Popped here today, after exercise class at Halstead Leisure centre, for breakfast. Today we had wild mushrooms on sour dough toast with a poached egg and it was delicious and great value for money. Always clean cafe and great service. If I had to offer and improvement I would have liked a few more mushrooms but I am greedy!!! I would recommend this cafe highly, for breakfast

We have been regular diners here for some time & always receive a warm welcome. As a diabetic my wife always, without exception, enjoys the jacket potatoes as it gives her the necessary carbohydrates for the day. I always enjoy the Chef's special soups. Highly recommended.

Spencers farm is a lovely place with a well stocked farm shop and an even better cafe/restaurant. The quiche there is possibly the finest I have tasted. A nice array of food on the menu and specials board. Also everything on one level which benefits me as I am disabled after a stroke staff very helpful and friendly I frequent spencers 3 or 4 times a month. Go and check it out.

The shop stock locally produced meat, dairy produce, wine, beer and gifts. Cakes and pastries are made on the premises. There’s a good supply of village honey and products. I've lived around here most of my life but only found out about Spencer's through a friend and wow am I glad. We came camping last weekend and it was lovely, we had a choice of having electric hook up. We were able to pick fresh strawberries while setting camp. It's quiet and peaceful with great views. We took a stroll up to the farm shop and my daughter loved the park, sand pit, goats and tractors. We picked fresh cherries, raspberries and strawberries and also had lunch in the cafe which was nice. The little shop has such wonderful local foods and drinks I wish I had more money to buy everything. Would highly recommend

We happened across the farm shop, after seeing signs on the main road. Set off the main road in a village, this pick your own farm and farm shop has a nice cafe attached. It was full of families enjoying lunch and cream teas. We sat out on the small decking area, enjoying the hens that apparently drop in from neighbours. Food was not fancy, but was nice home made fare. We had a tasty quiche and plough mans lunch (£6 each). The decking is small without shade, but we enjoyed the spot overlooking a large grass garden and pick your own. There is a small track for child's to enjoy peddle tractors, that can be watched from the decking. Staff were bright, chatty and friendly. Home made cakes and food made this above average and a pleasant find.
