was no booking made and they could not offer us a table. I noticed on the booking sheet that there were reservations made for three tables at 9.15. I really don't think it would have taken us an hour and three quarters to eat our meal! There was no apology or offer of a table. Also the restaurant was almost empty, I don't understand how their booking system works but I would have thought it would have been curtious to have done their utmost to have fitted us in as we are regular customers who have spent a lot of money at this restaurant over the years. I will be very reluctant to give them any future business. Their loss was The Squirrels gain where we had a lovely meal.

I was invited by My friend for dinner to this restaurant.I had a nice starter bai prawns maybe and I really liked the nice big portions too.The appetizer witch is coming before order is really special especially the spicy sauce!I just can recommend this place!

On the spur of the moment decision to eat here, great welcome received on arrival, drinks came quickly, order taken and food arrived in timely fashion, was busy but service didn’t suffer.

I was a little reluctant to try this restaurant for a takeaway as a couple of the recent reviews weren't very complimentary of it, but as it's local I thought we should give it a try. It was delivered well within the time estimated and we were not disappointed with the dishes we tried. They all looked lovely and tasted delicious. The only fault would be you only get what you order, there were no complimentary poppadoms like most takeaways add.

Just love his restaurant. From the minute we walk in we are always given a warm welcome. The staff are so friendly and polite in answering any questions you might have. I’m really boring in my choice of dish as l always have the same and l must say they always cater to my special requests. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant for its great food, friendliness and it is always spotlessly clean. When my daughter visits us she always asks for a takeaway from here as she knows she will never be disappointed.

I have been a regular customer here for the last 13 years and it has always been very good however it has gone downhill since my last visit. I visited last night (for a birthday treat) and found the restaurant very cold and the staff gathered around various large tubs of food stuffs being transferred to other containers in the main restaurant - these then being transferred to the kitchen. My usual selection, tandoori mixed grill used to be served sizzling at the table, along with lamb, chicken and king prawn. I checked this was still available on-line and there it was, at £9.95.

Usually go here for takeout but not eaten in restaurant before. Food good quality - had lamb Sheri starter which was excellent and curry was nice too. Quite small and felt like sat in middle of restaurant!

Seems new management has put this place on a nosedive, have been a customer for years but things have been slipping for a while, found out last time I went in that the business changed hands a while ago, since then it’s slowly got worse, food is very generic and flavourless, seems to have gone the lazy route and everything comes from one main dish and spices added to match it to your order, had a paratha from them that was more like a flat dumpling than a paratha, no flavour or moisture, absolutely terrible, takeaway tonight was the final straw just terrible, I’m done with this place, too many alternative options locally to put up with flavourless food

Very strange experience in our local Indian restaurant who wouldn’t let us eat in their restaurant because it was 9.45 and were closing in 45 minutes time. Not happy we jumped in a cab to a different restaurant and think we’ve found our new local. Such a shame that this kind of unfriendly service can turn you off a place as the food has previously been good.

My other half was giving blood at the local community centre and now that we have moved to a local village we don't get the chance to have takeaways. As a reward we looked at a few local takeaways, and decided on an Indian. Taste of Spice had some good reviews so we thought we'd give it a go. We had a 20 min drive home and the food was still good. We have a chicken korma and chicken tikka balti, with garlic nan, pilau rice and some poppadoms, all less than £20. It was delicious. I thought it would be. I walked in to pick up and everyone was suited and looked really smart. They were pleasant and polite and people eating in seemed to be having a great time, the food looked great. When we got home the korma was as good as any I have had. Would recommend this place if you fancy a good indian meal, thank you Taste of Spice, you will be our treat every time my wife gives blood!

Spice is within walking distance of our house and we visit there at least once a month for take away or to eat a meal in. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly.

Arrived shortly after opening to an empty restaurant, where the staff were immediately friendly and genuinely happy to serve us. We were offered a table and asked for drinks orders. Would highly recommend reserving a table, as later when a few people started coming in they needed to check there was enough space for later diners. Our meals came out fairly quick, and with some flourish (dishes being served onto plates instead of just given straight to us) and the waiters even gave us some recommendations based on what we seemed to like. As we were leaving the waiter went to the door to open for us, some of the politest and best service I have seen. Excellent food and look forward to going back.

This is an award winning restaurant, tucked away in Duston village and the food is superb. Sometimes a little late on delivery but the quality of the food makes up for that. In my opinion the best in Northampton by far.

The food was ok although the Tikka Makhani had a powdery texture. The delivery time was extremely long. We placed the order at 6.45 and the food arrived at 8.30! The quoted time was 8.05. I tried to ring but the phone was constantly engaged and I suspect " off the hook".

Requested delivery for 19.00. Was informed it would arrive at 19.30 and it arrived at 18.15. Ordered a lamb vindaloo but received a lamb tikka birihani. Couldnt be bothered to send a curry back but would not order again.

The food did not taste fresh also asked for it to be extra hot it came as extra bland wouldn't recommend don't think I'll be coming back.

Disappointing. Butter chicken was swimming in oil, most unpleasant. Not what I've come to expect of this take away. Not a good meal on this occasion.. Not sure if I'd order from here again. Shame.

Meal was pushed back 25 minutes form original order time given, then I had to call restaurant as meat was still not here 20 minutes past that time... I was told 10 minutes, it arrived a further 25 minutes later and was very cold..... Not the usual service I use to get from this restaurant...

Just back from an amazing meal .... we had a veg & non veg Thali meal ...excellent, cannot fault it at all ,food was amazing , service excellent and very friendly staff ...definitely recommend.
